This week’s poll asks how often you carry a firearm.
Since it went up a little late this week, we’ll keep it open until Monday at 6:00 p.m. CDT.
(And yes, “none of your business” is one of the options.)

When people choose “Other” they have the option to fill in a blank with their reasons. Unfortunately, PollDaddy doesn’t display those, but we had some interesting ones. Most of the “other” votes were variations on “all of the above” or “several of the above.” But here were the more original ones:
“Change the mindset. We can ALL defend & should.”
“Arm everyone. Darwinian solution.”
“Require small arms training and arming all teachers.”
“Constitutional carry everywhere.”
Thanks to all who voted!

Why I carry;
“If someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first,” says the Talmud. [Babylonian Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin, folio 72a.] That is the best response to mass murderers — in 1943, today and always.
From a good recent article in the Washington Post;

When tyranny becomes law
Rebellion becomes duty!
A comment on the graph of last week’s poll: Would it kill you to use more different colors in the graph? The subtle gradations of shades (especially in the greens) are hard to differentiate. There’s a whole rainbow of other colors sitting on the bench. How about giving some of them some playing time?
Laird — To the best of my knowledge, we have no control over the colors. At least not with a free PollDaddy account. Perhaps with a premium account. I’ll look into that next time I create a poll, though.
@Comrade X
Or as Mal Reynolds put it, “If someone tries to kill you, you try to kill him right back!”
I thought this was an excellent question and am disappointed that so few have participated in the comments. I seldom find any of the choices in polls fit my particular situation, so almost always choose “other” and attempt to post something closer to what I’m actually thinking or doing.
