March of the Mad Munchkins

The Mad Munchkins

Demonstrating brainwashing works if captured early enough, Trotskyite Munchkin victims of educational malpractice, surrounded by a sea of bitter angry middle-aged women, descended on the nation’s capital like flying malefactors from the Land Oz. Their demand? A federal Congress pound a “national” stake through the heart of an already liberal trampled Bill of Rights. Munchkin March observers reported crowds so tightly packed movement was all but impossible and Porta-Potties an unreachable oasis. Perhaps it wasn’t numbers causing kids to huddle so closely together but rather, fear. Among the March’s backers was Planned [un]Parenthood, you know, those reconstructed Josef Mengele organ harvesters, brain blenders in one hand, suction hoses in the other, ensuring as many unwanted kids as possible not survive the womb. Some of the marchers were young, very young. Considering on average abortionists take more lives weekly (21,069.484)1 than all school shootings combined, will marchers be protesting outside the doors of Planned [un]Parenthood?

An ecstatic liberal media heralded the March of the Mad Munchkins as a student-led protest, organized by Marjory Stoneman-Douglas High School survivors [I thought more than 10 survived]. In “cooperation,” of course, with Everytown For Gun Safety, a radical anti-2nd Amendment Michael Bloomberg front group.2 Was the March really a student-led grassroots movement?

March organizers, and liberal media cheerleaders, claimed attendance swelled to 850,000 including many high school teenagers. But Alex Pappas, writing for FOX News, reported only 10 percent of the marchers were teens, 90 percent were adults, the average age was just under 49, and the real attendance number was only 202,796,3 about the same number of people camping out at Walmart waiting to claw and tear out each other’s hair and eyes come Black Friday. Notions of unemployed high school kids organizing this gala event are preposterous. Instead, Hollywood actors and directors, pro-athletes, a motley crew of extremist leftwing organizations, and the Democrat Party elite organized and bankrolled the March. Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh, using tax-payer dollars from a city sliding into decrepitude,4 bussed students, truant Monday through Friday, to D.C., that Saturday. The Marjory Stoneman-Douglas Duped Ten were merely props in a staged drama.5 Just like my lefty colleagues in public education, some will chortle you can’t trust statistics and reporting from FOX News. Well, let’s see what the Washington Post, daily talking points for liberals, had to say.

University of Maryland Professor of Sociology, Dana R. Fisher, writing for the Washington Post, conducted thorough research as to who, why, and how many attended the March. Relying on camera and satellite imagery, reports from police and other official authorities, and interviews with Marchers, she concluded most (70%) were women, educated, and slightly under 49 years old. Gun control was the driving issue for only 12% of Marchers. Peace causes drew 56%, hatred of trump brought out 42%, and 79% self-identified as “left-leaning” [Marxists]. As can be expected, 89% voted for Hillary Clinton.6 In order to transport, house, and provide nourishing earth-friendly food for the Mad Munchkins and Leftist rabble going to Washington, logistical and financial support was required. They had plenty.

For transportation, the New England [un]Patriots and owner Robert Kraft provided team Boeing 767s. Kraft even wrote a letter of support for the Duped Ten vindicating my rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. Apparently abandoning any connection with the NRA wasn’t enough for Delta Airlines. Flaunting their recent self-castration, Delta also provided free flights to the nation’s capital and back for the Stoneman Ten and their handlers.7 In order to induce people to congregate in close proximity with so many raging feminists, a carrot was needed. It came in the form of celebrity appearances. Model Chrissy Teigen and Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon8 were joined by comedians Amy Shumer and Jason Sudeikis as well as singers Paul Simon, Willow Smith, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Vic Mensa, Disney’s Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana), Demi Lavato, Paul McCartney formerly of the Beatles (a group I liked before their Hash-and-Hindu days), and a slew of actors, including Reese Witherspoon,9 all calling for an end to your 2nd Amendment rights. But it had to be paid for.

Stepping into the financial breach with cash swollen wallets bigger than most people’s homes were the glitterati. Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw, and Jeffrey Katzenberg each ponied up $500,000 dollars with Taylor Swift donating an undisclosed amount toward abolishing the Bill of Rights.10 They were joined by Eli Broad, wealthy businessman who donated $1 million dollars to Bloomberg’s front group, Everytown For Gun Safety. Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff donated $1 million dollars, Italian fashion house Gucci coughed up $500,000, the Miami Dolphins tossed in $100,000, and Joshua Kushner, brother of presidential adviser and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, gave $50,000 dollars. AT&T, Office Depot, Ultimate Software, and Starbucks donated to a student victim’s fund.11 Not to be left out, support poured in from jocks including basketball stars, past and present, LeBron James, Bill Russell, Dwayne Wade (who donated $200,000 dollars), Chris Paul, Caron Butler, Dennis Rodman, and Carmello Anthony who helped bus the Baltimore kids to Washington. Moral support came from Golden State Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr, L.A. Lakers president Jeanie Buss, baseball player Anthony Rizzo, soccer player Kyle Martino, and football player DeMarcus Ware.12 Actors, singers, and athletes typically have large followings on social media. It seems Americans determine the veracity of what stars say based on how much they like them. If not for huge amounts of money stars derive from those patronizing their careers, they’d have no platform. Stop patronizing them. Boycott.

Students did not plan, organize, or coordinate the March of the Mad Munchkins. Instead it was done by March for Our Lives (sic) an umbrella organization created by Everytown For Gun Safety, itself a Bloomberg front group with assistance from the Joyce Foundation. Everytown collected and disbursed cash and arranged for statements and appearances by stars. Everytown’s webpage answers the question the liberal media failed to ask; what specifically would you do to end “gun-violence?” Their answer; Congress should end the federal government’s ban on gun-violence research at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta.13 Like mosquitos that won’t go away, Liberals incessantly claim the CDC is banned from studying “gun-violence” (sic) which is a lie. In 1996, following publication of a CDC funded controversial study on so-called gun-violence, in reality political advocacy masquerading as science paid for with tax payer’s dollars, Arkansas Republican Jay Dickey attached an amendment to a CDC funding bill prohibiting studies done to “promote or advocate gun control.” It was signed into law by Democrat President Bill Clinton. The CDC could continue to study “gun-violence” but research couldn’t be tailored to achieve a political outcome. Like other “federal” agencies, CDC research is at times farmed out to universities which, in turn, are dominated by Leftist professors whose careers depend upon receiving federal grants. Grants are dependent on “finding” what benefactors are paying for. In 1996, CDC researchers wanted to declare “gun-violence” a “public health crisis” a designation which, to some degree, empowers the CDC to impose rules, regulations, and direct action to deal with a health crisis.14 Treating biological causes of epidemics and disease outbreaks means neutralizing the bacterial, viral, and other causes. In this case, the viral agent was firearms.15 Bill of Rights Tramplers also demand ending “absurd” restrictions on the BATF to “digitize records for all guns sales.” This would constitute gun-owner registration which is illegal under federal law. Rights are not registered with governments. Registration transforms rights to privileges dispensed by government. In addition, the Tramplers demand universal background checks meaning the .22 rifle parents give to sons or daughters as Christmas gifts would be illegal. It would have to go through government becoming part of an already existing (form 4473) registration list. Gun and gun owner registration has always been THE prerequisite to government confiscation. Ten-round magazine capacity limits are also part of their shopping list. Apparently it’s okay to shoot 10 but not 11 people. The Tramplers damn semiautomatic rifles as “weapons of war” and “assault weapons” (sic) declaring they have no place in any community and must be banned. At first, gun buy backs would be used to convince people to voluntarily hand them over. How can government buy back what it never owned? To maintain legal possession, gun-owners would have to register semiautomatic rifles with the government and transfers to anyone other than authorities prohibited.16 Why would they be allowed to keep “weapons of war” having no place in any community? They wouldn’t. Once registration was deemed complete, they would be banned. Turn them in or go to prison. During the colonial era, Great Britain never possessed the largest of armies but they were sufficient to execute what amounted to door to door searches for weapons in their colonies including Scotland, Ireland, North America, and later Asia and India. It’s necessary to point this out because anti-2nd Amendment organizations and activists deny they want registration and confiscation. History is the first to call them liars. I’m following suit.

Stoneman Ten students Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg, are too egocentric and full of youthful ignorance and hubris to disguise what they really want. Interviewed by Alisyn Camerota, a conservative before moving from FOX to CNN, she began with a question judges would throw out in a trial as “leading” to wit; could anything be done about gun-violence when needy politicians have no choice but to take campaign donations from the NRA? For some reason Camerota failed to put her question in perspective by noting the NRA has donated $3,533,294 dollars to current members of Congress since 1998, equivalent to Democrat comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s salary for three months.17 Labor Unions, including the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association, two of the most virulently Leftwing unions in existence, donated $1.7 billion dollars in 2016 alone, and almost all went to liberal Democrat candidates who want to ban and confiscate firearms and abolish the 2nd Amendment.18 Neither did Camerota note the NRA’s source of funds for campaign donations comes in small dollar amounts from members while unions typically confiscate their huge haul from the paychecks of workers voluntarily or not. It’s no surprise liberals lie, statists have done this throughout history. It’s alarming how easily they get away with it.

Seething with anger, Gonzalez replied to Camerota declaring: “The NRA should be disbanded and dismantled. Don’t you make a new organization under a different name. Don’t you dare come back here. We need to fix our country. Gun control is just the first thing. We keep telling them [politicians] that if you accept this blood money [from the NRA], you’re against the children. They are against the people who are dying. You are funding the killers [NRA] or you’re standing with the children.” Wow, if you belong to the NRA, and by extension, any similar civil rights organization like the WMSA, you’re a killer. You’re the ones shooting and killing kids! Gonzalez’s thinking is not merely an immature and grossly ignorant misunderstanding of history and the Constitution (she’s an Advanced Placement student, too), it is deranged, totally divorced from reality. Her partner in historical illiteracy, a constantly glowering angry pinch-faced almost trembling with rage David Hogg, made even more bizarre and irrational claims saying politicians took money from the NRA to “make it easier for these horrifying people to get guns. If you can’t get elected without taking money from these child murderers [the NRA], why are you running?”19 What are they teaching kids in public schools today? Emma Gonzalez, sporting a Cuban flag on her clothing, a communist dictatorship that tramples the rights of Cubans, starves kids, and murders people young and old, and David Hogg, who calls for revolution, damns the NRA as baby killers? The Left, which has schooled these sock-puppets, and once called American boys serving in Vietnam “baby killers,” now hangs this appellation around the necks of NRA members? Mental health officials, take note.

Piling on the NRA, Huggies Pull-Ups wetting Washington Post “journalist” (sic) Adam Weinstein complains the NRA are big mean bullies because they insist those writing about “gun-control” issues know something about the subject including use of proper terminology. Whimpering Weinstein condemns this as “Gun-splaining” adapting the term “man-splaining” invented by radical feminist college professors outraged by any hint of DNA dictated masculinity. Broadcasting from behind enemy lines (Washington, D.C.), radio talk show host Chris Plante wondered if, while other little boys were off playing the games little boys play, Weinstein was in his backyard playing with his Easy Bake Oven.20

Instead of indoctrinating American kids into a Leftist social, political, and economic worldview, instead of confusing them about the purpose of biological genitalia, instead of demonizing masculinity and traits like self-reliance and rugged individualism, principals should ensure kids are being taught every sentence doesn’t begin with “so” and the Constitution and history of our founders. Teaching for decades in a public high school socialIST studies department, I know it ain’t happening.

One cannot lend support or donate to a movement without also embracing its cause and the cause of gun control organizations is banning private possession of semiautomatic rifles. Handguns come next. Once ownership is no longer a right, its turn them in or go to prison. CVS, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Krogers’ are among those aiding and abetting the demonization of gun-owners. The following is a letter I sent to CVS Pharmacies:

Dear Mr. Merlo, CEO, CVS Pharmacies

I’ve been a CVS customer 20+ years. Near the end of December, 2017, I noticed the usual wide variety of firearm related magazines had disappeared from your stores. I thought perhaps magazines were discarded at year’s end. Several weeks later a pharmacy employee told me CVS’s corporate office had decided to remove all such magazines. I confirmed this with Kristen, CVS Customer Relations, at your corporate office.

I am both a retired police officer and public high school teacher with an extensive background in firearms. As a member of the 2nd Amendment and sports shooting communities, I was chagrined by your decision. By removing these magazines, you deem something is wrong with them, that they are socially unacceptable. If true based on content, logic dictates the same be true of those who read them. In deciding to slander and discriminate against millions of law-abiding Americans and CVS customers, you have moved from the commercial to the political realm. In so doing, you have de facto allied yourselves with those whose political agenda is abolition of the 2nd Amendment and the individual right to keep and bear arms. If you were in my shoes, would you remain a customer?

To offer as a defense, striving for social responsibility, begs several questions; are you going to remove the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue featuring scantily clad girls? Women displayed in sexually provocative poses perpetuate notions that our wives, daughters, and sisters are sex objects playing a role in sexual harassment and rape. Considering negligent drivers murder 37,000-40,000 people each year and injure, main, and cripple 2-million more, will you remove car, truck, and ATV magazines? Since beer, wine, and liquor appear to be staples at your pharmacies, (is a statistical recitation of the misery and death caused by their misuse necessary?), will you remove alcoholic beverages from your shelves?”

In addition, I announced unless CVS changed their policy, I was initiating a boycott and transferring my accounts to Walgreens, which I did. Executive Support Coordinator Waldemar Kepa responded thanking me for my letter writing he would share my concerns with the merchandising team responsible for magazine selection. He didn’t answer any of my questions or address the boycott. Unless you fight back, gun owners will become as demonized as political conservatives and Christians holding to traditional morality; deemed socially unacceptable, marginalized, pariahs, and driven from the public square.21 “Ho ho, liberal indoctrination has got to go.”

22 Michael Bloomberg, with an estimated worth of $50.8 billion dollars, the 7th richest man in the U.S. and 10th in the world, was the virulently anti-2nd Amendment of New York City, 2002-2013. A Democrat before he became an liberal Republican, he remains, along with George Soros, the biggest financier of political efforts to abolish the 2nd Amendment. The Black Hole of Redaction

I would rather write a nation’s history than its laws [paraphrased].1

Voltaire

A false conclusion arrived at and widely accepted, is not easily dislodged, and the less it is understood, the more tenaciously it is held.”2

Georg Ferdinand Ludwig Philip Cantor: The Law of Conservation of Ignorance

Heirs to a false and hollow history, we become unwitting participants perpetuating and entrenching many many lies as we take our places in a secretly subverted pageant—and never know it.”3

Diane West

Maybe you haven’t met, but they don’t like you. They even hate you. Among many liberals, support for the 2nd Amendment constitutes a monstrous act of inhumanity worthy of scorn, derision, and social banishment. This harsh lesson was brought home to me during my 25 year tenure in public education at the hands of liberals preaching diversity and tolerance. One day two female students came by my classroom visibly upset over what their debate teacher had just said. Discovering they were on the high school’s trap team, she said in front of the entire class; “Girls like you who learn to shoot, especially on the Trap Team, grow up to become mass murderers and killers.” She was serious. Asked what to do, I suggested they share this with their coach.4 In May of that year, (2001), Paul G., a student in one of my government classes, revealed his biology teacher told the class anyone who disagreed with her was “one of those crazy conservatives” and the “dumb Republicans are owned by the NRA.” She added; “You know what would be funny? If somebody shot Charlton Heston.”5 My point; you can’t make compromises and concessions with the Left in an attempt to save any aspect of a right. To do so is like bargaining with assassins over whether they should kill you on Monday or Friday.

While researching my Masters’ thesis at the Truman Library, I worked with thousands of declassified documents many redacted in whole or part. I was investigating what Truman knew about the VENONA Spy program and whether or not he covered up the fact American spies, agents of influence, and fellow travelers had penetrated the Roosevelt administration committing treasonous acts of espionage for the Soviet Union. The short answer is, yes. Senator Joseph McCarthy, contrary to what is taught by liberal teachers (but I repeat myself), was destroyed, with help from Republicans, for daring to ask Truman whatever happened to those the FBI identified as spies. My interest in espionage may have stemmed from being the target of intense spying by liberal colleagues. Some I suspected, due to their expertise with kitchen cutlery, had previously worked in restaurants. Redactions on classified documents was done by two methods; heavy black Magic Marker and parts or entire pages covered by black dots. Because researchers are allowed to work only with copies, not originals, techniques to ascertain content from the backside were ineffective. Redactions typically hide names of allied countries and their intelligence agencies, informants, defectors, sources, and Americans under investigation by the FBI suspected of spying for the USSR. By cross-referencing documents with recent historical exposes, defector memoirs, and other sources, I was able to deduce the identities of some redacted names, British Secret Service (MI6) and Red Spy Queen Elizabeth Bentley, for example. Redaction frustrates historians because it stymies a full, truthful, and accurate accounting for an historical period. Truman was no communist and, unlike FDR, had no affection for Josef Stalin. But he recognized if the magnitude of the spy scandals got out, Republicans, who had been out of power in Congress and the White House since 1932, would spring on it to hammer Democrats possibly retaking control of Congress in 1946 and the presidency in 1948. Led by Robert Taft, Republicans were determined to dismantle FDR’s socialist New Deal and withdraw the U.S. from the U.N. Truman was even more determined to prevent this at any cost. Truman’s cover-up should rank as one of the greatest political scandals of the 20th century but good luck finding mention of it in a pop-history books or taught in Universities let alone high schools. How much worse would be the truth had I been able to completely bypass the Truman Legacy Gatekeepers, Praetorian Guard of Liberal Historians, and those in government with a vested interest in protecting the cover-up?

When working behind the SocialIST Studies Curtain, I considered biased liberal historical interpretation extant in history textbooks (liberal propaganda tracts) the worst challenge. I was wrong. Instead it’s what liberals censor, ignore, and redact from standardized curriculum and textbooks that is most problematic.6 Not taught? They don’t even know other perspectives even exist. How can students learn to analyze, assess, evaluate, and interpret history, this “critical thinking” thing I kept hearing about but seldom witnessed, if denied access to other perspectives (conservative) even those accepted as valid for generations? Why do surveys indicate high school graduates today are typically ignorant of the meaning and purpose of the 2nd Amendment, Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights, and America’s founding Judeo-Christian principles? Because this history and the truth has been surgically excised, redacted, from curriculum and textbooks, a problem that is systemic and institutionalized. Teaching must be in lockstep with approved curriculum and curriculum is written by liberals. Standardized testing, to which state and “federal” (sic) funding is in part tied to, requires students learn only that liberal infused curriculum. What role, therefore, could there be for conservative teachers?7 Rare if they can be hired in the first place, should liberals uncover one in their midst, he probably won’t be around for long. If found, at least you’ll know where Jimmy Hoffa is. Likewise, hand holding with gun confiscationist organizations, the liberal media redacted mention of President Obama’s PROMISE Program and Bucket of Chum, the Parkland, Florida mass murderer.

For the most part Americans are cognizant many red flags were ignored by school and law enforcement officials with respect to Cruz “including 39 visits to Chum’s home by police but no arrests, six school transfers in three years [behavior problems] but no expulsions, recommendations for forcible [mental] commitment but no follow through,” and all the result of a “deliberate policy.”8 Obama’s PROMISE [Preventing Recidivism through Opportunities, Mentoring, Interventions, Supports, and Education] Program was predicated on the notion minority students, especially blacks, are written up and disciplined at significantly greater rates than white students, as a result of racism on the part of teachers and administrators. Consequently, minorities are far likelier to have contact with the police and enter the criminal justice system, the school “pipeline to prison,” than white students. “Restorative Justice” was Obama’s remedial slogan. But did/does it work?

When minority students are involved in serious cases of “theft, vandalism, trespassing, drug or alcohol possession, or disorderly conduct,” [fighting, beating up other students] instead of calling the cops, “troubled-youth” [punks, bullies, drug-dealers, hoodlums, thugs, etc.] are diverted from the discipline process to counseling and “behavioral services.” The “benefit” is, troubled youth avoid the proverbial pipeline to prison. The drawback is, these hoods acquire no criminal record thus allowing continuance in their wicked ways, even buying guns. In Florida, these programs are administered in collaboration with the “NAACP, Public Defenders’ office, State Department of Criminal Justice, State Attorney’s Office, and the Broward County Sheriff’s Department.” It’s designed to give “troubled-youth” second, and in Chum’s case, dozens of second chances.9 Gang-bangers, violent psychos, rapists, bullies, and drug-dealers remain in the classroom seated next to your sons and daughters.

At this writing there is conflicting information as to whether or not Chum was in the PROMISE Program although the consensus is yes. Deputy Jeff Bell, President of the Broward County Sheriff’s Deputies Association, observes that if Chum, recommended over and over for counseling services, had instead been arrested (trespass and various acts of disorderly conduct), he wouldn’t have legally been able to buy a firearm.10 Obama’s PROMISE Program was “pioneered” by “Obama-connected” Broward County School Superintendent Robert Runcie. He implemented it at Marjory Stoneman-Douglas High (MSDH) in 2013, where Cruz attended. He bragged his program reduced “student misdemeanor arrests by 63 percent, expulsions among general-education students [called regular-education where I taught] by 27 percent, and 54 percent among exceptional education students [Special-Education where I taught] and suspensions by approximately 30 percent.11 You get more of what you subsidize. Not only are kids saved from accountability for their actions through diversion, their crimes and contact with administrators at times goes unreported and undocumented. Abracadabra, with the wave of the liberal’s magic wand, reporting of incidents of crime, including violence, bullying, sexual assault, and suspension drop dramatically because in some cases, they are no longer documented, they don’t exist. You can’t punish what was swept under the rug. Never happened. Kids, especially those in “protected groups,” are spared having to face the consequences of their behavior. Do you think they don’t figure this out? What a great way to prepare them for the real world. This is what Runcie did. Instead of arrest and accountability, they get a hug. For this Runcie was named Florida Superintendent of the Year (2015) and won millions of dollars in state and “federal” (sic) grants.12 For teachers desiring promotion, to teach the “desirable” courses, and even to hold on to their jobs, they’d better keep their mouths shut and be a “team player” or else.

Under Obama’s PROMISE Program, school districts were “encouraged” to dispose of crimes including “assault, sexual violence, and drug possession” (see the pattern forming?) in-house not reporting them to the police enabling bad kids to graduate without criminal records. School administrators have a self-interest lying to the state and parents about what goes on in their schools. To pump up enrollment, academic ranking, and win support for incessant property tax levies and bond measures, administrators must paint schools in the best possible light possibly fudging student attendance, academic achievement, and crime statistics. Funding for schools and massive cafeteria programs, where your dollars go to feed someone else’s kids, are tied, in part, to attendance rates. Truant kids and those suspended or in jail, are detrimental to those rates and funding. Hence some kids get a stay-out-of-jail or “never-go-to-jail” card.13

In Parkland, Florida, Bucket of Chum introduced himself as a “school shooter” long before his rampage. His school psychiatrist (May 3, 2014, the year before Superintendent Runcie won his award) revealed Chum described dreams of “killing people” and seeing them “covered in blood.” School officials developed a safety plan to remove sharp objects and weapons from his home and teachers received emails warning that Chum was dangerous, had made threats, and wasn’t allowed on campus with a backpack because he had been found with ammunition on his person. Peers say Chum talked about shooting up the school on Instagram, information that was given to the Office of the School Resource Officer as well as Broward County Sherriff’s Department. Law enforcement tip lines received numerous calls about Cruz (2008-2017) warning he was violent, mentally unstable, had weapons and planned to shoot up the school. Police interviewed Chum but did nothing. No effort was made to have him adjudicated mentally incompetent and remove his firearms. Apparently selling knives from a lunch box at school wasn’t enough to get Chum arrested either. He often discussed killing parents and others on social media. Ex-girlfriend Ariana Lopez reported to school officials that Chum was dangerous and stalking her but they did nothing.14

Following Chum’s massacre of classmates and teachers, Runcie and other school officials raced to microphones claiming they had had no warnings, phone calls, or threats to indicate Chum was dangerous. None of these denials were true. The failure of Welcome-Back-Coddler and other misguided little or no discipline programs have begot a growing cohort of violent unhinged kids in American society. Liberals, terrified of being called the label they so eagerly lather all over everyone else; “racist,” and because they are so arrogant, considering themselves the anointed saviors of society, can never admit they are wrong. Liberals unleashed a full-fledged war against God, the traditional family, moral values, the legitimacy of notions like right and wrong, good and evil, substitution for “problems” (intrinsic to the individual and therefore his fault) with “issues” (extrinsic, therefore someone else’s fault), and ameliorated by humanistic counseling and Dr. Feel-Good meds, and thus are reaping a most terrible harvest. Liberal social and education policies, J’ accuse, the past forty-fifty years, has birthed these terrible violent sociopathic kids. Because they cannot admit fault, they cannot see the truth. Because they cannot see truth, they cannot accept sensible common sense solutions with respect to violence at school. Because you live in the same world, everyone suffers and more of your children will die.

55 IBID. 37. She was an environmentalist and very liberal. Although I never engaged her in conversation, once word got out I was a conservative, she took opportunities to insult me from time to time. Any place I’ve ever lived, my experience has been universally identical. Once liberals discover a person is a conservative, they feel irresistibly compelled to tease, then mock, insult, and finally scorn them. Move Along, Nothing To See Here, Nope, No Genocide Whatsoever

Zimbabwe

Let’s have a little look at history, shall we? First up Zimbabwe. At one time known as the Jewel of Africa for it’s prosperity. It is now known as yet another country that depends on aide to survive. When the country declared independence from Britain in 1965 the country changed from Southern Rhodesia to Rhodesia. Mugabe became Prime Minister in February of 1980, and opposition erupted.

A) The Fifth Brigade, a North Korean-trained elite unit that reported directly to the Zimbabwean Prime Minister, entered Matabeleland and massacred thousands of civilians accused of supporting “dissidents”.

Estimates for the number of deaths during the five-year Gukurahundi campaign ranged from 3,750 to 80,000. Thousands of others were tortured in military internment camps. The campaign officially ended in 1987 after Nkomo and Mugabe reached a unity agreement that merged their respective parties, creating the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU–PF).

….

Well, off to quite a start for a new “democratic” government with a policy of enfranchisement. So they doubled down.

Land redistribution re-emerged as the main issue for the ZANU-PF government around 1997. Despite the existence of a “willing-buyer-willing-seller” land reform programme since the 1980s, the minority white Zimbabwean population of around 0.6% continued to hold 70% of the country’s most fertile agricultural land.

B) In 2000, the government pressed ahead with its Fast Track Land Reform programme, a policy involving compulsory land acquisition aimed at redistributing land from the minority white population to the majority black population. Confiscations of white farmland, continuous droughts, and a serious drop in external finance and other supports led to a sharp decline in agricultural exports, which were traditionally the country’s leading export-producing sector. Some 58,000 independent black farmers have since experienced limited success in reviving the gutted cash crop sectors through efforts on a smaller scale.

President Mugabe and the ZANU-PF party leadership found themselves beset by a wide range of international sanctions. In 2002, the nation was suspended from the Commonwealth of Nations due to the reckless farm seizures and blatant election tampering. The following year, Zimbabwean officials voluntarily terminated its Commonwealth membership.

And how did that turn out? Did it bring prosperity and peace to the country at long last? Um, not so much.

In a 2016 column Robin Mitchinson gives quite a different story. Let’s start with A)

Not that Mugabe will shed tears for Matabeleland any more than he did in the 1980s when he unleashed the notorious 5th Brigade in a genocidal campaign against them. It is thought that these North Korean-trained butchers murdered at least 20,000 Matabele in their so-called ‘gukurahundi’ (the rain that washes away the chaff).

These were not the so-called ‘dissidents’ opposing Mugabe’s one-party monstrosity. They were for the most part ordinary villagers scratching a living in the bundu.

The 5th Brigade gained an horrific reputation for committing atrocities — slashing open the wombs of young pregnant girls, forcing villagers to dig their own graves and then shooting them in them; a mother was forced to eat her own child.

A favourite torment especially for village headmen was to wrap them in plastic bags and set fire to them. I met one such who had survived; he was horribly disfigured with the black pigment burned away from his skin.

Moving on to B)

This time it’s Zimbabwe, so before reaching for the cheque-book, it is wise to reflect on why these people are starving. Mugabe says it is because of drought.

It is not. It is entirely self-inflicted. Zimbabwe has had famine conditions in 2001 (the year farm seizures began), 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008. 2014, 2015 and now! Some drought!

Prior to the seizure of white-owned farms from 2001, Zimbabwe produced 3 million tons of maize (at least those farmers did), almost exactly twice its own needs. This year it is expected to be 600,000 tons, only a third of the quantity needed to feed itself. Zimbabwe has gone from being the breadbasket of Southern Africa to its basket case. Only about 100 white farmers remain from the original 5,000.

And it is not as if the seized land is being farmed. The stated intention was to redistribute the land to former terrorists. Instead, much of it was allocated to Mugabe’s cronies and has lain fallow ever since.

As well as maize, these farmers produced beef of the highest quality, especially from pedigree Herefords. Now it is all gone. The breeding animals have all been slaughtered for nyama (meat) despite their otherwise high value as pedigree breeding stock.

The entire livestock industry has been vandalised. The population of Matabeleland has fallen drastically through malnutrition, Aids, and emigration.

The title of the article? Zimbabwe’s socialist famine. And yet, the ignorant keep reaching for socialism.

How has it affected the lives of those who should have benefited from these socialist policies? ‘Zimbabwe never had food shortages before. Mugabe has caused this famine’ The whole article has a lot more detail on how their lives are going.

When Mafu arrived in Makokoba, Bulawayo was still a prosperous city dominated by the white-owned businesses and farms that made Zimbabwe one of Africa’s richest regions. Two years ago, as President Mugabe’s land grab destroyed the economy, Mafu lost his job as a cleaner.

“When the Europeans were here, we could cope,” he said. “I had money to buy food and a clinic handed out free drugs. Now we have no jobs, no income, inflation is 1,000 per cent and when we go to hospital they ask us for money. If we have none, we are turned away.”

So what made this so much easier to accomplish? Zimbabwe — Gun Facts, Figures and the Law

So it’s not like this has never happened, and did anything much happen? Nope, just aide money. Did the UN send peacekeepers? Monitors? Anything?

South Africa

So, the current situation in South Africa. Boer is the Dutch and Afrikaans noun for “farmer”. And being a Boer, farmer is South Africa is now the most dangerous profession in the world. Yes, move over Deadliest Catch.

There have been dozens of recorded farm murders so far in 2017, an average of one farm attack per day, according to South African media reports.

White South African farmers are between two and three times more likely to be murdered than even South African police officers.

They are also more likely to be killed than U.S. troops serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.

And,

The international average murder rate is 7 per 100,000, he noted. “In the case of mainly white farmers in South Africa, the figure is a staggering 133 per 100,000,”

OY.

The brutality of these attacks is truly horrifying. People are beaten to death, tortured with blow torches, electric drills, dragged behind vehicles, stabbed, raped and the list goes on. But it doesn’t stop with people, from Twitter.

In Magaliesberg, #SouthAfrica, these so called people killed a farmer’s stock yesterday by cutting pieces of flesh from the cattle while they are alive. I get that it is OK to hurt white farmers, but are liberals OK with the animal abuse too, just because the owner is white???

I wish I hadn’t clicked on “more”. It was a picture. I really wish I hadn’t. That of course, is far from the only incident. Torturing and killing animals and the farm families is seen as a way to “nudge” them off the land.

And why would people think they can get away with such heinous crimes? Well, how about because their government is calling for them. From a 2017 article:

“Bury them alive.” ~~Minister of Higher Education Mduduzi Manana

“Shoot the Farmer, Kill the Boer” is a song, sung by both Julius Malema, then President of the African National Congress Youth League and then South African President, Jacob Zuma.

“People of South Africa, where you see a beautiful land, take it, it belongs to you,”~~ Julius Malema

“We are not calling for the slaughter of white people‚ at least for now,”~~ Julius Malema

The goal is to drive the farmers off the land, and give it to those the African National Congress decides they want to have it. This is very much communism, and they make no bones about it. The result is you have horrific murders taking place probably daily but the South African Police stopped releasing data on the race of the crime victims in 2007. They also quit caring about the murdered farmers. Showing up at a murder scene was five police cars who thought the farmer had shot intruders. When they found out the intruders had murdered the white farmer, they turned around and left. In fact crimes against the farmers including the murders of the farmers are rarely solved.

In 2014 AfriForum released a report on Farm Tortures in South Africa. It has done nothing but get worse.

But with all the misplaced confidence of a communist, Jacob Zuma blathered

Speaking in Parliament in early March, Zuma called for “black parties” to unite to change the Constitution so that white-owned farms could be taken without compensation to be redistributed.

“We need to take bold steps that will transform our economy, including land ownership, very fast,” Zuma said.

“We are busy amending [laws] to enable faster land reform, including land expropriation without compensation as provided for in the constitution,” he added.

He has all the smarts of a community organizer. Yeah, they’re going to fundamentally transform South Africa. And since the communists in charge have no knowledge of farming they don’t know that you don’t just kill people off, shove them off or steal their land and replace them with people that know nothing about farming and still get food. According to Ilanna Mercer 70% of the land seized by the African National Congress is lying fallow. She also has an excellent column on the tactics being used by state sponsored killers.

Why do I say state sponsored? Because

New evidence that has emerged this year also suggests state sponsorship of the attacks, according to South African security sources.

In a series of security camera images captured by farmers in farm attacks and seen by WND, a group of black attackers carry advanced technological equipment such as cell-phone signal jammers, presumably to ensure that the farmers cannot call for help.

Because common criminals and burglars rarely have the means or the knowledge to purchase or operate such systems, some analysts speculated that rogue members of the South African military may have provided them.

Maybe the farmers should form groups for like mutual defense? Yeah,,,,,they did that.

Authorities also deliberately dismantled the “commando” self-defense units that once effectively provided security for rural areas.

Officials have also made it increasingly difficult for citizens to be armed for self-defense.

This year from a 7th June article

On June 7th the Constitutional Court in South Africa, overruled a lower court’s decision that parts of South Africa’s gun laws were unconstitutional. The ruling will force hundreds of thousands of gun owners who didn’t renew their permits to turn in their firearms. There’s no provision for appeal or legitimate reasons for delay, such as hospitalization or death.

Compensation is $37 for a pistol, $75 for a rifle, maximum.

Here is an interview with John Welch, President of South African Gun Owners Association.

Registration, confiscation, communist/socialist government leads to a really bad outcome for some segment of the population. A very old and seen too often story. Genocide Watch currently has the situation in South Africa at 6 out of a scale of 10. Genocide Watch.

Many of those in the corrupt government claim it’s a response to the land being “stolen” from the original inhabitants. Which is pretty much baloney. In the article on the Boers the history states Dutch immigrants first arrived to the practically uninhabited Western Cape of South Africa in 1652. But that’s how communism works, some work hard to build up the land, a business, their families and then someone who knows nothing, and has done nothing is allowed to take it. And in South Africa? It’s done with extreme brutality. Do they think companies are going to be willing to invest money in South Africa knowing that their assets could be seized at anytime by the equality minded communists? They are indeed on the same path as Zimbabwe and Venezuela. I for one, do not want to see American tax dollars going to bail them out. This is what they chose.

When America was accepting all the “refugees” from countries that could give us no information on who was coming in, we never looked at importing the hardworking Boers?

I don’t really watch TV stations like cnn or msnbc #FakeNews, I have a limit as to how much I will knowingly allow people to lie to me. Thirty seconds on either station goes over the mark. But in the effort to be pretty sure I did a quick search on their websites. The search terms are in the address bars. These atrocities are not being covered at the #MSM #FakeNews stations. Nor should they count on much help from the UN. The UN is very busy with what it considers real human rights problems. This has been going on, and yet, List of United Nations resolutions concerning Israel. Well, that certainly puts things in perspective doesn’t it?

[UPDATED] Rotters – Their THIRD iteration

See update below. Data changed again.

I mean Reuters. Making stuff up as they go. They published a chart: Violence in Europe: Average annual number of deaths from lethal gun victimisation per 100,000 in select European countries, 2010-2016.

If you click that link, I have no idea what data you’ll get. On Tuesday, it purported to show Cyprus, just as an example since it was the top of the chart… then, with an overall firearms death rate of 63.9 per 100,000, and 82.4/100K among males 15-29. I’m not familiar with Cyprus numbers, so maybe that is was correct.

I am a little more familiar with UK numbers. Reuters showed them at overall 2.6/100K, and 6.9/100K among 15-29 year-old males.

That bastion of accuracy, Wikipedia shows Cyprus at 1.87/100K overall, and the UK at 0.23/100K. But at least Wikipedia links to their sources. Reuters simply says “Source: World Health Organization.” Maybe, but I can’t find it.

For the record, Wikipedia shows the US at 11.96/100K, which happens to be exactly what CDC says for 2016. So there’s a cross-check on Wikipedia data, something lacking in the Reuters data. According to Reuters (Tuesday), there were at least twelve European countries with firearms death rates exceeding that of the US: Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Moldavia, Estonia, Norway, Macedonia, Serbia, Sweden, and Cyprus.

That’s not exactly what you usually hear: that the US has a higher rate than any other developed nation (or whatever term they toss out du jour).

Since I couldn’t find the WHO data, I wrote to Reuters.

Regarding the chart:

Violence in Europe
Average annual number of deaths from lethal gun victimisation per 100,000 in select European countries, 2010-2016.
http://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gfx/editorcharts/VIOLENCE/0H0012Y7C163/index.html
Source: World Health Organisation
Gustavo Cabrera

I have been unable to locate the data on the WHO web site. Would it be possible to give me a link to the source data used by Gustavo Cabrera?

Thank you.

As expected, no response other than an automated ” being reviewed by our support staff” email.

But on Wednesday, the chart had changed.

Now, no country has an overall rate exceeding 0.5/100K; safely below that of the US. Maybe. But look closely, because on Tuesday, overall population was indicated by the black outline, and males 15-29 were pale blue. On Wednesday, the labelling is reversed. Either Wednesday labels are a mistake, or — unlike the US — males 15-29 are some of the safest people in Europe.

Take a look at the scale(s)…

On Tuesday:

0 to 100, to accommodate the sky-high Cyprus.

On Wednesday:

0.0 to that 0.5.

So suddenly everyone in Europe has a lower firearms death rate than the US… including nations that were experiencing civil wars in the indicated time frame. And the data of neither day bears any resemblance to that found elsewhere on the Internet. If Reuters is to be believed, the UK doesn’t have any firearms deaths. Which seems a little hard to believe.

UPDATE, Thursday, 8/16/2018: They’re on the third interation of that chart now.
But at least they now have a correction notice.

Correction: a previous version of this graphic contained a number of mathematical errors resulting in incorrect data and wide inaccuracies . This data has been changed to reflect the corrected numbers. For example, from 2010-2016 in Sweden there was an average of 1.2 gun-related deaths per 100,000 men aged 15-29, not 80.4 as was previously charted.

At least some of the numbers now bear a passing resemblance to data I found from other sources. Reuters provided me with a spreadsheet of their data, which was used to create this third version of the chart.

Note that numbers have changed, as have rankings, and even country labels.

The scale has changed again, too.

Reuters also gave me a link to the WHO database they used. Checking that will take a lot longer.

I think it’s pitiful — but typical — that Reuters only corrected this — and admitted to the correction — after being called out on it three times (yes, I sent them three messages regarding the inaccuracies). Once upon a time, Reuters was my go-to news service, but I ended that probably 20 years ago over just such errors and practices (not to mention an anti-RKBA slant you could ski down).

The stupid, it burns.

I’m getting a little burned out lately from dealing with stupidity, so pardon me if this gets a little rough around the edges.

Or the middle.

Gun controller dimwits are going nuts over the possibilty of DefDist putting its 3D printer files back online. A group of technologically-ignorant idiots tried to get an injunction to block the release; it was denied for lack of standing since no one has ever demonstrated being injured by a 3D-printed gun used in crime. I’m tempted to point them at the gun plans on Amazon just to watch all of their little pointy heads explode. And maybe at Lowes. And then the merchants of death of the plumbing industry can lobby for a Protection of Lawful Commerce in Pipe Act.

New Jersey sent DefDist a cease & desist letter, because no NJ gangbanger ever built a zip gun from pipe.

Pennsylvania convinced DefDist to block download from the SSRPA. Now they have to convince every VPN and proxy company in the world to block PA, to make that effective. Hey, they’ve had 16 years years to figure it out. Now all they need is a law against illegal drugs, murder, robbery crime and they’ll achieve frickin’ Utopia.

Except people have been generating printer files and experimenting with no designs the whole time the State Department had DefDist offline… to prevent export of gun designs. Domestic use is peachy, and not regulated by ITAR.

The aptly named name Hello Giggles fears undetectable plastic printed AR-15s. 1) I challenge Ms. Sheffer to produce a wholey plastic, printed, working AR. 2) And do it without falling afoul of the thirty year-old law against “undetectable” plastic guns… or ceramic Glocks, or whatever makes the panty-pissers dampen their drawers next.

Noted international ballistics experts Anthony A. Braga, PhD and Philip J. Cook, PhD have discovered that diameter is the single most deadly characteristic of bullets; .356″ diameter rounds being much deadlier than .356″. I referred them to Marshall & Sanow’s Handgun Stopping Power: The Definitive Study, and attempted to explain the difference between “caliber” and “cartridge.” No response, so the dumbasses are probably still parsing the big words.

Last month, WDIV’s Amber Ainsworth reported that someone carjacked a van using a machinegun, specifically a “MAC-10.” Since neither the gunman (who apparently never fired a shot) nor the weapon have been found, I wondered how they made that determination. Neither Amber, clearly a mainstreaming hire from McDonalds’ program, nor her director bothered to reply. Neither did the DPD or the ATF (who ought to have heard something about an illicit NFA firearm used in a crime).

Amusingly, while trying find more detail on that incident, I ran across an earlier report of yet another “machinegun” used in a Detroit crime; this one was identified as an Uzi submachinegun.

The evidence photo was of a semiauto “MAC-10” variant. And they say fake news is a hoax.

As mentioned earlier, the federal government’s assorted button counters can’t agree on the number of buttons people murdered with firearms, disagreeing by nearly four thousand bodies.

Ah, well. It isn’t as though the government can figure out how many of those dead folks are still voting in Chicago and elsewhere either. Probably for more gun control.

Apparently the NRA is still growing by leaps and bounds. Pew-ie Research says its now at 14,125,392 members. LaPierre and Cox are now wracking their tiny brains trying figure out how to collect the dues from all of them, and buy new limos.

Joseph Wyatt, Professor of Psychology at Marshall University, thinks it’s high time schools were made gun-free zones. He also wants all clips limited to 10 rounds. Garand owners say, “Sure. What the heck.”

Over at Childish Vogue, “Prince Shakur” is under the impression that “Gun shows are conventions where both licensed and unlicensed firearms dealers are allowed to sell firearms.” And that’s the high point of his comprehension of Federal Firearms Licensing.

Sadly, Georgia state rep Jason Spencer is the face of pro-RKBA for the media. With “friends like these…” He should have subscribed to the TZP newsletter, too. But he’s always been such a dipstick that even that wouldn’t have saved him from making — a further — um, ass of himself.

The Actuary Magazine makes the case for firearms liability insurance because total firearms deaths and injuries from murder, suicide, accidents, and justifiable homicide exceeds deaths in motor vehicle accident deaths. No word on why they want existing firearms liability insurance programs shut down, if it’s such a great idea.

Randy Bryce, running for Congress in Wisconsin, thinks felons, domestic abusers, and the mentally incompetent should be barred from firearms possession, which not only puts him right up there with Chuck Schumer, who forgot he voted for the Undetectable Firearms Act, but probably ought to make him a prohibited person due to mental incompetence. But fully qualified to be a congresscreep.

Of course there’s the perpetual denial of little facts like most crime (and especially murders) being committed by repeat offenders, mostly convicted felon prohibited persons; or that despite an uptick in crime in Democratic strongholds crime is still near its lowest in decades (school shootings, too, Parkland Pussies)… therefore we need more laws for crooks to ignore and to violate the rights of the millions not committing the crimes.

“Common sense” my white-privileged, cis-gendered, patriarchic ass.

— sigh —

I mentioned earlier that folks could contribute to the cause to enable me to conduct further research into RKBA issues. Forget it. Kick in to buy me scotch.

Here. Have some heavily armed cats.

I didn’t want to get involved

One of the daily devotional books I read had the topic of “When Good Men Do Nothing”, it’s short.

Often injustice lies in what you aren’t doing, not only in what you are doing.”

MARCUS AURELIUS, MEDITATIONS, 9.5

History abounds with evidence that humanity is capable of doing evil, not only actively but passively. In some of our most shameful moments—from slavery to the Holocaust to segregation to the murder of Kitty Genovese—guilt wasn’t limited to perpetrators but to ordinary citizens who, for a multitude of reasons, declined to get involved. It’s that old line: all evil needs to prevail is for good men to do nothing.

It’s not enough to just not do evil. You must also be a force for good in the world, as best you can.

The Kitty Genovese murder was horrific. The 28 year old had finished her shift at work as a bar manager and drove home in her red Fiat. She parked her car at the train station across from her Kew Gardens apartment building and started walking home. A 29 year old bucket of chum had followed her home. He was married with kids, had a job and had decided that day that he wanted to kill a woman because he preferred killing women because they were easier and didn’t fight back. He had been driving around about an hour looking for a victim. He began to chase her as she was walking across the street. He initially stabbed her twice but when a couple of people opened their windows in response to her screams and yelled at him he took off. Kitty staggered down the street trying to make it to her apartment. Some of the witnesses said they called the police and said a woman got beat up, but she was up and walking. It doesn’t matter, the police didn’t come. When said bucket of chum had sat in his car about ten minutes and didn’t hear police sirens he got out and went looking for her. He finally found her in the vestibule of her apartment building. He continued to stab her, stole her money and raped her.

Kitty was unable to continue to scream much as his first stab of the second attack was to her throat so she couldn’t scream. But she did make noise. About the only hero in the story is 4’11” Sophie Farrar who heard the commotion, yelled at someone to call the police and flew down the stairs to confront whatever. She held and comforted the dying Kitty. Total time of attacks was about half an hour.

Not much initially happened after the murder until a NY Slimes story came out and claimed 38 people had witnessed the murder and done nothing. And, it being the NY Slimes #FakeNews, the story was later de-bunked. But in typical NY Slimes #FakeNews fashion, they wanted to make news with a point about urban indifference. So, facts? Who needs ‘em. There were actually two men, who most likely saw it happening.

Joseph Fink was an assistant superintendent at the building across the street from Genovese’s. Stationed in the building’s lobby, he had a clear view of the first stabbing, and later told prosecutors that he “thought about going downstairs to get my baseball bat,” but took a nap instead. When asked by the prosecutor why he didn’t help, he shrugged. Another prosecutor later said, “It made me sick to my stomach dealing with this man.”

And the other? Karl Ross, a dog groomer and friend of Kitty’s.

As was his habit, Ross had been drinking the night of the murder. At 3:30 a.m., he heard a noise outside his window that sounded like a woman screaming.

“Skittish by nature, the groggy Ross wasn’t eager to find out what was happening,” Cook writes. “He stayed where he was. He waited, hoping the noises would stop. Soon they died down. He relaxed.”

But a few minutes later, a similar noise arose, this one closer, possibly “a scuffling” or “a muffled cry.”

“Ross stood by his door but didn’t open it,” Cook writes. “He paced behind it, wondering what he should do. At last his curiosity got the best of him. He opened the door a crack.”

What he saw was Genovese, his friend, “lying flat on her back . . . trying to speak” as Moseley continued stabbing her. Suddenly, Moseley stopped — and looked directly at Ross, who retreated into his apartment as quickly as possible.

Instead of calling the police, Ross wasted time calling other neighbors for advice, and they, for reasons unclear, then called others. It was a fatal game of telephone that wasted precious minutes, until Farrar finally yelled at Ross to call the police while she rushed to comfort the victim. Ross called at 3:55, too late to save Genovese’s life.

When the police questioned him about why he didn’t help, Ross inadvertently invented a phrase that would come to symbolize civic apathy, telling them, “I didn’t want to get involved.”

How…special.

But it did prompt some interesting psychology studies. The Bystander, or Kitty Genovese Effect.

Several psychologists were asked by the the Slimes writer how could someone attempt to kill another person in front of a large group of witnesses like that, and why would none of them get involved or attempt to help? None could answer. Albert Seedman, who was chief of detectives at the time got an answer for that from the psychopath.

‘I knew they wouldn’t do anything, people never do’

Seedman is a pretty interesting guy, at the time, he was the only Jewish officer ever to rise to that rank, and solved some pretty amazing crimes.

But it sounds like the more witnesses, the less likely you are to receive help. Then you add in groups that hate you for what you are. That has been made easy for them by the way they were raised, or their own beliefs. It seems another component is what others around them are doing.

What I’m thinking of now is a article I saw earlier about Austrian State May Require Jews to Register to Buy Kosher Meat I know, it’s Haaretz #FakeNews which is about as reliable as the NY Slimes #FakeNews. And it didn’t fly Austria rejects registering Jews for kosher meat the AFP of course said it was a “far right” party that wanted to implement it. AFP seems to be unaware that on the political spectrum “far right” is anarchy. Communists, socialists, nazis, demoncrats, progressives are are just different flavors of the same big government control poison. Anarchy is the opposite. But, it’s the AFP, so. It was claimed there was a need to do this from a animal welfare aspect. Interesting, because in one of Rabbi Tovia’s lectures he talked about having to work in a slaughter house. Yes, it was awful but what he learned was that killing the animal in a Kosher way, was less traumatic and painful for them then the way all the other animals were slaughtered.

But back to witnesses and those raised to hate certain groups of people, Turkish man beats Jews in front of kosher shop in Vienna.

I guess one way or another, there are ways of making people feel unwelcome, the approach they take depends on the direction politically they want to come at it.

It makes me think of all those “helpful” bits of advice we are given like don’t be in a bad neighborhood. Kew Gardens in the 60s was a safe, peaceful neighborhood. Don’t go places alone, Kitty was in a very populated area. She died while her friend watched her being stabbed to death. The police are only moments away. Yeahhh, well. And then there are those that want us to disarm while they hire armed bodyguards. No, just say no. Now there’s a platitude I could get behind.

But “I didn’t want to get involved” or “All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing”. The choice is always ours, but last saying “Prior and proper planning prevents p*** poor performance”. Yep, I’ll take that one, because I don’t want to be Kitty, and I choose to be a force for good in the world. Today bystanders not only don’t want to get involved, they are as likely to stand there and film it or stream it live. Evil may be succeeding, but the choice is still ours.

Political Polling

Did you ever wonder how pollsters can keep coming up with claims that 90+% of Americans want universal background checks preemptively-prove-your-innocence prior restraint on rights when every time it goes to the voters actual results never come within 30 points of the claim?

Poll: Vermonters strongly support new gun-control measures
More than two of every three Vermonters say they support the new gun-control measures signed into law by Gov. Phil Scott this year, according to the results of a poll conducted by Vermont Public Radio and Vermont PBS.

Vermont is pretty liberal, so maybe that shouldn’t be a surprise. But it’s a bit of a strange state when it comes to RKBA. When I lived in New England, I often heard how much Vermonters like their guns; libertarian types would note it with approval, liberals with befuddlement, and conservatives made jokes about “heavily armed hippies.” But everyone knew it.

So how did VPR/VPBS come up with results indicating such heavy approval of gun control? The secret is in the polling methodology, something I like to look at nearly as much as alleged results. In this case, the clue is:

“For the landline sample, interviewers requested to speak with the youngest male member of the household who is at least 18 years of age; if there was no male in the household, interviewers requested the youngest female.”

They actively screened for the youngest voting-eligible demographic. The group which most strongly leans liberal, statistically speaking. That accounts for the liberal skew in the results.

I mentioned this to someone, as an example of the worst built-in survey bias methodology I’d ever seen. And that person told me something of which I was unaware: that most phone poll calls she’s gotten do the same thing. It’s been years since I participated in a phone poll,* so I hadn’t realized this. It’s the first time I spotted that selection criteria in methodology notes (usually I see a pro-urban selection bias, and over-representation of Democrats compared to the general population).

Those young adults also tends to have the lowest voter turnout, which accounts for the fact that polls rarely match voting reality.

That age selection game is particularly problematic for Vermont.

“Vermont faces a demographic challenge. Our population is stagnant and getting older. We have fewer school-age kids, which drives up the per-pupil cost. We have fewer young adults to invigorate the workforce and pay forward the costs of retirement and health care for older Vermonters.”
The Mass Exodux Myth

But VPR and VPBS think that comparatively tiny group speaks for the older folks — gun-toting hippies — who greatly outnumber them.

So when you hear that “95% of Americans want to a$$-rape the Constitution,” remember that it really means “95% of millenials who probably aren’t going to vote, and think the Army carries semi-auto AR-15s, believe bump-fire stocks are machineguns, and expect blackmarket arms dealers to conduct universal background checks, want to bend you over the table and have their way with you. Without vaseline.”

* That’s because I don’t answer calls with blocked caller ID, or unrecognized numbers. If Pew, Gallup, or whoever wants to poll me, their caller ID should say Pew, Gallup, or whoever. And the last few poll calls I did take (years ago) turned out to be push polls, and I hung up on them.

Why even watch the video?

I ran across this story: Former CDC Doc: You Can Reduce Gun Deaths Without Restricting Guns. I was going to watch the video, but after reading the intro..

Why bother?

“More people die from gun deaths than from car accidents every year in the United States.”

Not according to the CDC’s WISQARS.

Year MVA Firearms
2016 40,528 38,658
2015 38,022 36,252
2014 35,647 33,594
2013 35,612 33,636
2012 36,654 33,563

“However, while research-based policies have reduced motor vehicle deaths, federal research on firearm deaths is nearly non-existent.”

“Nearly” is such a useful term when you want to lie without… quite lying. The federal government does fund research into firearms-related deaths. It’s difficult to find a summary of such funding, but from checking individual papers (just where the funding is explicitly listed) it appears that the feds fund it to the tune of several hundred thousands of dollar per year. At least.

“That’s due to the Dickey Amendment, which says Centers for Disease Control funding cannot be used to promote gun control.”

The Dickey Amendment only addressed CDC operations, because it was caught diverting research funds to gun control advocacy; i.e.- they weren’t researching. Other organizations like the NIH have been free to study firearms, and do.

“Soledad O’Brien sits down with Dr. Mark Rosenberg, who formerly oversaw gun violence research at the CDC”

In fact, Rosenberg was the victim-disarming gun control promoter at the CDC who caused the passage of the Dickey Amendment, largely with this statement: “We need to revolutionize the way we look at guns, like we did with cigarettes. Now it [sic] is dirty, deadly and banned.”

That’s right; he’s the one who was diverting money away from real research, and to — very likely illegal — political activism.

I did try to watch the video, though. And stopped when O’Brien flat out stated that the Dickey Amendment was passed to stop research.

Don’t bother; it’s just biased media lying to push its agenda again. Still. Constantly.

Remember that “First Freedom Television” scam?

Toldja so.

Back in February, The Zelman Partisans tried to spread the word about that outfit. They suckered the Virginia Citizens Defense League’s Philip Van Cleave into an “interview” which left him so uncomfortable and suspicious that he tried to warn the world. I saw that, and looked into FFT and figured it for a scam.

Another group was contacted by FFT and shared the warning.

Since much of “First Freedom’s” message involved Israel, I sent a warning to TZP leadership, thinking we might be a likely target (if FFT even heard of us).

Other individuals and groups tried to spread the word. Apparently to little avail.

And why do I bring this up now, months later?

Perhaps you’ve about actor Sacha Baron Cohen’s “documentary series” in which he suckered folks like former VP Dick Cheney (autographed a waterboarding kit), Senate candidate Roy Moore, and former AK gov Sarah Palin (met a fake disabled vet).

And then there was Utah gun rights activist Janalee Tobias. That article finally mentioned something I hadn’t seen anywhere else. Maybe I just missed it.

Tobias said she was approached via email by “First Freedom Television” to take part in a docuseries exploring shared security interests of Israel and the United States.

Yes, we now know who was behind the scam. The scam which we warned of six months ago. If only they’d been paying attention. Perhaps Sarah Palin should subscribe to the TZP newsletter.

Perhaps you should as well, if you’re not already.

The Thunder Rolls

A few years ago Garth Brooks did a song called The Thunder Rolls, the song opens with the sound of rumbling thunder. Actually a lot like what I’ve been hearing lately. And I don’t just mean the weather, I mean the nation.

Crap. What could go wrong.

So, a couple of questions. Maxine Waters is now concerned about children and, G-d in on their side? Since when does the rabid left care about G-d, and I’d be interested to see Maxine’s voting record on a couple of funding issues. I’d also point out while Maxine is in full bray about children being separated from their parents in detention centers that under George Bush there were family detention centers. The left did away with them. Brandon Darby has been covering this issue for a long time. A nine minute video worth watching. You’ll possibly learn some interesting things. I know I did. For the left the answer is let everyone in, open borders. Doing the jobs fewer Americans are willing to do, namely vote Demoncrat.

https://www.crtv.com/video/ep-192–why-didnt-liberals-care-about-kids-at-the-border-under-obamas-watch–white-house-brief

Pro-tip: When you hear the media obsessing about something, and Rachel Madcow or some of them sobbing hysterically, that’s a good time to really pay close attention to some more conservative news outlets, because there is more than likely a good reason for the full throated bray coming from the liberal mouth, and it’s usually distraction from something rather important. Media Turning Trump Voters into Public Enemy No. 1

Unreliable Sources

What mad Maxine is referring to is an incident that took place recently, actually more than one.

Twice in the past week, activists have posted information on employees of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the agency that carried out Trump’s policy that required children to be separated from their parents who were arrested for crossing the U.S. border illegally. Amid national bipartisan outrage, Trump abruptly reversed course last week.

…..

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielson was met with protesters when she dined at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, DC, last week, as was Stephen Miller, a senior adviser to Trump on immigration policy and architect of the “zero tolerance” policy that led to the family separations, at another Mexican restaurant.

…..

And on Friday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant in rural Lexingron, Va., because the staff and owners disagreed with Trump’s policies.

Actually, based on President Trump’s tweet about the incident, she and her family probably got off lucky.

The Red Hen Restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 25, 2018

In this case, I suspect he’s right because it seems the restaurant is far more concerned with virtue signaling and social justice than customer service, proper sweet tea, biscuits and black-eyed peas. Doubt me?

Wilkinson told the Washington Post that some of her LGBT employees were apparently triggered by the presence of a Trump administration official and suffered massive microaggressions.

…..

The Post reported that staffers “knew Sanders had defended Trump’s desire to bar transgender people from the military.”

Wilkinson said she gave staff members the final decision on whether or not to kick out the Sanders family.

“They said, yes,” she told the newspaper.

Wilkinson had been summoned to the restaurant by frightened staff members unsure of how to handle the situation.

I’m reading this and thinking you’ve got to be kidding. Did she throw a roll at them? Whack them with a dirty spoon? What? Unsure how to handle the situation? Did NO ONE train these people how to be waiters and waitresses? Hi, I’m Jenny, may I take your order? How’s about handling it like that? Summoned by frightened staffers, suffered massive microaggressions and I truly doubt in my deepest of occasionally present heart that any of her staffers had any plans of military enlistment, so I’m not sure at all how that figures in. But with all that trauma to the staff just by one middle age woman and her family eating there, when you think they even have time to care about clean tables, silver or floors? Let alone a clean kitchen. But did the fun stop there? Nope.

After they had been kicked out, Sanders and her husband left. However, the remainder of the party decided to eat at a restaurant across the street. That’s when Huckabee said the trouble continued.

“The owner of the Red Hen – who had just thrown Sarah out – organized a group of people to yell and scream at them at another restaurant,” he said.

The De-evolution of Civility and Manners

And to the left, this kind of behavior is not only acceptable, it’s encouraged.

And, there are those willing to rise to the challenge. Up next: 1970s-style bombings, warns progressive

Elaine Chao, wife of Mitch McConnell recently defended her husband from protesters who surrounded their vehicle and obviously hadn’t seen Brandon Darby’s video or they would have shut the heck up.

And then there’s this, Increasing threats to Homeland Security include burned animal carcass left on staffer’s porch. These are some seriously disturbed individuals.

The Politico’s take on it is typical left wing slant, to me. The left loses its cool but they did mention this incident.

Florida GOP Attorney General Pam Bondi required a police escort away from a movie about Mister Rogers after activists yelled at her in Tampa — where two other Republican lawmakers say they were also politically harassed last week, one of them with her kids in tow.

…..

According to Bondi, she and a friend were confronted at least four times — while buying tickets, entering the theater, standing in line at the concession stand and then on their way out — and that activists were aggressive in each instance, with one yelling so loudly at her that he spit in her hair, either unintentionally or because he meant to expectorate on her. She said they also taunted her friend as “blue eyes” and asked him in a threatening manner if he was going to protect her, as though they wanted to fight.

Shocking isn’t it? Thought they were concerned about women and their children? But here is how The Politico excuses and equates it.

Few disagree that Democrats are marching, protesting and confronting Republican officials with more intensity during the midterm elections than at any time in decades. The progressive fervor recalls conservative opposition to the previous president in his first midterm, when Democratic members of Congress were left running from disruptive town halls and ended up being crushed at the polls in November.

Shall I point out the difference in a politician at a political event like a townhall being called to account for their votes vs a government employee out to dinner with their family or a movie? I guess I should since The Politico sees no difference. Well, there is, it’s more of the later harassment that the left left by crazy Maxine is fomenting.

And where will this all lead? Trump aides urged to get a gun. Considering it is the left that is usually responsible for the majority of the attacks, it’s probably a good idea. It’s been about a year since Bernie supporter “Bucket-o-chum” shot Rep. Steve Scalise. I rather guess it will only be a matter of time before one of these mobs that loony Maxine is encouraging gets out of hand and violent. I mean just look at the rioting and arson we had with antifa and resist and and and. It should be no surprise, it’s where they go with this. Normal sane humans have no desire or intention to be targets or see their family beat up by nutty Maxine’s rent-a-thugs. They will plan and try their best to be prepared. Some politicians of course have paid security, or government provided security. But regular people, just going to work, doing their job, raising their family? We’re on our own.

I recently saw a new book has been released by Stephen P. Halbrook. Gun Control in Nazi-Occupied France. Stephen also recently did a column on Townhall on this very subject. Time for a History Lesson About Gun Control

Purportedly to fight violence in the streets, Germany’s Weimar Republic decreed gun registration in 1931, but warned that the records must not fall into the hands of radical elements. Hitler seized power in 1933 and used those very records to disarm political opponents and Jews in order to render them incapable of any form of resistance.

Political protest in France prompted Prime Minister Pierre Laval in 1935 to decree firearm registration and repression of the right to assemble. What could possibly go wrong?

The registration records were critical to the Nazis who overran France in 1940, imposed the death penalty for not turning in guns, and conscripted the French police to ferret out violators. Despite the chance of being executed, numerous French citizens did not surrender their firearms.

Today I figure that number of brave French could be as high as 3. Back then, 20-50. Perhaps I’m still cranky about the number of collaborators.

Today the nazis would have help in the shape of the UN, lead by Antonio Guterres.

Small arms control is a prerequisite for stability and conflict prevention, which is critical to achieve the mutually reinforcing goals of sustaining peace and sustainable development.

Only through sustainable development will we be able to build just, peaceful and inclusive societies and to achieve lasting peace.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is our agreed roadmap for building peaceful, resilient and prosperous societies on a healthy planet. Among the 17 Goals, there is a specific target to reduce arms flows, based on improving the tracing of weapons.

….

When the UN says they have to use “grassroots organizations” they’re meaning gun control groups, like Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action. They’re utilizing Americans to fulfill their desire to push gun control. Their reason? It looks better if Americans are demanding we abolish the Second Amendment instead of other countries tying to pressure us.

The United Nations can’t say Agenda 2030 — their plan for global peace — is successful if Americans are still armed and if the Second Amendment still exists. They have to completely get rid of armed citizens in America and the way to go about that is using our peers against us.

It’s almost like fruity Maxine and her willing useful idiots are trying to foment a situation where more people will be willing to call for gun control. They are not realizing like the little money Hogg, they are being used as political pawns. Although since money Hogg now has armed guards, maybe he just figures he’ll be one of the elites. But when discussing the UN and guns, it’s always necessary to remember as far as the UN is concerned, There is no human right to self-defense.

And this will be ugly, very very ugly. It’s as though the UN and the liberal leftists in America and Israel are working together. I’m sure they have for ages, but it’s getting pretty open now. If psycho Maxine is going to be leading hunts and attacks against conservatives, I’m sure it’s easier if you ensure they are defenseless first.

I’m far from the only columnist that’s hearing thunder rolling. Kurt Schlichter has an excellent column, Liberals’ Hatred Will Inevitably Turn Into Violence

But there’s no sign of sanity. This week they turned the hate up to “11,” then cranked it to “17.” There are not many places to go once you reach “You are real live Nazis murdering children by not letting aspiring Democrat voters flow into the country at will!” At some point, instead of a few wild-eyed randos with crummy aim trying to off libs’ political/cultural opponents, they are going to start collectively going to go for the throat.

Our collective throat. Which I do not anticipate us Normals responding to in a huggy, loving kind of way.

The whole column is good, really good. There is a reason the progressives are trying so hard to de-humanize conservatives and some Republicans.

In the meantime, I’m feeling microaggressed, or whatever. I think I should go tear down a statue and make myself feel better.

THIS is an offensive statue that should come down.
