ERPOs: Everyone is STASI now

Sane people already know that so-called “extreme risk protective rights violating orders” are… insane.

  • Not a single bill I’ve read actually requires taking into the custody the allegedly “dangerous” person. Just one type of weapon. Just make him angry, and leaves him free to act on it, with something else.
  • None include — by deliberate design — anything approaching due process meeting federal legal standards. The accused is specifically excluded from any chance of defending or explaining himself before his property is stolen. Which, of course, is why he’ll be angry.
  • Few, if any bills, include penalties for someone filing a false report. At least one state specifically legislature voted down an amendment to add penalties for false reporting. A no-cost way to screw with one’s enemies.
  • By design, these bills allow petitions from people with minimal contact with the accused.
  • ERPOs require a standard of “evidence” for depriving someone of rights far below that of even a misdemeanor conviction. The standards are well below that of ordinary civil lawsuits. No evidence; just an unsubstantiated claim good enough for a judge who hates guns.

So how can they possibly get any worse?

What? You never heard of New York, or Gov. Cuomo?

Cuomo: Allow teachers to petition judges to seize guns
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to allow teachers to ask a judge to remove guns from the homes of troubled students.

The Democrat said on Tuesday that he will introduce the idea as legislation. He acknowledged it will face criticism from Republicans.

Under the measure, teachers and school administrators would have legal standing to petition a court to remove any firearms from the homes of students considered a threat to themselves or others.

This would allow teachers to obtain rights-violating orders against not the student, but anyone and everyone in the student’s home. Whom the teacher may have never met. Whom — supposedly — isn’t even the alleged “dangerous” person.

Don’t like guns? Start reporting students and get entire families of innocent people disarmed, without any pesky need for evidence. This being New York, I’ll guarantee they’ll find oath-breaking judges who’ll sign victim disarmament orders. I can see NYS school districts sending out memos to teachers to start collating lists of students/families to target, based on known/suspect gun wnership by a family member. Probably starting with those whose parents demand parent-teacher conferences; the damned uppity troublemakers who dare question the faculty’s authority.

I don’t live in New York (and you would have enjoyed the discussion the time a boss tried to talk me into relocating to New York City), so this wouldn’t affect me.

Yet.

The problem is that, like “standard” extreme rights violating order legislation, the gun people controllers will take any legislation Cuomo comes up with and use it as a model in other states. I can make some good guesses as to which legislators in Atlanta would leap at the chance to sponsor it here.

I have a disturbed niece who has publicly stated that she hates guns, and wants everyone over the age of 55 eliminated. What happens when she realizes she can start filing no-evidence ERPOs to fulfill her genocidal dream?

What happens when anyone having a lawncare dispute with a neighbor can send the confiscation cops out to screw him over?

What happens when ERPO legislation makes everyone a STASI informer?

Problems and Solutions

Once again, some asshole went on a shooting rampage in a school.

Once again, some asshole legislator is blaming the lack of new gun control laws, specifically universal background checks Preemptively Prove Your Innocence (PPYI) prior restraint on human/civil rights.

It’s true that the Santa Fe scumbag would not have been able to pass a background check, being seventeen years old, but… he bypassed any such checks by obtaining his weapons unlawfully in the first place. He stole them, from a locked cabinet. Does Douche Deutch honestly believe that if universal PPYI were in effect that an underage person intent upon mass murder to the point that he violated laws would suddenly exclaim, “Oh, darn! That would be illegal. Never mind.”?

The simple facts are that 1) 64% of murderers have prior felony convictions* prohibiting them from lawfully obtaining guns, but they manage it anyway; 2) 88% (or as high as 90.5%) of firearms murders are committed using stolen guns, which means they were obtained unlawfully; 3) criminals generally don’t obtain their firearms through lawful channels, doing so only 7% of the time. Pray tell, how does one enforce a lawful background check in an unlawful transaction?

And the touted background checks? No doubt, you’ve heard all about how checks have stopped sales to bad guys 2.5 million (or whatever number is being bandied about of late) times. The reality is that with a false positive rate of 94%, that’s actually 2.3 million innocent people whose Second Amendment rights were mistaken abridged. That’s why there have been so few prosecutions (I think 140-something was the last number I saw; not 140,000, not 1,400… 140. Nationwide.) coming from those millions of NICS denials. At last report, the DOJ still had a backlog of tens of thousands of denial challenges to process.

Prohibited folks intent upon committing crimes just bypass pesky PPYI inflicted on the innocent.

New gun control laws would target only the honest folks who aren’t committing the crimes. So such laws violate rights without even the lousy excuse of enhancing public safety.

So naturally the gun control crowd whines, “But we have a growing gun violence problem, and you aren’t offering any solutions.”

No, we don’t; and yes, I am.

First: No. We don’t. Even when you include the recent uptick, “gun violence” is a mostly solved problem already.

  • Firearms homicides are down 24% from 1993
  • The rate of firearms homicides is down 37%
  • Accidental firearms deaths dropped from 824 (in 1999) to 489 (in 2015)

School shootings?

Again, even with the recent jump — largely attributable to the media plastering killers’ names and faces everywhere, showing psychotic copycats the road to fame — school shootings have been trending downward for decades.

Violence isn’t really up. Violence reporting — thanks, 24/7 news networks, in desperate need of material to fill time slots and draw advertisers — is up. So kids (chronological and mental) who haven’t looked at the real data get the impression that schools are less safe than ever before in history.

We are safer because of honest folks lawfully arming and defending themselves. 338,700 times  in 2007-2011, 11,690/year even according to the anti-gun Violence Policy Center. Other researchers estimate defensive gun uses at 2.5 million, which recently located CDC data (suppressed for 20 years) suggest is a better estimate than the VPC’s.

But those upticks?

There are 3007 county units in the US. 54% — more than half — had no murders in 2014. 5% ( counties) provided 68% of all murders. 2% of the counties (60 counties) accounted for more than half of all murders. Care to guess where?

Would you like to narrow it down further? According to the Wall Street Journal, one-third (33.3%) of the national homicide spike in 2016 came from just five neighborhoods. In one city: Chicago.

Huffington Post narrows it down even more. Although you have to look at the FBI UCR data on victim and offender to see what they try to avoid stating outright.

A mostly solved problem; violence declining almost everywhere.

Second: But there is more that can be done to address the still-present (if declining) problem:

1. Teaching people the things they need to function in an honest society.
2. Providing second chances and skills to those who slip and survive.
3. Providing skills and equipment to those who want to stop the real violence.

But for the gun people controlling victim disarmers, those answers are unacceptable because they reduce their control over the population.

Solved problems are a problem for them because those don’t provide an excuse to exert more control, spend more money, generate more victims from which to profit.

The people controllers suppress self-respect and self-reliance in favor of violating everyone’s human/civil rights.

And it could backfire on them.

* Recently, I’ve been checking on regional firearms murder reports. Where the offender is identified, the prior felony rate is more like 70%. When other disqualifiers are factored in — domestic violence conviction, restraining orders, felony indictment, mental incompetency adjudication — at least 90% of the murderers were already prohibited persons. That doesn’t even count the people like the Santa Fe killer, who apparently had no disqualifying record, but was under-age to obtain his destructive implements of choice.

Gun Culture Genocide

Or call it cultural terraforming. Either way, the intent is to indoctrinate children with the idea that guns are evil. John Dewey would be proud of them.

Police called to New Haven magnet school for child making toy Lego gun
School officials said a child built a toy gun out of Lego at the Jepsen Magnet School in New Haven Thursday.

School administrators called police to the school after the child made the gun and started pointing it at the other kids.

The school’s behavioral rules do forbid toy weapons, but somehow I don’t think that’s a criminal offense, even in Connecticut. So why were the police called to enforce a school rule?

To ensure that uppity kid understands that the authorities will stomp on his rights. To expect it. To accept it.

To ensure the culture of self responsibility — expressed through firearms ownership — becomes extinct, by terrifying a small child, young enough to be playing with Legos in school, with cops.

Now, I could accept some restrictions on toy guns in school. Popping off Nerf projectiles during lessons could certainly be disruptive. And you wouldn’t want a child to be beating other children with a plastic bludgeon. But neither was a case here. The child made an inert gun-shaped assembly of plastic blocks. He allegedly pointed it at other students.

Great Ghu, did they think the Legos were going to go off?

In a sane world, the teacher might have told the child, “Johnny, that’s very creative, but you should never point even toy guns at other people. And you’re disrupting class. Put that away until recess.” End of story. It would have been a good time to start the class on the basic rules of safe firearms handling.

Nope. Someone panicked. The police were called. The police responded… to a toy gun call. Even they though they had to know there was not a criminal violation.

Where’s the investigation of school personnel filing a false report with the police? That is a crime. Even in Connecticut.

Better yet…

“School leaders and local police partners were able to investigate and resolve the issue internally with use of restorative practices.

How did the police investigate the issue? Did the police question the child? Were his parents informed and present, or other adult counsel? There is a lot of court precedent for children knowing their Miranda rights and having proper representation during questioning. In a rational world, the New Haven Police Department could be in serious legal trouble for playing the school’s game.*

And then there’s the potential for a lawsuit against the teacher, and whomever else was involved in bringing in the police. If I were the parent, that would include the pricipal and school board.

Just maybe we could culturally terraform Connecticut back into respect for the Bill of Rights. And people. Even small children.

* I sent an email to the NHPD, asking for clarification on their role. I wanted to email the school, but they’ve scrubbed every active contact link for their web site (“contact us” buttons still appear, but link to nothing).

BREAKING NEWS, BREAKING NEWS!!!!

This is a guest contribution from one of our TZP Facebook followers, Erik Johnson, who is also a friend and darn fine Viking.

It was all over the news. The radio reporter read how the United States had finally come to its senses; the time for knife control had arrived. London Mayor Sadiq Khan gave a speech to a joint session of congress repeating his words of great wisdom “No one needs to carry a knife!” Former comedians touted on their late night shows the fact that you don’t need a 10” meat cleaver to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Moms who don’t get action President Whannon Satts declared “No child should ever have to walk into a kitchen and see a weapon.” Nancy Pelosi proposed legislation banning high capacity assault knives with features similar to knives used by the military such as pliers and screwdrivers and those plastic tooth pickey thingies. Chuck Todd on Face the Nation held up a knife made by the Victorinox Corporation and asked “Who would ever need such a thing? It is clearly made for the army.” Joe Biden pointed out in a speech given to students at Berkley that in America more people are killed every year by knives than with AR-15s. Then his handlers tackled him to the ground and promptly shoved a sock in his mouth. A child who attended a school where a knife attack occurred, although he was truant on that day, Jesse Pig, waxed poetically on The View, “Our f—–g parents don’t f—–g know how f—–g to use a f—–g knife!”, then spit out the tide pod he was choking on. Of course the usual suspects gave the typical straw man arguments. National Rapier Association President Wayne LaThereThere called a press conference to ask, “How the hell are we supposed to cut a steak or even butter toast? Really people this is nuts!” Former President Obama was first to respond to the NRA’s claims saying, “Now let me be clear. No one needs a cut steak”, as a member of his secret service detail portioned a $2000 piece of kobe beef for him which he had pilfered from the White House kitchen prior to leaving office. Then my alarm went off. I looked at the pen knife I laid on the nightstand just before going to bed. “No”, I said to it, “This country will never become so insane we will try to ban knives.” The clock radio wailed as loud as it possibly could. The radio reporter read how the United States had finally come to its senses…..

Practical and commemorative. Because no one should be left defenseless!

So Penguin, about that book

So little boss Hogg and his little Hogg sister are release a book to encourage taking rights, not privileges away from adults. Rights the little Hoggs are not even old enough to enjoy as they are still children. At least that’s how he referred to himself in his recent bullying session with Laura Ingraham.

The Hogg duo anxious to capitalize on their 27 seconds of fame have “written” a book. They must be paragons of organization. What with all the media appearance, school work and now managing to get a book released. All on their own. Amazing.

I received the following from a active TZP follower of facebook:

#NeverAgain has been the cry of the Jews for decades to remind people of the Holocaust under Nazi Germany.

Now, activist and high school student David Hogg is using the title “Never Again” for a book he is writing that will be published by Penguin Random House.

The book is about gun control. “A new generation has made it clear that problems previously deemed unsolvable due to powerful lobbies and political cowardice will be theirs to solve,” according to the preview of the upcoming book.

For anyone wishing to contact Penguin Random House about the title,

please call at 212-782-9000;

e-mail to: customerservice@penguinrandomhouse.com, RHAcademic@penguinrandomhouse.com, penguinpublicity@us.penguingroup.com, atrandompublicity@randomhouse.com, penguinpress@penguinrandomhouse.com

Should you wish to let Penguin books who have chosen to publish this know your opinion that’s how you can do so.

So thank you follower of TZP!!

“[T]he riffle was a friend of his.”

The bravery of the Broward SO is exceeded only by their linguistic skills. [/sarc]

Uhm…
1) the video is still up
2) what’s a “riffle”?
3) they used my dad’s name as my mom’s
4) why did I need to tell you I didn’t threaten anyone, why didn’t you bother to look up the Tweet before?

I sent Mr. Kashuv a message earlier, hoping to clarify some points. I haven’t received a response, but I think this answers some of the questions:

Mr. Pittman, it was an illegal and unconstitutional detainment. See U.S. Code § 1983 and JDB v. North Carolina
1) the derogatory mentions of poliical beliefs.
2) the LEO in back of me holding my chair.
3) not contacting my parents prior
4) Calling me into a locked office

Taken to an office and the door locked, deputy holding his chair behind him. Sounds like “custody” to me, and questioning without parental or legal representation. Still no mention of Miranda being read to him.

Broward County taxpayers are not going to be happy about the inevitable settlement.

Broward County grabs shovel, digs deeper

The Broward County Sheriff’s office and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School seem determined to cost taxpayers millions in legal settlements.

I found this report today:

BREAKING: Anti-Gun Control Parkland Survivor Kyle Kashuv Questioned By School Security For Visiting Gun Range With His Father
Near the end of third period, my teacher got a call from the office saying I need to go down and see a Mr. Greenleaf. I didn’t know Mr. Greenleaf, but it turned out that he was an armed school resource officer. I went down and found him, and he escorted me to his office. Then a second security officer walked in and sat behind me. Both began questioning me intensely. First, they began berating my tweet, although neither of them had read it; then they began aggressively asking questions about who I went to the range with, whose gun we used, about my father, etc. They were incredibly condescending and rude.

Then a third officer from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office walked in, and began asking me the same questions again. At that point, I asked whether I could record the interview. They said no. I asked if I had done anything wrong. Again, they answered no. I asked why I was there. One said, “Don’t get snappy with me, do you not remember what happened here a few months ago?”

They continued to question me aggressively, though they could cite nothing I had done wrong. They kept calling me “the pro-Second Amendment kid.” I was shocked and honestly, scared. It definitely felt like they were attempting to intimidate me.

This is only one side of the story. As yet, I haven’t seen responses from the school or sheriff.

On the one hand, the authorities might well say that they are acting in a new abundance of caution in the aftermath of their previous massive collection of failures. That could even be reasonable.

They’ll still have to explain in court why a person who assaulted people and damaged property at school, who put guns to people’s heads and threatened to kill them, who vandalized property, who killed animals maliciously, who credibly threatened to shoot up his school — et cetera and so forth — warranted less of an investigation than a pro-rights kid who appears on national TV, meets with Senators, goes to the White House, and has never threatened anyone.

Working with Kashuv’s account, we have a kid who posted nonthreatening accounts of learning shoot with his father and an instructor, with pro-Second Amendment statements (i.e.- political speech outside of school). His principal tells him some students didn’t like his posts, but that he hadn’t done anything wrong.

Apparently Kashuv was considered so nonthreatening that he continued on to multiple classes without incident.

Until after noon, when he was sent to see “Mr. Greenleaf.”

Aside: Kashuv refers to Greenleaf a an “armed school resource officer.” Earlier reports identify a “Kevin Greenleaf” as a “civilian security monitor” and a “security specialist at the high school”. If he is a civilian and armed on school property, isn’t that a violation of Florida Statute 790.06? If he is a law enforcement officer — a sheriff’s school resource officer — why do multiple reports refer to him otherwise?

Kashuv says he met Greenleaf who, rather than speaking to him informally where they met, specifically took him to an office, where they were joined by a “second security officer walked in and sat behind me.”

If I was surrounded by armed people, I’d consider myself to be in custody. Oh, wait; I did consider myself in custody. And that wasn’t even in a private office.

Then a third officer from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office walked in, and began asking me the same questions again.

“Third officer” reinforces the concept of custody. And it raises the question of whether a civilian “security monitor” or “security specialist” presented himself as a law enforcement officer. I would very much like to see Greenleaf’s status clarified.

I’ve mentioned “custody” a few times for a good reason. A person in custody must be read his Miranda rights and allowed to stop talking without legal representation. A minor has additional protections because the courts assume that a minor can reasonably believe he is in custody under conditions that would not necessarily apply to an adult.

Kyle Kashuv was sixteen at the time of the shooting, and is still a legal minor. He was taken to a private office, apparently by an armed person, and questioned there by two, and then three, armed people whom Kashuv identified as “officers.” I am not a lawyer, but that sounds a lot like a situation in which he would believe himself to be in “custody.”

So Kashuv’s account raises questions that need answering by the school and sheriff’s office:

  • If the questioners said Kashuv had done nothing wrong, was this harassment purely for his out-of-school free political speech in support of Second Amendment rights?
  • Is Greenleaf a civilian unlawfully armed in a school?
  • If Greenleaf is a civilian, is he presenting himself in a way that would cause a reasonable person — especially a minor — to believe he is a law enforcement officer; that is, impersonating an officer?
  • Was Kashuv in custody and questioned without Miranda rights to parental or legal representation?

If Greenleaf is an armed civilian in the school, I expect we’ll see the school throw him under the bus. “Oh, we didn’t know he was carrying a gun in school. We’ll fire him immediately.” To cover their own asses, the sheriff’s office may have to arrest him.

I’m looking forward to statements from the BCoward Sheriff’s Office and the school.

Rally Ho

Yeah, it’s a little take off on “Tally Ho”, the old fox hunting call stating the quarry has been sighted. I was recently lucky enough to attend a Second Amendment rally. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to one. I used to go every year to the big rally held in my state’s lovely Capitol building. But then, well, life, etc. and so I haven’t gone for a few years. And that’s bad. We had a decent size crowd, nowhere near what it was back when concealed carry was originally the big push. Then the rotunda was packed. My state’s concealed carry was pushed back by the helpful NRA’s interference, which is another story. But finally it passed, and was promptly vetoed by a Demoncratic governor. The veto was overridden, and that whole saga is another story as well, but those days the capitol was packed with us “gun nuts”. There have been some years where the crowd was very meager. But we all listened to fantastic speakers, and were so very fortunate as to have two famous book authors among them. Bills that needed our support were discussed. The big ticket item everyone wanted this year was elimination of legally mandated target rich environment zones, also known as “Gun Free Zones”. By that I mean if a store wants to post a “gun free, come on in criminal” sign they are more than welcome to do so. Nothing is stopping them. But while this column is a couple years old, before the most recent gun free zone killings, the details all remain. And nicely discount some progressive publications saying that no criminal has every picked a target because it was “gun-free”. They have. This one is interesting as well. Here’s How Many Lives Were Taken in Just 8 Armed Attacks in Gun Free Zones.

But other states have suffered as a result of putting total faith in the NRA rating system. Recently no less. How Vermont’s NRA A-rated governor was ‘shocked’ into backing new gun laws

Surrounded by gun-control opponents heckling him outside the Vermont State House on Wednesday, Gov. Phil Scott (R) signed into law the most restrictive gun-control measures in the state’s history.

While some had come to thank him, Scott knew that many there who voted for him based in part on his A-grade rating from the NRA were “disappointed and angry” with him, he said.

Some yelled “Traitor!” and “BS!” as he tried to assure them that the laws he was about to sign were not intended to “take away your guns — period.” Others told him he had lost their votes and brandished signs that said “One Term Gov” and “Not My Governor.”

But it was clear from his remarks that Scott had already considered all of that.

Well, alrighty then. The NRA Got Harry Reid Re-Elected.

School attacks concern everyone. But we certainly have different ideas on how to stop them. Conservatives think making the prey less easy to attack works well in many real life situations. That’s why folks call the police and hope they don’t have Coward County Sheriff Scott for law-enforcement. But it takes time for them to get there, even if they do come in. So why not let teachers fight back rather than die trying to hold a door shut?

Well, for one. Insurance companies don’t want to cover it. They claim they aren’t anti-gun, just afraid they’ll lose money.

Oh, some are in favor of arming the teachers, so they can fight back. With a bucket of rocks, or A district armed its teachers with tiny baseball bats, urging them to fight back in a shooting

It’s like their brains say, “hmm, well, leaving them defenseless isn’t working.” So some of them double down on stupid, and say they don’t want armed guards, no guns near schools. And some say, well, we need to give them a chance to do something besides beg for mercy when there is none. So we’ll give them tiny little souvenir baseball bats. Nothing that could be construed as a weapon of course, because we are a weapon free safe zone, well, safe for armed criminals of course. School kids? Meh, not so much.

I think the answer is gun free zones liability act. Your school chooses to be gun free and your child is harmed? Mental anguish, you sue the heck out of the school district. Let the insurance companies pay, because most assuredly the parents and students will be paying the rest of their lives. However long they may be.

But enough about the NRA, and the bill to decrease easy targets.

I could go to rally, yes, it was a bit of a drive but not that bad. I realize there might be people not all that happy to see me, but thought it would be good to see old friends and show support. Not every gal gets that chance. Marion Hammer, the NRA’s top lobbyist in Florida, didn’t attend a public hearing on a gun ordinance because of death threats. And NRA spokesman Dana Loesch has certainly received more than her fair share of threats, including raping her to death, and hunting down her and her children and assaulting them.

Why is it, all the “stop the violence” “give peace a chance” “end gun violence” people are so, well, violent? Wanting to physically harm and dominate physically smaller and weaker people with whom they disagree? And progressives wonder why we need to be armed? I don’t think they really do, I think they just want to manipulate citizens into defenselessness. But all this business about posting pictures of her house? She ended up moving. I don’t blame her. Wonder how they know some of this stuff? Because I’m pretty sure she didn’t give them her address and invite them over for coffee.

Interesting you should ask in light of other hearing that have been going on at another “Crapital”. Yes I will explain that later.

Yes, I’m referring to the hearing currently going on in Jefferson City about the massive amount of data collection Facebook has been doing. I heard a radio host ask an interesting question lately. If Facebook is free, and they don’t collect and sell our data, or give it away, how did Zuckerberg get to be such a rich man off providing a “free” service and web site? Good question. They can’t, at least they can’t in Europistan. Facebook’s Dirty Little Secret

Here’s the proof. This month, the European Court of Justice, the European Union’s highest court, handed down a ruling that stops Facebook from collecting digital information about non-Facebook users. Wait, what? Yes, Facebook collects information about the online activities of users and non-users alike. Any site that has a Facebook “Like” button plays peek-a-boo with your private information. According to Facebook, that button along with the “Share” one are on almost 10 million websites and used 4.5 billion times every day.

But Zuckerberg didn’t want it to end there.

Facebook’s secret operation to access medical records

According to sources close to the project, Facebook planned to collect information about age, diseases, prescribed medications and visits to the hospitals. This data could be combined with the information that Facebook knows about its users: marital status, language preferences, activity in the community and etc. After the Cambridge Analytica and the call-data collection scandals, this crazy medical data gathering project seem to be even more ludicrous.

Oh well, it’s not like insurance companies are anti-freedom and anti-self-defense, right?

Kaiser Permanente to launch $2 million gun violence research effort

It’s not like Facebook would ever use any of your posts, like about going to a Second Amendment rally, or anything to turn you in to your anti-gun insurance company is it? And it’s not like your anti-gun insurance company would ever turn you in to the FBI because you take one of the drugs your doctor says you should take, but ex-medical expert barry obama said you shouldn’t be allowed to own a gun if you do.

A friend of mine asked an interesting question in response to the Kaiser article I posted.

Trivia for you. How did the Germans know who to round up for the death camps. After all you can’t see Jewish, and a lot of Jews are notorious non practitioners. So how the brown shirts know? Hint: If you are dying in a hospital how do the know to send a Priest, Rabbi, witch doctor or Baptist Minister? Bonus Hint: Germany had a “better” national health care system in 1898 than the U.S. does now. Be afraid of those who control your medical records and what they put in it.

Kind of goes along with the gun confiscations we’re seeing on “Mental health” grounds doesn’t it? The ones without due process.

So, if you’re feeling like a bit of activism at the moment, you can go to Gun Owners of America and send letters to your state’s congress critters. Here is their article.

Legislative Proposals to Confiscate Guns are Sweeping Through the Country You might want to do a pre-emptive strike since the NRA may be “helping”.

In addition, NRA has reportedly entertained support for some form of these bills, although it is not clear where they would draw the line.

And here’s a direct link to the letter. Stop Gun Confiscation Orders In Your State

So, about the “Crapital” comment. A friend of mine at rally has two boys. Young, I’m guessing 8 and 4 years maybe? Hey, it’s not like horses where you can check their teeth! But the oldest one calls the Capitol, the “Crapitol” out of the mouths of babes. These are awesome kids. We sent a couple messages back and forth on Face (the spy who hates me) book and he relayed his visit to his legislative rep. The man turned to:

Leif and asks if this is his first time at the Crapital and Leif responds “This is my fourth RALLY” and points to Hakon and says “it is his third”.

These are kids that will grow up valuing freedom. Because they know it takes work. So when your state has a Second Amendment rally? Take the day off, go. When our side has a dismal turn out it does not bode well. Many of the legislators with less than pure motives respond not to what’s right, but to who has the most votes to offer. And I will tell you I was told that Mad Mommies in their little red shirts are at the Crapitol every week. Every week. Handing out Bloomberg disarmament talking points. We’ve got to suit up and show up. I don’t plan to miss another one. Lobbyists get a bad rap, but unless you can take time off work every week, it helps for your grassroots Second Amendment group to have one to watch out for you. And that’s my last point, do, please find your local grassroots Second Amendment group and join and get involved. Very often they are the ones doing the heavy lifting on these good pro-freedom pro-gun bills. But for now? You can send a letter for free.

Eli Rosenberg, whom I would expect to know better, is upset that the Parkland Youth are being likened to Nazis.

A new epithet emerges for Parkland teens calling for more gun control: Nazis
They continue to be lightening rods for some conservative media and politicians, despite some indications that they enjoy wide support nationally. And now, they are being likened to Nazis.

Memes comparing the Parkland students to Nazis have circulated at the fringes for days, but on Tuesday seemed to find a wider audience.

I wonder what gives people that impression.

Hijacking “Never Again” to promote victim disarmament as the Nazis did with the Weapons Law of 1938 (which has its own odd connection to previous US legislation)? I keep expecting to Hogg to froth at the mouth and bring up a “final solution.”

Or maybe it’s their attire.

It couldn’t possibly be this:

Virtue Signal

Or their use of the “Big Lie” that they’re the “mass shooting generation” (then stop doing that, kids).

Mr. Rosenberg, I think you’re complaining to the wrong people about the Nazi references.

Well, Let’s Just Call It What It Is, Shall We?

I’ve been intending to do another column on the reaction to the school shooting because there is just so much there that feels, well, off. But then, well, I’ll get to that.

There were of course the things that tell you how very important ending violence is to some of these respectful teenagers.

And these kids are trying to convince us we don’t need guns to protect ourselves, huh. Notice, they were only suppose to be out of class for 17 minutes. A lot can happen very fast in a short period of time, especially when there is a large group committed to mayhem.

One of the writers at The Victory Girls blog has a daughter who didn’t walk out and she gives her account of how the day went, and the walkout.

But these “marches” must be absolutely critical to saving future lives. Because Baltimore Can’t Afford to Heat Schools, But is Paying $100k to Bus Students to Gun Control Rally

The mayor of Baltimore is receiving much-deserved criticism after she allocated $100,000 to bus students to a gun control rally in Washington D.C. later this month. The reason for the criticism is founded in the fact that students froze all winter long because the mayor says they have no money to fix the slew of broken heaters.

…….

Fast forward to March, and all of the sudden—in spite of claiming they have no money—the mayor has miraculously pulled $100,000 out of nowhere to bus thousands of students to a gun control rally in Washington D.C.

“America needs to hear the voices of the young people of Baltimore,” Pugh told the students before announcing the city’s plan to fund the trip to the “March for Our Lives” rally in Washington, D.C., on March 24.

The $100,000 will pay for 60 buses, free t-shirts, boxed lunches and other amenities for a few thousand students who signed up to go to the rally.

Huh, the heck ya say?

But that Baltimore mayor has some interesting idea of how city funds should be spent, and to whom they should be allocated. So parents with frozen kids? Just realize that your frozen kid isn’t really that important except as a political pawn. Baltimore mayor announces taxpayer-funded defense fund for illegal immigrants

Judicial Watch reported last week that the city panel approved spending $200,000 for the month of March as a way to pay for lawyers representing illegal immigrants with deportation orders. Pugh said in a local news report that the goal is for everyone to receive due process.

$100,000 here, $200,000 there and pretty soon you’re talking some real money.

Now some schools in Pennsylvania realize that perhaps the horrible will happen there, and the kids and teachers should have something they could do to maybe save their lives.

Pa. school district arms teachers, students with buckets of rocks in case of shooting. Well, I suppose it’s not like it hasn’t been successful before. I’m not one of them that is going to mock the superintendent for coming up with the idea. The liberals insist they throw books at them, so rocks are a step up from that.

But let’s not have armed guards, oh no. Schools are no place for guns. Until they are. Like the stabbing rampage in Pennsylvania leaving 21 injured. Or the failed “mass shooting” in Maryland when officer Blaine Gaskill heard the gunfire, and unlike the “law enforcement” of Coward County, he didn’t “form up outside” he rushed in and ended it. Two wounded at that shooting, the attempted murderer is dead.

These things must be happening every week right? No, not so much. Not for the amount of haste with which the children are demanding the rights of law abiding citizens be shredded. Even the left-wing NPR admits it. NPR: Parkland Attack Was Horrible but There Is No School Shooting Epidemic

So what’s up with all of this? Well, yesterday I was peacefully eating my cheese and jalapeño omelet and perusing a copy of March 2018 Israel Today. And there it was. The answer. In a article written by Dr. Tsvi Sadan (TS). Am I name dropping if I say I’ve met him? It’s an article on Psychological Warfare. Psy Ops. Do you think I’m being melodramatic? Let me plug in some of Dr. Tsvi’s questions to Ron Schleifer (RS). He is a teacher of psychological warfare at Ariel University and is one of Israel’s foremost experts in the field. He founded the Ariel Research Center for Defense and Communications.

Guesses where this was taken?

So let’s get to it shall we? First, a note, I am not typing it out verbatim. But rather the cliff notes version. Nor am I giving you all the questions, just the ones I think relevant to the topic.

TS: Define psychological warfare.

RS: The enemies use of non-violent methods against it’s rival during war time or armed conflict to achieve it’s own objectives. This definition excludes domestic and other civil disputes from the psychological operations (PO).

TS: It seems Israel is shying away from PO and propaganda in general.

RS: It is, the government is preoccupied with public diplomacy, and the idea of conscience-changing, a wonderful invention of Karl Marx. Rather than argue based on facts and reason, Marx sought to change the conscience with aggressive sermonizing. The tactic is to shout first, and shout loudest, and thereby gain the upper hand.

TS: How does PO work in the social arena?

RS: Unlike espionage, which seeks to collect information, PO exploits human weakness to disperse information. It abuses peace, democracy and morality for political ends. It’s very clever, because who wants to oppose peace or morality? The question, of course, is what morality means. And here is where the shouting and money come into play. You will win the day if you are the first to finance a shouting campaign that defines what morality is.

Ok, let me start throwing things in here.

And here is where he shouting and money come into play

How did all the marches get coordinated so fast? And who is footing the bill? The ever wonderful Daniel Greenfield has done quite a lot of digging, Daniel has. Who Runs March for Our Lives?

This is truly a follow the money article, here’s a niblet, but reading the whole article is well worth it.

Who are those people? A leaked document reveals that the March for Our Lives Action Fund is actually overseen by six directors and is incorporated in Delaware.

So far we have Los Angeles, New York and Delaware, but not Florida.

And the next bit?

It abuses peace, democracy and morality for political ends.

What could possibly be gained from all these fired up political pawns, and all these supportive adults? Alluded to in the Victory Girls blog article above.

Democrats Reveal The REAL Reason for ‘March for Our Lives,’ and It’s Bad

Yep, it’s bad for a Constitutional Republic. A big part of the March for our lives was the massive Demoncratic voter drive going on. It seems you couldn’t swing a dead possum without hitting a mess of Demoncratic voter registration people set up registering the future Demoncrats. Teachers were tweeting about taking students to the “march” and getting them registered to vote Demoncrat. Crowd photos and Twitter screen shots are in the article.

Back to Dr. Tsvi and Ron.

TS: Are pro-Palestinian Israeli NGOs being manipulated?

RS: Of course. Take for example Jibril Rajoub, former head of Palestinian security forces an current head of the Palestinian Football Association. This is a man who mercilessly tortured untold numbers of fellow Palestinians, but who is now sought out by peace seeking Israelis. Under the guise of his new benign position……Not everyone can detect the cynicism, and if you are a kindred spirit, you will be converted. This is a honey trap few can resist.

Ok, we have politicians saying guns have no place in schools. We have idiot dumber than dog crap Republicans who think female teachers are “scared” of firearms and so shouldn’t be given the choice. And then there are those precious little political pawns being used in the demoncrats of the future round up. They just can’t see law abiding citizens divested of their Constitutional rights, and G-d given rights to self defense stripped away fast enough to suit them. They wouldn’t be caught within 5 miles of a gun! Evil machines of death, the only purpose is to kill, right Little Hogg? He’s the son of Boss Hogg, right?

Not everyone can detect the cynicism, and if you are a kindred spirit, you will be converted. This is a honey trap few can resist

Does anyone remember hearing about a school called Sidwell Friends?

Described as “the Harvard of Washington’s private schools”,the school has educated children of notable politicians, including those of several presidents. Both of former United States President Barack Obama’s daughters, Sasha and Malia, and former Vice President Joe Biden’s grandchildren attend the school. President Theodore Roosevelt’s son Archibald, Richard Nixon’s daughter Tricia, Bill Clinton’s daughter Chelsea Clinton, and Vice President Al Gore’s son, Albert Gore III, graduated from Sidwell Friends.

You know, that’s a lot of very anti-self-defense politicians kids that went there. There have been comments made down through the years, that Sidwell friends has armed guards. There is quite a interesting article on that Does the Sidwell Friends School Have Armed Guards? So, the children of anti-self-defense politicians are worth something, their lives are worth protecting. Your kids? Meh, not so much. The little liberty thieves might want to chew that one over.

The march was held in D.C. which is basically big gun free zone, so at least the political pawns and future Demoncrat voters didn’t have to worry a gun might just “go off” like the news media convinces them guns do. Um, well, apparently as political pawns, and when big ticket people are there, they are worthy of protection. NARRATIVE FAIL: Tons Of ‘Good Guys With Guns’ Protecting #MarchForOurLives Gun Control Rally

Again.

Not everyone can detect the cynicism, and if you are a kindred spirit, you will be converted. This is a honey trap few can resist

So, let’s just call this what it probably is, shall we? This is Psychological Warfare, I believe, straight from Marx and Alinsky. They define moral as disarmed and defenseless. Waiting for the government to come and save them from a threat. Like the school in Florida did. There was a tweet sent to TZP by someone who appeared to be a young girl by her profile picture that informed us it was inconceivable that a Jew in the 21st Century would need to “prove” themselves by owning a gun. I replied she had confused “proving” with “protecting”.

At the end of the interview Dr. Tsvi states Israeli society can be driven to civil war, and it’s our government’s responsibility to avert this threat.

Israel is not America, I will not even attempt to speak for Israeli society, but will merely say I believe in America, it is OUR, as in U.S. the citizens responsibility. Because most assuredly, I do believe this is what they are after, a civil war. It may bother them that we have guns, because they intend at some near future point to be in control of the government and perhaps they then plan to turn it’s guns on us.

Some wag commented since these children are so brilliant when they get done solving this, we need to ask them what to do about North Korea.

These children have been failed on a lot of levels. Their parents didn’t teach them you don’t always get your way. So they think public displays of temper tantrums are an expression of their “brilliance”. They have been failed by a fawning media eager to advance their own objectives and are using these pawns as props in their narrative. Few even handed journalists have talked to them. They are failed by politicians with taxpayer-funded security, who’s children perhaps go or went to a protected school. They have been failed by their indoctrinators who didn’t really teach them. They didn’t teach them history, or to think. They used the impressionable children to indoctrinate them.

And the result? When you virtue signal Lil Boss Hogg, you may be signaling more than you realize. But then you wouldn’t know anything about that, would you?

Virtue Signal

We DO.

You see, we remember very well, and we will stayed armed. We do it for our children.
