A gun rights activist from Newtown told me he needs an AR15 to defend himself from a tyrannical government. I told him the CIA has drones with missiles. Hellfire R9X/“knife bomb”/“flying Ginsu” was used to kill al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahri.
She and Duke Nukem should really get together, when he isn’t banging Fang Fang.
I could mention some logistical issues with this cunning plan. These things apparently run $150,00 a pop. Just how many does the “CIA” have in inventory? Millions; to go after millions of AR owners?
Then there’s the targeting problem. Where do you aim them? At whom? She’s from Connecticut, so maybe she’s simply stupid enough to think every state registers “assault weapons” like Connecticut. (And bless your heart. How’d that work for you?)
How long do you suppose the government would last if it let the CIA conduct Hellfire strikes on millions of gun owners with going on 25 MILLION AR/AKs?
How long would fed officials live after they started bombing neighborhoods? How long would those genocidal goons advocating war on Americans — like Ms. Murray herself — last?
Collateral damage much? Even assuming they hit the “right” target, and not a wedding party or relief worker hauling water. The occasional accidental school strike, with more dead kids than Sandy Hook,just might sour a few antigun parents on Murray’s schemes.
Funny how these wannabe-tyrants always respond to “We need protection against the government” with “Damned right you do“.

I loved your last point, about how the anti gun idiots respond to patriots saying that we need guns to protect ourselves from government. That the anti gun people actually prove our point seems to allude their best and brightest.
It seems that their best and brightest are not all that bright. And if that is the best that they have, it is little wonder that they are losing the battle against what was one of the most basic of American values from before America was even a thing.
With the Supreme Court ruling on the 2nd amendment recently being handed down, I see it as a big broomstick slamming down on a bed, and the bedbugs are scrambling to stay relevant. Fortunately, the only thing that most of them can do, is to try and pass laws that are flagrantly against the SCOTUS ruling, and likely the Court knew this would happen, and is watching and waiting to hit them with some form of censure. The wording on the ruling was strongly worded so there was no ambiguity, a very well written and fact checked opinion. The Court could make a strong statement with their response to New York and California, and the laws that they are passing. Time will tell whether or not John Roberts is willing to help with such a move.
In point of fact, we don’t need ARs and AKs, although the magazine capacity is nice. Americans have every battle rifle from every country that ever went on the surplus market, from WWI and before to date. In the US that would include trap door Springfields, Krags, .30-06 Springfields, Enfields, M1 Garands, and M1 carbines. Then there are our own civilian designs for hunting in incredible variety and profusion,, like .30-30 lever actions. There can be, as Admiral Yamamoto once warned, “a rifle behind every blade of grass.”
