Another thing Israel is good for :-)

Stuff like this.

Gilboa announced it a year and a half ago via the video below, but it’s apparently now about to go into full U.S. production. Frankly, I’m surprised the good old ATF hasn’t gotten all over this like stink on a skunk.

  1. I have not heard of this before but at first glance it seems awkward to me. I also noticed he had a Type 2 (failure to eject) malfunction on, I think, his fourth trigger press.

Some questions that quickly entered my mind are:
How easy is it to regulate both barrels POI for different loads or is it even a consideration.
Is this firearm primarily to be used for suppressing fire as a light machine or something else.

I’m not sure or convinced on how well it addresses the problems mentioned.

It doesn’t excite me, but who knows it might end up being the greatest thing since sliced bread.

    1. dchamp — Yes, the guy who sent me the link said no way was he getting one for himself, ever. And I agree I don’t see a lot of point to the thing — other than its cleverness in getting around ATF persnicketiness.

But as you say, who knows?

  2. The more tools, the better. You just never know when a particularly strange and seemingly unworkable idea will suddenly produce a breakthrough… And even the failed ideas produce much needed information, and incentive to look for better ones. 🙂
