Hannukah Times

We are living in Hannukah times. Today in school rather than learning actual American history, children are taught the 1619 nonsense, or anything bad about America, whether true or not that the woke teacher decides to shove down their gullets. Merrick Garland’s son-in-law makes his money selling critical race theory books to schools. I guess this would explain why parents who don’t want their children being taught they will never succeed in life because of their skin color are labeled terrorists. Math? Nope that’s too hard for blacks and Hispanics so standards are lowered so it will make rotten teachers look acceptable. Science? Trust the science? HAHAHAHAHAHA, no one is ever believing that old canard again or probably trusting much in the way of the medical industrial complex or the pharmaceutical industry again either. Nor should they. One commercial on TV is for a pill, five minutes later it’s for a lawyer advertising to represent you if you’ve been harmed by it. “Safe and Effective” is destined to be a punch line on late night TV if there are ever comedy shows on it again some day. I’m guessing patriotism in school these days is as dead as the trust level in the federal government after the #TwitterFiles stories have come out. Not to mention the CIA involvement in the JFK assassination. Our bodies and our children’s bodies no longer belong to us or the parents, according to the government of some countries. With the vaxx or be fired, vaxx or no organ transplant it’s been made clear we’ve been sold out to the medical industrial complex. And tragically in addition to the corrupt FDA and CDC pushing the death dart on innocent people including children it was clear that those agencies have been corrupted and captured beyond repair. Or belief. The only people that believe them are getting their 7th booster and still wearing 3 masks. And now the blood supply. Twice recently parents very reasonably asked for their infants to be given safe unvaxxed blood during surgery. Both parents lined up safe, unvaxxed compatible blood donations for their infants. In New Zealand; New Zealand government tries to seize guardianship of baby after parents demand unvaccinated blood for surgery they did seize the baby and did the surgery. Despite the parents having 20 donors lined up, the hospital refused to use them. They haven’t told the parents if they used contaminated blood or clean but so far the baby is still alive. In America it didn’t turn out so well for the baby. HOSPITAL HOMICIDE: Newborn baby DIES from “huge blood clots” following pre-surgery transfusion of covid vaccine-tainted blood This one the parents also had clean blood that had been donated for the baby, following all the hospital rules. They hospital “couldn’t find it”, so they gave the baby contaminated blood. And then proceed to delete records. Some stories I’ve seen said they’ve upped the ante saying they didn’t treat him.

Baby Alex was born with a 95 percent survivable congenital heart defect as well as anemia, which required a blood transfusion. Since a close friend of the family had previously died after getting injected for the Fauci Flu, Alex’s parents specifically asked for clean blood to go into his body.

A member of the family’s church who is both unvaccinated and a blood type match donated the blood to Sacred Heart, which agreed to use it in the transfusion. However, when it came time to do the procedure, the hospital claims it “lost” the pure blood sample, after which staff members proceeded to give Baby Alex blood from the general pool.

The baby developed a blood clot which didn’t respond to anti-coagulant therapy. If you’ve seen some of those blood clots they fish out of people that’s kind of understandable. They aren’t really blood. Unvaccinated Blood Is Now in Very High Demand

A growing number of people in need of blood transfusions are requesting blood that comes from people who haven’t received COVID-19 shots

Pathologist Dr. Ryan Cole compared the current unknowns regarding “vaccinated blood” with HIV-tainted blood that was used for transfusions in the 1980s

Directed donations and autologous donations, or self-donation, are options for receiving blood free of mRNA, but in both cases you’ll need your doctor to submit a Red Cross Special Collections Order form

A “Safe Blood” donation campaign has also been formed to match blood donors and recipients who have not had COVID-19 shots

It’s unknown whether blood donated by people who’ve received mRNA COVID-19 shots poses a risk to those who receive it. A growing number of people aren’t willing to take any chances, however, and are requesting blood that comes from unvaccinated patients.

In the leftist media and schools they’re doing their best to confuse children as to their gender, and in kindergarden and grade schools children are being sexually groomed. Guess that explains why a bunch of kids can’t read now. Which got time to learn about reading when there’s a drag queen in class to hand out brownies and teach the tiny tots about butt plugs?

If they can rip every shred of certainty out of the kids, they will be so much easier to manipulate because they have nothing to hold on to as true, as certain, as real. They will become as easy to manipulate as your average college student.

In the leftist world

So how does this hot mess stack up against Hannukah times? Well, in 174 BCE (3586), Antiochus IV ruled the region. He wanted to be called Epiphanes, meaning “the gods’ beloved”. We called him Epimanes “madman”, He was harsh, cruel corrupt and did nothing for the land of Israel or the people there. Ok, lining up so far as leadership I’d say. Israel was ruled by the Syrian-Greek style which meant Judaism was pretty much outlawed. What weren’t we allowed to observe? Jewish worship was forbidden, and the scrolls of the Law were confiscated and burned. Sabbath rest, circumcision and the dietary laws were prohibited under penalty of death. Many brave Jews refused, preferring death. Meanwhile the Hellenized (assimilated) Jews were peachy fine with all this and were on board with getting rid of such outdated “customs”. Obviously they must not have considered the word of G-d to be taken seriously, right? So parents had no control over how their children were raised. No Jewish education, no circumcision, no word on tattoos or gender reassignment that I could find. This gave rise to the attempt to secretly teach some of Judaism and Torah using the Dreidel or Sevivon. What about control over our own bodies. Yeah, not always so much. Part of the start of the Maccabean war was sparked by Hannah, the sister of the brothers. Seems the custom of the time was when a woman (or young girl) married, she had to spend her wedding night with a Greek governor, because they couldn’t get women to sleep with them any other way I guess. Actually this last link talks about each of the five brothers. Only Judah was Maccabee.

The law at the time required every Jewish woman to spend her first night as a married woman with the Greek governor. This decree went on for a while, causing many women to either not marry or to endure this horrible violation. On Chanah’s wedding night, she spiritedly persuaded her brothers to stand up for justice and to rid themselves of the depraved governor.38

The Maccabees resolved to take on the Greeks, stormed the governor’s palace, killed him and wreaked havoc in his camp. This incident served as another spark that catapulted the already unsteady military situation into a full-on war

Yep, bodies not our own and the Greek version of various and sundry politicians and denizens of Hollyweird.

No worship or Shabbat? Hello Covid lock-downs.

Yeah, I’d say we’re there. I could come up with plenty more ways but I want to touch on a couple of other things.

Judah. Maccabee, the meaning has a few possibilities. Either Hammer, for his ferocity in battle or his preferred weapon. Or as an acronym for Mi kamokha ba’elim Adonai, “Who among the gods is like you, O Adonai?” Which was the battle cry. The family was called Hasmonean. The link above gives each of the other sons surnames, even though they all became know as the Maccabees.

This kerfluffle started when the army of Antiochus IV came to Modi’in to try to force the group there to sacrifice to an idol. Mattias the priest would not betray G-d. He said “Not only NO, but HELLenized NO”! A Hellenized (assimilated ADL type Jew) stepped forward and said “Ah, it’s no big deal, I’ll do it”. Then Mattias said “The HELLenized you say!! Over your dead body!” And he killed him. I love a happy ending. The family realized the ATF and the IRS Seleucid army was fixin to descend on them and they took to the hills. Those lads knew how to fight a guerrilla war, until enough had joined them to fight battles head on.

Which brings me to another one of my what seems to have become Hannukah traditions. Posting Judah Maccabee’s speech.

1 Maccabees Chapter 3

10 Then Apollonius* gathered together the Gentiles, along with a large army from Samaria, to fight against Israel.

11 When Judas learned of it, he went out to meet him and struck and killed him. Many fell wounded, and the rest fled.

12 They took their spoils, and Judas took the sword of Apollonius and fought with it the rest of his life.

13 But Seron, commander of the Syrian army, heard that Judas had mustered an assembly of faithful men ready for war.

14 So he said, “I will make a name for myself and win honor in the kingdom. I will wage war against Judas and his followers, who have despised the king’s command.”

15 And again a large company of renegades advanced with him to help him take revenge on the Israelites.

16 When he reached the ascent of Beth-horon,* Judas went out to meet him with a few men.

17 But when they saw the army coming against them, they said to Judas: “How can we, few as we are, fight such a strong host as this? Besides, we are weak since we have not eaten today.”

18 But Judas said: “Many are easily hemmed in by a few; in the sight of Heaven there is no difference between deliverance by many or by few;

19 for victory in war does not depend upon the size of the army, but on strength that comes from Heaven.

20 With great presumption and lawlessness they come against us to destroy us and our wives and children and to despoil us;

21 but we are fighting for our lives and our laws.

22 He* will crush them before us; so do not fear them.”

23 When he finished speaking, he rushed suddenly upon Seron and his army, who were crushed before him.

24 He pursued Seron down the descent of Beth-horon into the plain. About eight hundred* of their men fell, and the rest fled to the land of the Philistines.

Hannukah refers to dedication, as in after the Hasmonean army captured The Temple, it was in shambles and profaned having had pigs sacrificed on the alter. They set about restoring and rededicating it. Which brings me to miracles, one of my favorite subjects.

There are several miracles actually. They found a small jar of oil, enough for one night. There is a tradition that is what Jacob went back across the river to fetch when he and his family left Laban’s fine company and hospitality. I find that miraculous. It was still in the Temple with the seal of the High Priest. That’s pretty miraculous too. Enough oil for 1 night lasted for 8 nights, the amount of time to make a new batch of kosher oil for the Menorah. That’s miraculous, 7 of them as there was enough for 1 night to start with. But there is still an 8th miracle in there. Rather than saying “Well nuts, lighting for one night isn’t going to do anything. We should hang on to this, we don’t want to light for just one night and then have to wait 7 more”. The miracle was even though it seemed pointless, even though it seemed like there was no purpose in doing it, they went ahead and could not bear to delay putting off the Mitzvah of lighting the Menorah. They couldn’t wait to begin to shed light to drive away the darkness. And that’s how I think I should be. While I may not be able to right situations, or fix everything, I must do what I can to kindle my flame and drive out the darkness I can. Even though sometimes it seems like that is beyond me, with his help, it’s not. It’s why I’m here. It’s why we all are here in the place, at this time. Apologies Esther. We aren’t called upon the change THE WORLD, we are called upon to change ourselves and the world around us, in whatever ways G-d puts to us. Look at the impact one man, Elon Musk is having. Is he a certified good guy? As far as free speech he is. The flow of information is going to have an impact I believe.

And lastly I will share a deep secret with you I learned today from my Rabbi; why do we eat all those fried foods at Hannukah? Sufganyiot and Latkes? Well, in contrast to the ideal of outward beauty held by the Greeks and Syrians, Judaism emphasizes truth and moral purity, as commanded by G‑d in the holy Torah. The Jewish people could never give up their faith in G‑d and accept the idol-worship of the Syrians. The Greeks were all about the body, naked exercise at the gym, worshiping the physical and the spiritual was ignored.

The Jews rebelled and said “NO WAY, are we going to be like that! Pass me the sour cream for my latke please and I’ll have the lemon sufganiyah!”

Dreidel Dog, Moshe the Mensch on a Bench and the Zebra from Zion. Brad’s Hannukiah in the background
Because I can never see this enough.

I’ve added the Zebra from Zion to my Moshe the Mensch on a bench and Dreidel dog this year. Yes, I think I’m done. The Hannukiah in the back ground was Brad’s. I treasure it every day, and bless Jo Ann for giving it to me but I especially treasure it this time of year. It is the most amazing Hannukiah I’ve ever seen.

It’s about spreading the light, no matter how little oil it feels like we have.

First night of Hannukah is tomorrow night.

חג חנוכה שמח

Happy Hannukah!

Ye Yay or Nay?

A girlfriend sent me some very interesting material today, that I see as tying in together. This is a movie kind of column so I’ll wait while you get popcorn and a cup of coffee.

It seems a singer called Kanye West made some statements that are being called “antisemitic”. Well, that’s a bad thing in my world. She sent links to a couple of news stories so I checked them out.

‘I can say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what?’ As Kanye West taunts Adidas, calls grow for German sportswear giant to cut ties

“I can say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what? Now what?” Kanye is seen asking in a short video clip from the Oct. 16 episode of Drink Champs, a hip-hop community podcast hosted by N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, which has since been taken down.

And ‘Kanye is right’ banner hung over 405 Freeway in LA adds to rising antisemitism fears

“So this group is very well known to ADL and to law enforcement. It’s a group that peddles their hate in this community throughout Southern California and across this nation. They use various tactics like you see with the leaflets, the banner that was dropped on the 405. Just earlier this year, they drove a bus through Beverly Hills. These propagandists, their goal is to provoke a response, to terrorize the communities they’re in. This time, particularly with the banner drop on the 405, however, it’s different,” explained Jeffrey Abrams, Anti-Defamation League Regional Director. “These hate groups are now leveraging the anti-Semitic tropes that Kanye West has been peddling on social media, on interviews, broadcast interviews. And so these groups that peddle in this hate are now leveraging Kanye, not just Kanye’s imprimatur, but that as well, his millions of followers and his business partners, companies like The Gap and like Adidas.”

The second article comes complete with a picture of about 4 activists on a bridge doing the Heil Hooter thingy straight arm salute. Geez, how very FIB… although I’m perfectly willing to admit in CA there could be at least 4 idiots as in the recall election Newsome rather than Larry Elder won the spot of Governor.

But what really made me start thinking “Wait a minute….what’s up with this?” was when I noticed one of the tweets urging Adidas to dump West was made by the disgraced Alexander Vindman who was part of the botched impeachment. Another thing that makes me skeptical is the ADL is involved. The ADL is far more a progressive political machine than an actual “Anti-defamation league”. You may have noticed this especially during President Trump’s term.

The ADL’s mea culpa must be followed by action

Since the Anti-Defamation League’s founding in 1913, its declared mission has been “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people.” Thus, many were concerned when Jonathan Greenblatt took over as CEO of the esteemed organization in 2015: While his resume was long on efforts for social good, including a stint in former President Barack Obama’s Office of Social Innovation, it conspicuously lacked positions combating antisemitism or serving a Jewish cause. Most of all, they worried that Greenblatt would fail to check his well-established liberal political leanings at the door of the nonpartisan organization and, in turn, inadequately address the new wave of Jew-hatred growing on the Left.

It took little time for Greenblatt to prove his skeptics correct; it took much longer for the crisis to reach the point at which his silence was no longer tenable. Writing in Newsweek earlier this month, Greenblatt finally conceded what should have been among his first priorities, saying that it’s “time to admit” that the Left has an antisemitism problem. His real admission was that he had been reluctant, and thus inexcusably tardy, to recognize what was already obvious to everyone not compromised by ideological blinders.

The ADL’s Islamophobia hypocrisy

The blame for this poisonous atmosphere can be put on the unorthodox behavior of U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as the “resistance” to his administration. But it was particularly discouraging to see the ADL dive into an argument largely driven by the impulse of the liberal opposition to oppose anything Trump does or wants. The stand of a group that has its primary brief—monitoring and opposing anti-Semitism and supporting Israel—provided nonpartisan cover to the Democrats.

The excuse for the ADL’s position was their claim that Pompeo was an anti-Muslim bigot. As the leading Jewish civil-rights group, it would be on firm ground in opposing the elevation of any individual to high office on those grounds. The only problem was that the accusation was not merely false, but exposed the ADL to charges of hypocrisy.

Then there is this PayPal’s Unholy Alliance With ADL Opens the Door to a Massive Security Breach. It makes me nervous when a group with a clear bias toward the communist left is the one calling the balls and strikes on what is hate, and then when it affects my finances? What the heck! Thanks for the article Y.B. Ben Avraham 😉

The other thing that makes me suspicious of this outrage is the timing. See Kanye or Ye as he wants to be called now just did an interview with….Tucker Carlson! Gasp! And worse, he said things like men should be responsible parents, they should raise their kids with values and aborting babies is a bad thing. Very right-wing racist stuff! If he doesn’t watch himself he like Larry Elder, will end up being the “black face of white supremacy”. Yeah, Larry Elder got called that. And worse, worse I say, is he openly supported President Trump! According to Beijing Biden that means he’s not even black! Here’s the whole terrifying interview.

Well, that didn’t take long, the original video disappeared, so here is another link from another site. This is one of those where someone reacts but they do show the whole interview I think. So.

Now, do I think he could have said some things a bit better? Oh HECK yes! There is no doubt. Do I think he’s thinking is a bit messed up? Oh HECK yes. It seems to me, that since large sectors of the entertainment industry is controlled by Jews, that means the whole thing is. And some of what he says is too close to the old “The Jews rule the world and control everything and they are out to screw you” canard. Ironic since I sent this message to my beloved Zehut group today in response to a message sent that Australia is moving/has moved their embassy from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv.

You know for a people that control the world, we’re doing something wrong. If we rule the world why are we apologizing and having to explain every time an Israeli citizen or soldier defends their life or the lives of others? Why is our acknowledgment of Jerusalem as our Capitol not just accepted? Why do we care what the world says when we take measures to deal with a group within our country that seeks it’s destruction?

We have just got to get a better grip on this ruling the world business!

/sarcasm.

But this kind of thinking just absolutely sets my teeth on edge. I get where he’s coming from, he’s looking at the concerts he’s losing, his new line of “White lives matter” t-shirts are going to need a new manufacture and he sees it all as coming from one group of people. Whether or not those people are actually practicing Judaism I have no clue. But it seems as though he is saying all these people are out to ruin me and they are all Jewish, so.

I don’t recall this kind of outrage from any of those people when Ilhan Omar said “It’s all about the Benjamins baby” when referring to Jewish interests. Or basically a bunch of what Rashida Tliar says, or what…. You get the idea. And worse, no one has replaced Omar in politics or Tliar. And presumably they have more influence on what happens that Kanye West.

But here’s another West interview on something called Drink Champs where he talks about the offending tweet, spelling matters Kanye, DEFCON, not Death Con, but I suspect he’s very aware of that now. I know it’s long, but it seems the relevant part is right at the front. Like I said, some of what he says I have real problems with, but I’m suspicious that some of the vitriol and attempts to cancel his platform may just well be related to some of the other messaging he’s sending out. Messaging that should be heard, and is righteous and that the left will most assuredly hate. It probably doesn’t help that he wants to buy Parler. Because free speech is something the left is trying to shut down at all costs.

And, as if to prove my point, that video is now available. So I’ve found you another link. They really are trying to shut this debate down.

So, Ye, Yay or nay, I’ll let you decide.

Defending the Constitution by Endorsing its Enemies?

How can one defend Constitutional integrity by endorsing the view of its enemies? How can one defend its meaning if ignorant of that meaning? The former is akin to an attorney telling the jury every word uttered by prosecutors with respect to his client’s guilt is true, but, find him not guilty anyway. The latter would be like a football team taking the field having spent zero time studying and learning their plays. Both are doomed to failure.

Chris Stigall is a conservative radio talk show host out in Kansas City, Missouri. The Pacific Legal Foundation, headquartered in Sacramento, California, is a conservative nonprofit defending American’s individual and property rights in Court against abuse by the federal government. I was able to pick up the Stigall Show on Monday 3 October 2022. He was interviewing an attorney for Pacific Legal about a pending case. During the discussion, she said, and Stigall agreed, under the Commerce Clause, the federal government has the authority to regulate anything that crosses state lines. Both are profoundly wrong. Prior to penning this refutation, I attempted to contact Stigall through several channels including his station manager, without success. That conservatives are ignorant of the Constitution to the point of endorsing interpretations counter to its meaning, is testament to public education’s success in teaching an imposter. The talk show host and attorney’s error possibly stem from a misapprehension with respect to America’s form of government, nature of delegated powers, state’s reserved powers, and meaning of the Commerce Clause.

America has a federal not national form of government. Although these terms are used interchangeably by teachers, they are, in fact, not at all the same. Under a national system, all power is consolidated in a central government and states comprise its regional subdivisions and have little or no autonomy. The central government makes all laws and applies them to states irrespective of local interests.1 America has a federal system in which States created the general government and delegated to it finite powers. Its authority is limited to international relations, foreign trade, war, copyrights, and standardization of currency, weights and measures, and a postal system. States are not political subdivisions of the general government but retain independent authority within their boundaries.2 They also have the right to take back powers they delegated to the federal government.3 States reserved all powers to themselves over domestic affairs. Federal and state power operate in separate autonomous spheres. Like trains, they run on parallel but separate tracks that do not intersect.4 States enumerated the federal government’s 18 powers in Article 1, Section 8. Any power not delegated is a power denied to the federal government. State’s exclusive authority over non-delegated powers is codified in the Tenth Amendment.5

The federal government may exercise only its enumerated powers and may not create implied from explicit ones. It may acquire new or expanded powers only through the amendment process. Only states may amend the Constitution. It cannot be amended by any branch of the federal government through interpretation. It may not make national laws as those operate on and within states which would violate the 10th Amendment. How does this relate to the Commerce Clause?

The Clause reads;

“The Congress shall have Power: To regulate commerce with foreign Nations,

and among the several States, with the Indian Tribes” [capitalization in the

original].6

Through the Declaration of Independence (1776), Articles of Confederation (1781), and Treaty of Paris (1783), Britain’s 13 former North American colonies declared they were independent sovereign states (nations) and recognized as such by Great Britain and the world. Each possessed an autonomous government and constitution. To raise revenue and protect native industry and agriculture, states erected tariffs and tolls on goods crossing their borders, by land, sea, and river, from other states. They also disputed the boundaries of western lands won through the war.7 In addition, they made separate trade treaties with foreign powers without regard to whether or not it harmed the interests of other states.

For example, under its colonial charter, Maryland controlled the Potomac River right to Virginia’s shoreline. Both used this river to ship upstate and western goods to the coast. To gain access to the river, Virginia successfully negotiated a trade treaty with Maryland. James Madison and others believed similar arrangements might be expanded to include the other eleven states. This might unify them and lead to settlement of western land claims. They called for a Convention to meet in Annapolis, 1785. Some states sent delegates, some arrived too late, and others boycotted. Congress called for a second convention to meet in Philadelphia.8 They met from May through September, 1787, debating and working out a constitution to replace the Articles of Confederation. They faced many challenges. Chief among them were trade disputes.

If states created a trade system benefitting all and disadvantaging none, it would diffuse interstate conflicts and bolster their economic strength vis a vis Britain and Europe. A clause eliminating interstate barriers to trade and commerce was the solution. In time, this policy would transform the United States into the “largest area of free trade in the world”. The Commerce Clause would put an end to “mercantilistic systems” of trade.9

John Taylor, perhaps the most towering intellect of the Founding period, noted the power to regulate commerce states delegated to the federal government served two purposes, “to prevent foreign nations from obtaining unjust advantages over the United States” and “to prevent one state from making another tributary to itself”.10 However, and this is crucial, the Commerce Clause delegates to Congress power to regulate trade between the U.S. and three forms of “sovereign entities; the States, foreign nations, and the Indian Tribes”.11 This refers to trade arrangements. It does not grant Congress power over commercial activities in or between states.12 The Commerce Clause’s purpose is to create one voice with respect to foreign trade and to facilitate free trade between states. How is the latter accomplished? By eliminating interstate tariffs and tolls not to erect rules governing commercial activity within and or crossing state lines.

In Federalist 42, James Madison explained the Commerce Clause only delegated to the federal government authority over international trade but not over the commercial activities within states or crossing their borders.13 Under this clause, the federal government makes trade treaties with foreign nations. To argue it empowers a federal government to make national laws governing commercial activities within states is nonsensical. States created the federal government. Did they assign it the function of making trade treaties between it and individual states? Of course not, because states are not foreign nations and commercial activities fall under state’s reserved powers. For example, the federal government may make trade treaties with Indian tribes but it has no authority to make rules governing the manufacture and sale of goods by Indians or sold to non-Indians. It is crucial to keep in mind that commercial activities and trade are not the same.14

The federal government has no authority to make rules governing the manufacture and sale of goods, working conditions, wages, or rules for transportation by air, boat, train or truck, private or public, inter or intrastate. These are functions of state governments.15

Madison noted delegates to the federal convention used the term commerce 34 times during debate and discussion typically in reference to trade with foreign nations. They used the terms commerce and trade interchangeably. This was true for the 63 times authors of the Federalist Papers [Hamilton, Madison, and Jay] used the terms. No delegate to the federal and subsequent state ratifying conventions, used these terms to mean other than trade.16

In Federalist 45, Madison wrote;

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government

are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are

numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external

objects as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the

power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to

the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of

affairs concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal

order, improvement and prosperity of the State”.17

What about the word “regulate”? Does it not mean the federal government has authority to control commercial activity? Does not control necessarily imply authority to make rules governing such activities in states, especially if it crosses state lines?

Fortunately, we have a treasure trove of documents from the framers. They demonstrate the common usage of the word “regulate” with respect to the Commerce Clause did not mean authority to make rules governing commercial activity. On the contrary, it means “to keep moving” to make regular. The Clause’s purpose is to keep trade moving by, as noted, eliminating interstate tariffs and tolls. The federal government’s power is reactive. It may remove barriers to interstate trade but may make no rules governing commercial activity.

Article 1, section 9, clause 6 states;

“No preference shall be given by any Regulation of Commerce or Revenue, to the

ports of one State over those of another; nor shall Vessels to or from one State, be

obliged to enter, clear, or pay Duties in another [capitalization in the original].18

The Article is clear, Congress’s commerce power is to eliminate specific trade policies, employed by states, favoring their domestic industries and commercial activities at the expense of sister states.

Comparing the Constitution’s sections on commerce, with the dictionary extant at the time [1785 edition of Samuel Johnson’s Dictionary of the English Language], it is clear commerce is defined as trade not the manufacture and sale of goods or any other gainful activity. This includes all phases of agricultural production and trade between individuals.19 Hence, the federal government has zero authority to make national laws governing the economic activities of private individuals, companies, or states within or crossing state borders.

Vice President John C. Calhoun, regrettably binned by modernity over his views on slavery, was correct in observing regulation of commerce applies to relations between the United States and foreign nations. Congress cannot “regulate” commercial activities within or between states because such power belongs only to a national form of government and the United States is constituted a federal republic. Calhoun noted the only time the clause would empower the federal government in relations with states would be if one chose to erect tariffs on goods from other states.20

University Professor of Law and Government, Randy E. Barnett, notes in every case when the Constitution’s framers used the word “commerce”, the “narrowest” construction is employed. The phrase “among the states” referred to trade between states and “regulate” meant “to make regular”. Again, Congress has no authority to make rules governing economic activity in any state whether it crosses state lines or not.21

Professor St. George Tucker, an officer in the Virginia Militia during the War of Independence, and later law professor, wrote the Constitution never authorized the federal government to regulate or interfere with domestic commerce in any way. The Commerce Clause was designed to protect domestic commercial activity from federal interference. States never delegated Congress authority to make rules for any form of economic activity among people, businesses, and states.22 Yet, today, Congress and the Court interpret “to regulate” opposite of its meaning. Justice Clarence Thomas observes the “original meaning” (indicating the current one is in error) of commerce “was limited to the ‘trade and exchange’ of goods and transportation for this purpose”. Courts today have turned this meaning on its head by applying it to “any gainful activity”.23

A common understanding of the Commerce Clause remained consistent throughout the founding era. There is “not a single example from the reports of these proceedings [drafting and ratifying the Constitution] that unambiguously used the broad meaning of commerce, and many instances where the context makes clear that the speaker intended a narrow meaning”.24

Professor Brion McClanahan writes, since Chief Justice John Marshall, who was a strong proponent of a national as opposed to federal system, used Gibbons v. Ogden (1824) to create for Congress a “right to regulate interstate commerce”.25 Marshall had access to founding documents and even spoke in favor of ratification at the Virginia Convention. He knew the meaning and intent of the Commerce Clause. He knew Congress has no authority to regulate private or public economic activities inter or intrastate. But he, like Alexander Hamilton, supported abolishing state governments by consolidating all power in a national government. He ruled, Congress could intervene and make rules for commerce “within a single state” if it affected trade with or in another state.26 In so doing, he overturned the Constitution. From Marbury v. Madison (1803) McCulloch v. Maryland (1819), Gibbons v. Ogden (1824) and subsequent cases, Marshall created from thin air, a new power for Congress rejected to it by the States and Constitution.

Marshall believed the framers meaning and intent for the Commerce Clause was “too narrow”. Congress should have the power to intervene in the economic affairs of state and people. He wrote, “The manner in which the Congress decides to regulate commerce is completely at the discretion of Congress”.27 Of course, he did. Such power would go a long way toward transforming a federal into a national system and destroy state’s reserved powers. Subsequent Courts built precedent on Marshall’s invalid rulings.

For many years they were successfully opposed by Presidents and Governors but, with the passage of time, and for various reasons, Americans began to accept this rewriting of the Constitution and extralegal abolition of the 10th Amendment. Federal Courts ruled Congress could now make laws governing all economic activities within and across state lines if such activities had a “substantial effect (determined by Congress and the Court), on other states. This is an open-ended grant of power because any “activity when taken in the aggregate, could be said to have a ‘substantial effect” on interstate trade. Marshall and subsequent courts eviscerated limits on Congress’s power.28

States created a federal not national government. Through the Constitution, they delegated to it limited and defined powers. They include foreign relations, international trade, war, and standardization of currency, weights and measurements, copyrights, and a postal system. States did not surrender but reserved all other powers to themselves. No federal branch of government, legislative, executive, or judicial, was given the power of judicial review. None has the sole or final authority to interpret the Constitution’s meaning. That right belongs to the people. Consolidationists at the federal convention proposed granting this power to the federal court but delegates voted it down knowing full well States would never ratify the proposed constitution if it contained such a provision. Therefore, the Court has zero authority to rule on the constitutionality of any law, federal or state. The Commerce Clause was written to prohibit states from restricting the free flow of interstate goods through internal tariffs and tolls. Period. Congress has no authority to regulate the economic activities of people, businesses, private or public, within states or because they cross an imaginary line.

How can anyone defend what they know little or nothing about? This amounts to an inexcusable forfeiture on the battlefield. As one who taught government for more than two decades in the public high school system, I am well aware what they teach is an imposter in place of the real Constitution. This is no excuse for conservatives and those claiming to be originalists, to promote the same imposter. After all, I too was taught the false constitution. I took the time to find the real one and others should as well. You may be surprised to discover how far removed, the one taught in public schools, is from the Constitution ratified by the Thirteen States. Hint, no amendments were ever passed to change the intended, and now opposite, meaning of t

It was on September 19, 1940 that Captain Witold Pilecki used faked identity documents to be arrested and sent to Auschwitz. Yes, I’m late with this. Bear did a wonderful story on him, that’s the link, and apparently a group called Sabaton must be reading Bear’s columns.

Becaaaauuse did you know there’s a song for him? There is. It’s the second video. This first is a bit more background, not so much anything Bear hasn’t told us, and them apparently, but they do have more pictures of him. Captain Pilecki, not Bear.

And the song written about Captain Pilecki. As Bear said, total badass. I know this song is listed in the comments under Bear’s column, but as it’s the anniversary of his entry into Auschwitz it seemed like the date should be remembered for him.

Let’s Test That Theory

“Doctor” Jill, self-appointed caregiver/chaperone for the senile Groper-In-Chief, apparently believes all books are suitable for schoolchildren.

Jill Biden Thinks It’s Un-American To Oppose Porn in School Libraries
And First Lady Jill Biden doesn’t like it one bit. In an interview with NBC News correspondent Sheinelle Jones, she argued that parents shouldn’t be able to exclude any books from school libraries.
[…]
“All books should be in the library,” Jill said, cutting off Jones before she could finish her question. “All books. This is America. We don’t ban books.”

Personally, I disagree. And I don’t think excluding certain topics from libraries specifically intended for developing minors is censorship. Censorship is preventing anyone from viewing “unapproved” materials or ideas. Failing to actively provide those materials/ideas to minors against their parents’ wills is not censorship. I no more think that heterosexual porn should be provided to minors in school libraries by activist faculty, than should homosexual porn. It’s — or should be — up to the parents.

But if nothing is to be off limits, let’s see what the groomers think of these books.

And here’s one that sane people should like to see in children’s libraries (possibly in a section for older children). But I suspect lefty teachers and librarians would stroke out at the possibility…

…which might be another good reason to include it.

To Ride, Shoot Straight, And Speak The Truth, by Jeff Cooper.

I’m sure readers can come up with a few more. Feel free to post titles and links in comments. Better yet, box some up and send them to your local child-grooming indoctrination center and demand they be placed on the shelves, alongside the thinly-veiled gay sex instruction manuals.

Ghost Gun In The News

I’m sure this will result in calls for commonsense plumbing control.

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been assassinated. And the assassin used an evil “ghost gun.”

The assassin of Shinzo Abe has been identified as 41-year-old Yamagami Tetsuya, who used a homemade black powder shotgun.

No Ghost Gunner CNC mill.

No 3D-printer.

No unfinished receiver.

No “parts kit.”

No ammunition to register and regulate.

From that picture and description, it looks like some pipes, a board, and a lot of electrical tape. They specify “black powder,” so I imagine the assassin made that, too. No word on the projectiles, but I don’t think he’d have had much trouble finding ball bearings or other round shot.

Japan has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the world, and it still could not stop a killer with 1950s homebrew technology.

So what will the victim-disarmers try now? NFA tax stamps for plumbing and electrical supplies?

A ban on charcoal?

Well, they’d probably like that last one. Of course, to enforce it, it you’d need to ban trees and combustion.

To regulate the nitrates, they’d have to ban urination. Tricky, that.

Sulfur is a bit tougher unless you live near a sulfur spring; but there’s always drywall for the chemically-inclined.

The rights-haters would need to ban technology that’s been around for more than a thousand years. That should work well.

Then they’s have to figure out what to do about bows.

Will, meet way.

Happy Independence Day 2022

Yep, no doubt about it, this year I keep thinking about the words of Benjamin Franklin “A Republic if you can keep it” in response to being asked what kind of government had been established for the new formed United States.

So, since I have veggie hot dogs to grill I’ve just got a few thoughts for today. Some snarky, some serious, some funny. Sort of like a family potluck.

First, encouraging words from President Puddin’ Head

Typical Biden

Let’s try that again

The founding of our nation wasn’t a joke though, men and women of valor fought very hard to give us the freedom that people are squandering and taking for granted.

The Signers of the Declaration of Independence

And because of their vision, hard work and sacrifice we, have a chance to strive to be uncommon.

The American’s Creed

But the signers knew what they were doing, they knew the formula that would be needed in the future to preserve the freedom that tyrants always seek to snatch away.

Mere peasants?
Independence Day-brought to you by firearms

And I will leave you with this video of the history of the Star Spangled Banner. I didn’t get a Puffs warning, but I’m saying it might be good to have one close by.

Happy Birthday beloved America

Turn Away From Bad, Do Good and Live

I’m sure almost everyone has heard by now that Dr. Zev Zelenko has left us. Z-stack life. In my eyes Dr. Zelenko was a mentsch. And I’m pretty sure he was in the eyes of the millions who owe their live or that of a loved one to him. Dr Zelenko in case you didn’t know, was the pioneer who concocted the HCQ, Zinc and Azythromycin protocol along with vitamins to combat covid. Those that used it said the results would be felt sometimes within hours, but the key was early treatment as covid starts as one disease and turns into another. What hospitals would do would be to deny patients the lifesaving medications they needed until they were almost at deaths door, then maybe allow them and if they didn’t work at that late stage say, “Oh they don’t work”. I hope there is a special, long place in hell for those that have done that.

He was also a special hero to me because I learned so much spiritually from him. He always kept G-d front and center of his conversations and gave him credit. He also taught much about life, and the folly of trusting government to save you as opposed to trusting G-d. I’m not going to write much in the way of an obituary, there are far better writers than I that have done so. Dr. Robert Malone one of a group of doctors that spoke out about the true nature of Covid and the true risk of the shots.

Eulogy for a selfless Truth Warrior

He has established the Zelenko Foundation, the Z-Freedom Foundation

The Zelenko Freedom Foundation is organized exclusively to provide funding to social entities and social activities surrounding education, leadership development, health literacy, advocacy, public policy, social, health and community development. These activities will include, but are not limited to, events, workshops, grants, research funding and limited scholarships.

I guess what to share are just some thoughts, and a few videos I think share the attitude and brilliance of Dr. Zelenko. He had many facets to his character.

This one dealt with his absolute ban from Twatter for trying to save lives. It was ridiculous as after his non-profit foundation was established and a Twatter account was opened for it, it was permanently banned within hours. But while humorous, it was also a potential window into the future.

I’ve started a Constitution class through the Patriot Academy and it is so fascinating but a couple of things in last weeks class made me think of Dr. Zelenko.

Of all the habits and dispositions which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. ~~ George Washington

Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature. If the next centennial does not find us a great nation….it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces. ~~James Garfield

It is a great mistake to suppose that the paper we are to propose will govern the United States. It’s the men whom it will bring into the government, and the interests they have in maintaining it, that is to govern them. The paper will only mark out the mode and the form; men are the substance and must do the business. ~~John Francis Mercer

The mess created by Biden voters

Our rights do not come from man, or the Constitution, they come from G-d. The power Congress has comes from us, the governed from our power to consent or refuse. One of the things Dr. Zelenko often reminded us when it came to the injection was “Do not comply”. What kind of monumental overreach is it when the un-elected bureaucrats can demand we put an experimental substance into our bodies to be able to work, shop or travel. And the more we comply, the worse it will become. Because that’s how tyranny rolls.

Dr. Zelenko saw everything quite clearly.

This final clip was made from Dr. Zelenko’s hospital bed, and I think it sums up all the things that touched me so deeply. A man of great faith, a caring compassion doctor who was supernaturally given the gift of the cure. I think it was given to Dr. Zelenko not only because he had the nature to search for it, but he prayed and begged G-d for an answer to help his patients. Dr Zelenko was a man blessed with the courage of his convictions to stay the course. He was relentlessly attacked by the corporate pharmaceutical funded media, the swampy deep state and the entire demoncrat party and RINO sellouts. Not to mention those that lacked his courage and honesty within the medical profession.

In a fairly recent interview on Jerm Warfare he said he was afraid of G-d and no one else. He said this is a race between the forces that want to enslave humanity and those that are wanting to expand G-d consciousness. Turn away from bad, do good, and live. Do not live in fear and isolate yourself from those you love. Take positive proactive measures and live. He sees a glorious redemptive event coming where the false narrative will be destroyed and the knowledge of G-d will fill the earth. He said the key here, is courage.

Now there is a large battle standard and heavy sword laying on the battlefield. It will take more than one person to pick them up and advance. May I do my part.

The Great RINO Hunter? Or Double Barrel Deception?

It seems a Missouri candidate to replace outgoing Demoncrat in RINO drag Roy Blunt has come with up a campaign ad guaranteed to blow up the internet and leftist minds with a furor. To be fair there are conservatives that have reservations about it as well. But first I’ll let you watch it.  Just watch, then we’ll discuss. Ok?

Now, I don’t really have that big a problem with the ad. I don’t. It’s cheesy and over the top, but Greitens has some stiff competition for the Senate seat so he’s trying to set himself to the front of everyone’s mind. It did blow some (most likely) RINO minds. Caleb Rowden, the Missouri Senate majority leader said on Twatter he contacted the Missouri Highway Patrol and hoped Greitens got help. I think that seems a bit, well, stupid on Rowden’s part. Can anyone say “Red Flag”? I knew you could. I did hear a caller named Carl who called in and said in light of recent events he thought it was kind of tone deaf, and going to scare people that don’t understand guns or the Second Amendment. Well, I can’t argue that. He also has some baggage to overcome, that’s not my problem with him either. I’ve written columns defending him in the past, SO WHATEVER HAPPENED TO because the prosecutor that went after him, Kim Gardner is a Soros plant. So it’s not that.

It’s this. Greitens Has Second Thoughts On Second Amendment Preservation Act

Former Missouri governor and current U.S. Senate candidate Eric Greitens has pivoted 180 degrees on the issue of the state’s Second Amendment Preservation Act; a new law that took effect earlier this year that forbids state and local police from working with their federal counterparts in enforcing federal gun control laws that aren’t mirrored in state statute.

….

Greitens, who’s running against a crowded field in the Republican primary for the seat currently held by retiring GOP Senator Roy Blunt, slammed SAPA and its supporters.

But he’s in famous company. “Democratic officials from U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland down to St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones” don’t like it either.

But wait five minutes, a few days later he “100% supports it”.

The article listed raises a good point.

I suspect that Greitens’ original comments were meant as a slight against Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, who’s both supported SAPA and is also running to replace Roy Blunt in the Senate. I can understand wanting to differentiate yourself from the competition, but referring to SAPA supporters as either willing accomplices or innocent dupes of the defund the police movement, Greitens ended up metaphorically shooting himself in the foot.

Now this article is from Dec 6, 21 so it’s not exactly fresh. I’ve raised the concerns of Greitens comments to others in the Second Amendment community. The Missouri Second Amendment Protection Act is a darn fine piece of legislation. One of the things it is meant to protect Missouri citizens from is this, and this is from 2005. I’m not predicting the future here, this is something that has already happened.

ATF, Virginia Police Accused of ‘Persecuting’ Gun Shows You’ll have to read the article to find out about the heavy ATF and local law enforcement presence combined at the show. I want to draw your attention to ONE of the things that took place. You should really read the whole thing to see everything that took place.

“They did something else, which is highly illegal,” Gelles charged. “They did something called a residency check.”

Gelles explained that, when gun dealers took the paperwork to the Virginia State Police on-site office to complete the background checks on prospective buyers, ATF agents copied the names, home addresses and telephone numbers of the applicants.

Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, told Cybercast News Service that he has received numerous complaints alleging that as handgun buyers were waiting for their National Instant Check System (NICS) background investigations to be completed, ATF was secretly conducting the so-called “residency checks.”

According to the complaints he received, Van Cleave said officers were dispatched to the homes of the prospective gun buyers to speak with family members, asking for example: “Gee, did you know your husband was going to a gun show today? Do you have his cell phone number? Did you know he was buying a gun?

“If people weren’t home they, in some cases, went to neighbors” to ask the same questions, Van Cleave said.

“I’m not an attorney but, I’ll tell you what, in my opinion that would be a violation of federal law,” Van Cleave said. “To go off on a fishing trip with that information, much less sharing information like that with neighbors, there’s no way that’s legal.”

And, as I said, this is just one of the things listed in the account, there are others. And Eric Greitens thinks it’s fine. He wants local elected officials to sell out their law abiding citizens that depend on them, and elected them for what? Relief from federal pressure, a new militarized Humvee or something? I dunno, nor do I care. But this sort of abuse of citizens is what the Missouri SAPA is meant to prevent. We currently have a weaponized federal law enforcement branch, if you doubt that ask someone that’s been attacked by them.

Isn’t it nice to have friends that tip you off to stuff that’s going on so you can fire up the internet and share in the fun? Eric Greitens was on the Pete Mundo in the morning show, a morning radio show that covers Missouri politics, local politics, events and opinions. I know for a fact someone sent in a question about his waffling support on Missouri’s SAPA. And asked in light of his recent kerfluffle (Caleb Rowden’s call to the MOHP) would he be re-thinking his lack of support for it?

Nope. He was asked, but just like he weaseled around before when the show host asked him about it. The host mentioned Dana Loesch had dinged him on it, and to be honest Dana is supporting Eric Schmitt. Greitens just dismissed the question and said since she’s supporting another candidate…..but listen for yourself, it’s not that long a segment and hopefully I have it set to start after the ads.

Another caller later pointed out Greitens hadn’t answered the question, it seemed his approach is “If you don’t support me, you’re a RINO” and that he is very much making use of the branding and labels of MAGA. I don’t trust this, I don’t trust it at all and the more he does it the more it makes my spidey senses tingle. I really wanted to write a column in support of this guy, but government is not a friend of the people. Especially not now.

Most of the show including follow up callers can be found here https://omny.fm/shows/pete-mundo-kcmo-talk-radio-103-7fm-710am/eric-greitens-controversial-rino-hunting-ad-goes-v

I also listened to a Dennis Prager Fireside chat today (Otto! The Bulldog!) On what’s more dangerous than Guns?
https://www.prageru.com/video/ep-241-what-is-more-dangerous-than-guns

He rightly points out that nuclear weapons are far more dangerous than guns. But no one is concerned that France, the U.K. and more than likely Israel have them. People are concerned Russia, North Korea, China and soon Iran have them. Then he pointed out how many millions have been murdered at the hands of their own governments. Only government having guns is far scarier than guns, because who’s hand the gun rests in matters.
So a politician that loudly proclaims he’s pro-Second Amendment while obviously on more than one occasion disparaging laws set to protect citizens from Federal overreach does not impress me. The time to get legislation like that passed is before it’s needed, because after it’s needed it’s too late. If Greitens can’t look down the road and foresee that, he’s not going to help much. He’s like the guy in the bus after it’s gone off the curve and tumbled down the cliff on the third roll who says “Slow down and watch out for the curve!”. He may not be as bad as a Susan Collins or a Roy Blunt, but he sure isn’t a Rand Paul or Josh Hawley. And that’s just if there is no malicious intent.

Nope, Spidey senses are tingling.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

I’ve heard it said a picture is worth a thousand words, so this is going to be a really really long column! There have been all kinds of pity memes going around lately, many of them dealing with citizen control and on Fakebook and other social media sites people are sharing and swapping them around like baseball trading cards. Back when there was baseball…and trading cards worth trading.

So here we go, I have a few, very few for me links I am putting in to relevant stories that in my mind apply to the meme.

We shall start with what set off the latest round of calls for citizen control. The Uvalde killer who has been labeled in the corporate (biased) media as “bullied”. As per usual, they have it bass akwards.

Teen Who Knew Uvalde Shooter Drops Bomb About Him

HE was the bully, and pro-tip? Anyone, and I mean anyone, who walks around with a bag of dead cats he’s beaten to death is not normal. This is why we have animal cruelty laws.

Texas School Shooter’s Grandfather Says He Barely Spoke to His Grandson Who Lived w/ Him https://rumble.com/v16883j-texas-school-shooters-grandfather-says-he-barely-spoke-to-his-grandson-who-.html

Now does this sound normal to you? And that was a really nice truck his grandma had as well. Looked very expensive. I feel very sorry for her, she tried to help the kid and he shot her then stole her really nice truck.

I have other questions.

How DID the shooter get all that gear? He had a minimum wage job.

So now the hue and cry to get rid of “assault weapons”.

You say potato, I say potato, it’s the same rifle.

But it seems that our (in their minds) rulers have inconsistent ideas about who lawful gun owners should be. For instance, take Ukraine.

Ukraine gets rocket launchers
Biden Will arm our enemies however.

U.S. Senate approves aid to Ukraine, blocks aid to small businesses on same day

Another 40 billion gone

Oh, well, good to see where the priorities of American politicians are, right? Because they aren’t with U.S.!

Then you have exceedingly stupid politicians and even dumber talking heads on the corporate (Pfizer sponsored) media yammering on about how The Second Amendment was never meant to include modern weapons. And that might be a fun column to do in the near future. But for now, WWGWS

What would George Washington say?

Ah George, we need you now!

Fine

We can do it your way.

So then there is the talk about mandatory buy backs and confiscation. Doesn’t it seem odd a burgler is pushing to have law-abiding citizens disarmed? It’s almost like he wants to make it a “safer work environment”…for criminals.

Beta male hypocrisy

And about trusting the government to keep us safe? HAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHHAHAHAHA and more.

Universal background check
Waco Tx

But if it’s really really about preventing death…

Gun death vs Vax death

But since I want to end this column on a happy note:

First they came

And this is around 12,464 words! In two pages.
