Join us!

Here goes, guys! At long last, you can really, truly join a freedom-fighting, kick-ass, no-compromise, no-surrender partisan brigade. And no need to take to the woods. Just … click!

The Zelman Partisans began as a blog (I was going to say “a mere blog,” but there will never be anything “mere” about TZP). But our intention has always been to fulfill the greater, wider mission of the late Aaron Zelman. Our job is to plug the gap left when Aaron’s great Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership was sold to people who reject everything Aaron stood for.

Now we begin … with your help. In exchange, we’ve got some cool stuff to offer you.

First … Join us!. Choose from three levels of membership: one-year charter, three-year founder, or three-year founder PREMIUM. Each level offers its own benefits and each level is discounted for the first 100 to join.

Second … Every partisan needs a patch!. Everyone who buys a membership at any level gets a FREE patch with membership (among other items). Don’t want to join? You can still buy your patch. These are high-quality embroidered morale patches, suitable for wearing or for display. They’re velcro-backed (and you get both the hook and loop pieces).

Every membership level gets a patch, a membership card, and a certificate. The higher levels also get discounts in our store. There’s not much in the store yet: just the patches and copies of RebelFire: Out of the Gray Zone (autographed; limited quantity). But we’ll be working on creating more good stuff for you! PREMIUM members get a FREE copy of RebelFire and a 5×7 portrait of Aaron Zelman (the same one you see here).

GOOD NEWS FOR PREVIOUS DONORS: We are incredibly grateful to you who jumped right in with donations before we were even “official.” Because we appreciate the boost you gave us, everyone who has already donated more than $20 will be enrolled as a member in whichever category best matches your donation. We’ll be contacting you soon, but we’ve had trouble in the past with some donors’ email addresses. So if you’re an existing donor and you don’t hear from us shortly, email us at tzpstore-at-zelmanpartisans-dot-com.

Finally, a little housekeeping: TZP is now incorporated, thanks to founding members and sponsors, the Alperts of Missouri Bullet Company. We opted not to go for the 501(c)(3) status that JPFO had because some of our founders want the option to “get political” (and because tax-exempt status involves jumping though horrible IRS hoops). So donations to us are not tax-deductible. Nevertheless, we will make good use of your contributions by continuing to bring you solid, unique blog content, cool stuff, and ultimately special projects to keep reminding the world that gun rights are lifesaving, genocide-preventing civil rights.

Now, join us! And if you should run into any glitches (since the store and membership programs are brand-new and since we are all just volunteers pulling TZP together as we can), please notify us at tzpstore-at-zelmanpartisans-dot-com. We’ll get the problem fixed as soon as possible.

Thank you — and glad to have you with us!

          1. Thanks, Comrade X. Jo Ann’s thinking the problem might involve pop-ups. But she won’t be at a computer for another hour or so. So hang in there and stay patient!

          1. Thanks for the attempt, Ry, and for the patience. Jo Ann has been away from her office, but she just emailed to say she thinks she has the problem fixed for memberships, at least, and is still working on coding for other parts of the store.

I just got in, myself, and will try it out. Crossing fingers!

        1. No. Thank YOU, Ry. Got your membership and sent you an email.

Jo Ann says she has also now fixed the problem with instructions not coming through via the comment box on the orders. I had to ask the first three premium members for their instructions on book autographs, but we’ll see how it goes now.

  1. I’m in; but am having a problem signing up, every time I hit “Add to cart” I end up back where I started?

I can’t find the cart to check out.

  2. Worked fine for me. Better than that, it made my day to be able to join!
(Hmmm. Comment box is a little wonky, but I can live with it.)

    1. And believe me, it makes our day that you wanted to join and did join!

Apparently the comment box is more than a little wonky. So I’m emailing people to confirm their instructions for autographs and such because that info isn’t coming through. That’s a glitch that shouldn’t be too difficult to fix, though.

      1. Everything came through fine. _Out of the Gray Zone_ arrived yesterday, and (of course) went straight to the top of my “read pile”. Thank you all for all you do and for the opportunity to join the organization that Aaron Zelman intended it to be.

  3. Looks as if the only payment option is PayPal. I won’t go there even for TZP… so is there another way to pay? I do understand the problems with accepting credit cards on an individual basis, but since PayPal stole money from me years ago, I won’t use them.

A “snail mail” address to send cash would be fine.

  4. MamaLiberty I don’t do paypal either but this particular paypal link allows you to use your credit/debit card without joining paypal so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Claire, everything is hunky dory, I’ve joined and even picked up a few extra patches for some new recruits!

    Death before slavery!

    1. Comrade X (again) — I saw your order and emailed you. Thanks! And thanks for responding to MamaLiberty. Seems you actually know the store better than I do.

ML — We’re working on getting a snailing addy and bank account for check and MO orders, but so far we can’t accept any payment other than the options offered by the store software.

  5. I’m waiting for you to reel in Kurt Hofmann. I’ll join immediately after that happens, (no offense to the other great writers here, I just want the death knell at Gottlieb’s jpfo to be rung).

    1. Oh, Travis, I hear ya! We would dearly love to have Kurt Hofmann and David Codrea both with us. We are handicapped in that effort by the fact that (so far) all of our writers are unpaid volunteers.

I can’t fault Kurt for staying with JPFO even after Gottlieb censored his article last week; he needs the income and we can’t offer it to him. But on the day he leaves Gottliebville, for whatever reason and in whatever manner, the illusion that Aaron’s JPFO still exists will finally blow away in tatters and there will be rejoicing in the land.

Now that we have paid members and a store (however small a store at this point), we’ll see what happens. The new income will have to be carefully and wisely allocated, but being able to pay great writers for great work is (and this writer heartily agrees 😉 ) a long-term priority.

    1. Azygos — Thanks for asking! At the moment I think the store’s automated system will only allow you do to that if the PayPal account or credit card you use is in a company name. OTOH, if you use a personal card but put your company name in the comment box your certificate and membership card could carry the company name, though you’d be listed in our files as the member. (Back your request up with an email to the store addy, letting us know you want the company name on the cert and card.)

We will eventually have a corporate membership program, but that may be a few months down the road.

  6. Have tried to join several times. Pay Pal says they have processed my credit card info but I can get no further than that.

    What do do next?

    1. JakCrow — I’m very sorry you’re having a problem! I checked and definitely don’t see anybody with your email address listed as having purchased a membership. If you may have used a different addy or if you want to tell us your real name so we can check further, just write to us at the store address tzpstore-at-zelmanpartisans-dot-com. It sounds as if the problem may be on PayPal’s end of things, though. If so I don’t know what we could do from our end.

Jo Ann, the person who really knows the store software, is away from her office for a few days. So right now I can just say thank you for trying — and be patient. Also, you might want to check with your credit card issuer to see if there’s actually a pending purchase.
