Taliban in Afghan capital Kabul start collecting weapons from civilians
Taliban fighters in the Afghan capital, Kabul, started collecting weapons from civilians on Monday because people no longer need them for personal protection, a Taliban official said.“We understand people kept weapons for personal safety. They can now feel safe. We are not here to harm innocent civilians,” the official told Reuters.
I’m sure the Afghans are just as confident of that claim as we Americans are of the Dim-ocrats’ claims.
“Innocent civilians.”
Innocent by what metric? Under Sharia Law, you could be guilty of a whole host of execution-worthy “crimes” when you open your front door in the morning. A female would deserve death if she reads this blog.
Plus, there’s the massive, unspoken “for now” at the end of that statement. We’ve seen that promise before — from every genocidal dictator throughout history — and how it goes right out the window as soon as the populace is disarmed.
So pardon me if their promise to not persecute “innocent civilians” doesn’t mean much to me.
That’s because the Democrat-Communists are cut from basically the same cloth. Authoritarian. That and they like hurting things, people, statues, history and the like.
