Anti-Semitism is on the rise. No doubt about it, while the left likes to try to blame it on the right politically, that doesn’t pan out. There are no politicians on the right, and most people on the right are not saying the sorts of thing the elected demoncrats in office have espoused. The #Demoncrats seem to be trying to do their best to move as far left towards G-dless communism and have put their far left members, such as “The Squat” in the driver seat. And that may be partly why the left hates Jews, we are suppose to be spreading the light and knowledge of G-d’s handbook for this world known as Torah, or Bible and they are determined to try to eliminate G-d from the conversation. Anyone’s conversation. Communism and socialism are G-dless religions, and so, the left loves those political doctrines. The dark doesn’t want the light, it makes the dark disappear.
There have been several attacks on religious communities lately. For a list of anti-Semitic attacks, including Synagogue attacks there is this, a list of attacks on Jewish institutions.
It includes Poway and Squirrel Hill. But the carnage at Poway was far lower than it could have been. And it was far lower than at Squirrel Hill. Chabad in Poway had armed congregants, Squirrel Hill didn’t.
Within a similar time frame there were also attacks on churches in Texas. The one in Sutherland Springs Texas was stopped by a neighbor who heard the gun shots and ran out the door with his AR-15. Not his shoes, but his AR. Man had his priorities straight. He stopped the murderer. The one in White Settlement near Ft. Worth was stopped by a member of the Church Security team. But he was one of several members on the Security team. Back to the days of New Life Church and Jeanne Asssam, there have been highly publicized incidents of armed citizens stopping killers intent on wiping out life.

No word on if he’s giving up his own armed security. But then, he’s “special” you, are not. Bless his little heart. One more reminder he it totally unfit to be President of the United States of America.
Even more recently the attack on a Kosher Deli in Jersey City, which was originally an attack planned for the Synagogue attached.
But New York has strict gun control there, so Jews and other law-abiding citizens are supposed to be safe!

Towards the end of the segment she is interviewing Shifra Hoffman, founder of Victims of Arab Terror. They are both discussing that all Jews need to be armed, and we need to secure our Synagogues, we must learn to fight and be prepared to do so. You’ll love listening to Shifra, she really tells it as it is. Shifra is strong on making Aliyah, to put it mildly.

This social media thing is interesting. There is a writer for Arutz Sheva that I enjoy. I read a couple of columns, followed him on Twitter and we are in each others network on LinkedIn. Moshe Phillips, the writer, has done some strong columns, as you can see. He is also the National Director of the U.S. division of Herut North America.
This lead to Moshe reaching out to us to see if we could help with publicizing a Synagogue Security toolkit. It is done by Herut, and there goal is to make it much harder to successfully attack a Synagogue. As Pat Parelli says, “Prior and proper planning prevent pee poor performance.” And this time it will save lives as well. There is also advice and things to think about in your daily life, not just at Shul. Life is precious, all attempts must be made to preserve it from those that attempt to steal it. Talk to your leadership today, have them get the book, if you’re in leadership, get it yesterday.
This situation turned out as well as it did because they planned, and they had a team in placed. Be prepared to respond. Someone used to say “A gun is like a parachute. You may only need it once, but if you do need it, you will need it very very badly”.

So here to compel you to vote for Bucket-head Biden is an amazing argument! Oh, I just read it’s suppose to be “lunch bucket Joe”. I however feel “bucket-head Biden” is a much more accurate phrase, and it’s my column, so I’ll go with that.
The Demoncratic kandidates for President seem to be in competition with each other for who can deny law abiding citizens the most of their rights. Who can expand the government the most, seize more money for redistribution and prevent citizens from protecting themselves against some of the prisoners they propose to unleash upon society. Bucket head is quite proud of some of his legislative efforts!
The Results of Biden’s “Gun Free” efforts
Bucket Head Lunch Bucket was recently in the news to explain to America why it doesn’t need more than 10 rounds. Bucket Head explains to a hunter why no one needs 100 clips in their gun and “cop-killer” bullets to go hunting. One hundred clips? How does that even work? I mean, where would you hold the gun? I don’t believe for a minute Bucket-head has friends that hunt. If they were his friends they would at least make sure he used proper terminology. I would think. And if they hunted they wouldn’t really be friends with Bucket-head, I wouldn’t think. Sorry, I can’t embed the video on this one.
But Bucket-head has a long and proud history of giving sensible gun ownership advice.

So Jill, “You can’t tell me that your children are proud of the President, of the things he says…” Well, Jill, if I can be honest here, and since it’s my column, I can, let’s just talk about some of the things your husband says, shall we? Yes, we shall.

Bucket-head apparently prepared for this conversation/threat with Israeli PM Menachem Begin as well as he prepares for anything. Which is to say, he didn’t. He decided to threaten Menachem Begin with a cut to Israeli aide if Israel didn’t do what he wanted. This was during the height of the Lebanon war and he decided to tell Begin Jews must stop living in Judea and Shomron. Apparently he had no idea of Begin’s character, courage, life of family history, and so he made the threats. Prime Minister Begin responded.
“Don’t threaten us with cutting off your aid. It will not work. I am not a Jew with trembling knees. I am a proud Jew with 3,700 years of civilized history. Nobody came to our aid when we were dying in the gas chambers and ovens. Nobody came to our aid when we were striving to create our country. We paid for it. We fought for it. We died for it. We will stand by our principles. We will defend them. And, when necessary, we will die for them again, with or without your aid.”
Bucket-head reiterated his points by pounding on the desk. PM Begin answered
“This desk is designed for writing, not for fists. Don’t threaten us with slashing aid. Do you think that because the US lends us money it is entitled to impose on us what we must do? We are grateful for the assistance we have received, but we are not to be threatened. I am a proud Jew. Three thousand years of culture are behind me, and you will not frighten me with threats. Take note: we do not want a single soldier of yours to die for us.”
So how’s about Jill? You proud of your husband? You proud of his and his Anti-semitic party’s stance on Jews living in the Jewish state of Israel? Or has he “evolved”? He now only supports Illan Omar and Rashida Tliar in their Jew hatred part of the time? You and Bucket-head proud to tell the kids, “Daddy sure showed those Jews!”
Menachem Begin, righteous warrior. We need him today, he is inspiring and truthful. I’d put him up against anyone in the Anti-semitic Demoncrat party any day. Bucket-head Biden and the Squat wouldn’t stand a chance.
The 9th of Av, Tisha B’Av, was actually on Saturday, but since we do not allow anything to interfere with Sabbath joy, the fasting and observance is moved to the next day. The 9th of Av was observed (not really celebrated) on the 10th of Av this year. The 9th of Av is the saddest of days, it has a long history of tragedy going to back to when the spies came back from the land of Israel and slandered it by lying and saying they could never take the land, there were giants, and, and, and. Only Joshua and Caleb spoke well and truthfully about it. The people unwisely believed the other 10 of the spies. Sort of like people who today chose to believe the mainstream media #MSM with their #FakeNews. Just because a lot of them are saying it doesn’t make it true.
I recently watched a video a fellow writer (thank you Y.B.) sent me of The Rebbe discussing antisemitism.
It was very interesting. I guess The Rebbe really never talked about it that much. He absolutely knew it was real, and his family had been a victim of it more than once. He believed we need to first rely on G-d. If G-d doesn’t guard the home (or nation) the guard keeps watch in vain. First we must make sure G-d is guarding the home, and thereafter we must hire the guards for “we may not rely on miracles”. Everything must have a foothold in nature. And once we’re doing everything physically possible through the laws of nature- indeed that’s the Torah way, the verse states G-d will bless you in all you do. Lest you think you can sit and await G-d’s salvation. The verse emphasizes in all that you do, you must work within the laws of nature. This is a part I want to talk about. Another part was when he talked about the way to influence a group of people to stop being antisemitic is to work with those at the top of the movement, not so much the people involved in it, but the leaders of it. This worked in the case of the Crown Heights Riots.
This is not working out well within the Demoncratic party. These are from a variety of sources.
Any attempts to confront the leaders with statements made or positions or actions take are met with howls of “raaaaccciissstttt”. Even though no one is talking about their race, only their actions.

Nobody howls about that, no one is calling those countries apartheid or racist, or oppressive. Even if they are. In fact, no matter how any arab country treats Jews, Christians, Gays, or women, or dogs. Not a word is said. Odd that, eh? Only Jewish Israel.
But back to the Rebbe’s talk, it’s only if G-d is guarding the house, and Demoncrats are also doing their best to throw him out of the country, and life.
The destruction of the two Temples, both on the 9th of Av was horrific. The siege of Jerusalem was horrific. The results of those tragedies are still felt today. Jews are not allowed to pray on Har HaBeit, and often not allowed to visit on special holy days as muslims always seem to come up with a muslim holiday to co-opt the day. And sadly, Bibi always seems to cave to the muslims. If you want to talk about cultural appropriation, here ya go. An appeal to moderate Arabs on Tisha Be Av. Nope it’s not your imagination that mosques often seem to be built of top of churches and synagogues the muslims have destroyed. Remember when they wanted to build on at the site of the attack on the Twin Towers? Yeah, there was a reason for that.
So first we make sure G-d is guarding the house, then we hire the guards. For many of us, we are the guards. We are our own first responders. Except those on the left that hate Jews, Israel, conservatives, Christians and anything in a MAGA red hat want to disarm everyone. They keep telling us how much safer we will all be if only everyone is disarmed of any means of defending themselves and their families. And it just can’t wait. San Fran Nan is demanding everyone come back from recess to enact gun control, President Trump’s knee is jerking. Everyone must be disarmed. Right. Now. Why? I’ve wondered if the left is so insistent that people be disarmed because inside they know they can’t be trusted with weapons. Do they feel if they had a gun they would shoot someone over a parking space? Bit by bit as Trump derangement syndrome grows their masks are coming down. The violence against Trump supporters, or anyone they feel is a conservative grows. There was a new movie slated to come out of September 27th, The Huntwhich shows liberals hunting down and killing Trump supporters for sport. This is totally acceptable to the left and Hollyweird. I understand it may not be released then in light of the recent attacks by leftists that left so many dead. Again, you know why I don’t go to movies. It’s Universal studio if you’re curious.
Anytime there is an attempt to render one group of people defenseless, it is not going to turn out well. When only the government has weapons, it is not going to turn out well. I’ve heard it said “If your sitting at the poker table wondering who the mark is, it’s you”, or something along those lines.

Sixteen of the 17 representatives who voted no were Demoncrats, one was Republican, Thomas Massie from Kentucky. WTH?? Four out of the five who voted present also were Democrats. The only non-Democrat who voted present was Rep. Justin Amash, an Independent.

So I can’t stand by and watch this attack on our freedom of speech and the right to boycott the racist policies of the government and the state of Israel. I love our country’s freedom of speech, Madam Speaker. Dissent is how we nurture democracy.”

Earlier in the day, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) criticized the resolution, saying, “It sets a dangerous precedent because it attempts to delegitimize certain people’s political speech and to send a message that our government can and will take action against speech it doesn’t like”
During the 40-minute floor debate on the resolution, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) said the BDS movement “promotes a one-sided view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that seeks to marginalize Israel, that would deny the Jewish people the right of national self-determination.” He added, “Participating in an international commercial effort that undermines Israel’s legitimacy and scuttles the chances of a two-state solution isn’t the same as an individual exercising First Amendment rights.”
After the vote, Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV) tweeted, “Displays of anti-Semitism have become too frequent in the past few months, even from members of this House of Representatives—and it is time that we stand united in support of Israel.”
Of course we know my opinion of the “two state solution”. That is already in place. It’s called Gaza, where rockets and fire balloons are launched into Israel.
She compared the BDS movement to the American boycott of Nazi Germany.
“The right to boycott is deeply rooted in the fabric of our country,” she said. “What was the Boston Tea Party but a boycott? Where would we be now without the boycott led by the civil rights activists in the 1950s and 60s like the Montgomery bus boycott and the United Farm Workers Grape boycott?”
She then pivoted to the history of Americans boycotting foreign government, saying, “Americans boycotted Nazi Germany in response to dehumanization, imprisonment, and genocide of Jewish people.”
She claimed in May that “Palestinian Arabs living in the British Mandate prior to the establishment of the State of Israel “provided” a safe haven to Jews after the Holocaust.” Look up Hevron massacre 1929 if you are unsure why I’m angry about that particular statement.
“There’s always kind of a calming feeling when I think of the tragedy of the Holocaust,” Tlaib said, “that it was my ancestors, Palestinians, who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence, in many ways, has been wiped out … in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-Holocaust, post-tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that in many ways.”
It seems that the two anti-Semites, Omar (whom I don’t think is married to her brother this week, though she isn’t saying) and Tlaib are planning on visiting Israel.
I really like Sha’i ben-Tekoa’s solution. Let them enter Israel through the Hamass terror tunnels, they’ll feel right at home. He also has a great itinerary for them. Ripping good show with some American History on Thomas Jefferson.
But there are people that disagree. While they are not calling out the pile of Tlaib by name, their actions say she’s liar liar pants on fire.
Who are these people? Arabs. Specifically Arabs in other countries. It seems the Falestinians are beginning to get on everyone’s last nerve.

Israel is the only democratic state in our area. We don’t see any other free and democratic governments in the area. We are looking for a free Syria that will be just like Israel. The region has changed in favor of a new alliance. Any government has to make good relations with Israel if they want their country to be free and democratic and for their people to live with dignity and to have a good life. Therefore, we condemn Palestinian terrorist practices against Israeli civilians and those who support Israel.”

Mendi Safadi, who heads the Safadi Center for International Diplomacy, Research, Public Relations and Human Rights, added that many people in the Arab world are waking up and discovering not only how the Palestinian Authority and Hamas have abandoned the Syrian people but also have been taking hostile actions against Saudi Arabia. He noted that the Saudis are greatly disturbed with Hamas and the Islamic Jihad for building a relationship with Iran.
Safadi stressed that the Saudis view Iran to be their number one enemy for the Houthis, Iran’s proxy in Yemen, have fired rockets at Saudi Arabia. In addition, they view Iran’s nuclear program to be a major threat to the Saudi Kingdom and its regional sphere of influence. In light of this, many Saudis are greatly disturbed over the fact that many Palestinians don’t share their hostile perception of the Iranian regime and are actually working in order to have a good relationship with Iran.
According to Safadi, another factor that disturbs the Saudis is the popularity of the Muslim Brotherhood among Palestinians. The Saudis consider the Muslim Brotherhood to be a terrorist organization. In light of this, they are not huge fans of Hamas, which is essentially the Palestinian Arab branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that people such as Palestinians have no other option than to “riot” because they are “marginalized” by Israel — drawing swift outrage from Jewish advocacy groups.

Radio host Ebro Darden prompted the discussion with Ocasio-Cortez by saying there are a number of “corrupt” governments — lumping together Israel, the United States, Russia and Saudi Arabia — which he claimed are “working in concert.”
He went on to assert that young Jewish people are against the “Palestine occupation” and would like to see the ouster of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Darden also ranted about “white supremacist Jews” and said it’s “something most people can’t wrap their brains around.”
“And what’s going on with Israel and Palestine, while it’s very, very deep, it is very, very criminal, and it is very, very unjust,” he said.
Ocasio-Cortez agreed, saying, “Absolutely.”
“I think, too, where we’re at as a country when it comes to Israel-Palestine is very much a generational issue,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
One person is responsible, the one who pulled the trigger. Not the gun. But the very anti-Semitic goon “squad” is certainly doing their best to incite hatred with their lies. It seems many in the Arab world are realizing that the Falestinians are a lie and are tired of them, and their lies. How many Americans will still buy the lies and that pile of Tlaib that she and the rest of the goon squad are dishing out?
Well, the 14th is recognized as Israeli Independence day יום העצמאות, Yom HaAtzmaut and in 1948 the 5th of Iyar was. This year it was not, this year it was the 10th of May. I was fortunate enough to be at a table in my local JCC, nope I wasn’t eating. The Shaliach (emissary from the Jewish Federation) asked if I would like to teach about Israel at Yom HaAtzmaut. Oh yes! YES!! What did he want me to teach, since I am pretty sure there are far better qualified, though perhaps not more enthusiastic. I ended up having a table with a map and some post cards from Israel dating back to the 60s and 70s, as well as some of my own photos. I have an idea for a presentation I would like to work up and have on hand for the future. I called my presentation “Israel Past and Present”. I met some very interesting people, and had a great time. I loved it, just loved it.
In my Hebrew class we learn all kinds of things, and in one lesson my teacher who grew up on a Kibbutz was teaching us a song that was in our school book. It’s called Boker Boker Ba. It means “Morning morning comes”.
It you want a real treat you can listen to this one, I think she said it was recorded on a Kibbutz. The words of the song are basically about celebrating morning coming because they were going off to work on the kibbutz, lunch was for a meal, evening was to rest and at night they assembled. She explained that they were just so glad to have land of their own, that they couldn’t wait to get up of a morning to go work it. I might mention in a kibbutz no one actually owns land, it’s owned by the kibbutz. Many of the Jews that came to Israel came from communist and socialist counties where they hadn’t been allowed to own land, and they were used to the big government where no one owns anything. So, according to the Falestinian lip flapper, no, not sarsour, the other one, tlaib, those Jews coming after the Holocaust are among the first Jews in Israel. Tlaib #AntisemiticLiar and omar #AntisemiticLiar seem to be having a contest as to who can spout the most outrageous lies, then claim persecuted victim status the quickest. This last week I guess it was tlaib. One of my favorite writers, Jack Engelhard has picked up on their pattern.

They didn’t own the land, they worked it for the Turks. The Ottoman census of 1875 has Jews listed as the population majority of Jerusalem, by 1905 Jews made up two thirds of the population majority of Jerusalem. This has a lot of interesting goodies.
So tlaib shoots off her ignorance, and shares her comforting feelings about the Holocaust and Republicans including President Trump are outraged. Steny Hoyer and San Fran Nancy Pelosi were outraged as well, outraged I say! At Republicans and President Trump, not tlaib, her they stood up for.
Predictably, tlaib rushed to get her “victimhood prize” happy meal.

Hevron & Safed riots
There were riots in Israel in 1929, for example in Hevron (and here) and Safed. Long before 1948 when she was attacked by the five arab nations at once after Ben-Gurion declared statehood. Today is the 14th day of Adar, a month of joy. I would add a month of triumph as well. The story of Esther is interesting for many reasons, one of them is there are no open miracles, in fact the name of G-d doesn’t appear in the story at all. The miracles of the story are evident only in hindsight. It can be that way in our everyday lives as well. Things that are absolute miracles are only seen clearly when we look backwards.
The Shabbat before Purim is known as Shabbat Zachor, and after we heard our regular lesson on Parashat Vayikra, we then read how the Amalekites attacked us as we left Egypt. Devarim/Deuteronomy 25:17-19
17You shall remember what Amalek did to you on the way, when you went out of Egypt,
18how he happened upon you on the way and cut off all the stragglers at your rear, when you were faint and weary, and he did not fear God.
19[Therefore,] it will be, when the Lord your God grants you respite from all your enemies around [you] in the land which the Lord, your God, gives to you as an inheritance to possess, that you shall obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens. You shall not forget!
The morning of Purim service also includes a special reading from Shemot/Exodus 17:8-16
8 Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
9 So Moses said to Joshua, Pick men for us, and go out and fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand
10 Joshua did as Moses had told him, to fight against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur ascended to the top of the hill.
11 It came to pass that when Moses would raise his hand, Israel would prevail, and when he would lay down his hand, Amalek would prevail.

So what’s the deal with Amalek? They hated the Jews, a senseless, baseless hatred. And, Haman the minister who wanted the Jews annihilated was descended from Amalek. Shocker that eh?
I would maintain the spirit of Amalek is alive and well these days. The picture are the right are from a parade in Belgium a week or so ago. The ones on the left?

And despite the outcry, the mayor of the town of Aalst (that’s not how I spell asshat, must be a Belgium spelling) defended the display of Jews atop bags of money, one holding a white rat, one with a white rat on his shoulder.
The mayor of the town defended the display. Of course. It was followed by a couple of floats with dancers dressed the same. One thing that I noticed is many of the “dancers” appeared young, grade school or junior high perhaps. So, they thought this up? The hitler youth is alive and well? The kids were raised by Ilan Omar? What?
The annual carnival where the display appeared was added in 2010 to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO. The organization has not replied to numerous critical questions about the Aalst event on social media and on Tuesday had not issued any statement on the subject.
At this parade in 2013 a different group made a float entry of a nazi railway car, with nazis and Ultra-Orthodox Jews.
Nope, no UN condemnation, although back then UNESCO did harumph about the poster of the Belgium politicians holding cans of Zyklon B.
Perhaps Belgium, and the mayor of asshat Aalst should remember the magnificent ending of the Purim story. Purim means lots, and that’s how the wicked Haman chose the day to exterminate the Jews, he threw lots. The 13th of Adar was the day that all the Jews were to be exterminated. Didn’t go as Haman planned.
“How can I endure to see the evil that will come unto my people? How can I endure to witness the destruction of my kindred?” Esther cried in anguish.
The King was deeply moved, and he wanted to allay her grief. Unfortunately, it was not so easy to rescind the decree, for it was sent out by order of the King, in his name, bearing the King’s own seal. Such a decree was irrevocable.
Finally, a plan was hit upon. A new decree was to be issued in the name of the King, declaring that Haman had abused the King’s confidence by issuing falsified decrees. Instead of issuing decrees to do away with the persecution of the Jews throughout the vast Persian empire, as was the King’s intention and desire, the treacherous Haman had ordered the extermination of the loyal Jewish subjects! A further proof of the King’s displeasure with Haman was the fact that Haman had been executed by the King’s express command.
Once again the King’s scribes were called, and the new decrees were prepared, this time dictated by Mordechai himself. The documents were immediately dispatched by royal couriers riding on swift steeds to all the governors and princes of the 127 provinces of the Persian Empire, from India to Ethiopia. By these royal decrees, permission was granted to the Jews to gather on the thirteenth day of Adar and defend themselves against their enemies, and to attack and slay all those who would assault them.
The news of the great salvation of the Jews spread like lightning to the remotest comers of the Persian Empire, and the Jews were now treated with respect.
When the thirteenth day of Adar arrived, the day on which the Jews were to be slain and exterminated by Haman and his evil forces, the Jews gathered in the public places of each town and hamlet. By order of the King, they sentenced to death all those who had revealed themselves as enemies. Throughout the kingdom of Persia, seventy five thousand would-be murderers were executed, and five hundred more in Shushan. All ten sons of Haman were likewise executed.
The King brought the news to Esther. “I have but one more request to make,” she said. “There are still many dangerous enemies at large in Shushan. They must be executed or there can be no peace in the land. Let tomorrow also be set aside for a day of judgment in Shushan over the enemies of our people who are also the enemies of all mankind. And may the bodies of Haman’s ten sons be hanged on the gallows.”
Esther’s request was immediately granted.
And so while the Jews outside Shushan celebrated their victory on the fourteenth of Adar, the Jews of Shushan were still grimly engaged that day in the task of ridding the city of the villains and murderers. Only on the following day did they celebrate the great and miraculous salvation.
Mordechai, now dressed in magnificent royal robes, became the King’s viceroy and closest advisor. He served the King and his own people with humility and devotion.
From that time, the fourteenth day of Adar was consecrated as the festival of Purim, to commemorate the great miracle of our people’s salvation, and the downfall of the wicked Haman.
Today we do not need a King’s permission to defend our lives. We have the King of the Universe who gave us life, and he says we are to defend it. Perhaps Belgium should remember what happened to Haman and his sons.

A week or so ago one of our Zelman Partisans facebook readers sent me a copy of a letter from Oregon ceasefire, a victim disarmament group.
Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, today I shall address the situation.
Letter from Oregon Ceasefire
I had seen an alert from Oregon’s Firearms Federation about the mask being off, but I hadn’t been aware of other very serious things that were going on with this gun rights organization. But after I read the letter from Oregon Ceasefire, my eyes were opened! It seems Oregon Firearms Federation is antisemitic according to Oregon Ceasefire! I am shocked an appalled. Antisemitism is one the rise everywhere, from Jews in Francistan that can no longer wear a Kippah in public safely to the US where two muslim women have been elected to congress. One of whom supports BDS and has made antisemitic tweets about “Israel hypnotizing the world” and the other has covered up the one Jewish state on her map with the name of a country created in 1964, same year as the Beatles by the way. Indeed, this charge of a Second Amendment rights group being antisemitic needed investigation! So, I did.
I wrote both groups, and asked what incident lead to such a charge?
I wrote Oregon Firearms Federation first. Please note, I’m not a reporter, I’m a columnist and so I have no guilt over telling them to keep up the good work.

It’s a few days later now, I’ve heard back from Oregon Firearms Federation(OFF), I have not heard back from Oregon Ceasefire.
It seems according to Oregon Firearms Federation the charge was prompted by a page that OFF had on their web site.
Ah! Indeed the images are horrific. Horrible images of the Holocaust, please G-d may such a thing never happen again. A sane person would never want to see such images mar the pages of history. If you have a pipe freeze and break in your house due to a air leak that can reach a pipe (speaking from experience here) one would do their best to assure that such conditions will not re-occur by sealing the leak. They would not get a hammer and enlarge the hole. But then I’m me, and the hole got sealed. Oregon Ceasefire is not me. They choose to grab that hammer. It’s worth noting that when Oregon Firearms Federation emailed me back, they informed me that the page had been up for months, and apparently in an attempt to get their name back in the news, Oregon Ceasefire notified the media who promptly called the “experts” in their Rolodex that will recite what they want to hear. But please note that the Rabbi in question Michael Z Cahana has 180 degree different opinion on these matters than another Rabbi Kahane, who’s motto was “Every Jew a .22”. Rabbi Meir Kahane HY’’D הי״דto be exact. So Rabbi Cahana in favor of defenseless victims, most certainly does not speak for us all.
But back to the matter at hand, one of the pieces of legislation, victim disarmament if you want to call it what it is, is SB0501 according to OFF.

Alrighty, now let’s take a look at some actual nazi (no, they still don’t get capital letters) gun laws.
Straight from the Book “Gun Control” Gateway to Tyranny. Let’s have a look-see, shall we? See if anything looks familiar. Remembering that the Gun Control Act of 1968 was based on nazi weapons control laws of 1938, Sen. Chris Dodd’s -D daddy Sen. Thomas Dodd -D had a copy of the nazi weapons laws that he had translated. It was on those laws that he based his gun control act.

As Aaron points out in the book, these gun control laws are immoral. Because they treat the law abiding citizen in this manner as a reaction to acts committed by criminals. Torah absolutely supports self-defense. Too many blather “Thou shalt not kill”. NO, and more no. It says “Thou shalt not MURDER”. Not the same thing.
So the virtue signaling Oregon Ceasefire chooses to ignore (or never learned) history. Let’s do a brief recap shall we?
In 1931, Weimar authorities discovered plans for a Nazi takeover in which Jews would be denied food and persons refusing to surrender their guns within 24 hours would be executed. They were written by Werner Best, a future Gestapo official. In reaction to such threats, the government authorized the registration of all firearms and the confiscation thereof, if required for “public safety.” The interior minister warned that the records must not fall into the hands of any extremist group.
In 1933, the ultimate extremist group, led by Adolf Hitler, seized power and used the records to identify, disarm, and attack political opponents and Jews. Constitutional rights were suspended, and mass searches for and seizures of guns and dissident publications ensued. Police revoked gun licenses of Social Democrats and others who were not “politically reliable.”
During the five years of repression that followed, society was “cleansed” by the National Socialist regime. Undesirables were placed in camps where labor made them “free,” and normal rights of citizenship were taken from Jews. The Gestapo banned independent gun clubs and arrested their leaders. Gestapo counsel Werner Best issued a directive to the police forbidding issuance of firearm permits to Jews.
On October 4, 1938, Nazi police arrested one Alfred Flatow in Berlin. His crime: being a Jew in lawful possession of a firearm. Lawful because he had dutifully registered his guns in January 1932, complying with the pre-Hitler anti-firearm decrees of the Weimar Republic. The arresting police were probably unaware that Flatow won Gold and Silver medals for Germany in the 1896 Olympics. He had also served in the German army in the 1890s.

The Nazis also moved to control others who possessed weapons. Despite protests, the government banned all voluntary “shooting clubs” (Schuetzenvereine) in Germany. These clubs were popular forms of recreation across the nation, and many club leaders opposed the ban and even expressed objections to the Nazi government. As Hitler was rapidly centralizing and broadening his powers, he dissolved all local and independent shooting and sports clubs on May 10, 1933. Two weeks later, he created the Nazi-controlled German Shooting Sport Association (Deutscher Schiesssportverband), which became another mouthpiece for the Nazi government and, with war on the horizon, a source of males already trained in marksmanship.
So many of the laws advocated by Oregon Ceasefire have been implemented. What did that lead to?
I’ll let the witnesses tell you themselves.

I understand that part of the reason Oregon Ceasefire reached out to Der Stürmer, the media was because they are losing relevance since Michael Bloomberg began shoveling money into Mad Mommies, his favorite astro-turf group. So, if all guns are evil and people will be safer if they are all banned he will no doubt be glad when that happy day comes right? Um, no. Seems Bloomberg is a elitist hypocrite.
“When you have a city that has the murder rate that Baltimore has, I think it’s ridiculous to think that they shouldn’t be armed,” Bloomberg said of the Hopkins security force.

A group of Hopkins students called Students Against Private Police expressed dissatisfaction with Bloomberg’s remarks. In a statement, the group said Bloomberg’s support for a private, armed police force is at odds with his other work to promote gun control
Just an FYI: The Bloomberg School of Public Health is located at John Hopkins. There moulders the academic wing of Bloomberg’s Center for Gun Policy and Research, anti-self defense, of course.
I’m actually shocked, I mean Baltimore has a Demoncrat Mayor a very strict gun control as it is. Why on earth is Bloomberg worried about high crime?
Michael Bloomberg, to quote Aaron Zelman, is a “Bagel brain”.
So, in conclusion. Is Oregon Firearms Federation antisemitic? No. They oppose laws that enabled the brutality of the Holocaust, and if you’ve forgotten just how brutal it was, or never learned, that page reminds you. A post on my Zehut list mentioned a poll conducted by Schoen Consulting found that 11% of all US adults and 22% of millennials haven’t ever heard of the Holocaust. Perhaps Oregon Ceasefire is one of them.
Is Oregon Ceasefire Antisemitic? I think so. If you can compare what they are advocating with what nazi Germany had for gun laws and the persist in doing so, I would say yes they are. I believe as you look at the rise of antisemitism world wide it’s imperative that Jews learn to shoot and be ready to do so.
To that end I reached out to one of my favorite groups, Cherev Gidon. In the wake of the Pittsburgh Synagogue attack they came on my radar. I asked a simple question, Why do you do what you do? Why are you teaching Jews and others to shoot and how to defend themselves?
Yonatan, director and founder was kind enough to answer me.
Cherev Gidon Israeli Tactical Training Academy exists for the purpose of training American Jews with Israeli combat shooting skills, so that every American Jewish community will be well armed and professionally trained with the ability to mount an effective defense against any violent attack on any Jewish community (as we saw in Pittsburgh). Every day of the week and twice on Shabbat. When I wrote OFF back and thanked them for answering me, I made a comment.
Happy Hanukkah! The story that celebrates the victory of the Maccabees, a Jewish Priestly family from Modiin that aren’t Israeli, didn’t live in Israel and they defeated the Greek empire that wanted to force them to abandon their faith, their heritage and their G-d.
If I were going to write the story today I would cast Jewish Voices for Peace, J street, If Not Now, B’Tselem, and leftist Jews as the Hellenistic Jews of the Hanukkah story. Because they work against Israel and those that want to live life according to Torah. It’s kind of interesting to me, I recently took a class called “Wrestling With Faith” in it we talked about the Mitzvot. The 613 little holy bread crumbs G-d gave to leave a path for us to follow to find him. You want to get to know someone? You ask him or her questions about themselves, and sometimes getting that information is like pulling teeth. G-d plays no such games with us. He says these things I like, these things I don’t like. You want to make me smile? You want to show you are a child who listen to their father? These are house rules. Which kind of baffles me when people tell me they don’t matter anymore. Maybe I just haven’t found the Parasha where it says G-d changed him mind about those. But that was the point of the Hellenization. To separate the Jews from the things that G-d ask. It’s like doing everything the opposite of what your boss, significant other, spouse or coach says you should do and then expecting them to still feel the same way about you. It doesn’t usually play out that way. So Hellenization was meant to turn people from the worship of G-d to the worship of the human body, art, and pagan rituals. They wanted to convince the Jews living in Israel that they didn’t need to observe the new months, circumcision, Torah study, Shabbat observance. They wanted to drive a wedge between the people and G-d.

It definitely wasn’t safe to openly practice being a Jew in Israel at that time. As other times down through history different people of different nations have tried to eradicate Jews and their Judaism. It never began with cattle cars, concentration camps and ovens. It began with yellow stars and discrimination. At the end of WWII the world joined us in vowing #NeverAgain, and now there has been a self serving attempt to cheapen that phrase by a money grubbing, attention seeking political pawn who is protected by armed guards even as he oinks out that those that can’t afford paid protection be rendered defenseless. Little swine.
Did we think that would be the final attempt after the final solution? Well, it wasn’t.
One of the two new muslims elected to congress. She is leading a group to Israel, but not to visit Israeli Jews, Arabs, Christians and Druze. Nope, to visit the ancient people (est. 1964) Falestinians. The other muslim Ilhan Omar of Minnesota is also no friend.
Tlaib in the interview also came out in support of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, which she said brings attention to “issues like the racism and the international human rights violations by Israel right now.”
Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, the other Muslim woman elected to Congress in November, said in an interview shortly after the election that she supports the BDS movement after saying during her campaign that it was “counteractive” and prevents dialogue.
What do people not yet accept or understand about “taquia”?
One might think it’s becoming unsafe in America for Jews to openly admit or display their faith. One would be correct. From wonderful Jack Engelhard in a column titled Americas Hidden Jews. This whole column is well worth reading.

Of course not. It is flat out anti-semitism. Are they being called out for it. Nope.
Remember in the Hanukkah story how a Hellenized Jew was going to sacrifice a pig on the alter in Modiin since Matthias Maccabee refused to do so? Matthias killed the corrupted Jew, and then the King’s officer that was commanding such a thing. There would be no pigs sacrificed on alters in the Maccabee name. The Hellenized Jews were trying to corrupt the pure ones. They’re still active today.
American Jewish peace activists who have spent much of their lives fighting discrimination against ethnic minorities, have decided there is one form of discrimination they support: discrimination against Jews who reside in Judea-Samaria.
According to the leftist Jews, that most likely do celebrate Hanukkah, as most all Jews do celebrate Hanukkah, Modiin, land of the Maccabees, IS NOT IN ISRAEL. Nope. Who knew?

The Maccabeean revolt was a two fold war. One, it was incredible military victories, G-d gave many many miracles over the years the battles were fought. The other was the war of faith, religion or culture. However you choose to look at it.
I think I’m going to have to disagree with Lord Rabbi Jonathan Sacks this time. In his Hanukkah message this year he seems to me at least, to believe the great battle was for education, not military battles. I believe without the military battle of G-d through the Maccabees, there would have been no educational victories. To quote Dinesh D’Souza yesterday, he was discussing the difference between George H.W. Bush and President Trump. He said “sometimes you need Mother Teresa, and sometimes you need Dirty Harry”. I would add and sometimes, no one less than Judah Maccabee will do.
Holocaust memorial day was 27th January 2018. There were a lot of hashtags on Twitter, and I saw some good, thoughtful FaceBook posts. The hashtags #WeRemember #NeverAgain #Holocaust and #HolocaustMemorial were almost everywhere, but that could just be the people and groups I tend to follow.
But I think if we are really to honor the six million Jews and five million other souls lost in the Holocaust it should impact how we live today, the choices we make to an extent. If we look at it as to an extent they live on through us, I believe it applies. So you won’t be surprised I have a few random thoughts here.

It is really too much, Poland, telling us what to call your far too many accomplices to the annihilation of Jewish people during WWII, and your threatening everyone, even beyond the Polish borders, with fines and up to three years’ imprisonment.

My students are always hugely surprised at one point, every year – it is when I tell them of the vile anti-Semitism in Poland which swept the country in the late1960s and thereafter.
“How come? – they ask. – In Poland, after the war, just 10% of the Jewish population was left alive, 38.000 people out of 3.47 million before the war. After the war, another 160 000 Polish Jews were returned to Poland from the territory of the USSR, and 20-40 000 Jews came there from Germany. And then in 1968, new anti-Jewish hysteria burst out – so mightily, so widely spread and so violent that without any Nazis around, more than 90% of those poor 40.000 had to flee their homes and their country. His comments came amid an uproar over a bill approved by the Polish parliament that would outlaw public statements assigning to “the Polish nation” responsibility for crimes committed by Nazi Germany during its World War II occupation of Poland.

Whitewashing the wall of history will not change it. But it does make it easier to perpetuate again. As I’ve written before, there are schools in California teaching it didn’t happen. Are there already circumstances in motion that could be harbingers? I’m sure the Jews in Poland didn’t expect a burst of anti-Semitic activity following WWII, in the 50s and 60s. But it happened.
The anti-Semitism practiced by the Palestinian leadership of Mahmoud Abbas, a partner of Western countries, is now blatant. In Egypt, Abbas just said that European Jews during the Shoah chose to suffer “massacres” rather than emigrate to Palestine (no official European declaration condemned him).
A few days ago, in Brussels, Yuli Edelstein, president of the Knesset, condemned the hypocrisy of those who honor the memory but accuse Israel of “war crimes”, dialogue with Hamas and do not see the Jews who hide the star of David.
The leftist intelligentsia is the master of this clever anti-Semitism. In commemorating the Holocaust, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, a “friend” of Hamas and Hezbollah, “forgot” to mention the Jews.

You know, like denying the Holocaust and killing Israeli Jews and visiting Americans #TaylorForce. Abu Mazen has his panties in a twist that President Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol and is refusing to hand over American dollars that will be used to pay Arab killers and their families. For example the ones that recently killed Rabbi Raziel Shevah, father of six and paramedic volunteer. Abu Mazan was one of those that went to the family of the killer to pay a condolence call.

America, the sane part, sees them for what they are. But the Falestinians aren’t the only internal threat that Israelis face. Americans either for that matter. There are the infiltrators, my last column was on that. But some have compared the Holocaust survivors fleeing to Israel, to the infiltrators. They are not the same. And Israel is not treating the same as the British sinking boats of Jews coming to Israel. Yeah, the British, you know, like Jeremy Corbyn. Rabbi Ariel points out that what Israel is offering them, money and a ticket out is a good deal and does not conflict with the Torah. Just by the by, some of the Kibbutzim are offering to hide the infiltrators. Sound familiar? The Rabbi says, “you want them? Come and get them, but you are responsible for them”.
Dr. Michael Ben-Ari and Baruch Marzel arrived in southern Tel Aviv today and distributed leaflets to infiltrators in Tigrinya, the language spoken by natives of Eritrea and parts of Ethiopia.
The leaflets contain addresses and phone numbers of left-wing activists and Meretz MKs who have backed the demand by some infiltrators to be given legal status in Israel. Marzel and Ben-Ari encouraged infiltrators to avail themselves of the leftist activists’ “hospitality” personally by providing the activists’ personal contact information in mock invitations.

Liberals are counting on illegals to vote Democrat, which means millions of votes and never again will a Republican get into the White House, not even as a guest. Plus, Congress, both houses, will be filled by people who look and sound like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin; according to the plan Liberals have mapped out for themselves.

Wish I could use the Academic-Speak in which these deeply-funded STUDIES arrive, but being from the Hemingway, James M. Cain, Charles Bukowski school of writing, I don’t speak or write that language. But the “studies show” that countries that bring them in suffer from additional anti-Semitism, above the ho-hum Jew-hatred already in place.
In places such as Germany…and Sweden…and France…and England…and Belgium…and, well, to get back to Germany, six million Muslims (mostly men without women) got there since Merkel took over the country and the continent. “Studies show” that since then, anti-Semitism has spiked off-the-charts, and Jews foolish enough to stay there – or anywhere in Europe – desist from identifying themselves as Jews.
Everywhere in Western Europe it’s pretty much the same – but to know this we need Studies, Surveys, Statistics?
