  1. well… if the point of the video was to alienate people like myself – Christians who have always loved Israel, have supported not only the JPFO but financially helped various groups in support of the IDF with hard earned money, for years – then it has about 99 per cent succeeded. Showing the Catholic priest as a hater ( I am Catholic, btw, and the Church does not teach or imply damnation for the Jews ) and assorted images intended to represent scowling Christians is not something that I think Aaron would have approved of for one moment. I have spoken with him several times when he was still with us, and never had any glimmer of such an attitude. So this is my last visit. I wish you well, but now seeing your true views of your former non-Jewish supporters show me that us goyim are neither wanted nor appreciated around here. I wish you well. Goodbye.

    1. Sorry you took it that way, as it was certainly not intended so. I saw the video as making fun of the two-thousand year old fixation where Jews are believed to be vicious, conspiratorial, murderers, who want to impoverish and enslave the world. If so, we’re doing a piss-poor job of it.

The fellow in the video, is saying, in effect, that he, like most of us, only want to live our lives in peace.

The video was posted as an attempt to humorously respond to an unusually paranoid, and vile comment (truncated to same HIM embarrassment), from a recent commenter. If I missed the mark in so doing, I sincerely apologize.

  2. Really, Julian, please don’t jump to conclusions and please don’t go.

I’m not Jewish and I thought the video was entertaining, well-made, ironic, sometimes funny, sometimes sad — but certainly not hating on anybody. In fact, it was clearly mocking those who practice hatred of groups. It certainly wasn’t anti-Christian or anti-Catholic.

  3. As a Christian supporter of Israel, I’m not offended at all. This is just a manifestation of the famous Jewish prickliness that came about because of two thousand years of oppression and murder of Jews. Which, by the way, came at the hands of (in many cases) my Christian predecessors. Including Rome. Jesus, the apostles, Paul. All Jews. Torah observant Jews, Paul, a Rabbi and a Pharisee.

And today Christianity relies basically on replacement theology and bad translation. The truth is now slowly emerging, and the church is having it’s eyes opened to the indisputable debt owed to the Jews.

    1. In fairness to our friend Julian, I could/should have used a tighter “choke constriction” in my response to an over-the-top commenter. Anyway, as the Joo on the Podium, aren’t ‘i’ supposed to be the thin-skinned-one? : 0 I hope Julian stays while i grow up.

  4. Naw, I think Julian is just another humorless guy looking for the exits. I’m a former Catholic, and life member JPFO, and I remember well the sunny reception for Jews by the Catholics I knew at the time. Not. But hostility for the Jews is more than a religious phenomenon. I’ve met them in different regions, and from different races. And some were Catholic priests. And some were nuns. (Sisters of the Most Precious Blood). And I remember getting my ass swatted in grade school (Catholic) for bringing up the subject of The Inquisition. They didn’t want it brought up when I was an adult either, so I left. Mostly I remember my Catholic upbringing as being told to shut up, and tow the line, and I don’t know anything about anything, and put something in the collection plate and shut up some more. I think of the Catholic Church as a cult now. Shut up, listen to dogma (never explained, just trumpeted) give us your money, oh, hey, we’re going to diddle your little boys and girls with our “holy” priests, lie about it, deny it, and keep on transferring them around so they can keep doing it, damn the law, make them bishops, and never really own up to it, give blood and other medical care to communist butchers in Africa, shelter illegal aliens who commit crimes, import scum from other countries under the guise of mercy, shelter, aid, abet, and other wise conceal murdering Nazis, and do everything contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and claim infallibility while doing it. Know why there is a 70% shortage of priests, Julian? Because no actual heterosexual MAN knowingly joins a protected, cosseted, and virulently homosexual organization. So, run off, and cry in your closet, because some one tried a little humor concerning the idiotic beliefs that the Jews are taking over the world. But know this, smart guy. If they were taking over the world, they’re doing a lousy job. And if they were to succeed, being sinners like every one else, they would ultimately fail at it. And your leaving proves my point. You wouldn’t support Jews for anything anyway, so all you needed was a teeny excuse, and you’re off scot free.

    1. Look, guys. I think we all have different thresholds for this type of stuff, and one never knows what may set someone off. I would encourage Julian not to go, but it is his choice. I will always consider him an ally from the numerous comments he has left on my own blog and all the kindness he’s shown me, and I would also encourage the rest of us not to pile on to him. There are definitely varying degrees of what people find amusing, and we can certainly disagree on that, but I don’t want to alienate an ally.

  5. I am a life member of JPFO. I am not Jewish(retired Catholic). It is not the religious backround of people that is the issue. It is the ingrained statist mindset. And, like the Catholic priest in the TV movie HOLOCAUST some years ago, it is time to: “…pray for the children of Abraham.”

  6. as a Christian of jewish descent, i saw the video as humorous.
it was intended as satire, that is how i took it and enjoyed it.

  7. I thought it was humorous, I plan to show it to a friend of mine next time I see him as I expect he will find it humorous as well. But it also got me to thinking…dangerous. I feel a column coming on! Thanks for sharing the video A.B. I mean it!
