And the despicable NY Times with it’s stellar record of printing all the news that’s fit to print seems to have an odd idea of what is fit to print. One that I suspect honest, decent Americans might differ with.
For instance, here’s what they choose to ignore. Back before Ukraine was “cool”. I guess they didn’t know how handy money laundering for demoncrats was yet.
How ‘The New York Times’ Helped Hide Stalin’s Mass Murders in Ukraine
How The New York Times Contributed To Ukraine’s ‘Bitter Harvest’ In The 1930s This one is all about the media.
Far from the only atrocity the NY Slimes chose to ignore of course.
The New York Times Downplayed The Holocaust
How the NYT Missed the Story of the Holocaust While It Was Happening
Gee, looks like they are still covering up genocides. Well, with the Slimes, I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same, eh what?
NYT Cover-up of Two Genocides: Stalin’s Famine In the Ukraine and the COVID Vaccine Holocaust
So what does the NY Times see fit to print? Ahh, a Hannukah present!

I’m still waiting for the ADL to explain why this isn’t anti-semitic and tell people we’re being ridiculous. And even if it is anti-semitic it’s Donald Trump’s fault.
But you know what? This is from a public Hannukiah lighting tonight. The Hannukiah has 9 branches, one for each of the 8 nights, plus the shamash, the servant candle used to light the others. The Menorah in The Temple had 7 branches.
The Rabbi opening the ceremony

This is the Mayor Lighting the servant (shamash) candle. Two other candles are because it’s the second night of Hannukah.

Then the Fire Department began to drop little Hannukiahs on parachutes! Is this cool or what?

Then they commenced with the gelt drop! Gelt are chocolate coins, they can be used to play sevivon/dreidel when you gamble. Look to the left side of the picture, got them mid-flight!

So you know what NY Times? Our G-d stepped in and with his mighty arm gave the Maccabees victory, Judaism survived. We’re still here, so stuff it!
B”H. The Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society should rebuild itself back into it’s original form and purpose, and facilitate mass Aliyah. From America. Starting with New York City. Chabad will help the stragglers, until the job is done. It is time for us to go home.
I am forced to again admit my ignorance of Jewish customs, but I understand quite well the anti Semitism of both the Times of the past and of today, as well as what might be considered even worse, the governmental anti Semitism as shown by the cultural appropriation of the celebration of Hannukah.
It would be similar to taking the Christian holiday of Easter, and having Jesus remain buried, instead celebrating the soldiers and how brave they were.
I apologize if that is an inappropriate thing to write, but I am just trying to explain in terms familiar to me, how completely angry and disgusted I continue to be with leftist governmental officials remain in regards to not only the Jewish people, but to any religious peoples of any faith. By attempting to appropriate the celebration, but morphing it more to the parts that they like, they continue to “water down” the religion until it will become the same as any other religion, or pretty much like the socialist countries after WWII. Don’t think that it can’t happen again. Like they say, history might not repeat itself, but it certainly can rhyme.
As I said, I am a Christian, and an unapologetic one, but I also am a very strong supporter of the Jews and the nation of Israel. I believe that the Jews are G-ds chosen people, and His covenants have been given to them throughout the Books of Moses, and continuing on through the rest of the Old Testament. As a Christian, I have a bit of a different belief about G-ds covenants in regards to the Gentiles, but there is no doubt that His covenants are still to the Jews first and foremost. We can perhaps discuss our differences some other time.
I know one thing, and of that I am certain. The G-d of Heaven and Earth is still in control and still on His throne, and of that, there is no doubt. I pray that when the time is ripe, He will act, and come and bring His kingdom to fruition.
What is with the gum-ball machine in the base of the plumber’s Menorah in the first picture?
That must hold lottery balls they sold to help pay for the crooked politicians trips over the holidays. Can’t have that appear on any listed budget, you know. They have gotten used to hiding it in Covid funding, but now that the public has gotten wise to their lies and the BS that they used Fauci to push on us for so long, they had to come up with some other way to pay for their trips this year.
Never fear, next year, there will be some other emergency that requires a huge financial spending package, that will be so large that there is no actual way to track all of it. I am watching the Zelenski address to the U.S. Government right now, and I am guessing that it will be the next financial bottomless pit that we throw money down. Because Russia will get really pissed at the U.S. for sending Patriot missiles to Ukraine, they will claim that Ukraine is only our proxy and we are at war with Russia, and Russia will declare war on us, and start to act in very bad ways, without actually firing shots at us. Yet. I think that Zelenski also wants drone launched Harpoon missiles. This is not a good time to have a weak president, and a non Vice President. Those that continue to encourage the support of the war, need to step back and consider just what the reason is for us to be involved in the region. There are a lot more negatives than there are things that we could gain, from provoking one of the countries in the world that possess Nuclear weapons, in fact, they have more of them than we do. We have always had an arms length relationship with the Russians, and it worked. It seems like we need cooler heads to prevail, and try and return to that same relationship. Putin is not a stupid man, but he is a proud man. He won’t let the U.S. to make him look bad on the world stage, without acting in response. And if he does respond, it won’t be half steps, but it will be a response that the world sees and knows that he is serious about.
The gumballs? They’re actually gumballs 😉 After the lighting ceremony (and my humble suggestion, after you’ve eaten your donut) you could go up and get some gumballs. It was a very fun, and family oriented event.
You nailed it Pigpen (again). I couldn’t restrain myself, there is another column going up in a couple of minutes.
Y.B. I read a column in that says Netanyahu has formed the strongest government yet. May it be so. https://www.breitbart.com/middle-east/2022/12/22/netanyahu-announces-he-has-formed-a-new-israeli-government/
But like many on the Pub side of the aisle, he’s been known to campaign from the right, and govern from the left.
But I agree, last one of of New York, turn off the lights. Wait, never mind. Due to fiscal irresponsibility, they’ve been shut off anyway. Work fast my loved Chabad, I think I saw Snake Pliskin heading for his glider.
