I’ve returned several times just to look at this photo, Y.B. What a beautiful thing. You chose a perfect headline for it, too.

here in america the lesson of the ft hood massacre is that anything…can happen anywhere…at any time…for any reason…
anyone who failed to learn that lesson does so at his or her own peril
i got my concealed carry license as soon as i could because of the threat of muslim terror as much as anything else

preparedness begins in the mind
there is only one word that aptly describes anyone who still relies on the police to keep them safe in public…

This is so beautiful YB, so very beautiful. And it has to be more than just physical safety, though that is paramount. There has to be safety to BE a Jew. In France, England, US and yes, Israel.
Beautiful.
Once again, I must simply echo the comments of others who came before me. Safety does begin in the mind and there must be has to be safety to simply exist as a Jew. Beautiful image, and yet hard hitting at the same time.
I see a father conveying his worry of the perils his child will face, the will he must have to face those perils and the hope and love he has for his child. His gaze demonstrates a love for life. Where the culture who opposes his life continually demonstrates a lack of love for life by sending out its young to destroy life, both their own and others.

Thank you! I’ll contact Y.B. and ask him to add that credit. It’s such a touching photo.
