Poll: What do YOU do after the election?

Starting with today’s poll, we’ll be going to a monthly, rather than weekly, polling schedule. We figure that lets us better cover big, important issues.

We may have bonus polls occasionally, but otherwise look for a poll about mid-month, every month.

To make up for any poll-addiction withdrawal symptoms, today’s poll is a double:

What will you do if Trump wins the presidential election?

And

What will you do if Clinton wins the presidential election?

Both polls are below, or you can use the links above.

Each poll has similar questions, but with a few that are customized to the particular candidate. Please answer both polls no matter which candidate you support or if you support neither of them — and select as many answers as apply.

  1. IMHO our constitutional republic is over; has been for a while now just didn’t want to admit it, at one point I had hopes of its resurrection but with one of these clowns as a leader I see no hope so it’s all about local family, friends & tribe for me from this point on, as Thomas Jefferson once said;

“The most fortunate of us, in our journey through life, frequently meet with calamities and misfortunes which may greatly afflict us; and, to fortify our minds against the attacks of these calamities and misfortunes, should be one of the principal studies and endeavors of our lives. The only method of doing this is to assume a perfect resignation to the Divine will, to consider that whatever does happen, must happen; and that by our uneasiness, we cannot prevent the blow before it does fall, but we may add to its force after it has fallen. These considerations, and others such as these, may enable us in some measure to surmount the difficulties thrown in our way; to bear up with a tolerable degree of patience under this burthen of life; and to proceed with a pious and unshaken resignation, till we arrive at our journey’s end, when we may deliver up our trust into the hands of him who gave it, and receive such reward as to him shall seem proportioned to our merit…..”

Kinda the focus now a days for me folks.

I think history will show it fell in November of 2008. It could possibly have been pulled out of the fire in 2012 or this year, but not with the current crop of clowns. The best I can hope for is to watch leftist pukes’ heads explode if Trump wins AND he then keeps the anti-PC stuff going. (But he’d have to learn to not be a genuine sh*t-for-brains even by non-PC standards, which is unlikely.)

I’ve not truly celebrated Independence Day since then. (Going to the range in my present state of mind doesn’t count as “celebrating Independence Day”).

  2. A minor “perceived bias” note: in ‘fairness’ to the two fetid piles of corruption (oops, sorry: “candidates”), the poll answers offered should be identical for each.

Also, there really should have been an answer available similar to: “Live my life according to the precepts and principles to which I adhere, preparing as necessary for perceived eventualities, keeping a watchful eye out for triggering events to which I need to react.” Because that is probably closer to what each of us will actually do most of the time after the election.

  3. A collapse is coming, and the Hill-n-Bill Traveling Snake Oil Show will only accelerate it. I doubt any politician has the ability or the stones to stop it, so I hope it happens sooner, rather than later. The longer the wait, the longer and harder the fall will be.

“If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.”
    ― Thomas Paine

    1. Now that reminds me of something interesting that came out, oh, about 2010 (and no, I’ve no idea how to find it): an article suggesting that maybe we’d have been better off if we had had a really sharp recession then let the economy recover, rather than trying to blunt it at the cost of having it last longer. The reason being, most people can withstand a few months of income lost, so even if a LOT of people were out of a job short term, we’d be OK. But having fewer people out for longer…well, most of them can’t survive it. Few can survive a year of unemployment without becoming charity (excuse me, charity is outmoded, I surely meant “welfare”) cases.

  4. Obama has replaced the US Constitution with his progressive political correctness doctrine. When NC refused to comply with his transgender bathroom dictate, he threatened to cut federal funds for non-compliance. At the same time he colludes with progressive governors where they have a legislative majority to erode and effectively repeal the second amendment.
I would look for a TRUMP administration to ENFORCE SECOND AMENDMENT COMPLIANCE. Cut federal funding to state and local governments that infringe the right of American Citizens to keep and bear arms.

    10th Amendment:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, NOR PROHIBITED BY IT TO THE STATES, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
