One thing I’ve always loved about Kai Cutlery’s Kershaw knives is that they usually come very, very sharp, right out of the box. Their design and execution is always first-rate, especially at their moderate price point.

Ken Onion’s “Leek” assisted opener design is an excellent example of these features. Thin enough to disappear into any pocket. Sandvik blade steel. Big enough to get the job done, but small enough, and can be carried tell-tale-clip free *, to keep you out of legal crap in many non-permissive environments.
