No registry? Here’s our ATF auditor copying every single page of our A&D books with her cell phone camera using an app that reads text. This data includes make, model, serial number, buyer’s name and address, and even the seller. We have over 20 minutes of footage of this happening in our shop in public view. Yes, this is illegal.
Damned right it’s illegal. The “no registry/database” was the “compromise” that FOPA gave us when we lost new machineguns.
It was compromise the feds could afford to make, since they had no intention of obeying the law anyway.
Oh, and note that Twitter’s censors hid the video behind a “The following media includes potentially sensitive content” warning.

They’re also showing up at people’s houses to “check” their firearms. In Delaware they had the state police with them. Some states with a Second Amendment Protection Act the state police can’t do that. Still baffles me that Eric Greitens who is running for Senate objects to that and thinks local law enforcement should be roped in to that illegal activity.
Knowing that it appears that, unless the Republicans prove that they are as clueless as they seem to be, the Senate and the House will end up in new hands come the November midterms, one can only wonder if the Republicans will make any changes to the state of things in the BATFEIEIO’s.
If they have any balls, they will force them to destroy all of the illegal records that they have collected over the past however that they have collected. And then they will find out who started this collection and ensure that their heads roll right down the street, past Pennsylvania Avenue, so that the current resident of the peoples house can see them and understand that it is no longer acceptable to ignore laws at will.
Who am I kidding, we know that nothing will change, even if the Republicans don’t screw the pooch, and loose the midterms. They are no different than the Democrats, when it all is shaken down.
