The SOS

So, I’ve been nominated for Secretary of State.

My nomination
My nomination

Yes, the pertinent names have been removed to protect my buddies. So it’s cold today, we have weather moving in I have a cup of coffee and a dream. I’m Secretary of State, so what would I do? What situations would I want to try to make better for U.S., and us as in humanity. No, I can’t solve them all, but here’s what comes to mind.

Well start with the situation that prompted this. The pieceful Falestinians. Lest you think I’m the only hard nose that thinks like this, I’m not. Daniel Pipes agrees with me. The Way to Peace: Israeli Victory, Palestinian Defeat Compromising with evil doesn’t work. It never has. I will say, I wrote the post above before Daniel did his column on this. But our answers are the same. I would add to what I originally suggested that one week before the date Israel announces that is declaring sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Gaza that they issue every Israeli a couple of X95s and they probably have some unused Tavors laying around, some nice Jerichos, plenty of ammunition, and for good measure? I think every Jewish Israeli community gets a tank or two. I hear they have a few Centurions laying around, they’re good in rough terrain. I think the day they are delivered the IDF should have a nice big presentation covered by Arutz Sheva. Then I think the Israeli Kapo high court should be locked up for about a month till the dust settles, shouldn’t take long. Maybe lock them up with some of the murders they have turned back out on the street to kill innocent Israelis with stolen trucks. Land owned by the pieceful Falestinians will be bought by Israel, unless there are Israelis living in that area, be it Judea, Samaria or Gaza that wish to purchase it. They get first dibs because they have put up with a mountain of crap for living there for years. It’s time their tenacity and obedience to G-d is rewarded. The arabs will then be export relocated to Syria. There is indeed lots of empty space there. This will work well for them. They will be among other muslims. This will make it unnecessary for them to continue murdering people as they will no longer be living among infidels and the occupiers (of their own land). They should probably leave the Kurds alone and not mess with them. I am not saying this will be an easy transition for them. In fact it will ago against what they have been taught from childhood. And when they say the video in there is bad, it is. What give me the right to come up with all this? Well, when Israel announced it was going to build some apartments in Jerusalem, the capital while crazy joe biden was there, hillary felt compelled to call and yell at Bibi for 45 minutes, so I think I’m good on this. And if you think this is cruel, realize if Arabs sell land to Jews, other Arabs may well kill the Arabs that sold it, so really this is a life saving way of handling it.

Domestically, what would I start with? Well let’s see my choice of appetizers. Several celebrities that have made it their mission in life to prove that they are good at memorizing lines and deceiving people have made it their mission to prove they also have very little life education. A actor or actress makes you believe they are the role, right? You’re deceived into thinking they are good, noble, righteous, sane. So people pay them large sums of money to do this, they then use these large sums of money to advocate for their elitist policies. Such as gun control, foreign policy, immigration, politics all the while using these large sums of money to exempt themselves either through paid armed guards or political favors. Many of these hollywood elitists have vowed to leave the country if Trump was elected, he was, go, now. As SOS, I will help hurry their passports through. Those celebrities wishing to move to Syria will find their new passport overnighted to their home at no charge to them. If they do not move within one week, there will be penalties comparable to those paid by us suffering under the obamacare they pushed for, plus 20%. That should please them as it’s in accordance with their belief of “from each according to his ability…”. While I’m at it? If you are a celebrity, or politician who has ever spoken in favor of gun control (people control) or voted for it? You will no longer be allowed armed security guards. And if you are a politician that has done so, your security will not be paid for by taxpayers. I’m pretty sure if you’re that kind of politician, Chuck Norris will not work for you Pro bono, just a hunch.

What else? Hmm, I see there is a hot debate on guns and various related topics. Let’s sample that. Silencers. Perhaps a more accurate term is “sound suppressor”. Hollywood B, C, D list celebs and many ignorant in the media (and that covers a LOT of ground) ,politicians and general public don’t understand this topic. It’s not like the movies! Many of the above listed categories are quick to embrace the socialism and communism of Europe, and the gun control laws of Europe, but they ignore the sound suppressor laws of Europe, which encourages them. From a NSSF flier:

In England and many other European countries, generally known for having much more restrictive firearms laws, they do not have restrictions on suppressor ownership and, in fact, actually encourage their use. They recognize that suppressors are a great tool to help reduce noise pollution.

It is a health issue, and it is a good idea. I think I should speak out in favor of it.

And while we’re on guns, let’s look at crime. There have been some terrorist attacks lately using guns. One in Orlando, and one at the airport in Florida. Of course there have also been truck attacks in Niece France, Germany and Israel. So the gun isn’t necessary, it was just the weapon of choice. The immigrant Tsarnov brothers used a pressure cooker, ability only limited by imagination it would seem. But let’s take a quick look at the latest incident.

First, thanks to my teammate Bear, I do have a good name for the latest terrorist, Some Asshole. This goes back to Lt.Col. Dave Grossman saying we do not repeat the names of terrorists, we let them die on the scrapheap of forgotten. But what to call them? Bear found a splendid answer, Some Asshole.

So taking a quick look at this situation. Some asshole was a veteran. But not quite your normal veteran. Initial reports seems to imply it was his serving in Iraq and the military that cause his problems. His family was quick to say the system failed him.

Troubled lad
Troubled lad

As is common in the media these days, it’s crap. Perhaps his family didn’t know, perhaps the military didn’t know, perhaps, ahhh phoooey. Seems Some Asshole converted to Islam 3 YEARS BEFORE joining the military.

And, since this information has started making it’s way into the public arena, you pretty much aren’t hearing anything more about it are you? I expect barry to label it “workplace violence” soon. As SOS, if President Trump choose to call incidents such as this “workplace violence” when there have been clear patterns to the opposite, I promise to oppose him, publicly. And while we are on the topic of this particular Some Asshole’s crime, Florida’s law is such that concealed carry holders can not carry in airports. Sen. Greg Steube has a bill to change that for them, it was already sponsored when this happened. But I think another interesting point that came out of this came from Grant Cunningham. He talks about the mindset. Yes, it would have been easier if there had been someone besides the asshole armed in the area, but as it has been said before, what is the dangerous part? The part between the ears. The mindset. We’ve been taught by the schools and political law enforcement, as opposed to cop on the beat, to stay out of it and let the professionals handle it. We are a long way from our independent pioneer roots where you had to handle it yourself, because there often wasn’t anyone else to help. But years of the government stepping in trying to be all things to all people and control all, including school lunches have taken their toll on our spirit. As SOS, I will urge congress to accept that parents probably really can figure out what to feed their kids for lunch, and that schools probably can figure out what they can and can’t sell and make kids lunches that are good for them, and they won’t pitch. I will also urge every American to consider taking a weapons of opportunity class. I can probably find someone to help you locate a class near you.

As SOS, I won’t use an unsecured server, I won’t take donations for a foundation I don’t have to sell uranium to a country that is probably not our friend. Well, I won’t take donations for a foundation I don’t have period. Better?

The last eight years have taken a toll on U.S. and us. Yes, as a country and as individuals. Some of it due to the lawlessness that has become pervasive due to the current regime and some just due to life. I would be a lousy Secretary of State most likely. I have little tolerance for B.S. and political correctness which is a subset of B.S.  But as President Trump begins to try to “Make America Great Again” I, me, personally, am going to try to improve myself. I’ve never been great, so it’s not being great again, as much as trying to get my mindset to more what it should be. It’s the start of a new year, and a resolutions like losing 5-10 lbs are still there of course, but for me, personally, I think a calm, sure and steady daily walk with G-d will help the rest fall into place. And so that, whether or not I’m Secretary of State will be my first priority.

So, President Elect Trump, if after reading this you think I’m a better bet than Rex, you can get in touch with me through The Zelman Partisans.

PS-I’m still not capitalizing the names of people I don’t respect.

OH NO!! Not the ___________!

Yeah, I’ll come back to the ___________! A couple of stories caught my eye the other day and got me to thinking. It happens.

So while I was kind of digging around seeing where I wanted to go with this, I ran across some other interesting things to share with you.

One of the things I was looking at was the number of violent crimes against women. And in the course of looking around for this, I ran across some things I hadn’t realized. For example, all around the world it seems in 2016 there was a wave of acid attacks against women. Acid is thrown onto women. This is in addition to the large rise in the number of sexual assaults against women. Many of them perpetrated by recent “immigrants” or “refugees”. The term used depends on the reporting of the country you are reading about. And terms used are important. For example, the “Judge” that decided the young soldier that shot the pieceful Falestinian that had just stabbed another soldier was not a threat. She stated this clearly by saying the “TERRORIST” was not a threat. Jack Engelhard has some pretty interesting commentary on this.

And what you call a person that perpetrated an attack, back to that bit. Well, in some countries you just don’t. The massive amount of sexual assaults last year in Germany was covered up, by the politicians and the media. It now has it’s own wikipedia page. But then the media and the politicians came to their senses and did the right thing by reporting it. Naw, just kidding. The social media outrage, first of the assaults and then the cover up, was huge, then they couldn’t ignore it. Not so much about protecting women as their image. I mean, what paper wants to be thought of as slimy, or in the same class as the NY Slimes? But at least an explanation was finally found. A helpful prominent muslim imam has this to say. It’s all the women’s fault.

In the wake of the Cologne attacks, a prominent Muslim imam, Sami Abu-Yusuf, told reporters women were to blame because they “dress half naked and wear perfume.”

It’s true, the German papers don’t want to warn women by telling them to look out for “Taharrush gamea”. Not that there is much the women could do about it. In fact, German police won’t tell you who to watch out for, because that would be racist. It’s a top level down policy decision. The police on the street in German said they are used to dealing with drunks around the holidays, but dealing with a mass of men that surround a woman or a few women and assault her? They’re seem to be handling it with the “um, what do we do now?”policy. This policy didn’t seem to work, so the German authorities got more aggressive. They began posting signs in different languages telling the new immigrants it’s not okay to grab a woman’s butt. But where they came from it’s fine. What happened to “respecting other cultures” Germany? The Germans also are having to sort out what to do with the influx of immigrants with child brides. While pedophilia is illegal in Germany, where the immigrants came from it’s not pedophilia. Sort of you say potato, we say potato.

It seemed the Swedish newspapers were very critical of the German newspapers reporting such things. Sweden prides itself of being a feminist supporting state. However, when the reports came out about the assaults on the German women, there was outrage. No, not that the German women had been attacked, but that the newspapers admitted, finally, that it was almost all Merkel’s immigrants who had done it. Then stories of the assaults in Sweden started coming out. Some politicians spoke out against the immigrants and in favor of protecting the women. The National Police Commissioner of Sweden came out and said he was so revolted he vomited. No, not about the women being attacked, but the politician that was speaking out against the immigrants. The rank and file police have said they are afraid to say what is happening.

As a result, immigration cannot be discussed frankly in Sweden. If you mention anything negative about refugees or immigration, you’re accused of playing into the hands of the reviled far-right. As a result, even legitimate concerns are silenced or labelled xenophobic.

And so Sweden has a very different idea of protecting women’s rights, or being a feminist than at least I would.

But the HuffPo has an amazing idea of protecting women’s rights. In a story about violence towards women, and attacks on women it praises Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau because he is such a strong “feminist”. Why? Because he supports funding abortion. Huh? By the same token, President Elect Trump was reviled. Partly because he doesn’t, partly because he said something bad and may have even done it. But in my little mind, there is a massive difference between saying something horribly offensive and throwing acid on a woman, gang raping her or killing her. But to HuffPo, well that’s how it is, that’s what they call respecting women’s rights.

So, when a politician tells you they respect women’s rights? Just be aware that may not mean wheat you think it means.

So, solutions. We need better solutions than Ketchup heiress john kerry produces.

One possible solution? The wearable alarm. No, it can’t call 911, but it can be programmed to call a friend or family member to come find you, or your body, as the case may be. But to some folks, this is a very empowering tool for women to have and use.

My personal favorite story? The 74 year old grandma that drove off a armed man wearing mask and gloves who broke into her home. She grabbed her own pistol and shot at him. It was in Texas, so she’s not in any trouble for shooting at him. It’s a shame she seems to have missed him, so he’s still out there. But the police said they have no problem that she shot at him. Now to me? THAT’S being supportive of women.

But then there is another class out there. This is the class that finds a President Elect who said something disgusting and may have done something disgusting to be the biggest threat women face. A fate more horrible than, well, something like living in a town with like, NO Starbuck$. And they have come up with a weapon so powerful, it boggles the mind. And they are fixin’ to deploy it. OH NO! Not the knitted, pink “pussy power hats”!!!!

Pink Pussy Power Hat
Pink Pussy Power Hat

There is going to be a March on Washington DC, the 21st of January. To make a strong statement for women’s rights. That a man who said something vile in the past is now elected. And it’s a world wide event too! There’s a A “pussy power hat” tracker , that shows where they all are. A group of female social justice warriors organized the march.

I’m sitting here thinking “you could be marching to object to crimes against women, or against women being legislated into being defenseless and disarmed. You could be marching against high taxes on firearms and ammunition that prevent poor people in bad neighborhoods from being able to afford the tools to defend themselves.” Yes, they could do those things that would empower women, that would help women remain safer in these odd and changing times and places. But they aren’t. In fact, I’d guess most of them are against such things.

Words matter, yes they do. The judge’s words “terrorist” giving away what they know about the man that was shot. Words that are left out of police reports and media coverage that keep citizens unaware of a dangerous phenomena that has begun because to tell the truth is racist. Vile words uttered that can’t be taken back no matter what, they are out there. Words matter, yes they do.

But NOTHING is as powerful as the knitted pink pussy power hat. Oh NO, NOT the pink pussy power hat! I’m sure the pattern is on the website somewhere…..I think I’ll stick to something else pink in a higher caliber. But that’s just me, and I’d like to think I’m a higher caliber kind of gal.

Different tools, Different Times, Different Places

To create fire, you need a formula. Oxygen+Heat+fuel or combustible material=Fire. Tonight it’s pretty cold where I am, and the fire heating the house sure does make it more comfortable. In fact, I’d be pretty miserable without it. I remember when I was young and my family would go camping. We had one of those old Puma pop up campers, Dad and I could set it up in 5 minutes or less. Sometimes of an evening for a treat, we had a little campfire and roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. They sure did help us keep warm on some of the cool evenings. And I must say, they’re part of some lovely memories for me now.

But sometimes fires can get out of control, destroying homes, businesses, land and lives. If you have the proper tool, sometimes you can intervene while waiting for the fire department to show up and save your ____________________. Please pick applicable noun.

To do this intervention, you must first have the proper tool, which means you must know what tool to use in which circumstance. You can not treat a wood fire like you do an electrical fire or grease fire. No no. That turns out badly.

So let’s look at what type of tool to use for what type of fire.

fire-exting

Isn’t it interesting how there is no “one size fits all” approach to handling the same problem “fire”? But you also need to know how to use the fire extinguisher. It does no good at all to stand there holding it in your hands reading the directions as family photos passed down for years go up in flames. No, you need to have that bit sorted ahead of time. It’s as though you almost need to train to handle emergencies. Here’s a handy acronym I was taught.

P—Point

A—Aim

S—Squeeze

S—Sweep

Point the nozzle of the extinguisher at the BASE of the fire, aim to direct your spray of chemical and squeeze the handle sweeping the nozzle from side to side at the base of the flames.

So what’s with the Johnny Gage and Roy DeSoto impersonations?

Well, as my teammate Bear pointed out in his last column

…I haven’t seen a single call for banning the private possession of fire extinguishers. No one has screamed that zoning laws and building codes didn’t work (and apparently were actively ignored by authorities) and should be repealed.

No one raises an eyebrow over having different types of fire extinguishers, or being set up to handle different types of fire. Or even having the knowledge that there are different types of fire. When it comes to having a shotgun for hunting or killing varmints in the barn or chicken house, a rifle for killing them in the pasture and no matter how much I love those two, they will not fit in my purse, so a handgun for self defense? Why, to those in the mainstream media, or NYC that there is one of those so called “arsenals”. Who could possibly need all those guns, three of them? Well, three types. But I feel I need the three types for different situations, just like different fire extinguishers are needed for different fires. Different threats, different tools.

Just as it is not the tool, the gun itself, that is a threat, but who holds the gun, the lovely s’more generating fire that gives us a tasty family treat, can also destroy and kill. In fact, it can be used as a weapon of mass destruction.

In addition to the Oakland fire, there has been one in Tennessee. This resulted in 14 deaths in the Gatlinburg area and damage to over 1,700 structures. 700 homes and businesses were destroyed or damaged, including 300 inside the Gatlinburg city limits. The fires were spurred by dry conditions and high winds. More than 14,000 residents were displaced as the fires burned and more than 15,000 acres were incinerated.

Two juveniles were arrested. No names have been given. They were not from the Gatlinburg area, but they are from Tennessee. So I got curious. There is apparently an islamic guest house in Gatlinburg. Who’d a thunk it? But they aren’t from that area. I wonder if they are from Murfreesboro? Two hundred and four miles away, in case you wondered. Reading some of the comments under some of the articles I saw that some of the other readers had the same thoughts go through their heads.

But why would I have such thoughts? Well, it’s most likely because of what happened in Israel last week. Something called the “Fire Intifada”. The cost has been fearful for the small Jewish state.

More than two hundred fires were sparked in Israel. Part of the problem is that it has been dry and was windy, and that did help spread the fires. One hundred thousand Israelis had to flee their homes, and while there were no deaths, one hundred and twenty-two were treated for injuries. Seven hundred homes were damaged or destroyed in the one thousand seven hundred seventy three fires, twenty of which were major. Thirty-two thousand acres burned, twenty-eight thousand acres in Haifa alone. Four of the fires burning Haifa started in different parts of the city at the same time. I’m sure this was on the news nightly, right? Actually if the failing networks known as cnn and mslsd had covered it, it would have been something along the lines of “Cruel Israeli police and military stop arab youth from starting campfire to make s’mores and keep warm”.

But it did have a big coverage of twitter. The hashtag Israel is burning was very popular. That was the tag used by the gleeful arabs praying for Israel and the Zionists to burn to the ground. An iman in Canada was publicly asking allah to burn all of Israel to the ground. Deputy Defense Minister Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan believed that part of the fires were arson. Israeli police have arrested thirty-seven suspects in the fire intifada, some of which are Israeli arabs. A former Shin Bet heads, Israeli Hasson remarked this was the first time Falestinians had used a “weapon of mass destruction.”

During the fires, many countries sent firefighting crews and equipment to help the beleaguered Israeli crews. PM Netanyahu requested of Russia’s President Putin aid, and Putin responded he would immediately send giant planes to help. Greece, Italy, Croatia, Russia, Cyprus, and Turkey also sent aid to help in the battle. Even the Falestinian Authority sent crews to help. As one radio host pointed out, that was only fair since Falestinians set some of them. Notice who is not on the list? Right, the U.S. I howled on Twitter for a couple days that I could not believe we had nothing we could send that would help. As it turned out I was right, we did send a supertanker a few days into the firestorm. What I believe is different about the American aid sent, is that it came with a price tag. obama charged Israel one and a half million dollars for the use of the supertanker. Which is disgusting as whenever there is a disaster that strikes anywhere in the world Israel is one of the first to respond to offer aid and show up.

There are efforts underway to help Israelis replant the trees lost in the conflagration through the efforts of Zo Artzeinu. There is a little movie on the web site showing some footage shot by them during the fire, and the resulting damage. And yes, I’m getting trees.

It seems that what happens in Israel, is reflected in the US later. Sometimes not much later at all. That is partly why I wonder about the genesis of the fire in Tennessee. That and the fact Al Qaeda urged them to unleash hell with fires. Admittedly an old article, but that doesn’t mean that it will be forgotten or ignored.

Something else I head in the radio program was pretty interesting to me as well. In the Tanakh there is a section called Kings or מלכים or M’lakhim. I’ll give you a short story from M’lakhim 3:16-28. It’s a story of two prostitutes, each who had a baby boy. One of the babies died in the night and that mother switched her dead baby with the living baby of the other woman. The two women came before King Solomon for him to settle the dispute. The King’s response? Bring him a sword, he was going to divide the live baby and give each woman half. The real mother cried out not to kill the baby, but instead give him to the other woman. The woman who claimed the baby but had no actual love for him was fine with this solution and said go ahead. With that the wise king gave the baby to the first woman.

Because the woman claimed the child as hers but had no actual love for him, she was willing to see him put to death and burned to the ground killing all living things in the land, and trying to kill the land itself. Trees, vineyards, groves of fruit trees, innocent animals and people. Those lives had no meaning to her.

But to the woman who’s child it really was? Who bore the child, nursed it and loved it? She was willing to do anything to save it’s life. Including giving her to the other woman, calling President Putin and asking for help and paying barry one and a half million dollars for a supertanker that would have been given freely to any arab country that would have asked for it. She would do anything to save it because she loved it just that much.

Bringing a Car and a Knife

Recently there was a stabbing attack at the Ohio State University.

One RFV (I’m not giving his name, it should rot in hell with him) and his family presumably fled the violence of Somalia to Pakistan, or as barry says it Pah kee stohn in 2007. From Pakistan, the family came to America in 2014 where they were granted permanent legal status. Since then RFV has attended Columbus State and until a couple days ago, Ohio State University. I just find that interesting. I don’t think college tuition is cheap.

The refugee from violence (RFV) was so upset when he first arrived at OSU because he was a member of the religion of pieces and said there was no place for him to pray. Well, actually, there were three prayer rooms for people of the religion of pieces to pray, but hey he was new. I haven’t found mention in any of the reports how many rooms were set aside for Jewish and Christian students to go pray.

One of the statements he made was he felt uncertain how he would be received as a muslim and felt unsafe.

This is my first day. This place is huge, and I don’t even know where to pray. I wanted to pray in the open, but I was kind of scared with everything going on in the media. I’m a Muslim, it’s not what the media portrays me to be.

It’s been a interesting week for me on Twitter. Someone sent me a homemade video of a young boy, probably late teens holding a Bic pen. One of the ballpoint ones that you take the cap off. And he holds it in various positions, wearing different clothing, standing different places all the while saying “This is a knife”. He goes below camera angle so you only see his arm holding the pen and says “This is a knife”. He give statistics on how low terrorist attacks were in the US. Sadly he gave statistics ending around 2007. I inquired if he had any more recent statistics, say, oh from 2008-present. I have not yet heard back. But he ends his video with saying we see him as a threat because the media has portrayed him I such. I have yet to see any of the terrorists victims attacked with a Bic pen. But I didn’t say that, I thought obama’s term isn’t over, and that might be tempting fate. I would maintain that the media does everything it can to cover for the religion of pieces, including a cnn propaganda news reader suggesting women wear headscarves in solidarity with muslims a few hours before RFV commenced his non violent political protest by mowing down his fellow students with a borrowed car.

That raises a whole set of questions for me. Did the person that loaned the car do a background check on the RFV? Wasn’t there some kind of cooling off period before the RFV could borrow the potential weapon of mass murder? Will the person who loaned the car face criminal charges? Will the manufacture of the potential weapon of mass murder? I haven’t heard the answer to these troubling questions.

So the 18, 19 or 20 year old student, depending on which site you’re reading wounded 11 people, one of them critically as they evacuated one of the buildings in response to the fire alarm going off.

The same night I learned on twitter that the reason people are fearful of seeing muslims with Bic ballpoints is that we are fearful of being stabbed, I also learned I am an anti-Semite. I am an anti-Semite because I am a pro-Israel Zionist. I also learned that the Jews in Israel have nothing to do with the ancient Hebrews that lived there centuries ago. I gotta tell you, I have some friends that are going to be down right shocked to hear this. I am an anti-Semite? I think I just stepped into an alternative universe. Sort of like Orwell’s 1984. The reason the muslims are attacking U.S. is because

We’re now bombing seven Arab counties for the Greater Israel project. It hasn’t made them more America friendly though.

“Greater Israel”, hmmm, does that, like = evil Zionist?

I said sorry, I was busy grieving for the victims of the attack at OSU. He informed me no one died. Huh? 11 people rammed with a car then attacked with a butcher knife, but HEY, no one died. Well, guess it’s all okay then. But one is in critical condition, so is THAT maybe close enough to mattering?

So I have learned Jews in Israel aren’t related to Hebrews. I already knew I was a Zionist. Damn skippy. Oh, and I learned gab.ai is where white supremacists and evil Zionists go. Huh, who knew? All that came about because one of my favorite people Shim was suspended at twitter. Shim has always just rebutted crap with humor and facts. Shlomi was suspended because he said something about the children being brainwashed to kill and that apparently violated Twitter’s delicate community standards sensibilities. Canary Mission was suspended. Milo was suspended. I asked Aussie Dave about Canary Mission’s suspension, I guess some liberal didn’t like having what he/she said repeated and quoted in a public forum. Liberals, hating facts since they were first used.

There is just something so familiar about this. It’s like I’ve seen this movie before. I just can’t seem to put my finger on what’s familiar about it.

Ram with a car, chop with a cleaver or a knife. Apparently this is the isis playbook. Which should give one a good clue who’s behind the pieceful Falestinian attacks.

But there is a big difference in the second one. It was stopped very quickly. An armed citizen intervened. The one on campus was stopped very quickly as well, but only because the hero police officer was in the area due to a reported gas leak. My view is G-d was merciful. In the gun-free zone, GFZ, called OSU one of the few people allowed with a gun, a police officer, happened to be near-by that day. Had there not been a gas leak, I’m not sure what the response time would have been for the students being butchered alive.

The call was reported as a “shooting” and a “shooter” initially. So students did as they’ve been trained to do, run, hide and if all options are gone, fight. Not sure with what, maybe their Bic ballpoint. So students hid in bathrooms and wherever, thinking it was a shooting going on. I wonder, what would have happened had their been a second assailant with a knife roaming the halls. Would students have felt it was safe to be out in the halls since they heard no gun shots?

Predictably, the anti-self-defense crowd came swarming out from under their rocks calling for more gun control.

Former VP candidate Sen. Tim Kaine tweeted his angst (dodged a bullet on that one, having Kaine as a VP)

As did shannonrtwatts.

The ever confused Shannon

And some unknown odd person.

Some strange people chimed in.
Some strange people chimed in.

So the only gun used was the one that stopped the car and knife attack and you want more gun control?

Perhaps like Britain, where soldier Lee Rigby was beheaded in public by the religion of pieces and they had to wait for “special” police officers who are allowed to be armed to get there. The usual officer on the street being disarmed. Unarmed police arrived 9 minutes after the call for help was placed, it was another 5 minute wait for armed police to respond.

But at least we went out of our way to make them feel at home. DHS gives Somali Muslims special airport security tours because they felt harassed and profiled

Google Strikes Back

I do the majority of the news aggregation for the TZP weekly email alert. Despite my dislike of Google, I have been making use of its news search function to find articles for a preset collection of phrases (“gun control,” “victim disarmament,” “common sense gun laws,” “gun free zone,” “firearms legislation.” Google sucks in many ways, but its news search function used to work better than most search engines.

Until this morning. Today, I discovered that my Google news bookmarks no longer work. For one, they no longer lead to just the news feed; it’s all web results. Not terribly useful for what I’m doing.

For another, Google now resets all my other search terms to “gun control.” “Victim disarmament?” Never heard of it. Ditto the rest. So cleared cache and cookies, and…

Search results are bizarre, as well. When I finally get to news for “victim disarmament” (I must now first hit the “news” tab for another term, then manually type “victim disarmament” and enter; repeat for every search phrase), I get…

Land mines. Military atrocities in the Ivory Coast. Columbia and FARC.

“OSU attack” gives me “Muslim Community Fears Backlash After Ohio State Attack” as the top result. You have to scroll down a bit to discover that a good guy with a gun stopped a car/blade attack.

I’m reminded of how Google disappeared Climategate search results a few years ago.

Here’s an interesting comparison. First up, we have the initial results page generated by Startpage (a privacy-enhancing frontend to Google, which strips out personal identifying data from queries to Google). The search phrase is “does google favor gun control?a”.

google-gun-control

Nothing to see here. Now to Bing (being Microsoft, not normally a preferred search tool).

bing-gun-control

How ’bout that first result? “Google Exercises Gun Control – Freedom Outpost”.

If anyone else cares to test Google’s bias, feel free to post results in comments. Myself, Google is gone from my search tools (mostly; I’ll keep on bookmark for future comparison testing).

Yeah. About that “active shooter” in Ohio today.

It’s hard to know whether to laugh or cry. Check out this headline just sent to me by our TZP colleague Nicki Kenyon:

tzp_ohiostate_gunman

Anyone who’s been watching knows by now that the only guns involved were the ones that finally removed the creepy little stabber from this earth. But the antis aren’t about to give up their “killer guns” so easily.

THREE TIMES this headline writer manages to insert a “gunman” who never existed into the story — and that’s even before the actual article. AND after they already knew he wasn’t using firearms.

That takes talent, folks. Hatred up the wahzoo toward guns and gun owners. Ignorance and carelessness on a vast scale. A deeply propagandized brain. But also a perverse, determined sort of talent.

(BTW, the headline is from a British publication, the Daily Record. They eventually changed the headline no doubt while dousing themselves with ice water to cool the deep burn of embarrassment.)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, I know it’s kind of late, thanksgiving is winding down. I am very thankful for The Zelman Partisans that allow me the opportunity to write for them, and for the fantastic team I am allowed to work with. I am very grateful for the readers we have and those that have gone further and chosen to become members. I’m grateful for our readers that take the time to comment on our columns and topics making it a dialogue, sometimes a very spirited dialogue!

I’m thankful for the followers we have on Twitter and Facebook. Among our followers we have people from America, Israel, Iraq and I think a couple in Iran. TZP has appeal worldwide. I think it’s because the issues we cover apply to people all over the world. And we do cover a wide variety of topics! Some of them are state specific, pertaining to certain propose laws or situations such as the disgusting universal background checks misleadingly portrayed by Mikey (no 32 oz soda for you) Bloomberg, and Shaneen Allen who was arrested in PA and spent 40 days in jail. I’m grateful Chris Christie, Governor of N.J. isn’t our next President, or Mikey Bloomberg either for that matter. Some topics are of interests to the human soul and the human condition no matter where you live.

We cover history topics from freedom to gun control and everything in between. We cover things that the mainstream media doesn’t like to talk about, or doesn’t want you to know about. And we can do that because at this point in time, we still have a fairly free open internet.

But with the election of President elect Trump, there are those that have now had enough of that.

Some people blame social media for him being elected. So while Arab incitement to violence against Jews continues on Facebook and Twitter, some conservatives are banned. And Facebook has helpfully decided to create “filters” to block what they consider “fake news”. Not what I consider “fake news”, not what you consider “fake news”, what THEY consider “fake news”. Facebook Has Created A News Feed Censorship Tool For China While Fake News Still Runs Wild In The US Yes indeedy! Someday our internet will be open and free as China’s. Whoo hoo! Something to look forward to, no doubt.

Goodness knows Angela Merkel is hoping it will happen soon! Merkel warns against fake news driving populist gains So while many are aware of the large increase in the attacks against women especially, in Germany some are not. Today at Thanksgiving dinner I learned that Merkel is the best leader in the free world, taking in all the rapefugees (as some in Germany have taken to calling them) has been a great deal and made Germany and economic powerhouse. I also learned there have been no problems with taking in all those poor unvetted refugees. The ax and knife attack on a German train is a mere inconvenience (what with the blood and all to clean up) not a problem actually.

Debkafile raises some interesting questions.

Until now, the freedom of speech advocated by the news organizations, Facebook, Google, Whatsapp, Microsoft and others has allowed the posting of almost any political content to social networks without censorship. Now, following Trump’s election as the 45th American president, that content faces editorial review. Its classification as true or fake news is put in the hands of faceless “censors,” who may be guided by their political, religious or personal worldview when deciding that a news story or opinion are fit for publication. Who’s to know?

Some folks are beginning to realize what some other folks have known for a long time, that most of the mainstream media has an agenda other than reporting the news. They instead prefer to shape the news.

App Store Users Torch CNN with One Star Reviews over Liberal Bias Folks are just getting tired of not having news “reported” rather than “purported”.

One of the ways people can express their dissatisfaction with a product or service is a review. And that’s what happened with the fraudulent news channel known as CNN. Apparently apple and google haven’t decided to buff things up for them, yet.

Unlike Amazon, who has decided that readers obviously don’t know what they are talking about when in comes to reviewing books. Megyn Kelly recently wrote a book. People bought the book. People read the book. People took time and wrote reviews of the book on Amazon, like people write reviews of everything on Amazon, including scouring sponges from Israel. They are awesome! The never scratch my new ceramic non-stick skillet.

But back to the review of Ms. Kelly’s book. It seems some didn’t like the book. Those that didn’t like the book were therefore deemed to be Trump trolls. And many of the one star reviews were removed. Which prompted a bit of outrage from the people that took time to write a review in the first place.

Some commenters picked up on the removal of the negative reviews. “Tim from MD.,” for example, wrote a post titled “Over 120 1 star reviews have been deleted. Are we living in a free country anymore?”

“Trump is president, but she wrote the book certain Clinton would win,” Tim from MD. wrote. “Now the book and her shows advertisers are getting boycotted. So apparently her attorneys have called to get negative reviews deleted. And they succeeded. I’m shocked.”

Brianna wrote, “I have written many thoughtful reviews as to why this book is horrible! They have all been removed even though I am a reputable Amazon customer/reviewer which is why originally Megyn had the true rating of one and a half stars and now four and a half FIXED STARS!”

I would hazard a guess people usually buy a book based on what it said it was about and what other readers said about it. Then when they were disappointed in the book, they wrote why. Isn’t that how taking time to write a review is suppose to work?

So today, even though I live in a country where college students are taught to pitch a hissy fit if they don’t get what they want and some news media outlets portray rioters as peaceful protesters and law abiding armed citizens as crazed guns nuts just looking for the chance to kill someone, that there are options to new sources. That we have an internet where people can search for news sources and reports of events that may carry the unpopular conservative view. Although, that view may not be as unpopular as some of the elitists thought. There may be a lot of people out there that are interested in what we at TZP have to say. And I’m grateful we have the platform to say it.

I can’t imagine anyone wanting to censor the fantastic news that eating ice cream for breakfast makes you smarter, but you just never know! Make mine chocolate coffee please!

News sources! Need News sources, must get to TZP!

How dangerous is the alt-right to American Jews?

I didn’t vote for Donald Trump. Wouldn’t have if you’d have held a gun to my head. But it doesn’t take a die-hard Trump fan to see how abominably he — and his supporters — have been treated by the media, both before and since the election.

Every Trump voter is a mysogynistic, racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, gap-toothed Billy-Bob who can barely read, let alone understand political issues. And every Trump appointee or potential appointee is a slightly more educated version of the above. To hear the MSM tell it, Trump will soon unleash millions of militant Nazis on the U.S.

Already we can see that the handful of media mea culpas apologizing for biased election coverage and promising to do better were nothing but phony virtue signaling. The post-election coverage has, if anything, been even more despicable.

One needs hip waders to get through the BS.

—–

That said, there absolutely is a foul, racist, and very definitely Jew-hating faction among the alt-right, and these people do feel invigorated and entitled following Trump’s election victory.

They consist not only of white nationalists, who’ve been around forever but have grown stronger and more angry in an era where we’ve all been told that white is a dirty word and that Caucasians should be ashamed even of existing.

But there’s also something more ominous, which for want of a better term I’d call Christian supremacists. These are people who try to pretend that so-called Western values are solely by (and ultimately for) Christians. They claim there’s absolutely no such thing as Judeo-Christian values. On the contrary, in their warped view, the very expression “Judeo-Christian values” is a conspiracy promulgated by anti-Christians. To hell with history and to hell with observable reality; in the view of these people, Christianity was born without other cultural or theological influences, and Christianity has by itself created the only worthwhile influences in Western culture.*

In particular the faux “Christian values” these supremacists tout were never influenced by, you know, those icky Jews.

Again, one needs hip waders to navigate the BS. But just as the MSM’s baloney appeals to a certain mentality, this smug, historically ignorant superiority, appeals strongly to people who’d rather spout holier-than-thou slogans than read history.

I joined Gab.ai, the brand new (still in beta) social network created by Andrew Torba to be a Twitter killer. The left has typically sneered at Gab, dismissing it as “Twitter for racists.” Torba and his family have been living under death threats.

Gab is actually exactly what Torba says it is: a platform for true, uncensored free speech for all points of view (very much unlike Twitter, which has recently purged hundreds, perhaps thousands, of accounts merely because their owners held right-wing opinions). The only “censorship” at Gab is done by individual users, who have the ability to mute users or words they don’t want to see.

However, Gab’s initial membership is overwhelmingly Trumpist, so right now Gab gives a pretty good look at the range of the alt-right.

And alas, my mute list consists largely of people who spout anti-Jewish rhetoric. I support their right to free speech; I just don’t want the stinky breath of their rantings washing over me.

While they’re a minority, they’re definitely part of the pro-Trump mix.

—–

For what it’s worth I don’t foresee that either the white nationalists or their cousins the Christian supremacists are likely to turn into marching Nazi hordes. Already (following a creepy report in The Atlantic), Trump himself has slammed the alt-right hard. Other prominent people on the right have spoken out against them. Here’s Paul Joseph Watson, a star in the pro-Trump universe:

tzp_watsononalt-right

While I think he’s optimistic to say that the creeps had nothing to do with electing Trump, it’s great that people in the movement are recognizing these bigots for what they are and disassociating themselves from the worst.

Watson is definitely correct that the “new right” consists of every color and kind of person. (Another of the stars of the movement is Milo Yiannopoulis, a gay Jew banned from Twitter but welcomed elsewhere as a hero-provocateur. Yet another is a black sheriff.) Quite a few “gabs” recently posted have reminded Trump supporters that they have a responsibility to disclaim the views and deeds of the bigoted cretins among them.

—–

The Jew-haters and racial dividers among the alt-right (and for that matter, among the left, which did so much to create the current climate) are always dangerous because, as a spokesperson for the U.S. Holocaust Museum points out, the Nazis’ Holocaust didn’t begin with killings, but with words.

And of course, with laws. Not likely that Trump, with his Jewish son-in-law, Jewish-convert daughter Ivanka, Jewish grandchildren, and his very non-bigoted views, is likely to implement or even tolerate the most poisonous alt-right creepitude.

Still, we owe it to ourselves, our friends, and our freedom, to make sure that the rising bigots are pushed back — with derision, with strong argument, with cultural marginalization. Even with arms, should it come to that unthinkable pass. If the bigots raise an army, or even a few isolated, terrorizing gangs, we should absolutely be prepared to exercise self- and community-defense against them. But we should never try to “disappear” them by censoring them; we should never sacrifice the First Amendment in their dubious honor.

Do those people have the potential to be dangerous to Jews and others? Hell, yes! But I don’t think we live in a country or a culture that’s going to allow scum like that to rise to the top.

—–

We should also, while seeing their stories of grave alarm, never let the media turn our eyes away from a much more clear-and-present danger: Jews who want to impose big government, globalism, and disarment on their fellow religionists — and on us all. Those who don’t think that Jews — or anybody else — should be able to take up arms against tyranny or oppression.

Whatever else you can say about Donald Trump’s most unsavory supporters, you won’t find many of them wanting to disarm anybody.

—–

*I think at this point I’m obligated to note that Christian supremacists don’t in any way represent the mainstream of Christianity or speak for Christians in general. But I’m putting that disclaimer in this footnote because I’m pretty sure that decent Christians, particularly decent Christians who’ve read both the bible and history, already know the creeps I’m talking about don’t stand for them.

Nu ? Ist es gut fer de Yidden?

In the months leading up to the U.S. Presidential election, Jewish “Leaders” were issuing very grave warnings in the face of the increasing popularity of Donald Trump.

This was especially true in Europe. Recently installed Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom; Ephraim Mirvis, even condemned him as a “racist”.

After the election, piling onto his condemnation of the Brexit vote, and horrified at the election results, the President of the Conference of European Rabbis, intoned that this would embolden the “Extreme Right-Wing” in Europe.

In a revealing statement, Rabbi Goldschmidt claims that the U.S. Elections were “good” for the State of Israel but “bad” for the Jews.

Well… “bad” for the Jews remaining in Europe, under the superb protection of their respective Governments, and dutiful and dependent men like Rabbis Mirvis and Goldschmidt.

Interestingly, Rabbi Goldschmidt admitted as much, as he elaborated that if the Trump administration were to have a reduced role in European affairs, this would leave his Jews to the (ineffectual?) protection of their respective governments.

But, I thought…   Huh.  Keeping his thumbs so firmly in his eyes must really hurt.

Stark divisions were also revealed within American Jewry in this past election: 70%, overall, went for Clinton, but the majority of the rapidly growing Orthodox went for Trump.  Even in New York City.

The shrinking Reform, Conservative, and secular Jews, obeying J-Street and the DNC in America, and the CER and their suicidal secular government patrons in Europe, voted for a third Obama term.

Americans residing in Israel voted overwhelmingly in favor of Mr. Trump.  Except for the shrinking (dying off, really) left-wing in Israel, native Israelis, even many “secular” Israelis also strongly supported the candidacy of Mr. Trump, and  seemed to discount the “boogie-man” version of Mr. Trump, as served up daily by the mainstream media.

Now, after the election, these attacks are becoming even more shrill.

How will this all play out?  Is Mr. Trump “good” for the Jews?  I really don’t know.  He and his advisors sends so many mixed signals, it is hard to tell.

One thing is certain, however.  The primary alternative offered, was bad. Very bad.

In the final analysis we all, Jew and Gentile, alike, really are best served by protecting ourselves  And,  not relying on earthly princes.

Kristallnacht

Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht

Kristallnacht began on 12th April 1928. The event itself took place on November 9th and 10th 1938. No, this is not a typo. When I interviewed Moshe Feiglin, leader of Zehut, he asked me when WWII started. I told him the night hitler was born. He agreed with this viewpoint. So I would maintain that Kristallnacht started on the 12th of April 1928. That was when the Reich Law on Firearms and Ammunition was enacted. That law enacted weapons purchase permits, and only authorized persons were allowed to buy and possess firearms. Mandatory registration allowed the authorities the ability to access the weapon and or it’s owner at any time. No doubt to check for “mandatory safe storage”. Manufacture and sale of weapons was also allowed only by permission of the authorities. The carrying of weapons in public also required a permit. In 1930 bladed weapons were added in. All this was to maintain only trustworthy people had weapons. Trustworthy as determined by the authorities.

In April 1933 the nazis enacted laws that prevented Jews from being in civil service, universities and most professions. In September 1935 the Nuremberg Laws were enacted. These determined who was a Jew, who wasn’t, how much Jewish, and deprived Jews of their civil rights. In fact, Jews were no longer considered citizens of Germany. When hitler first came to power and started his anti-Semitic odure the German people wanted none of it. But after time, the media, the entertainment industry, the schools and the constant blaming had their desired effect, the German people began to despise the Jews and see them as other than humans.

It was easy to begin disarming the Jews, the authorities knew who had weapons, what they were and they could go into homes at any time to search for weapons, and their owners. Or anything else they took a notion to search for. By this time since Jews were perceived as less than human or trustworthy and helpful citizens and bureaucrats doing their job were happy to join in if needed.

In March 18th, 1938 came the German Weapons Act, which superseded the 1928 laws. These in general appear more lenient. Only handguns would be regulated now, not rifles, shotguns or ammunition, and it deregulated their purchase and transfer. The legal age at which you could acquire a gun was lowered from 20 to 18 years of age, and the permits were now good for 3 years instead of 1 year. Before the more lenient laws of 38 only officials of the government and states, and employees of the German Railways were excused from the mass of hoop jumping. The laxer laws of 1938 added to the privileged group, holders of annual hunting permits, government workers, and nazis were now deemed reliable and trustworthy enough not to need gun ownership restrictions. This was determined by the authorities, the nazis. Manufacture of arms and ammunition though still required a permit. And those permits would no longer be issued to Jews. Any company even partly owned by Jews could no longer manufacture arms, or ammunition or sell them. As determined by the ……authorities.

Under all regulations though, manufactures and sellers were required to maintain lists of who bought guns, and the serial number of the gun. These records were turn into the ATF police every year for inspection.

On October 27th of 1938 Hitler ordered 17,000 Jews of Polish origin to be shipped back to Poland. They were allowed one night to leave Germany with one suitcase. They were put on a train and taken to the Polish border at Zbaszyn. There they were dropped off. Poland would eventually allow 4,000 in, but the rest were trapped at Zbaszyn with no food, virtually no money, no place to stay and no clue what was going to happen.

One of the families affected was the Grynszpan family. Zindel had moved from Poland to Hanover and established a store in 1911. When they were stranded at Zbaszyn one of the daughters sent a postcard to her brother, Herschel, who was living with his uncle in Paris. Herschel was livid when he received the postcard on November 3rd . He bought a gun and some bullets on November 6th and headed to the German Embassy intending to kill the Ambassador. The German Embassy was fresh out of Ambassador that day, and he ended up settling for the third secretary in the German Embassy, Ernst von Rath. The secretary died 2 days later on November 9th. This provided joseph gerbils (yes, I do know it’s goebbels, but this seems more fitting for the rat-faced nazi) the excuse he needed to label the act a conspiratorial attack by “International Jewry” against the Reich and, against the Fuehrer. When gerbils and nazi party officials found out about the death, gerbils gave a speech that urged all good Germans to take to the streets and make the Jews pay for von Rath’s death. Reinhard Heydrich said business could be destroyed but not looted. CNN and MSNBC The German newspapers claimed the Jews were murderers, and blamed the Jewish people as a whole for the killing of von Rath. And so the all the propaganda, the disarming of the Jews, the dehumanization erupted in a conflagration of hatred.

On the nights of November 9th and 10th the mobs throughout Germany and the territories of Austria and Sudetenland attacked Jews in the street, in their homes and at their places of work and worship. At least 96 Jews were killed and hundreds more injured, more than 2,000 synagogues were burned, almost 7,500 Jewish businesses were destroyed, cemeteries and schools were vandalized, and 30,000 Jews were arrested and sent to concentration camps. The mobs knew that it would be easy, who could fight back? And just to make sure that peace remained in Germany, the next day on November 11th new laws were passed that forbade any Jew from owning any weapon.

I read a column in Salon on line that maintains that gun control is good and wonderful, and just because hitler misused it doesn’t mean it can’t be just peachy. That the very idea of Jews fighting back is absurd. Really? באמת

I only have two words for them, the idiots. WARSAW. GHETTO.

A fearful price was paid the 9th and 10thof November 1938, but it started long before that. People live and learn.
