Constitutional carry in Kansas!
The new law, which kicks in July 1, makes Kansas the sixth state to allow “constitutional carry.” It will allow Kansans 21 and older to carry concealed firearms regardless of whether they have obtained a permit.
Training still will be required for anyone who wants to carry a concealed gun in the 36 states that accept Kansas permits.
Progress.

I’ve been looking at property in KS for a couple years now.
Convincing the wife is a tougher nut to crack.
Good news, of course. Just don’t be fooled by the misname of “constitutional carry.” It’s not.
All but this one of the many foolish and unjust limitations remain, including the “prohibited persons.”
If you look at the “law” you’ll find that all the old restrictions of concealed carry remain, and all the same places are forbidden to those who CC. Only the “permit” has been eliminated, not the rest of the infringement.
It’s a good thing, but we can’t rest now thinking that the war is over even when all the states have repealed their CC permit requirements.
Heck, in New Jersey, they are even going to force people to leave the state if their last name is “Gun” or anything close.
I’ve been pretty much convinced by folks I trust that the NJ name ban thing was an April fool’s joke. OK… but considering the insanity that comes out of NJ regularly, it’s not that much of a stretch. 🙂

Vermont has never required a permit for anything to to with firearms. Been that way since 1777. Welcome Kansas.
