It’s Veteran’s Day, and I recently saw this video and it just nailed me. It broke my heart. That this can be happening in America is a shame, and I mean that literally and an outrage. The fact that there are around 7,000 foreign invaders headed for our southern border and that we should even entertain the thought of allowing any of them in, and giving them any kind of social services or benefits is a disgrace. And to the “do-good” helping hand out private social groups that would help the invaders but are not helping our Veterans first? You are a sham, you are a sham and a fraud.
Someone made the comment to me recently about people not wanting the caravan in the country because they look different than we do. What utter B___ S___. חרה to put it plainly.
I’m not a man, yet I would imagine the vast majority of the veterans in need of help are men. I’m not a black, or a Mexican, and only a little Native American, nor am I Asian. But we have homeless veterans that are, and I can promise you, I care far more about them than I do any illegal invader. No matter how pathetic CNN (#FakeNews) makes them look. We owe our veterans. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their service, and we owe them far more help than they are getting.
With the Demoncratic win in the house, I do not expect to see things improve for them at all.
At the end of the video there is quite a list of agencies should you choose to check them out. I reached out to a friend for some solid leads, and that’s what these are.
These are the statistics given in the video. Just in case you get caught up in the story and don’t absorb them, here they are to read over.
300,000 Veterans sleeping homeless on the streets, and rising.
Over 1.4 million are at risk of becoming homeless.
More than 67% of homeless Veterans served our country for at least 3 years.
Divorce rate among military couples has increased 42%.
An estimated 460,000 veterans suffer from PTSD.
Homeless veterans spend an average of 6 years on the streets.
The veterans administration has resources to serve only a fraction of our veterans.
Nearly 5000 veterans die by their own hands every year.
This is a large part of the list given at the end of the video, if I linked it, the link is active at the time of writing. Some in the video aren’t, and this is not the full list, but it’s a bunch of them.
For those of you who have served in the military, you are heroes. You are my hero, I don’t care if you peeled potatoes or washed sheets. Your families are heroes, because they served in their way right along side of you. You put aside your own life to serve our country, no matter your circumstance in life now, I ask G-d to bless you and your family, and bless ya’ll richly.
I get a weekly newsletter from Rabbi Johnathan Sacks called Covenant and Conversation, this week’s edition is about The Courage of Persistence. It’s always about the Parashat for the week. This week is Toldot. In this newsletter he talks about anti-semitic attacks in the Parashat. When the Philistines filled in the wells of Avraham for example. But a lot of it talks about the dichotomy of antisemitism.
As he points out in Amy Chau’s book World on Fire
Her thesis is that any conspicuously successful minority will attract envy that may deepen into hate and provoke violence. All three conditions are essential. The hated group must be conspicuous, for otherwise it would not be singled out. It must be successful, for otherwise it would not be envied. And it must be a minority, for otherwise it would not be attacked.
He further points out: Hostility to Jews becomes dangerous, she argued, not when Jews are strong, but when they are weak. This is along the lines of what Moshe Feiglin said in his column after the Synagogue shooting in Squirrel Hill.
But there is something more, deeper than the economic factor, which makes us partially responsible for what happened in Pittsburgh. Jewish history is being written today in the Land of Israel. It is clear to all of us that anti-Israel sentiments are the new expression of Anti-Semitism. When Israel is sure of itself, strikes its enemies as it did in the Six Day War, eliminates the hijackers as in Entebbe – the level of anti-Semitism decreases!!! And when Israel displays lack of self-assurance, temporariness, moral flaccidity – a feeling that we are not really on the map, that we are nothing more than colonialists acting only for the sake of self-defense, begging the Hamas for a cease-fire – then our enemies feel that they are just and anti-Semitism flourishes.
Rabbi Sacks continues on,
Antisemitism is a complex, protean phenomenon because antisemites must be able to hold together two beliefs that seem to contradict one another: Jews are so powerful that they should be feared, and at the same time so powerless that they can be attacked without fear.
It would seem that no one could be so irrational as to believe both of these things simultaneously. But emotions are not rational, despite the fact that they are often rationalised, for there is a world of difference between rationality and rationalisation (the attempt to give rational justification for irrational beliefs).
So, for example, in the twenty-first century we can find that (a) Western media are almost universally hostile to Israel, and (b) otherwise intelligent people claim that the media are controlled by Jews who support Israel: the same inner contradiction of perceived powerlessness and ascribed power.
He shows another way that the current situation in Gaza where the peaceful Falestinians so love the land of Israel and long to return to it that they are bombing, setting fire and trying to destroy it.
There is a second aspect of our passage that has had reverberations through the centuries: the self-destructive nature of hate. The Philistines did not ask Isaac to share his water with them. They did not ask him to teach them how he (and his father) had discovered a source of water that they – residents of the place – had not. They did not even simply ask him to move on. They “stopped up” the wells, “filling them with earth.” This act harmed them more than it harmed Isaac. It robbed them of a resource that would, in any case, have become theirs, once the famine had ended and Isaac had returned home.
But in the wake of the shooting at Squirrel Hill, I’ve been hopeful. Why? Because some are beginning to see that self-defense, and defense of others is necessary and right.
This last sentence is sometimes translated as “If someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.”
This final sentence does not delegate discretion; it is a positive command. A Jew has a duty to use deadly force to defend herself against murderous attack.
Emphasis mine. It is our duty and a positive mitzvah to defend ourselves!
Returning to something in Rabbi Sack’s newsletter, “Jews are so powerful that they should be feared, and at the same time so powerless that they can be attacked without fear.”
Then there is CAMP JABOTINSKY, they seem to have been around awhile. Just an FYI, my baby Shimshon’s middle name is Zev, after Zev Jabotinsky. It’s fitting, it means “Wolf”.
This made me a little sad, as did this comment at the end of the article.
“I think he absolutely is generous in what he wants to do,” Ader said. “I think he wants to help and is very well intentioned. It just isn’t for us.”
Arming people, Ader told the TV station, “is a preventative measure, it is not part of the solution at all. The solution is civil discourse.”
I absolutely know he is entitled to his own opinion, but I don’t think he realizes yet that there are people out there that want to kill you, your congregation and there is not one thing civil or un that you are going to say to them to have a dialogue.
Ahh, yes. These times they are a changing. It doesn’t matter how you want to dress that pig up.
Anti-Zionism IS Anti-Semitism
It’s still anti-semitism, it goes way back, it is unreasoning and it’s lethal. It is also much, much harder to implement if the target of your irrational hatred is armed and realizes they have a duty to protect themselves, their families and their community.
A friend of mine asked me after the shooting, “Why didn’t someone shoot the man? Why didn’t they stop him”? I pointed out I didn’t know the gun laws in Pittsburgh, but I rather suspected that being big city on the east coast perhaps they have pretty strict gun control and they had been legislated out of their right to self-defense, and therefore, their right to live. This is what happens when you elect big government, people controlling leftists.
Perhaps the new members of the Second Amendment community will begin to understand a big part of the Second Amendment is fighting to keep it because there are most certainly those that prefer an unarmed populace.
Should I mention the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht is tonight?
זק“א is the abbreviation for Zihuy Korbanot Ason. זיהוי קרבנות אסון, literally: “Disaster Victim Identification”
And I’m very tired and sad to hear it, yet again. For those that don’t know, ZAKA is a volunteer group that comes to the scene of a terrorist attack or a car crash or any such tragedy and gathers the body parts, pieces and blood of the Jewish victims so that they may be buried in accordance with Halakha, Jewish law. They also help with search and rescue, but I think they are best known for working with law enforcement and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) units to ensure that the necessary things are done. ZAKA volunteers prefer the work be called חסד של אמת – “Grace of truth” because the kindness they are showing the dead can not be returned by them. I would translate it as “kindness of truth” myself.
And ZAKA was on the scene in Pittsburgh.
ZAKA was on the scene because a Bucket of Chum entered the Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill on Saturday and opened fire during a Shabbat service. Eleven people lay dead. An elderly Holocaust survivor survived a maniac yelling all Jews must die by being late to the service.
‘It just never ends. It’s never completely safe for Jews. It’s in the DNA. Not just America’s DNA but the world’s.’
He’s right it doesn’t. And with that in mind, doing what we’ve been doing isn’t getting us anywhere.
I’m not really sure why anyone is surprised at the attack. The signs have been there for ages, I know TZP has certainly covered them. But there is a problem, it’s like taking your modern college snowflake leftist out to the woods and dropping them off in the middle of the woods with their $tarbuck$ double non-fat soy whatever and telling them there is a 300 pound grizzly bear in the woods, track it, or avoid it. Read the signs and you’ll be fine.
The snowflake doesn’t think it needs to read signs, it will be non-threatening to the grizzly and just drink it’s latte and it will all be fine. Yeah? Ignore some signs at your own peril. That’s not how life works, it can be how death works though.
Following the attacks what did we hear from the left, both Jewish and Goyim (the standard Hebrew biblical term for a nation)? Mostly what we heard was condemnation of President Trump, the anti-Semite, for the people on the right as “haters”, climate of hate, etc, etc.
Glick noted the prevalence of anti-Zionism on the left and within the Democrat Party. Marlow said, “[There is] a mainstreaming of anti-Zionism in the Democratic Party.”
“There is a huge problem with the empowerment of anti-Semites,” said Glick. “You have several Democratic nominees for Congress who are running on openly anti-Zionists platforms. Anti-Zionism is out-and-out anti-Semitism. It calls for the annihilation of the largest Jewish community on Earth, in Israel. … [Trump] is the most supportive president Israel has ever had, [and] they’re calling him an anti-Semite?”
Glick added, “There’s an insanity that’s infected the discourse inside of the Jewish community that doesn’t allow people to understand what the real threats are. Rather than deal with that, these radicals are making up stories. It does no service to the Jewish community in the United States to not pay attention [and] focus on actual anti-Semites who are actually involved in harming the position of Jews in American society, either politically or physically.”
….
Glick added, “A lot of people on the left in the Jewish community who are not seeing their interests because they’re blinded by ideology. Obviously, when you have congregants in a synagogue that are armed and capable of defending themselves and their fellow worshipers, you’re much safer than you would be with an alarm system or anything else in the face of somebody coming in and trying to massacre you.”
Glick observed, “People in general, in Israel, are better armed [than in America]. We have armed guards outside of every school. … It’s not considered to be a big deal. … This is just common sense.”
Glick concluded, “If you’re under threat, then you have to protect yourself. … It’s about life and death, and when you just concentrate on the fundamentals of the value of life and preserving the most precious thing in the world which is human life, then you come up with pragmatic ways of protecting it.”
So I respond: Don’t you dare insult me as a rabbi by blaming your perceived political enemies for some dirtbag Jew-hater. This President could not be a better friend of Jewish concerns and causes. He supports Israel and moved America’s Israel embassy to Jerusalem. His daughter and son-in-law are Orthodox Jews, and he treats them lovingly and respectfully, as he does their Orthodox Jewish children, his grandchildren. He ended Obama’s vicious anti-Israel animus, and he has supported Israel strongly in the United Nations. No wonder that Jews throughout the world love him, support him. In Israel, among Israeli Jews, he is wildly popular with a 67% approval rating. They hated Obama — and for great reason.
Some have become so caught up in the media lies and propaganda they can no longer see the truth of who is their enemy and who is their friend. They call what is good bad, and what is bad, good. The left wing of Judaism appears to me, to be more concerned with the worship of liberalism than Torah. Well, what do you call it when Jews daven Kaddish for the arabs that tried to infiltrate Israel from Gaza with the openly expressed purpose of ripping Jewish hearts from their chests? When they burn the land and shoot rockets into schools and homes? When they openly state they want to kill the Jews, and Jews in the diaspora daven Kaddish.
Jewish lives need to matter to Jews everywhere. Moshe Feiglin did a column on the massacre in Squirrel Hill.
At a political event in Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn asked for a moment of silence for the victims. That lasted a few seconds when leftists interrupted heckling the Representative. Wow.
The world is not worried about Jews being attacked, and the left is not our friend, and has not been for a long time. These are a couple of the observations that showed up on a Zehut list I’m fortunate enough to belong to.
Whatever happens to Israel happens to the rest of the world! A world that insists Israel not fight back, that insists Israel make peace with murderous infiltrators who came across our borders as economic immigrants who slaughter us at will at our Shabbat tables and our infants in our cribs. Who curse us with the worst kind of racist invective if we don’t allow violent, Jew hating infiltrators into our communities. What happens to us will happen to you– mida kneged mida. I’m not hating I’m explaining how justice works. This is not just aimed at Pennsylvania. This is aimed at the world. What happens here will happen there. Just ask Germany, France and the UK. Remember Genesis 12:3..Those who bless Israel are blessed, and those who curse Israel are cursed. If only you feared G*d you’d know it’s true.
And
My wife was pointing out how silent social media has been since yesterday’s attack. No viral hashtags of solidarity. No “je suis juif”. No black armbands worn by team athletes in national leagues (which they wear for the smallest of thing, find an excuse almost weekly). But spilled Jewish blood is not worthy of sympathy. It’s not notesworthy, and it’s to be expected. I’m sure there’s millions of people that, underneath their mask of politically correct niceties are pretty happy about this. What I keep wondering is: if I had lived in Austria in the early 30s, and had known what was coming, what kind of a life would I live? What choices would I make for myself and my family? This is a sobering moment. Jews have always been and will always be alone. We may buy our way to the top of the pyramid in gentile society (like Yosef also did) but sooner or later the weight of the entire pyramid is unleashed against us. Jews are the one single “other” capable to unite in hatred Islamic Jihadists, crazy SJWs and white supremacists.
The signs of danger are not what the media and those on the left say they are. The signs of growing anti-Semitism are the plethora of BDS and Free Falestine groups that abound on college campuses. They are professors refusing to write letters of recommendation for students that want to study in Israel, and they get by with it more than once. They are the embracing of Farafreak who compares Jews to termites with no denouncement. What? The View went full out nuts over that statement? No. They are the constant attacks on Israel in the U.N. The signs may be called “Anti-Zionism” or “Anti-Israel” as they call the only democratic state in the middle east an “apartheid” state, but it is anti-Semitism and that’s all it is. The same dirty thing recycled with a new brand label. It’s Jew hatred, period.
Below is a list of columns I’ve done for TZP and a general idea of what they dealt with.
We’ve been showing the warning signs for what they are. As I said, I’m not really all that surprised. People may not think President Trump condemned it in a way to suit them, but radio host Mark Levin called it the strongest condemnation of anti-Semitism by any president, ever.
I have never made any secret of the fact I greatly admire Judah Maccabee, and from the book of The Maccabees
Ch. 2 ; Ver. 39-49 ^ First Book
Victory of Now when Mattathias and his friends understood hereof, they mourned for them right sore. And one Mattathias of them said to another, If we all do as our brethren have done, and fight not for our lives and laws against the heathen, they will now quickly root us out of the earth. At that time therefore they decreed, saying. Whosoever shall come to make battle with us on the sabbath day, we will fight against him ; neither will we die all, as our brethren lo that were murdered in the secret places.
10And it was from that day on, half of my youths did work and half of them held spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail, and the rulers were behind the entire House of Judah.
11The builders of the wall and the carriers of the loads were loading, with one hand doing the work and one holding the sword.
12And the builders, each one with his sword bound to his waist, and [they were] building, and the one who sounded the shofar was beside me.
There have absolutely been times in our history when our wise leaders knew we needed to be armed, ready and willing to defend our lives, even on Shabbat.
If G-d forbid there is more to come – that hired guard standing in front of shul will be the first victim of an anti-Semitic gunman, guaranteeing another synagogue massacre
If a taboo was broken on Saturday and American synagogues are going to become magnets for violent anti-Semites, then American Jews will have to protect themselves.
We saw in Pittsburgh that it is not possible to save Jewish lives by waiting for the police to come and do so. For within minutes on Saturday, 11 Jews had been shot down and killed by a single gunman.
As we have heard since the massacre, the response among many Jews will be to hire armed guards to stand in front of synagogue buildings.
However, if an anti-Semite plans an attack on a synagogue, the first bullet must be for that bored and surprised guard standing by the front door.
We can choose how we stand
And that is exactly how it played out in the Kirkwood city hall massacre in 2008. The police were easily identified. The predator know they need to remove the sheepdog before they can kill the sheep. It is why concealed carry is effective. If you don’t know if people are armed, and you don’t know who is armed it sure changes the game.
A gunman went on a shooting rampage at a public meeting in the city hall, leaving six people dead and two others injured. Bucket O’Chum, 52, shot one police officer with a revolver across the side street from city hall and took the officer’s handgun before entering city hall. Bucket O’Chum reached council chambers with these two pistols shortly after the meeting began. There, he shot a police officer, the public works director, two council members, the mayor, and a reporter. In total, the gunman killed five and wounded two others; one of the two wounded victims, the mayor, later died. The gunman was then shot and killed by police
The answer is for us to be armed. If someone wants to walk into our Shul, and try to open up the response needs to be more like the bar scene from Code of Silence. Minus the language.
But I will leave you with thoughts from Rabbi Zev Weinberg. I’ve been fortunate enough to take a class from the Rabbi that I owe much to, and very much admire. There is much wisdom in what he has to share.
We Deserve Better
How insightful was he, that he really understood an essential truth about the government. Despite continuous calls for sensible gun control and mental health care, our elected leaders in Washington knew that it would fade away in time. Unless there is a dramatic turnaround in the mid-term elections, I fear that that the status quo will remain unchanged, and school shootings will resume. I shouldn’t have to include in my daily morning prayers that God should watch over my wife and daughter, both teachers, and keep them safe. Where are our leaders?
Where are our teachers?
Who is that calling for more victim disarmament? Rabbi Jeffrey Myers… of the Tree of Life Synagogue. Their teacher.
It sounds nice. In theory, it is; though the concept has been corrupted. But, as a technician with decades of life experience, I can offer an improvement on the concept.
Fixing problems is good. It’s necessary from time to time. But I learned a long time ago that a little basic maintenance prevents the need for a lot of repairs.
Since gun-controlling victim disarmers often resort to a cars:guns analogy, let me preempt that.
In calling for gun control to fix the problem of violent crime, Rabbi Myers does the equivalent of “fixing” the problem of flat tires by encouraging everyone to remove them from their vehicles. True, one won’t have much of a flat-and-I-left-the-jack-in-the-garage problem, but you still aren’t going anywhere.
And you’re left at the mercy of those who didn’t give up their tires. With luck, you’ll only encounter good-spirited types who’ll offer you — stranded at the side of the road — a ride.
Or you might meet with those who’ll extort you for a ride, or worse.
Did Rabbi Myers teach his people to “fix” violence by ridding themselves of the tools to deal with it? Did he point out that evil bastards, who’d happily reenact the Shoah, still exist and aren’t surrendering their weapons?
Trump kept saying in his chat with reporters that if there was an armed guard inside the synagogue that the “numbers” would have been a lot lower . The fact is if there was no guns at all , there wouldn’t have been a shooter in the first place. Get a grip
Get a grip on reality, Horan. Guns exist. Anti-semitic lunatics exist. For that matter, Knife-wieldinglunatics exist, as well bombers.
Armed defenders should have existed.
There would be a lot less grief, rage, pain, and fear to “repair” if someone had done some preventive maintenance.
Any rational person should understand the value of preemptive protection — preventive maintenance, but Jews have thousands of years of experience from which they should have learned.
Teach, rabbis.

On the morning of 18th November 2014, two POS*ifrom Jerusalem entered a synagogue, in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem, Israel, and attacked the praying congregants with axes, knives, and a gun. They killed four worshipers, critically wounded a responding Druze Israeli police officer, who later died of his wounds. They also injured seven male worshipers, one of whom never woke up from a coma and died 11 months later. The two POS were then shot dead by the police.
And all Israel mourned.
In January of 2016 a POS stabbed 38 year old Dafna Meir to death in front of some of her children. Dafna, a small woman worked as a nurse at Soroka Medical Center in my beloved Be’er Sheva. She fought with him to keep him from killing her children. Dafna lived in Otniel, a town in Judea. She feared for those who worked on the emergency squads, usually volunteers.
And, she said, she feared for emergency medical crews from Otniel who rush out to help those who are hurt nearby.
“Maybe there are traps” waiting for the rescue teams, she worries. “It’s frightening! And when they go out, in the first minutes before they arrive, maybe they have time to think, ‘Who will I meet this time? Maybe a neighbor, a friend, a wife?’ That’s the horrible reality.”
As it turns out, the terrorist was employed in Otniel, he just walked right in the front gate. People that had been good to the POS and given him a job, let a terrorist in to kill their neighbor.
And all Israel mourned.
On March 8th, 2016 a POS* from Qalqilya in Samaria stabbed 28 year old Taylor Force in my beloved Yafo, along with several others. Taylor died and several others were seriously wounded. The attack was stopped when the POS was shot and killed by police. In 2016 the US put forth the Taylor Force act, and it was signed into law on 23rd March of this year by President Trump. The law is simple, the Taylor Force Act would cut U.S. funding to the Falestinian Authority until it ends its policy which distributes $300 million to terrorists and their families annually.
A recent report found that more than half of the PA’s yearly budget goes to terrorists, with more than $1 billion having been dedicated for such purposes in the last four years alone.
Despite pressure to end the policy of paying the families of terrorists who murdered Jews, PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas reportedly told the United States last month that he has no intention of doing so.
“I do not intend to cease paying salaries to the families of prisoners and martyrs, even if it means I lose my position. I will continue paying their salaries until my dying day,” he said.
That can’t come soon enough. That is money that is suppose to be helping the “poor suffering falestinians”, it never has.
Many Israelis expressed their sorrow and condolences to the Force family.
And all Israel mourned.
On the 21st of June 2017 a POS broke into a home in N’vei Tzuf and butchered 3 people. The family had gathered to celebrate Shabbat and the birth of a new grandchild. A neighbor in the IDF was home on leave and shot the terrorist, who did not die. He will now be supported by Israeli taxpayers in an Israeli jail where he can gain weight like Shirley Temper and go to school.
For a list of recent murders and how much the murderer gets paid, you can look here
For a good article on the history of the land ownership, since that is the excuse given.
“The only way to curb the ongoing terror threat facing Israel is by creating true deterrence that will convince potential terrorists that they have more to lose than to gain. Therefore, it is necessary to implement the death penalty for convicted terrorists, facilitate the expulsion of their families to Gaza and greenlight home demolitions.”
It was a horrific and bloody attack.
And all Israel mourned.
This is only a tiny fraction of the atrocities. Sunday when I was at work I got a message that Ari Fuld had been killed. Ari Fuld was a lion, yes, that was a play on his name, meaning lion.
Ari moved to Israel in the 90s. He served in the IDF in the Golani Infantry Brigade. He had a miraculous story from his time in the service. He spoke out tirelessly for Israel and the truth. He broadcast live on Facebook during the forced evacuation of Netiv Ha’avot, he debated liberals on ILTV, he had a radio show on Israel Newtalk Radio. Podcasts of Bulletproof available here. He had a YouTube channel, he was involved in Standing Together which supported the IDF soldiers, Ari’s latest project was Cool-A-Chayal providing cooling collars for the soldiers who often worked in 100 degree or more heat. He was active on Facebook, Twitter and MeWe. He was put in Facebook jail a few times, which is when he went to MeWe. I know this, because we talked about it.
I first became aware of Ari when I saw him on ILTV and he literally kicked butt and took names. He just smoked the liberals. I found him on Twitter, read through some of his tweets and sent him a message that he had done a fantastic job, and where I had seen him. Probably one of thousands of messages he got like that. I listened to Ari’s views of ILTV and his YouTube Channel, read him on Twitter and sometimes Facebook, but he was starting his own website in English because Facebook was too censoring. Note how he has to write muslims. Facebook has a real aversion to the truth. And Ari told the truth, bluntly without political correctness, straight up. I tried more than once to get him to join Zehut, his views certainly lined up with ours. In fairness of disclosure I am a card carrying member of Zehut. Zehut actually has a workable win-win plan to deal with the Falestinians in Israel. Where are they going to go? I wish it had been implemented 5 years ago. Or in 1948, or 1929, or. Any of those would have been good with me.
But Ari was famous for his man on the street conversations.
You didn’t get one by on Ari, he knew his facts.
On Sunday 16th of September 2018 Ari went to the market to do some shopping for his wife Miriam. The 45 year old Ari and Miriam had 4 children. He was at a shopping center that had a mix of arab and Israeli shoppers. A 17 year old POS from Yatta had been inspired by Abu Mazen. Abu Mazen’s latest lies. From an article I found on Elder of Ziyon, which originated at The Gatestone Institute,
In a speech before the PLO Executive Committee in Ramallah on September 15, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas repeated the old libel that Israel was planning to establish special Jewish prayer zones inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Abbas claimed that Israel was seeking to copy the example of the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron, where Jews and Muslims pray in different sections.
Abbas did not say what his lie was based on. He also did not provide any evidence of Israel’s ostensible plot against the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He said, nevertheless, that the Palestinians, together with Jordan, were planning to bring this issue before the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice.
I don’t know of one Jew that wants to go to the Alka Seltzer mollusk. I however, would like to go pray on Har HaBayet, Temple Mount but I can’t because I’m not muslim. How messed up is that? But the Falestinians are so stupid, they keep falling for the lies over and over and go forth to wreck lives based on Abu Mazen’s (sponsor of the Munich massacre) lies.
So the 17 year old POS set out with a knife. He bravely stood behind Ari in line at the shopping center and then stabbed him in the back. Being a brave arab and all, that brings him great acclaim. Hamass openly praises murder of Ari Fuld Apparently what passes for “bravery” in some arab circles has a very low bar.
Haaretz cited a source close to the Jabarin family as saying that the teen informed his parents that he planned to carry out an attack at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron. He was not found near the tomb, and then carried out the attack near Efrat.
Other sources say the FA says the parents reported nothing.
Ari drew his pistol, gave chase, jumped over a stone wall and with another armed bystander shot the POS who has been taken to an Israeli hospital to be treated at Israeli taxpayer expense. Ari was taken to a hospital as well, where he was pronounced dead.
An employee of a West Bank falafel shop said the Palestinian teen who stabbed Ari Fuld was running at her brandishing his knife when Fuld shot him.
…..
She said that after the teen stabbed Fuld, he began running toward her brandishing the knife. Peretz said she started running away from him shouting terrorist.
…..
I started running down the stairs but [Jabarin] jumped to try to get in front of me. The man that was killed really saved my life, she said of Fuld. He s not just a hero. He gave his life for me.
Captured by surveillance cameras, which did nothing to stop the attack, or apprehend POS. Ari is in the blue shirt. Just by the by? The woman he saved is Falestinian.
This good brave decent man is dead because of lies told to arabs, because of a culture that celebrates the death of such good men. A 17 year old POS educated with UNRWA hate filled text books, a culture of hatred and a diet of lies.
I mourn, I respected an admired Ari. He fought and didn’t back down, he knew his stuff and worked tirelessly around the world to help Israel, as well as his community and family.
Oh, you will hear on the media that the IDF will destroy the terrorists home. They won’t. They will destroy the terrorists room in the house, and the FA, Falestinian Authority will build a newer nice room, they will pay the POS money for the rest of his life, may it be short and unpleasant.
You know what? Enough. Enough with the mourning. I.AM.TIRED.OF.IT.
I don’t want a terrorist’s room destroyed. I don’t want foundations left, I want a smoking hole in the ground. I don’t want a POS in jail getting chubby and educated by the Israeli taxpayers. I want the death penalty. The POS was shot by Ari and a armed bystander. There shouldn’t be a moderately wounded terrorist. There should be a dead terrorist. I want Israel to lift ammunition restrictions and limits. The citizens need more ammo to practice. Get shot while committing a terrorist act in Israel? You won’t be getting treated in an Israel hospital from now on. The IDF will load you up in a Jeep and drop you off at a FA hospital or the Gaza border. They can treat your sorry self with their state of the art medical expertise. I want the terrorist’s whole family deported to Jordan, Iran, Syria, Iraq, I don’t care where, one of those should work well, and I want it done by next week. Israel was going to pay Uganda to take the illegal immigrants, fine. Pay Uganda 5 grand to take the whole miserable family. But remove them from Israel, follow the Zehut plan, send the family to Saudi Arabia. The terrorist won’t be going cause he’ll be dead because the death penalty will be reinstated. So, no FA money is going to reach anyone. The US has been cutting funding to the FA, and while many claim the money was going to “help” if you read the link about how much Abu Mazen pays the terrorists, I think it’s obvious that wasn’t happening. Gaza? Come on, that war could be finished in a day, if Israel would fight to win. Enough, just enough, too much. How many thousands of acres burned? How many families live in terror of the arabs getting through the security fence? It’s like some weird kind of Stockholm Syndrome or battered spouse mindset. No matter what they do to you, you accept their accusations against you and try to behave differently so they won’t find more fault with you. That isn’t going to happen. Nothing short of annihilation will suit them. “From the river to the sea”.
“All who are merciful to the cruel in the end become cruel to the merciful” (Qohelet Rabbah on 7:16, cf. Midrash Zuta; Tanḥuma, Mezora 1; Yalkut Shimoni, 1 Samuel, 121).
We’re there, we’ve done passed that marker. In the effort to be politically correct, to win the world and the U.N.’s acceptance and approval, or at least less condemnation, there is cruelty to the merciful. In this case Ari’s family. The terrorists really don’t fear what will happen to them, they’ll be in a comfy jail, eating and learning, they or their families will be raking in big bucks, and the FA and Hamass have no reason to change anything. There needs to be a reason to want to make peace and get along.
What laws have changed since the Har Nof massacre until Ari’s murder? None really. This isn’t working. America put forth the Taylor Force act, can Israel please come up with the Ari Fuld act? I’m tired of seeing “All Israel mourned” in the news.
Ari Fuld’s Parents door
A friend from Zehut sent this picture tonight of the front door of the Fuld home, thank you Aryeh.
This was Ari’s last video. It was on the Parsha from last week.
It’s short, as is the Parsha. In it he stops teaching at one point because his daughter is getting ready to go out and he stops to give her a blessing. But the topic is handing over the reins of leadership because Moshe couldn’t continue on with them. Poignant or what? So Ari has done amazing prep work, but now others must pick up the torch and carry on. In doing so, the 17 year old waste of oxygen may have killed his body, but Ari’s spirit and work will live on. I’m angry, I’m very angry. Mourning is not changing anything, it’s not stopping anything, they kill on, undeterred. We need to deter them.
Ari Fuld, HY”D, Hashem yinkom domo, השם ינקום דמו May G-d avenge his blood. And I, I mean everysingleword of that.
i* Piece of _____________You have multiple choices of words starting with “s” you may choose.
One of the daily devotional books I read had the topic of “When Good Men Do Nothing”, it’s short.
“Often injustice lies in what you aren’t doing, not only in what you are doing.”
—MARCUS AURELIUS, MEDITATIONS, 9.5
History abounds with evidence that humanity is capable of doing evil, not only actively but passively. In some of our most shameful moments—from slavery to the Holocaust to segregation to the murder of Kitty Genovese—guilt wasn’t limited to perpetrators but to ordinary citizens who, for a multitude of reasons, declined to get involved. It’s that old line: all evil needs to prevail is for good men to do nothing.
It’s not enough to just not do evil. You must also be a force for good in the world, as best you can.
The Kitty Genovese murder was horrific. The 28 year old had finished her shift at work as a bar manager and drove home in her red Fiat. She parked her car at the train station across from her Kew Gardens apartment building and started walking home. A 29 year old bucket of chum had followed her home. He was married with kids, had a job and had decided that day that he wanted to kill a woman because he preferred killing women because they were easier and didn’t fight back. He had been driving around about an hour looking for a victim. He began to chase her as she was walking across the street. He initially stabbed her twice but when a couple of people opened their windows in response to her screams and yelled at him he took off. Kitty staggered down the street trying to make it to her apartment. Some of the witnesses said they called the police and said a woman got beat up, but she was up and walking. It doesn’t matter, the police didn’t come. When said bucket of chum had sat in his car about ten minutes and didn’t hear police sirens he got out and went looking for her. He finally found her in the vestibule of her apartment building. He continued to stab her, stole her money and raped her.
Kitty was unable to continue to scream much as his first stab of the second attack was to her throat so she couldn’t scream. But she did make noise. About the only hero in the story is 4’11” Sophie Farrar who heard the commotion, yelled at someone to call the police and flew down the stairs to confront whatever. She held and comforted the dying Kitty. Total time of attacks was about half an hour.
Not much initially happened after the murder until a NY Slimes story came out and claimed 38 people had witnessed the murder and done nothing. And, it being the NY Slimes #FakeNews, the story was later de-bunked. But in typical NY Slimes #FakeNews fashion, they wanted to make news with a point about urban indifference. So, facts? Who needs ‘em. There were actually two men, who most likely saw it happening.
Joseph Fink was an assistant superintendent at the building across the street from Genovese’s. Stationed in the building’s lobby, he had a clear view of the first stabbing, and later told prosecutors that he “thought about going downstairs to get my baseball bat,” but took a nap instead. When asked by the prosecutor why he didn’t help, he shrugged. Another prosecutor later said, “It made me sick to my stomach dealing with this man.”
And the other? Karl Ross, a dog groomer and friend of Kitty’s.
As was his habit, Ross had been drinking the night of the murder. At 3:30 a.m., he heard a noise outside his window that sounded like a woman screaming.
“Skittish by nature, the groggy Ross wasn’t eager to find out what was happening,” Cook writes. “He stayed where he was. He waited, hoping the noises would stop. Soon they died down. He relaxed.”
But a few minutes later, a similar noise arose, this one closer, possibly “a scuffling” or “a muffled cry.”
“Ross stood by his door but didn’t open it,” Cook writes. “He paced behind it, wondering what he should do. At last his curiosity got the best of him. He opened the door a crack.”
What he saw was Genovese, his friend, “lying flat on her back . . . trying to speak” as Moseley continued stabbing her. Suddenly, Moseley stopped — and looked directly at Ross, who retreated into his apartment as quickly as possible.
Instead of calling the police, Ross wasted time calling other neighbors for advice, and they, for reasons unclear, then called others. It was a fatal game of telephone that wasted precious minutes, until Farrar finally yelled at Ross to call the police while she rushed to comfort the victim. Ross called at 3:55, too late to save Genovese’s life.
When the police questioned him about why he didn’t help, Ross inadvertently invented a phrase that would come to symbolize civic apathy, telling them, “I didn’t want to get involved.”
How…special.
But it did prompt some interesting psychology studies. The Bystander, or Kitty Genovese Effect.
Several psychologists were asked by the the Slimes writer how could someone attempt to kill another person in front of a large group of witnesses like that, and why would none of them get involved or attempt to help? None could answer. Albert Seedman, who was chief of detectives at the time got an answer for that from the psychopath.
‘I knew they wouldn’t do anything, people never do’
Seedman is a pretty interesting guy, at the time, he was the only Jewish officer ever to rise to that rank, and solved some pretty amazing crimes.
But it sounds like the more witnesses, the less likely you are to receive help. Then you add in groups that hate you for what you are. That has been made easy for them by the way they were raised, or their own beliefs. It seems another component is what others around them are doing.
What I’m thinking of now is a article I saw earlier about Austrian State May Require Jews to Register to Buy Kosher Meat I know, it’s Haaretz #FakeNews which is about as reliable as the NY Slimes #FakeNews. And it didn’t fly Austria rejects registering Jews for kosher meat the AFP of course said it was a “far right” party that wanted to implement it. AFP seems to be unaware that on the political spectrum “far right” is anarchy. Communists, socialists, nazis, demoncrats, progressives are are just different flavors of the same big government control poison. Anarchy is the opposite. But, it’s the AFP, so. It was claimed there was a need to do this from a animal welfare aspect. Interesting, because in one of Rabbi Tovia’s lectures he talked about having to work in a slaughter house. Yes, it was awful but what he learned was that killing the animal in a Kosher way, was less traumatic and painful for them then the way all the other animals were slaughtered.
I guess one way or another, there are ways of making people feel unwelcome, the approach they take depends on the direction politically they want to come at it.
It makes me think of all those “helpful” bits of advice we are given like don’t be in a bad neighborhood. Kew Gardens in the 60s was a safe, peaceful neighborhood. Don’t go places alone, Kitty was in a very populated area. She died while her friend watched her being stabbed to death. The police are only moments away. Yeahhh, well. And then there are those that want us to disarm while they hire armed bodyguards. No, just say no. Now there’s a platitude I could get behind.
But “I didn’t want to get involved” or “All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing”. The choice is always ours, but last saying “Prior and proper planning prevents p*** poor performance”. Yep, I’ll take that one, because I don’t want to be Kitty, and I choose to be a force for good in the world. Today bystanders not only don’t want to get involved, they are as likely to stand there and film it or stream it live. Evil may be succeeding, but the choice is still ours.
I’ve been reading a really good book lately. The Case for Judaism, it’s not a very large book and is quite readable. It covers several different topics, but the one that I’m thinking of right now is on laws, government, voting and freedom. How perspectives on what is right and what is wrong can change with time. America is a country founded on Judeo-Christian principles which came from the Torah given on Mt. Sinai, we just celebrated Chag Shavuot, the holiday that celebrates the giving on the Torah.
One topic in the book is about the role of Torah and another on Defining Morality. It points out that Torah, is a teaching book, not a history book. Torah is spelled תורה and teacher is spelled מורה thus they share the same root Torah and Morah or Moray depending on if its a female or male teacher. It’s laws for a society to have a decent civilization that can lead to peace, prosperity and fairness. The Torah hasn’t changed since it was given. My understanding may change as I learn more and study, but Torah doesn’t. G-d’s word stands solid.
Compare that to man’s laws. If we go only by those, in the section of Defining Morality, we can see that those change depending on who is ruling, or in charge at the time. What is evil or good, what is acceptable or unacceptable varies. Man (and woman) change their mind from time to time, chocolate bar or Hershey’s kisses? These are variable choices. While the author doesn’t get into the debate of abortion right or wrong, moral or immoral, he uses it to point out that sixty years ago it was considered immoral and wrong. Now it is considered wrong to take away a woman’s right to choose. A few thousand years ago throwing people to lions to be eaten alive in front of Roman crowds was a day of wholesome fun for the whole family, kids and all. Today unless we are talking about progressives and the media treating conservatives in such a manner, that sort of thing is frowned upon. The author suggests that man’s flip-flopping moral code is the result of man deciding what he wants and what is best for himself at that time. G-d’s law, is not changeable.
Do not kill.
Around 20th April this year, a 49 year old Grandmother, Anji Rhys, used a crossbow to defend her family. She’s being called Grandbo. Her hobby is shooting her crossbow in her garden. She feels it to be relaxing, and since Britain is basically one big gun-free (except for the criminals) zone, she liked the idea of having something for self-defense. A pack of machete wielding yobs kicked in their door and came at her and another resident demanding their stash of weed. I guess they thought you could explain to them they were at the wrong “joint”. Yeah, sorry. Since they are unable to have a gun to defend themselves, Anji originally grabbed the crossbow to keep them from getting and deploying the quarrel or bolt. She ended up discharging the 6 inch quarrel into one of the machete wielding intruders. But, I suppose you could hear it straight from her.
I guess you could say she used a quarrel to settle the quarrel. I know, that’s twice.
I found a couple of her statements to be rather frightening.
‘A crossbow is a one shot thing and then it’s useless. After that I tried to throw it through the window to raise an alarm but it got caught in the curtains like a goalie net.
Since there were 3 others, that would be pretty disconcerting for me. One shot and done? Yesh. The other kind of had me scratching my head.
‘I think all of us should have something you can strike back with. Not necessarily a weapon. I think the best defence is CCTV.
Huh? Say what? Do you….throw it at them??
The police do not yet have them in custody but they did let Anji keep her crossbow and told her well done, her family is all okay and her 82 year old Mom slept through it. This was around 20th April.
DEADLY assault rifle-style crossbows are available on high streets and online without any need for a licence or background checks. Today the Daily Express launches a crusade calling on the Government to crack down on the sale of the potentially lethal weapons which can be bought without having to give details of identity or a reason for their use.
We were able to visit a shop yards from one of Britain’s busiest city centre high streets and buy a high-velocity 175lb Panther crossbow which boasts the promise “Built for power”.
The terrifying weapon, bought in Leeds, is capable of hitting a target with its aluminium-pointed bolts at 500 yards.
Like many other brands it comes with a telescopic sight to make aiming easier and is designed to be as straightforward as possible to shoot.
Experts say they are more powerful than some air rifles that have to be licensed.
Ok, now this is my shocked face.
MPs have backed the Daily Express campaign and urged the Government to ban the deadly “sporting devices” saying there was “no reason” for them to be on sale to the general public.
Last week Rachael Maskell, 45, MP for York Central, penned a letter to the new home secretary Sajid Javid urging tough rules be introduced to stop their easy availability.
They were astonished, astonished I say to find that you could buy smaller versions of them as…..wait for it, toys. History of the crossbow.
Man’s laws and opinions. At one time the crossbow was a perfectly respectable device and part of Britain’s history. The media and their government can’t get rid of that fast enough. I wonder if the Sheriff of Nottingham is still in charge?
Less than a month after a woman uses a crossbow to defend 4 innocent lives from 4 machete wielding yobs the media and apparently the “rulers” of the subjects are incensed that people have access to this deadly device. Apparently the media and some Members of Parliament have more concern and mercy for the thugs than innocent people just sitting home watching their tellys.
In light of the above, it is surprising to find the following law in the Torah (derived from Deuteronomy 22:26): Habah l’hargecha hashkem l’hargo — “If someone is coming to kill you, rise against him and kill him first.” (This law applies equally to someone coming to kill someone else — you’re obligated to kill the murderer in order to save his intended victim.)
This law seems to contradict the principle of life’s infinite value. If no life can be deemed less valuable that any other, what makes the victim’s life more valuable than the murderer’s life? Furthermore, this rule applies to anyone who is “coming to kill you” — he hasn’t even done anything yet! Maybe he won’t succeed? Maybe he’ll change his mind? Nor does the law say anything about trying to run away. It says: If someone is coming to kill you, rise against him and kill him first.
The same Torah that tells us that G‑d placed a spark of Himself in every human being, thereby bestowing upon his or her physical existence a G‑dly, infinite worth — that same Torah also tells us that G‑d has granted free choice to every person. Including the choice — and the power — to corrupt his or her G‑d-given vitality and turn it against itself, using it to destroy life. A person can choose to turn himself into a murderer — someone who is prepared to destroy life in order to achieve his aims. In which case he is no longer a life, but an anti-life.
To kill an anti-life is not a life-destroying act, it is a life-preserving act. It is not a violation of the commandment “Do not kill,” but its affirmation. Without the law, “If someone is coming to kill you, rise against him and kill him first,” the principle of life’s infinite value is nothing more than an empty slogan, a mere idea.
Judaism is not an idea. It is a way of life — G‑d’s ideas made real.
Emphasis mine. For some reason, much of the media and elected officials seem far more concerned with the lives and well being of the criminals than those of the law-abiding. This is not just a British phenomena either.
I will start out with the amazing first. The United States embassy is now open in the Capital city of Jerusalem. To my knowledge, most other countries are allowed to designate what city will be their capital, only Israel has been denied that respect. President Trump put into actions in 2018 what congress put into law in 1995 with the Jerusalem embassy act. While Israelis were thrilled and celebrated Israeli Independence day according to the Gregorian calender on May 14th, the joy this year was heightened by the opening of the United States embassy.
The media, the Hamass terrorists and their minions, but I may be repeating myself there, were predictably apoplectic. The media covered the event as though the riots, which had been planned for a long time, were the result of the embassy moving. Nope, the embassy moving was just the cherry on top for Hamass. They pretty much do this every year in one form or another. They call the Nakba, or the “catastrophe” of the establishment of Israel. Some families have reunions, and some burn tires throw Molotov cocktails and get women and children to march in front of the men as human shields as they try to break through the security fence. The “peaceful protesters” set fire to the Kerem Shalom crossing, again. The Kerem Shalom crossing is where humanitarian aide gets in, as well as the gas pipelines which benefits the residents of Gaza.
Humanitarians
The media branch of Hamass is complying by showing lots of split screen shots of the riots and Ivanka Trump at the opening. That way they can imply that it is President Trump moving the embassy that caused it, and that they don’t care about the poor suffering Gazans.
Social media is abuzz, there is a group out there using Twitter to offer $100,000 to blow up the U.S. Jerusalem embassy. I guess that doesn’t violate Twitter’s community standards. On Facebook there were posts plastered all over instructing protesters to bring guns, knives, infiltrate Israel en masse, invade nearby villages and kidnap Israelis. Seems despite receiving numerous complaints about this Facebook left it up till 40 hours after the event started.
Split Screen
The American legislative branch of Hamass showed their “support” of Israel and the Embassy move as well. They practiced the ever popular “BDS BS” and not one elected Demoncrat was in attendance.
And while the media would have you believe that those killed are just innocent “poor Falestinians” apparently Hamass is more truthful than the media, at least 50 out of the 60 killed were Hamass operatives. Chew on that for a bit, Hamass is the more truthful. It’s sad, Hamass instructs the civilians, preferably women and children to be at the front. The Hamass operatives are not to be at the front where the action is because they might be hurt/shot/dead.
One of the other popular new Gazan hobbies is flying fire kites with Molotov cocktails, and other incendiary devices attached. They’ve managed to burn hundreds of acres of farm lands, crops and forests. That along with their burning of tires just proves how much they really love that land. Much like Ferguson being burned to the ground. Some are artfully adorned with swastikas. How original. But the idea isn’t that original. The Japanese thought of it before.Calls for kite control Diane Feinstein? Oh, no because you’re busy blaming Israel as well. Hypocritical dingbat.
My solution?? Visit the nearby Kibbutzim and towns, hand out rifles and handguns like candy, every man, woman and older child gets one along with plenty of bullets. Make a big deal out of it, lots of media. I’m sure cnn and msnbc #FakeNews will wet their panties and cover it non-stop. But, lets see just how eager the Gazans are to break through then. Because their plan is kidnap soldiers and civilians, if you can’t kidnap them, kill them.
Dr. Mordechai Keder has a very insightful column on how Hamass has turned their citizens into live ammunition. Ever since Hamass took over Gaza, the lives of their citizens has gone downhill. The reason Hamass, at least partly, is a terrorist organization is because they use terrorism against their own citizens.
But for the progressives, Israel hating anti-Semites, the always wonderful Sultan Knish has a column on How not to get shot by a soldier. It’s really a must read.
The following is intended to serve as a useful guide to various activists, protesters and other completely non-violent folk who happen to be packing knives, guns, rocks and grenades. You will encounter various law enforcement and military personnel– this is how not to get shot by them.
First of all it’s important to remember that if you attack an armed man in a uniform, he will very probably shoot you.
Even given the most restrictive Rules of Engagement in the world which forbid him from opening fire unless he is outnumbered 600 to 1, and only when he has been given specific authorization by the UN to use deadly force– there will still come a time when he will open fire on you.
If you want a short movie version, which while good, isn’t as good as Sultan Knish’s column.
The modern media for the most part, is the enemy of good decent people everywhere. I would like to hope people are catching on, because no matter what #FakeNews tells you, Israel is a sovereign nation and it is under attack from an attempted invasion. What other sovereign nation has to not only defend itself from the invaders, but the rest of the world from objecting to it’s doing so? I wonder why that is. Some claim that moving the embassy will endanger the “peace” process. Does anyone see a “peace” partner on the horizon? Gaza IS the two state solution. There are no Jews in Gaza, it is Jew free. What there are, are rockets being shot into Israel, terror tunnels paid for with aide money, UNRWA schools that hide rockets and have school books with no state of Israel shown and teach hatred of Jews. That right there folks is how your “two state solution” looks.
President Trump, well done, well done indeed sir. After all these years, since 1995, the promise has been kept.
Oh dear, another mass shooting involving an AR-pattern rifle.
First the report:
BREAKING: Multiple People Have Just Been Killed In A Gun Free Zone!!
A man wearing nothing but a coat stormed a Waffle House restaurant in Tennessee before dawn Sunday and shot four people to death, according to police, who credited a customer with saving lives by wresting a weapon away from the gunman.
An almost naked guy shoots up a breakfast shop in the middle of the night. I think it’s safe to suspect mental health issues.
But the details get interesting. Because you know this will — and probably has been by the time you read this Monday morning — be used to rally the victim disarming people controllers. Let me don my Carnac the Magnificent turban and make a few predictions.
The control freaks will cry for an “assault weapon” (when they aren’t calling it an assault rifle) ban.
It wasn’t an assault weapon under Illinois or Tennessee law. Define, then ineffectively ban it.
Background checks!
The weapon was legally purchased in Illinois. Which means the fish bait had a FOID (background check) and had another background check when he purchased it.
Waiting periods.
He bought the rifle in 2011; seven years ago. How long a waiting period do thet want? (he asked rhetorically)
Military grade weapons in the hands of civilians!
Too late, that already happened. Perhaps Congressslime Cooper will tell us what nation on the planet routinely issues semiautomatic firearms to its regular troops as its standard weapon.
As we’ve seen in recent psychopath-induced tragedies, sometimes law enforcement plays an unfortunate role. This one?
Chumbucket was known to both local Illinois law enforcement and the FBI. Looks like state and local LE in Tennessee had some encounters with him, too. It seems young Mr. Asshole was arrested in DC scaling the White House fence for an impromptu Presidential interview. At a guess, he was under indictment for federal trespass (prohibited person).
On the bright side, Illinois authorities cancelled his FOID and confiscated his guns (supporting the “under indictment” theory). On the down side, they gave the guns to his father whom they belive handed right back to our little prohibited (and now unlicensed) person. Oooh; unlawful transfer, and no background check.
So a troubled prohibited person, known to authorities in two states, and federal LE, unlawfully obtained firearms and did a bad thing.
Here’s another similarity to other shootings: The perpetrator wasn’t stopped by the police. Citizens stepped up. (To be clear: in Ocala, the SRO moved quickly towards the fire not knowing the shooter had surrendered. It simply took time for him to arrive, and he still had him in cuffs three minutes after the shot. He did right.)
In this case, the hero was James Shaw Jr., who had the testicular endowment and intestinal fortitude to tackle an armed shooter while himself unarmed. Before the cops could arrive.
Note that recurring theme: Before the cops could arrive. Even when they aren’t displaying Broward County-level cowardice, it takes the cops time to get there. It’s nice to have the capability to help yourself while waiting.

I got an interesting email the other day. It was warning about a scam that seems to be very well funded and quite sophisticated. The goal of it seems to be to tarnish the reputation of firearms trainers and Second Amendment activists and leaders.
The set up is a documentary that is being filmed by a group calling themselves “First Freedom Television”. They say they are working on strategies to keep communities safer in the 21st century. That an Israeli security expert will be taking part, and that the “documentary” will be shown in Israel. Apparently the people that they asked to take part in it are treated to very lavish accommodations, travel expenses are paid and a driver is provided.
The first report you can read in it’s entirety here and comes from Philip Van Cleave the President of the Virginia Citizens Defense League. He said partway into the interview and demonstration his spidey senses were tingling. He said he was shown a video of a 4 year old in Israel who had used a gun to stop terrorists in his school.
….the interviewer was making claims about Israeli schools training selected children to use firearms from age 17 down to age 4 (!) as a last ditch effort in stopping a terrorist attack on a school if the teachers and security staff had been killed. The children would have codes to unlock secured firearms in such a case.
When I balked at 4-year-olds being able to do that, he showed me an alleged newscast video on his iPad. The text was in Hebrew, but with an English-speaking narration, talking about how a 4-year-old boy had indeed stopped a terrorist attack at his school. The newscast said that he killed two terrorists using his dad’s gun, which he had brought to school in his backpack to show a friend, in violation of school rules. Israeli Premier Netanyahu was touting him as a hero in the video.
Hmmm, interesting. The last time I was in Israel I talked to a very interesting man about ordinary citizens in Israel being able to concealed carry. It’s not that easy. When he moved from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv he wasn’t allowed to continue carrying his weapon. In fact, it’s really not all that easy to get a concealed carry permit, or even a gun in Israel if you’re a civilian. Of course soldiers have them, but I remember during the last intifada that they were trying to loosen restrictions so more people could get guns and carry them. Residents in Shomron (Samaria) and Judea can obtain them easier I believe, but plenty of crime happens everywhere. Of course the criminals can seem to find them anywhere, even on Har HaBayit, the Temple Mount. So.
So perhaps the 4 year olds father is in the military. I don’t know that many fathers who would leave their service weapon laying around so it could be stuffed into a backpack and taken to school. For another where would he have taught the child to shoot? Ranges are not prevalent.
In a column from 2014, Moshe Feiglin of the Zehut political party pointed out Gun Control? Or Citizen Control? Then in 2016 he called for more citizens to be allowed to carry weapons. Give the Good Guys Guns. Hopefully Moshe will be Prime Minister soon.
From there the erstwhile filmmakers wanted Mr. Van Cleave to help them make a “safety video” for children of all ages. Which involved hiding guns in stuffed toys. And making gun noises.
Mr. Van Cleave feels to point of the video is to discredit and harm Second Amendment people. He said they seem to set up near gun shows and are good at hiding their tracks. He said they were very good an mental manipulation, and seemed to have everything well thought out.
The end goal was to get the victim to make a “training film” teaching 3 and 4-year-olds how to shoot guns hidden in toy animals at “bad” people, to sing little songs and make gun noises during the training to make it “fun for children,” and even teach little kids how to shoot a rocket-propelled-grenade or a squad automatic weapon at an approaching suicide bomber vehicle!
UZI-CORN?? Seriously, well, there was also “Puppy pistol”.
But the fun doesn’t end there, they are also advertising on Criagslist for “Patriotic folks” to participate in a training style docu-show for a TV series. Ammoland has screen shots.
But, back to Israel teaching 4 year olds to shoot rocket propelled grenades and guns….yeahhhh, only if you understand that Gaza IS part of Israel, AS IS Judea and Shomron. In fact, the disaster known as Gaza is pretty much what the two state solution looks like. You know, the one constantly in “humanitarian crisis”? Ok, that’s another story, they keep electing Hamass, ok, another story….
Why, Sheila, whatever do you mean?? I mean it’s not Jewish or Christian Israelis teaching their 4 year olds to kill. It’s the “piece partners”in the Gaza strip, and one has also been run in FA territory. Yep, summer terrorist camps for kids.
So, yeah, if you count the Muslims occupying Israeli territory, that are teachingtheir 4 year olds to kill. Ok, but you know what? That isn’t the side that this group represents itself as supporting. So this stinks. And from the people that did do interviews with this group, there is plenty that stinks.
So be aware. I keep thinking about that buffoon Michael Moore and how he tried to ambush Charlton Heston, this has that set up Soros, Bloomburg, Moore stench to it.
And as long as we’re on the subject of school safety…
I realize no sane person probably watched the cnn #FakeNews townhall for information. Entertainment purposes perhaps, comedic relief? But not really for information, because it is cnn, where they follow the script to the letter and expect their actors to do so as well. Even if they were real people who didn’t want to follow a script.
But here is some information I doubt they covered.
We know that Bucket O’ Chum had been reported to the FIB, we know that the police had visited his home 39 times, although Coward county’s finest says it was “only” 23. Well, ok, well, then.
We know that four of Coward County’s finest sheriff’s deputies coward behind their patrol cars with their pistols drawn when Coral Springs police officers rolled up on the scene. One of them, the only armed person for the school. Their resource officer was outside the building. Which of course, means Bucket O’Chum had a clear path. There was no one inside that could have stopped him, because they were keeping the children safe by being in a “gun free (except for the killers) zone”. Well, perhaps one of the deputies was a leader in the Hamas-related Council on American-Islamic Relations, he is also a Broward Co. deputy. He stays busy training the men in his local radical mollusk to shoot. So understandable why he would think the slaughter of the children is ok I suppose.
The motive was simple. The school system administrators wanted to “improve their statistics” and gain state and federal grant money for improvements therein.
It’s important to remember that this was not an arbitrary change; this was a well-planned fundamental shift in the entire dynamic of how teenagers would be treated when they engaged in criminal conduct.
In essence the thugs and criminals, misguided youth, little darlings got a free pass. And since statistics needed to continue to improve, bigger and more violent crimes had to be excused as time went on. Gangs quickly jumped on the bandwagon and began to utilize more school students for their crimes since the police most likely wouldn’t do anything about it. This came to light back after the Trayvon Martin shooting.
Which is most likely why school resource officer Petersen wouldn’t share information on Bucket O’Chum with social services or anyone else who might have put him in jail or sent him to a psychiatric ward.
Somehow, I don’t think cnn, msnbc #FakeNews or “First Freedom Television” #Fake Television also, will be doing a real townhall or “documentary” on any of that.
But above all, just remember, in a crisis, the police are just a cellphone call and only moments away….except when they aren’t.
Sheriff Scott Israel (ah, geez, really? That had to be his name?) and fast friends. Hmm, may have found the problem.
Broward Co Sheriff and buddies
In last weeks Parsha, in a commentary I read, the Rabbi quoted Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. He talked about how Moshe told the children Do not despise an Egyptian, because you were strangers in his land. (Deut. 23:8), but of the Amalekites Moshe commands, “Remember.” “Do not forget.” “Blot out the name.” In Exodus the Torah says that “G-d shall be at war with Amalek for all generations” (Ex. 17:16). The Rabbi raises the question “Why the difference”?
Short version, because the Egyptians had a reason for fearing the Israelites, they were growing to be many and to be powerful. They feared if they were ever attacked the Israelites would join with the invaders. But the Amalekites? They attacked the weak and stragglers that were of no threat.
When hate is rational, based on some fear or disapproval that – justified or not – has some logic to it, then it can be reasoned with and brought to an end. But unconditional, irrational hatred cannot be reasoned with. There is nothing one can do to address it and end it. It persists.
I would maintain that the anti-gun leftists, the Soros and Bloomburg groups are Amalekites. They will NEVER be satisfied with compromise on a right. They will just keep coming back and demanding more. No matter how many innocent people have to die they will just keep pushing the lie. No matter if they tarnish reputations, ruin lives or enable tyranny, they do not care because that is their goal. They hate the idea of self-defense, freedom, liberty so much they will tell any lie, allow any number of people to die needlessly to further their agenda. Blind hatred that cannot be reasoned with or bargained with. Nor should we try.
So what is your reputation worth? To the 2nd Amendment people who have dealt with this scam, whoever is behind it, their reputation matters. But they are willing to put it on the line to get the word out to warn others and protect them from it. To the Sheriff who was apparently in full virtue signaling, gun control mode who spent his time at the cnn #FakeNews townhall attacking the NRA and it’s representative, it is hollow, falsely built up reputation. He seeks to enhance his by doing nothing of value and causing harm. He knew at the time his deputies were outside the building as the children were being killed. Unless he is dumb as a box of rocks, it should have crossed his mind had a teacher been armed perhaps the carnage could have been lessened. None of that mattered. Blind unreasoning hatred. His reputation is dust, may the wind soon blow it away.
Jews. Guns. No compromise. No surrender.
