Why We Fight

Today is D-Day, and I suppose in a lead up to D-Day Shimshon and I have been watching some (what I consider) relevant movies and documentaries. We started watching Band of Brothers last week and a couple of nights ago finished it. One of the episodes is called “Why We Fight”. If you haven’t seen Band of Brothers I’ll give you the relevant point. The war is pretty much over, a few of the men from Easy Company are out in the woods on patrol, just kind of clearing the area when they run across the first concentration camp they’ve seen. They don’t know what it is. They send one of the men back to headquarters to try to find an officer. He finds Dick Winters (who was a very good officer, and I suspect and even better human) and the next scene is of a few officers; Ronald Speirs, Lewis Nixon and some of the rest of Easy Company including Joesph Liebgott. This mattered because Liebgott spoke German. In the first part of the episode many of the men had been questioning why had they given up the years of their lives to live in trenches and fight bad men. After they saw the concentration camps, and Liebgott was able to ask them questions and relay the answers to the officers they all more fully understood the situation. Dick Winters later tells Lewis Nixon the Russians found camps that were even worse. I suspect that may have been the first time some of the boys had seen that level of depravity and evil that can be inflicted on fellow human beings. The next lesson the men learned was “cultured, civilized” people are perfectly capable of standing by and allowing the atrocities, murder and starvation of innocent people. When the men of Easy talked to the town people they all denied knowing anything about it. Apparently one of the Generals had a brilliant idea. The townspeople were hauled out to the concentration camp to bury the bodies. The trait is easily visible today and when someone is being attacked there will be 4,352 TikTok, YouTube and FakeBook videos of the whole thing. Of someone like Daniel Penny stepping in to help others? Not so many.

The next atrocity to be fought was in Israel. You see the Not So Great Britain was there. Last night Shimshon and I watched the 2014 Documentary The Forsaken Promise. This is the whole documentary. Not sure how long it will be there.

The League of Nations trusted Britain to establish a national home for the Jews in their historic homeland, Israel.

The “Mandate for Palestine,” an historical League of Nations document, laid down the Jewish legal right to settle anywhere in western Palestine, a 10,000-square-miles3 area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

The legally binding document was conferred on April 24, 1920 at the San Remo Conference, and its terms outlined in the Treaty of Sèvres on August 10, 1920. The Mandate’s terms were finalized and unanimously approved on July 24, 1922, by the Council of the League of Nations, which was comprised at that time of 51 countries,4 and became operational on September 29, 1923.5

The “Mandate for Palestine” was not a naive vision briefly embraced by the international community in blissful unawareness of Arab opposition to the very notion of Jewish historical rights in Palestine. The Mandate weathered the test of time: On April 18, 1946, when the League of Nations was dissolved and its assets and duties transferred to the United Nations, the international community, in essence, reaffirmed the validity of this international accord and reconfirmed that the terms for a Jewish National Home were the will of the international community, a “sacred trust” – despite the fact that by then it was patently clear that the Arabs opposed a Jewish National Home, no matter what the form.

But despite being trusted by the entire league of nations to re-establish Israel (the nation, the tribes) in Israel (the land) Britain did not do that. In fact, Britain not only limited the number of Jews fleeing hitler and the nazis, they sent refugee ships back. But, so did America under the Demoncratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The British disarmed the Jews living in Israel as best as they could, while arming the arabs. In the riots of the 1920s and onward the Brits would stand back and allowed the Jews they had disarmed to be slaughtered. One horrific example at 1:45:00 into the documentary details the attack of 13 April 1948 when a medical convoy was trying to get to the Hadassah hospital in the besieged Jerusalem. The convoy was carrying patients, medical personnel and supplies, it was stopped and attacked by arabs. The Brits checked every convoy trying to get into Jerusalem to make sure that none of the Jews had any weapons, so they were defenseless against the arabs. The people were butchered. No, I didn’t mean killed. There was a British outpost nearby and the soldiers wanted to intervene and were told to stand down. It is reported some of the soldiers cried as they watched the slaughter and mutilation that followed. But they didn’t do anything. There are photographs of the aftermath in the video.

When the refugee ships came in to Israel, the Brits would put the Jews in one of several prison camps. One woman was in prison for five years, she and her husband had escaped, but she lost her whole family to the nazis in the concentration camps. She told of how the British soldiers would beat the prisoners, really they were quite despicable. But if you look at the pattern of the Brits…..America vs. Britain, Ireland vs Britain, Israel vs. Britain….Britain has not been on the side of good in any of those, and in the beginning of WWII Chamberlain made appeasement with hitler, so.

There was really nothing Israel could do about it at this point. They didn’t have control of their own country. The British did, the Jewish Israelis just had to suffer at the whims of the anti-Semitic British government. Oh, yes I did mean to say that. Watch the documentary. See, when your local politicians are not in control, when they have to bow to the will of others who may not have the very best welfare of your nation at heart when making decisions, it will not turn out well. This is something to keep in mind as the traitorous criminal Joe Biden tries to turn U.S. over to the benevolent dictatorship of the W.H.O. with the pandemic treaty. WHO Pandemic Treaty Is a Threat to Liberty. They are already talking about digital tracking. Seems the injection mandates and green passports were just such a dandy paradigm that a lot of the framework is already in place. We already have the FIB so we have the SS who are willing to throw political opposition in the Gulag to prevent them from speaking out. According to whistle blower Steven Friend, it’s not the rank and file of the FIB, instead is the leadership at the top.

Which brings me to leadership. Both examples are from WWII, both of these men came from humble backgrounds. I don’t know that either of them ever aspired to fame, but G-d put something in them that was needed on that day at that time, leadership.

The first man I mentioned earlier, Ronald Speirs, clip is 1:26 seconds long.

The next man I think I may have written about before, General Norman Dutch Cota, he puts paid to the notion you have to be in your prime and in great shape to make great things happen. 7:05 seconds long.

These men fought, because they knew what lay behind them were things they loved and cared about, family, friends and a way of life, their country and freedom to live their lives as they chose. They may have known some of what they were fighting against in front of them, but I don’t think in the beginning they even fully grasped the depth of evil they were up against. Man’s inhumanity to man.

I believe G-d puts the ability to fight back against evil into every creature. I believe we have the ability to fight on despite odds being against us. Every creature.

That cat absolutely is inspiring, and yes, it’s a cat not a small dog. Dogs don’t slap or bat like that. It’s a partisan guerilla cat! It gets in, gets the job done and gets out. A Chuck Norris cat.

Yes, we have a lot stacked against U.S. right now, and many of our fellow citizens have fallen victim to the Fifth Generation Warfare being conducted against U.S. by our own corrupt government. So we may not have as many allies as we should, and have more enemies than we deserve. But we don’t get to choose that bit. We do get to choose if we will pick up the torch that was handed U.S. by the men and women of WWII. It’s all about our mindsets. Maybe we will talk to people, maybe we will contact politicians, maybe we will go to political rallies and meetings, maybe we will donate money to people like Sen. Josh Hawley that actually do fight back. Goodness knows Soros donates to the likes of Kim Fox, Kim Gardner and their ilk. Maybe we just talk to our kids and grandkids and make sure they understand truth and reality and try to offset some of the damage being done in public schools. Maybe we become more informed about issues. Maybe we join our local grassroots Second Amendment group. But there will be some way for each of us to fight, because 79 years after D-Day, we have a far better idea of why we fight than they did that day they landed on the beaches of Normandy.

As I watch the information come out about what Demoncrats and the corrupt intelligence services have done to our country over the last few years, I realize I’m due a reminder. A reminder that this world is G-d’s. He created it and us, we are to create a home for him in this world. And that brings me to the topic of today’s very short column. But, there are movies! You must however supply your own popcorn and drinks.

On that day in 1967, despite Israel’s very best efforts not to reunite Jerusalem, it was. Many Israeli soldiers paid a very high price for it. But many Israeli citizens had been paying a high price before it was reunited in terms of ongoing terrorism.

You must understand the police will not allow Jews to prostrate themselves on the Temple Mount and pray. Now Muslims? Oh yeah, they can throw rocks, fireworks attack and kill people and then run and hide in the mosque. They can have picnics and desecrate things, that’s all “status quo”. Sort of like Demoncrats and peaceful riots. They destroy things, that’s what they do.

This next one is short, but very interesting:

Rabbi Zvi Yehudah Kook, the Rosh Yeshivah (Dean) of the Merkaz HaRav Yeshivah in Jerusalem, addressed his students on Israel Independence Day, 1967, just two and a half weeks before the outbreak of the Six Day War. In the video, the rabbi can be heard bemoaning the fact that Israel’s holy sites and cities were all in the hands of her enemies, and Jews had no access to the holy places.

You know, Israel tried to do everything it could to keep peace. They tried to compromise with entities that hate them and want to see them destroyed. They tried it, they tried to act reasonably and honorably. And all that happened was that was used against them. Israel told Jordan not to get involved, Israel had been helping the King of Jordan whom some of the other Arab countries had been threatening. And yet, when King Hussein heard the Arab version of cnn and msnbc saying they had Israel in a box, the walls were closing in on them. Any day now they were going to be destroyed forev….oh wait. Wrong topic for those particular lies. Those lies came from another group that want to destroy a different country and a different leader. But, like people that are on their 17^th Covid booster, King Hussein believed the Egyptians and Syrians that they were ripping the Israelis a new one. And so, they jumped in and began shelling Israeli civilian areas in Jerusalem. And G-d gave a miracle paid for in the blood of innocent Israelis fighting throughout the city. The odds were horrible, Syria, Egypt and Jordan against Israel. The soldiers talked about how they didn’t really have maps or much familiarity with the parts of Jerusalem they were fighting in. Some went down wrong alleys, took wrong turns, but they fought on. There comes a time when you realize with some parties there can and will never be a compromise possible. Peace will only come when one side is defeated. Much like the battle of good and evil, will you compromise with evil to achieve peace? Israel must never again give up land for peace, and conservatives must quit trying to reach reasonable compromise with the left which has been taken over by the communists. As they said they would. The media will portray U.S. as “extremists” and “radicals”, no matter what they do. Trying to compromise with evil is always a losing proposition. They have the media (propaganda arm of the communist party) to spin their story anyway they want it.

And that brings me to this point, Should You Trust It Will Be Good When Everything Looks Bad?

Here’s a story, told in the Talmud,1 to recall whenever ominous clouds stand overhead:

When King Chizkiah (Ezekiah) fell ill, Isaiah the prophet came to visit him. But rather than console him, he announced a heavenly decree: He was to die in this world and he would not receive a share in the World to Come.

“Isaiah,” countered the king. “Cease your prophecy and leave! So have I received from my ancestor David: Even as a sharp sword rests upon your neck, do not refrain from pleading for divine mercy.”

Then he turned to the wall and began to pray from the innermost of his heart—and he lived another 15 glorious years.

I realize things look rather grim, but that’s why I think this is a good time to remember that the despite all appearances, there can be things in play that we have no idea. Would things be better now if the Communist Moshe Dayan hadn’t given Har HaBayit back to Jordan? Of course. That’s why G-d gave it to us. But I suppose it’s best to end this little column with bitachon (from the above link)

Really, it’s beyond faith. Faith is when, despite all that you know and see, you hold tight to the conviction that G‑d is good and all He does is good, even if for the moment you can’t fathom how it is good—because it comes from such a high place that it is impossible for you to fathom.

But trust—bitachon—is an emotional response. To trust in G‑d is to stay calm and confident, just as if you could see the good clearly and enjoy it with all your senses.

Even if you can’t achieve such calm, you can imagine someone who really does live in such a way. You can say to yourself, “I know that this is so and it makes sense to me that I should feel calm and confident, just like Zusia of Anipoli or some other great tzadik.” Imagine that calmness, embrace the moment, and it will become much easier to attain it.

I’m having trust issues. I am beginning to think the government both state and federal doesn’t love U.S. or have our very best interests at heart. Since it’s Saturday night, I think some movies might be in order! Most of the clips are 2-3 minutes. The longer ones are the one about the DMED with Attorney Tom Renz testifying, it’s a hyperlink and about 7 minutes long. He so rocks. The final one by Dr. Lawrie is 4 minutes.

For example, we’ve been pounded that the experimental gene therapy injections were safe and effective and if you didn’t take them you are putting the entire planet at risk. And one MN Senator is still chirping “Safe and Effective”

But this, this is the real reason I’m updating this column. I was happily listening to an Irish History podcast after I finished this article and had it up. Computer shut down for the night, supper finally awaiting me. This podcast was on the life of Dennis Doherty, a man who originally enlisted in the British army (he shoulda known better) to escape starvation in Ireland as many young lads did. He spent the next 45 years or so trying to escape prison. If you want to listen to the about 30 minute podcast I’m going to give the link. This podcast was done on May 12, 2013. Yes, it matters. Long before the rise of the cult Covidian. One of the prisons he wound up in was in Port Arthur in Tasmania. It’s what was known as a “model prison” with the goal of reforming the prisoners by breaking them down. Dennis had a penchant for trying to escape prison you see, what with a desire for freedom and all. But the treatment the prisoners received in the “model prison” was what dropped my jaw. This would have been somewhere between 1858-1863. No that’s not a typo, I mean well over a hundred years ago. The prisoners were kept in strict isolation. If they were allowed out of their cells they were to maintain 4.5 meters of space from everyone and they had to have their faces covered with a cloth mask at all times. Prisoners were only referred to by their prison number, not their name. The result? Many of the prisoners went insane. Isn’t that fascinating. This isn’t knew knowledge, they knew the results of these policies. This podcast is 10 years old. Not new knowledge. I hope ya’ll don’t mind this add in.

And what were some of the consequences of the seizure of citizen’s rights during the plandemic? Well, obvious one is freedom of speech. Doctors that tried to speak out and let people know there was cheap, readily available treatment that could have saved lives were muzzled and silenced.

If only Dr. Fauxci had watched Little House on the Prairie. I mean it was common enough knowledge to be in a TV show in what? The 80s?

See freedom of speech, even if it doesn’t concern health is a privilege for some, not for all.

Hating back

Sometimes I hear something that makes me cock my head, with a huh expression. Probably like how Shimshon looks when I ask him why my package is chewed open at the gate. I’ll explain.

I’m sure many heard growing up “We love the person, but hate the behavior”. Or “Hate isn’t the opposite of love, apathy is”. I had a discussion with a girlfriend about that a couple of days ago. My opinion has changed. I can see in some situations now where apathy has been a lazy response on my part to a situation where a different emotion would have been more correct and in line. So what brought all this up? A podcast. Lenny Goldberg has a radio show, Jewish Truth Bombs, that I try to catch, he has a lot to say that makes sense to me. This one was no exception. The relevant part is only about 19 minutes or so, the last couple are commercials.

In case you don’t want to listen, I’ll give you the parts I’m pulling from it, but it’s all good. The topic was Purim, and some elements are in it that are often glossed over. Something Comrade X alluded to in the comments on my last column. Lenny points out that in Kohelet (Ecclesiastes) Chapter 3

It says there is a time for hate. As much as a time for love, there is a time when hate is the appropriate response. He also points out that we are commanded to kill Amelek

The Torah lists two mitzvahs regarding Amalek:

To obliterate the nation of Amalek (timcheh et zecher Amalek).

To never forget the evil deeds Amalek did (zechor al tishkach)

Had they been wiped out, Haman wouldn’t have been around.

Several centuries later, after Shaul was crowned king, the prophet Shmuel ordered him to fulfill G‑d’s commandment thus:3 “Smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that is his. And have no pity on him; slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.”

Shaul gathered the Jewish people together and waged war against the Amalekites, slaying the entire nation and destroying their property. However, “he had pity on Agag, and the choicest of the sheep and cattle…,”4 and brought them back with him. Shmuel severely reproached Shaul for this: “Because you have rejected the word of G‑d, He has rejected you as king.”5 Though Shmuel then killed Agag, Agag was able to father a child in the interval between his capture by Shaul and his death. That child was the ancestor of Haman.

Lenny points out Judaism is about knowing when to have mercy, and when to flip the attribute of mercy. That at times, the correct answer is to hate, or be cruel. If you are merciful to the cruel, eventually you will be cruel to the merciful. He says accepting the yoke of heaven is knowing the time for each attribute, and being willing to carry out that task, and that no, sometimes it’s not easy. That if you can’t hate Haman, the way you love Mordachai, if you can’t hate at the proper time, then you are just a nice guy. You’re a nice person, but that has nothing to do with accepting the yoke of the mitzvot. Some facts you need to know about the murder of Israeli Jews, Palestinian Arab terrorism and Huwara, because they seem to have escaped the attention of your Western media and the Biden Administration who just met their Palestinian Arab counterparts in Aqaba, Jordan, and arranged to give them more guns while they castigate Israel for responding to increasingly deadly Palestinian Arab violence morally supported by the current Democrat Administration.

1. Palestinian Arab terrorists in the northern Samaria terror hub of Huwara murdered two brothers, Hillel and Yagel Yaniv. The Yaniv brothers were executed in a rain of bullets after the terrorists had rammed their vehicle into them before gunning them down as they sat trapped in their car.

2. The attack was predictable. In the month leading up to their murder, Palestinian Arabs carried out an average of two-three rock and Molotov cocktail attacks a day against Israeli cars in Huwara and on the Gilad route leading through the village.

3. Following the murder of the Jewish brothers, Huwara residents celebrated by handing out sweets. They also held an official firework celebration,

4. Among the main celebrants was the owner of a car and spare parts lot named Ayed Maharab. Maharab is a paroled terrorist who spent five years in Israeli prison. His Facebook page is filled with celebrations of terrorist attacks and of himself holding an AK-47. Maharab published a post following the Yaniv brothers’ murders celebrating the attack.

5. Following the murder of their friends and neighbors, and after seeing the Arab celebration of their murder, a number of young Israelis from surrounding villages entered Huwara and committed acts of vigilante violence. Among other things, they burned Maharab’s car lot. The scenes you saw of burning vehicles was Maharab’s spare parts lot. No building and no individual Arab was attacked or hurt by the aggrieved and angry friends of Hillel and Yagel. The claims of a death were lies.

The appropriate response came from Bezalel Smotrich:

The United Nations today (Thursday) condemned the statement of Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich that he would like to see the Arab village of Huwara, where two Jewish brothers were murdered on Sunday, “wiped out.”

Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, called Smotrich’s comments “irresponsible” and “unacceptable.”

This was far from the first attack in Huwara.

An inappropriate response came from a moonbat leftist named appropriately enough, Yaya Fink.

Esti Yaniv, whose sons Hillel and Yagel were murdered by a terrorist in the Arab village of Huwara on Sunday, has expressed her horror at the launch of a campaign of support for the residents of Huwara, the initiative of left-winger and Labor Party activist Yaya Fink.

And for those on the left that like to engage in moral relativism, just sit tight. We have millions of illegal aliens in our country now that came from cultures that have a very different notion of what is acceptable and what is not. I’ve noticed that leftist outrage towards Israel will frequently result in a similar situation in America that the tolerant leftist find upsetting. Those that think pastries being handed out in America following the murder of an innocent American citizen is outrageous are fooling themselves.

And I haven’t even touched on the hearings going on about Covid, gain of function, the lying about cheap already available cures for it that were disregarded because if they had been put into use Tony Fauxci and his cabal of “doctors” couldn’t get the emergency use license for the experimental gene altering clot shots. But not to be outdone, Hunter Xiden helped finance the bioweapons labs in Ukraine I think I’ve heard. Man, that would be so scary to have bioweapons labs right next door in Canada or Mexico. I mean seeing as how America handled Covid, what with putting Mom and Pop businesses out, forcing people into medical experiments they didn’t want and changing the definition of the word “vaccine”. Yeah, the way America handles that stuff would be enough to make any government a bit concerned, shall we say.

My point is this, the current federal government, and some state governments hate us, U.S. The federal law enforcement agencies under the misnamed DOJ, hate us. And I think if I’m intellectually honest with myself, I need to admit it. I’m not saying we can do much different at this point, unless you have a Congress Critter or Senator that is willing to listen, and then ask for the FIB, ATF to be de-funded and dis-banded. At this point to not do so is like voting to keep the brown shirts (and I don’t mean UPS) around. They offer nothing of value to the average law-abiding citizen.

I would maintain the appropriate response to these atrocities is hate. They do hate us, and they are willing to kill us. You could ask Roseanne Boyland or Ashli Babbitt…but.

Just as the idea of fighting back when attacked has been taught out of school children, the notion of appropriate hate is not really in our culture I don’t think. The things the left calls “hate” or “hateful” is usually free speech, or saying something they don’t like. Or giving evidence or showing video that destroys a leftist narrative. The left (demoncrat and RINO) is terrified by the thought of putting information out and allowing people to form their own thoughts and opinions. That is something they can’t abide.

There is a time, when hate is the appropriate response.

So Purim; the holiday where we celebrate the survival of the Jewish nation over the evil wishes of Fauxci and Pfizer the evil Hamen to wipe out the Jewish nation, or everyone depending on the villain you chose for the statement. It’s been said most Jewish holidays can be summed up with “They tried to kill us, we won, let’s eat”. Purim is one of those events in history that remind us of the difference between self-defense as a human right, and self-defense as a privilege. The King had agreed to the wicked Hamen’s request to allow him to kill all the Jews in Persia. He signed a royal decree and sealed it, the decree had been dispatched all over the country. When Hamen was exposed for what he was, and the King was appalled at what was fixin’ to happen he began granting Queen Esther/Hadassah’s requests one after the other. But the fly in the ointment was the decree to kill the Jews. That was a royal decree, signed and sealed and couldn’t be recalled. So what to do? Another royal decree saying the Jews would be allowed to used armed resistance to defend themselves.

Once again the King’s scribes were called, and the new decrees were prepared, this time dictated by Mordechai himself. The documents were immediately dispatched by royal couriers riding on swift steeds to all the governors and princes of the 127 provinces of the Persian Empire, from India to Ethiopia. By these royal decrees, permission was granted to the Jews to gather on the thirteenth day of Adar and defend themselves against their enemies, and to attack and slay all those who would assault them.

Purim is a very different holiday than Hanukkah, or Pesach. In both of those holidays G-d is very obviously present. Meaning frogs raining down is not normal, seas splitting are not normal, it’s obvious, he’s there. Hanukkah, the great victory of a tiny band of Jews committed to freedom and living as G-d had instructed against a mighty army is a big thing. But Purim? Where are the big supernatural miracles? There really aren’t any. Any decent husband (so I’m told) grants their wife’s requests from time to time. Not wanting to see her kinfolk slaughtered because of a command you gave seems a normal thing to me. I mean for one thing it’s going to make for extremely tense marital relations for a long time I would think. The Jews fighting for their lives and winning? That happens. So, in Hanukkah and Pesach G-d’s presence is very much revealed, in Purim, not so much. Nor is his name mentioned at all in the Megelliah (book/story of Esther).

So I’ve been looking at some of the information that is being revealed in just the last couple of weeks. Things that are becoming known that people (evil people) have tried to keep hidden as Hamen tried to keep his real motives hidden. The information may well help people see more accurately the situation of our country, and we as a people are in. At the close of Hannukah, and other things

After reading the comments on the last column, and different things I’ve listened to, or read the last couple of days, there is one more column left for Hannukah 2022. Again, I have no explanation, it’s just there and I’m sharing it. I promise, this is the last one (I’m pretty sure because this was the last day of Hannukah).

Before the actual battles of Hannukah, which attempted to eradicate the Jewish presence there was the spiritual battle to eradicate the Jewish presence. Not by killing the people, which came later, but by killing Judaism. I probably should have put a trigger warning on this column, so consider this it. Not the first time I’ve grabbed the 3^rd rail.

This is where I think we are now. In the part where “The World” tries to eliminate religion, and this time it’s the presence of G-d. I would maintain the world has always tried to eliminate the Jews because they were the ones that were tasked with bringing the knowledge of G-d into the world. As people we have free choice, free will. We can choose to pick the things of pleasure and short term gratification in the world, or we can choose to follow the laws of G-d and his plan for a beautiful world. It’s like looking at architecture plans to me, I don’t read them so I can’t see how they work to make a beautiful building until much of it is in built and in place. But the plans were laid it out all along. Yes, that deck off the 2^nd floor bed room sounds like a great idea and like lots of fun, especially when the hot tub was added in, but if the original plans didn’t account for it and the support for it wasn’t there in the plans, it won’t play out well. The same with how choosing what seems like a pleasurable choice at the time, may have consequences. Be it three pieces of fudge truffle cheesecake or a third beer or the junk Hollyweird puts out. But if only good is offered or available, how is that free will? Our fight with our more carnal desires allows us to sharpen our spiritual ones.

The battle today is “The World” against traditional families. A girlfriend and I were texting the other day and she made a comment of something her grandma used to say; as the family goes, so goes the country. I think it takes about 1 second to see that Hollyweird and mainstream media have had the traditional (according to G-d’s plan) family under attack for years. We’ve never had such gender confusion in our children, we’ve not seen women discriminated against openly for years until the trans-woman became far more important that stock from the factory woman. For evidence I only need point to the man swimming as a woman Lea Thomas because he’s such a loser he couldn’t succeed as man so he chose and easier way. When women have showed up to protest against things like men in women’s changing rooms they’ve been physically attacked by trans women. And apparently that’s fine because there is no outrage. But their fight isn’t with me, it’s with G-d.

I became suspicious of the sudden switch of the media from covid covid covid death death death vax vax vax to Ukraine Ukraine Ukraine very early on, because it was following the same pattern. As I’ve mentioned more than once, the citizens of the Donbas voted to rejoin Russia with darn good reason, more than once they’ve voted like that. And while “The World” and the U.S. media simper on about rigged elections I think the coverage of the faux elections in Arizona and the resulting lawsuits should pretty much stamped paid to any credibility to that claim. They could care less about the honesty of elections. The Donbas voted with paper ballots into clear cubes so people could see what was put in. I realize counting is a question, but monitors on the ground have said it was run better than U.S. elections. I know, that doesn’t take much these days. So is a first grade raffle. Run by the students. We’re coming back to this shortly.

The other thing that I think is going to come into play as well as the frigid weather, and decreased fuel availability and purposefully damaged supply chain (Pete Butt-edge-edge’s racist highways are being destroyed along with his other policies) that will lead to a shortage of needed medicine, fuel and food, is people’s immune systems.

Which brings me to my next point. Religion. As we discussed in my last column, there are woke in every brand of religion, and we discussed Judaism’s. But Christianity has their woke pastors as well. Someone sent me a meme of a “Woke Pastor” costume for halloween with white skinny jeans, I think a gold chain and maybe some CDs and a Starbucks cup with a picture of some kind of goddess on the front. I don’t think I saved the meme though. In the war for Independence, it was the Black Robe regiment that helped win the war. This is well worth listening to at about 10 minutes long.

Many of our nation’s laws came from G-d’s law, and woke spiritual leaders of every brand ignore and dismiss that. How are they fit to lead and teach? Our rights come from G-d, the politicians are to follow the Constitution which enumerates them and is to protect them, it doesn’t bestow them. G-d did. How are there to be good, healthy and moral families when the spiritual leaders as well as elected ones let us down and in fact attempt to deceive?

So back to Ukraine and Russia. My heart hurts for the Ukrainian people. They have been betrayed in the deepest sense of the word by so many.

Ukraine has been a money laundering operation for demoncrats and corrupt republican politicians for years. The CIA arranged regime change in Ukraine under Barry Sotero, and the U.S. has bio-weapons labs there that are funded by taxpayer dollars while they most assuredly do not want taxpayers to know what is going on in them. Zelensky is locking up political opponents, shutting down news media critical of him, shutting down and banning churches and their leaders and seizing their properties and demoncrats and worthless republicans jump for joy and call this democracy. Tells you about their mindset. All done with out tax money no less. The politicians of all nations and brands are more than willing to fight to the last drop of Ukrainian blood.

I find I often get news that is pertinent from other countries rather than American sources, so these next couple of sound clips come from Israel.

Money we don’t have to pay our National Guard soldiers, because we are giving it to Ukraine. This war time situation is so serious, that Zelensky did an episode of Letterman, in Ukraine. But I’ll let you listen to part of this episode of “Lighten Up”. I’m trying to start it at 18:50 seconds into the show. The relevant part only goes to about 23:30, so not that long. But worth listening to their take.

3. March 3 – Estonian bulk carrier Helt was blown up by a Ukrainian naval mine off the coast of Odessa. Four people are missing.

4. March 10 – Ukrainian UAV Tu-141 “Swift” attacked Zagreb. Luckily, no one died.

5. March 13 – Ukrainian Volkssturm shot down the car of an American journalist from the New York Times, Brent Reno, in the Irpen region, who, according to Iranian intelligence services, worked as a CIA officer in Iraq.

6. September 9 – a Romanian minesweeper was blown up by a Ukrainian naval mine near Constanta. Luckily, there were no fatalities.

7. November 9 – A Turkish boat was blown up by a Ukrainian naval mine off the coast of Turkey. Luckily, no one died.

8. November 15 – The Ukrainian S-300 air defense system attacked Poland, destroying 2 Polish citizens and a tractor trailer.

Under the guise of a war with Russia, Ukraine is waging a hybrid war against NATO!

Which bring us to my distrust of the attacks on Russia and Putin early on. For one, I’ve heard from more than one person that Putin has been decent (the comment good was used a couple of time) for the Jews. I have no personal knowledge, so that’s hearsay, but it’s hearsay from people that personally know. Human piece of excrement Lindsey Graham came flat out and said the war in Ukraine is about deposing Putin and regime change in Russia. No mention of what happens when someone else, and possibly less stable than Putin gains control of all those nukes.

You know, it’s fascinating. The Xiden regime is so worried about Israel electing what is suppose to be a right wing government. They’ve even tried to forbid certain Israeli politicians (whom I happen to like) from serving in the government. I guess they are afraid they might allow Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. Something which the courts have said is legal. The Xiden regime claims they are afraid Jews praying where the Holy Temple once stood, where G-d calls us to pray, will start a war. But the Xiden regime has no problem poking that big furry nuclear clad Russian bear directly by attacks on their pipeline or indirectly through their CIA puppet Zelensky.

But why? Why these attacks on Russia? Again, another Israeli podcast. This one covers some Hanukkah history you may (or not) have heard before, and of course it’s fascinating. But I especially think one of the comments made in the podcast have the answer to my question. It involves Christianity more than Judaism really, and Russia.

This actually makes sense in a way to me. There has to be another reason other than “Putin bad”. Look, there’s lots of bad rulers out there. I’m sure many of them are supported by U.S. and put in place by the FIB and the CIA. But apparently, Russia is Christian, at least more so than many other nations. Is this what’s behind “The World” turning against Russia? We are in the spiritual battle of Hanukkah where the general shows up in Modi’in and demands they sacrifice an unclean animal on their alter. Actually his advice isn’t far off or bad.

And the despicable NY Times with it’s stellar record of printing all the news that’s fit to print seems to have an odd idea of what is fit to print. One that I suspect honest, decent Americans might differ with.

For instance, here’s what they choose to ignore. Back before Ukraine was “cool”. I guess they didn’t know how handy money laundering for demoncrats was yet.

I’m still waiting for the ADL to explain why this isn’t anti-semitic and tell people we’re being ridiculous. And even if it is anti-semitic it’s Donald Trump’s fault.

But you know what? This is from a public Hannukiah lighting tonight. The Hannukiah has 9 branches, one for each of the 8 nights, plus the shamash, the servant candle used to light the others. The Menorah in The Temple had 7 branches.

Hannukah Times

We are living in Hannukah times. Today in school rather than learning actual American history, children are taught the 1619 nonsense, or anything bad about America, whether true or not that the woke teacher decides to shove down their gullets. Merrick Garland’s son-in-law makes his money selling critical race theory books to schools. I guess this would explain why parents who don’t want their children being taught they will never succeed in life because of their skin color are labeled terrorists. Math? Nope that’s too hard for blacks and Hispanics so standards are lowered so it will make rotten teachers look acceptable. Science? Trust the science? HAHAHAHAHAHA, no one is ever believing that old canard again or probably trusting much in the way of the medical industrial complex or the pharmaceutical industry again either. Nor should they. One commercial on TV is for a pill, five minutes later it’s for a lawyer advertising to represent you if you’ve been harmed by it. “Safe and Effective” is destined to be a punch line on late night TV if there are ever comedy shows on it again some day. I’m guessing patriotism in school these days is as dead as the trust level in the federal government after the #TwitterFiles stories have come out. Not to mention the CIA involvement in the JFK assassination. Our bodies and our children’s bodies no longer belong to us or the parents, according to the government of some countries. With the vaxx or be fired, vaxx or no organ transplant it’s been made clear we’ve been sold out to the medical industrial complex. And tragically in addition to the corrupt FDA and CDC pushing the death dart on innocent people including children it was clear that those agencies have been corrupted and captured beyond repair. Or belief. The only people that believe them are getting their 7^th booster and still wearing 3 masks. And now the blood supply. Twice recently parents very reasonably asked for their infants to be given safe unvaxxed blood during surgery. Both parents lined up safe, unvaxxed compatible blood donations for their infants. In New Zealand; New Zealand government tries to seize guardianship of baby after parents demand unvaccinated blood for surgery they did seize the baby and did the surgery. Despite the parents having 20 donors lined up, the hospital refused to use them. They haven’t told the parents if they used contaminated blood or clean but so far the baby is still alive. In America it didn’t turn out so well for the baby. HOSPITAL HOMICIDE: Newborn baby DIES from “huge blood clots” following pre-surgery transfusion of covid vaccine-tainted blood This one the parents also had clean blood that had been donated for the baby, following all the hospital rules. They hospital “couldn’t find it”, so they gave the baby contaminated blood. And then proceed to delete records. Some stories I’ve seen said they’ve upped the ante saying they didn’t treat him.

Baby Alex was born with a 95 percent survivable congenital heart defect as well as anemia, which required a blood transfusion. Since a close friend of the family had previously died after getting injected for the Fauci Flu, Alex’s parents specifically asked for clean blood to go into his body.

A member of the family’s church who is both unvaccinated and a blood type match donated the blood to Sacred Heart, which agreed to use it in the transfusion. However, when it came time to do the procedure, the hospital claims it “lost” the pure blood sample, after which staff members proceeded to give Baby Alex blood from the general pool.

The baby developed a blood clot which didn’t respond to anti-coagulant therapy. If you’ve seen some of those blood clots they fish out of people that’s kind of understandable. They aren’t really blood. Unvaccinated Blood Is Now in Very High Demand

It’s unknown whether blood donated by people who’ve received mRNA COVID-19 shots poses a risk to those who receive it. A growing number of people aren’t willing to take any chances, however, and are requesting blood that comes from unvaccinated patients.

In the leftist media and schools they’re doing their best to confuse children as to their gender, and in kindergarden and grade schools children are being sexually groomed. Guess that explains why a bunch of kids can’t read now. Which got time to learn about reading when there’s a drag queen in class to hand out brownies and teach the tiny tots about butt plugs?

If they can rip every shred of certainty out of the kids, they will be so much easier to manipulate because they have nothing to hold on to as true, as certain, as real. They will become as easy to manipulate as your average college student.

So how does this hot mess stack up against Hannukah times? Well, in 174 BCE (3586), Antiochus IV ruled the region. He wanted to be called Epiphanes, meaning “the gods’ beloved”. We called him Epimanes “madman”, He was harsh, cruel corrupt and did nothing for the land of Israel or the people there. Ok, lining up so far as leadership I’d say. Israel was ruled by the Syrian-Greek style which meant Judaism was pretty much outlawed. What weren’t we allowed to observe? Jewish worship was forbidden, and the scrolls of the Law were confiscated and burned. Sabbath rest, circumcision and the dietary laws were prohibited under penalty of death. Many brave Jews refused, preferring death. Meanwhile the Hellenized (assimilated) Jews were peachy fine with all this and were on board with getting rid of such outdated “customs”. Obviously they must not have considered the word of G-d to be taken seriously, right? So parents had no control over how their children were raised. No Jewish education, no circumcision, no word on tattoos or gender reassignment that I could find. This gave rise to the attempt to secretly teach some of Judaism and Torah using the Dreidel or Sevivon. What about control over our own bodies. Yeah, not always so much. Part of the start of the Maccabean war was sparked by Hannah, the sister of the brothers. Seems the custom of the time was when a woman (or young girl) married, she had to spend her wedding night with a Greek governor, because they couldn’t get women to sleep with them any other way I guess. Actually this last link talks about each of the five brothers. Only Judah was Maccabee.

The law at the time required every Jewish woman to spend her first night as a married woman with the Greek governor. This decree went on for a while, causing many women to either not marry or to endure this horrible violation. On Chanah’s wedding night, she spiritedly persuaded her brothers to stand up for justice and to rid themselves of the depraved governor.38

The Maccabees resolved to take on the Greeks, stormed the governor’s palace, killed him and wreaked havoc in his camp. This incident served as another spark that catapulted the already unsteady military situation into a full-on war

Yeah, I’d say we’re there. I could come up with plenty more ways but I want to touch on a couple of other things.

Judah. Maccabee, the meaning has a few possibilities. Either Hammer, for his ferocity in battle or his preferred weapon. Or as an acronym for Mi kamokha ba’elim Adonai, “Who among the gods is like you, O Adonai?” Which was the battle cry. The family was called Hasmonean. The link above gives each of the other sons surnames, even though they all became know as the Maccabees.

This kerfluffle started when the army of Antiochus IV came to Modi’in to try to force the group there to sacrifice to an idol. Mattias the priest would not betray G-d. He said “Not only NO, but HELLenized NO”! A Hellenized (assimilated ADL type Jew) stepped forward and said “Ah, it’s no big deal, I’ll do it”. Then Mattias said “The HELLenized you say!! Over your dead body!” And he killed him. I love a happy ending. The family realized the ATF and the IRS Seleucid army was fixin to descend on them and they took to the hills. Those lads knew how to fight a guerrilla war, until enough had joined them to fight battles head on.

Which brings me to another one of my what seems to have become Hannukah traditions. Posting Judah Maccabee’s speech.

10 Then Apollonius* gathered together the Gentiles, along with a large army from Samaria, to fight against Israel.

11 When Judas learned of it, he went out to meet him and struck and killed him. Many fell wounded, and the rest fled.

Hannukah refers to dedication, as in after the Hasmonean army captured The Temple, it was in shambles and profaned having had pigs sacrificed on the alter. They set about restoring and rededicating it. Which brings me to miracles, one of my favorite subjects.

There are several miracles actually. They found a small jar of oil, enough for one night. There is a tradition that is what Jacob went back across the river to fetch when he and his family left Laban’s fine company and hospitality. I find that miraculous. It was still in the Temple with the seal of the High Priest. That’s pretty miraculous too. Enough oil for 1 night lasted for 8 nights, the amount of time to make a new batch of kosher oil for the Menorah. That’s miraculous, 7 of them as there was enough for 1 night to start with. But there is still an 8^th miracle in there. Rather than saying “Well nuts, lighting for one night isn’t going to do anything. We should hang on to this, we don’t want to light for just one night and then have to wait 7 more”. The miracle was even though it seemed pointless, even though it seemed like there was no purpose in doing it, they went ahead and could not bear to delay putting off the Mitzvah of lighting the Menorah. They couldn’t wait to begin to shed light to drive away the darkness. And that’s how I think I should be. While I may not be able to right situations, or fix everything, I must do what I can to kindle my flame and drive out the darkness I can. Even though sometimes it seems like that is beyond me, with his help, it’s not. It’s why I’m here. It’s why we all are here in the place, at this time. Apologies Esther. We aren’t called upon the change THE WORLD, we are called upon to change ourselves and the world around us, in whatever ways G-d puts to us. Look at the impact one man, Elon Musk is having. Is he a certified good guy? As far as free speech he is. The flow of information is going to have an impact I believe.

And lastly I will share a deep secret with you I learned today from my Rabbi; why do we eat all those fried foods at Hannukah? Sufganyiot and Latkes? Well, in contrast to the ideal of outward beauty held by the Greeks and Syrians, Judaism emphasizes truth and moral purity, as commanded by G‑d in the holy Torah. The Jewish people could never give up their faith in G‑d and accept the idol-worship of the Syrians. The Greeks were all about the body, naked exercise at the gym, worshiping the physical and the spiritual was ignored.

The Jews rebelled and said “NO WAY, are we going to be like that! Pass me the sour cream for my latke please and I’ll have the lemon sufganiyah!”

I’ve added the Zebra from Zion to my Moshe the Mensch on a bench and Dreidel dog this year. Yes, I think I’m done. The Hannukiah in the back ground was Brad’s. I treasure it every day, and bless Jo Ann for giving it to me but I especially treasure it this time of year. It is the most amazing Hannukiah I’ve ever seen.

It’s about spreading the light, no matter how little oil it feels like we have.

A girlfriend sent me some very interesting material today, that I see as tying in together. This is a movie kind of column so I’ll wait while you get popcorn and a cup of coffee.

It seems a singer called Kanye West made some statements that are being called “antisemitic”. Well, that’s a bad thing in my world. She sent links to a couple of news stories so I checked them out.

“So this group is very well known to ADL and to law enforcement. It’s a group that peddles their hate in this community throughout Southern California and across this nation. They use various tactics like you see with the leaflets, the banner that was dropped on the 405. Just earlier this year, they drove a bus through Beverly Hills. These propagandists, their goal is to provoke a response, to terrorize the communities they’re in. This time, particularly with the banner drop on the 405, however, it’s different,” explained Jeffrey Abrams, Anti-Defamation League Regional Director. “These hate groups are now leveraging the anti-Semitic tropes that Kanye West has been peddling on social media, on interviews, broadcast interviews. And so these groups that peddle in this hate are now leveraging Kanye, not just Kanye’s imprimatur, but that as well, his millions of followers and his business partners, companies like The Gap and like Adidas.”

The second article comes complete with a picture of about 4 activists on a bridge doing the Heil Hooter thingy straight arm salute. Geez, how very FIB… although I’m perfectly willing to admit in CA there could be at least 4 idiots as in the recall election Newsome rather than Larry Elder won the spot of Governor.

But what really made me start thinking “Wait a minute….what’s up with this?” was when I noticed one of the tweets urging Adidas to dump West was made by the disgraced Alexander Vindman who was part of the botched impeachment. Another thing that makes me skeptical is the ADL is involved. The ADL is far more a progressive political machine than an actual “Anti-defamation league”. You may have noticed this especially during President Trump’s term.

The ADL’s mea culpa must be followed by action

Since the Anti-Defamation League’s founding in 1913, its declared mission has been “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people.” Thus, many were concerned when Jonathan Greenblatt took over as CEO of the esteemed organization in 2015: While his resume was long on efforts for social good, including a stint in former President Barack Obama’s Office of Social Innovation, it conspicuously lacked positions combating antisemitism or serving a Jewish cause. Most of all, they worried that Greenblatt would fail to check his well-established liberal political leanings at the door of the nonpartisan organization and, in turn, inadequately address the new wave of Jew-hatred growing on the Left.

It took little time for Greenblatt to prove his skeptics correct; it took much longer for the crisis to reach the point at which his silence was no longer tenable. Writing in Newsweek earlier this month, Greenblatt finally conceded what should have been among his first priorities, saying that it’s “time to admit” that the Left has an antisemitism problem. His real admission was that he had been reluctant, and thus inexcusably tardy, to recognize what was already obvious to everyone not compromised by ideological blinders.

The ADL’s Islamophobia hypocrisy

The blame for this poisonous atmosphere can be put on the unorthodox behavior of U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as the “resistance” to his administration. But it was particularly discouraging to see the ADL dive into an argument largely driven by the impulse of the liberal opposition to oppose anything Trump does or wants. The stand of a group that has its primary brief—monitoring and opposing anti-Semitism and supporting Israel—provided nonpartisan cover to the Democrats.

The excuse for the ADL’s position was their claim that Pompeo was an anti-Muslim bigot. As the leading Jewish civil-rights group, it would be on firm ground in opposing the elevation of any individual to high office on those grounds. The only problem was that the accusation was not merely false, but exposed the ADL to charges of hypocrisy.

Then there is this PayPal’s Unholy Alliance With ADL Opens the Door to a Massive Security Breach. It makes me nervous when a group with a clear bias toward the communist left is the one calling the balls and strikes on what is hate, and then when it affects my finances? What the heck! The other thing that makes me suspicious of this outrage is the timing. See Kanye or Ye as he wants to be called now just did an interview with….Tucker Carlson! Gasp! And worse, he said things like men should be responsible parents, they should raise their kids with values and aborting babies is a bad thing. Very right-wing racist stuff! If he doesn’t watch himself he like Larry Elder, will end up being the “black face of white supremacy”. Yeah, Larry Elder got called that. And worse, worse I say, is he openly supported President Trump! According to Beijing Biden that means he’s not even black! Here’s the whole terrifying interview.

Well, that didn’t take long, the original video disappeared, so here is another link from another site. This is one of those where someone reacts but they do show the whole interview I think. So.

Now, do I think he could have said some things a bit better? Oh HECK yes! There is no doubt. Do I think he’s thinking is a bit messed up? Oh HECK yes. It seems to me, that since large sectors of the entertainment industry is controlled by Jews, that means the whole thing is. And some of what he says is too close to the old “The Jews rule the world and control everything and they are out to screw you” canard. Ironic since I sent this message to my beloved Zehut group today in response to a message sent that Australia is moving/has moved their embassy from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv.

You know for a people that control the world, we’re doing something wrong. If we rule the world why are we apologizing and having to explain every time an Israeli citizen or soldier defends their life or the lives of others? Why is our acknowledgment of Jerusalem as our Capitol not just accepted? Why do we care what the world says when we take measures to deal with a group within our country that seeks it’s destruction?

We have just got to get a better grip on this ruling the world business!

But this kind of thinking just absolutely sets my teeth on edge. I get where he’s coming from, he’s looking at the concerts he’s losing, his new line of “White lives matter” t-shirts are going to need a new manufacture and he sees it all as coming from one group of people. Whether or not those people are actually practicing Judaism I have no clue. But it seems as though he is saying all these people are out to ruin me and they are all Jewish, so.

I don’t recall this kind of outrage from any of those people when Ilhan Omar said “It’s all about the Benjamins baby” when referring to Jewish interests. Or basically a bunch of what Rashida Tliar says, or what…. You get the idea. And worse, no one has replaced Omar in politics or Tliar. And presumably they have more influence on what happens that Kanye West.

But here’s another West interview on something called Drink Champs where he talks about the offending tweet, spelling matters Kanye, DEFCON, not Death Con, but I suspect he’s very aware of that now. I know it’s long, but it seems the relevant part is right at the front. Like I said, some of what he says I have real problems with, but I’m suspicious that some of the vitriol and attempts to cancel his platform may just well be related to some of the other messaging he’s sending out. Messaging that should be heard, and is righteous and that the left will most assuredly hate. It probably doesn’t help that he wants to buy Parler. Because free speech is something the left is trying to shut down at all costs.

And, as if to prove my point, that video is now available. So I’ve found you another link. They really are trying to shut this debate down.

It was on September 19, 1940 that Captain Witold Pilecki used faked identity documents to be arrested and sent to Auschwitz. Yes, I’m late with this. Bear did a wonderful story on him, that’s the link, and apparently a group called Sabaton must be reading Bear’s columns.

Becaaaauuse did you know there’s a song for him? There is. It’s the second video. This first is a bit more background, not so much anything Bear hasn’t told us, and them apparently, but they do have more pictures of him. Captain Pilecki, not Bear.

And the song written about Captain Pilecki. As Bear said, total badass. I know this song is listed in the comments under Bear’s column, but as it’s the anniversary of his entry into Auschwitz it seemed like the date should be remembered for him.
