Serbia requires a license to possess a firearm. The license requires a specific purpose; criminal, medical, and other background checks; three character references; and formal training and testing. Licenses are only good for five years, after which you have to go through the entire process again to renew. You must be at least eighteen years of age.
Serbians are limited to a total of 60 boxes of ammunition per year, and only ammunition for firearms they’re licensed to possess.
Serbia even has an “assault weapon” ban. Why, that’s almost a gun control paradise. No wonder these things don’t… oops.
All that, and this isn’t even an isolated Serbian mass shooting; plenty more.
But those killers were probably Trump supporters; right, Dims?

Spoiler: Right off the top, 40% were not school shootings at all. Let’s look at the details.
12/2/2019 Waukesha South High School Police shooting, legal intervention.
11/29/2019 Illinois Institute of Technology A man was shot and killed Friday near the Illinois Institute of Technology campus in Bronzeville on the South Side.
11/26/2019 Sarah J. Anderson Elementary School Vancouver Public Schools spokesperson Pat Nuzzo said the “targeted” shooting took place in the school parking lot at 3:15 p.m., but did not involve students or staff.
11/23/2019 Searles Elementary School The shootings of the boys, ages 11 and 14, took place in the parking lot of Searles Elementary School, CBS San Francisco reported. Callers to 911 reported hearing gunfire at around 1:30 a.m., the station said.
11/23/2019 Florida Memorial University Open party on campus, 10:15PM. Unidentified; unknown if students or staff, or just visiting partiers. Given the area, I imagine it was gang-related.
11/23/2019 Southern University at New Orleans A spokesperson with SUNO stated that the victim is not a student or employee of the university and that the university rents out the building to non-affiliates of the university.
11/23/2019 University of Louisville Three people were injured in a shooting Wednesday night near the University of Louisville, according to police.”
11/14/2019 Saugus High School A girl and a boy were killed and three of their classmates wounded when a fellow student opened fire on his birthday at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita Thursday morning, authorities said.
11/11/2019 Achievement Academy A 19-year-old male student was shot Monday afternoon outside Achievement Academy in northeast Baltimore.” Targeted attack on public street in front of school.
Four of ten were not on school grounds: 40% not school shootings, even by Everytown’s expansive definition.
One was a police officer stopping a crime. On campus, but not what most folks would think of as a school shooting.
Two more happened in school parking lots after hours, and did not involve students or staff. On campus, but not what most folks would think of as a school shooting.
One was an after-hours open party on a university campus. Victims not yet identified. Maybe, maybe not, but not what folks think of as a school shooting.
That leaves two shootings on high school campuses, involving students, and at school-related events.
You may recall that I object to Everytown inflating their count by including colleges and universities, when most folks think they’re talking about elementary and high schools. 40% of these are such (including three that weren’t actually on school grounds). I didn’t take the time to fact check the next ten entries, but seven of that ten are college/university, too. That’s 55%.

10/13/2019 Nashville TN Tennessee State University Student murdered in dorm.
School shooting, if you count college/university.
The score today:
3 of 7 of these don’t even meet Everytown’s crazed definition, leaving only 4. That gives them a generous 57.1% accuracy rate; much worse than last week.
There’s a non-student drug deal that was only coincidentally on — university — campus; strike that one: down to 42.9% accuracy.
If you limit it actual shootings at elementary or high schools — you know, where kids might be –, which is what most people think of when you say “school,” only 1 of 7 qualifies: 14.3% “accuracy.” And that one didn’t involve kids; they don’t even know when it happened because no one notice until they found a broken window.
And yet idiot journalists pushing an anti-rights agenda still cite these liars. And Bloomberg continues to pay Shannon Watts for this incompetence.

An occasional “hobby” of mine is fact checking the Everytown list of “school” shootings. It’s been awhile so I decided to try again.
Since they don’t actually link to supporting documentation for their claims, I have to — tediously — search for reports. So I only checked the ten most recent listings.
10/8/2019 Houston TX Westbury High School After hours, on campus. Not school-related, but it meets Everytown’s broad definition.
10/8/2019 Athens GA University of Georgia Accidentally shot himself. This counts; but personally I think they should separate out college/university incidents with adults.
9/29/2019 Buffalo NY Buffalo State College Off campus, . Not a school shooting.
9/19/2019 San Jose CA San Jose State University Parking structure. I’m not sure if it was on college campus; reports aren’t terribly clear. I’ll score this “maybe.”
9/12/2019 Manhattan KS Manhattan High School Off campus, after hours. Not a school shooting.
20% of the “school” shootings were not; not even by the expansive Everytown definition.
Another 10% was questionable. I think it was a parking structure near campus housing, but I’m not sure.
Of the seven remaining incidents, four were college/university, not what the uninformed would expect to be schools full of children. And two of those were only coincidentally on campus.
That leaves three real school shootings, involving minors in some way. One of those was only that minors were inside the building struck by a stray round from mobile shootout as the cars passed the school.
But technically, Everytown’s error rate is down to a mere 20%, or maybe 30%. Or 40% (intent matters; no one was trying to hit that school window). Or 60% wrong, if you don’t count the college shootings that had nothing to do with the colleges.
I’ll be generous and give them a 50% “correct” rate. That’s actually up since the last time we played.

By Everytown’s definition, all of these do count as school shootings. But half of them were essentially after hours street shootings involving non-students. Some on public streets that happen to be within a college campus radius. Another one was only a “school shooting” because a stray round — not intended for the school — hit a window after hours; I won’t count that, intent matters. So that’s 60% of Everytown’s “school shootings” that aren’t.
Now they’re down to 40%, as they scrape and dig desperately for scary numbers to drive their victim disarmament agenda.
A centralized listing of real school shootings — as normal, sane, unbiased people would understand the term — would be useful. Everytown can’t and won’t do that. Because adult thugs shooting each other on the weekend don’t scare parents and students as much as often-imaginary shootings in school.
But if Everytown decides they can and will provide decent data, they could use this definition:
A shooting which directly involves students, staff, or visitors to the school (not just someone on the property) on school property; at a school-sponsored event on school property; or where the school, students, or staff were intended targets on school property. After-hours incidents unrelated to the school other than location will not be included. Separate lists for high/middle/elementary schools and colleges/universities generally staffed and attended by adults will be maintained, to make more clear the threats to minors.
They could, but they won’t.

It’s time to play “What does Everytown pretend is a school shooting?” again.
Back in February, I fact-checked Everytown for Gun “Safety”‘s list of school shootings. 29% of their “school shootings” did not meet even their own definition.* Some weren’t shootings.
Having limited time to look up cases (Everytown conveniently — for them — does not provide supporting links for their claims, so it takes research to find the reports), I only checked the latest ten on the list. And I provide links so you can verify my findings.
Half — 50% — of Everytown’s “school shootings” are NOT school shootings even by their expansive definition.
Three — 30% do meet their definition, but happened after hours, involving people not associated with the school; that is deliberately misleading
Two cases — 20% are dubious. One was a guy shot as he fled towards the school; the killer certainly tried to get him before he jumped the fence. The other appears to be another of those not-during-school-hours, no-school-people-involved shootings, but since they apparently got the date wrong, maybe that isn’t what they’re listing; I found no shooting on the date they gave.
Everytown’s “school shooting” list has not improved. It has gotten far worse, far less accurate.
But lies are close enough for a victim-disarming agenda.
* “Everytown tracks every time a firearm discharges a live round inside or into a school building or on or onto a school campus or grounds, as documented by the press.”

The Parkland students “working” for gun controlmass human/civil rights violations want to have a rational discussion of their goals, without “threats”:
“Instigating.” Remind me again of who is calling innocent people murderers. “Instigating” is responding to false accusations and rights violations?
Grow up.
Never Again MSD was offered a a chance to state their goals, to describe the laws they think will accomplish them. The Zelman Partisans gave them the opportunity to have published a detailed column, without any redactions, edits, or commentary. Since it seemed unlikely they’d see that offer on our web site, we also reached out to them multiple times through emails, Twitter, Facebook, and even gab.ai. Their response?
-crickets-
So we tried again.
-crickets-
It occurred to me that, having grown accustomed to accommodating moderators and “journalists” prompting them, they might need a little help focusing. I reached out yet again with a request for a simple email interview. It wouldn’t even be interactive, where I could spring surprise questions on them. I provided a list of prepared questions to which they could provide carefully crafted answers without time pressure.
-crickets-
Please note that I have been unable to determine a single person authorized to speak for Never Again MSD, which provides them with deniability when some Parkland student who self-identifies as NA MSD makes vague, ludicrous, and irresponsible statements.
But perhaps I’m being unfair. After all, these are students who may be busy with cla… oh. Wait. These are former students who claim they won’t return to classes until our rights are shredded.
Still, they do seem to keep busy, with oddly nonadversarial interviews, in which the ” the moderator did not stop to challenge in what amounted to a circus show.”
David Hogg says white privilege is one of the biggest obstacles he’s faced in his anti-gun agenda,
…says the white kid getting a pass from the media.
Cameron Kasky says mass shootings like Parkland “happen everyday.”
…says one of the founders of NA MSD, who one might think speaks officially for the group. And who is blissfully unaware that school shootings are down. Even leftist NPR knows that.
These students do have time for interviews, or to pen a column outlining their… beliefs. But somehow they will only spend that time with over-friendly venues that won’t point out their empirical lack of clothes. Venues and “journalists” who enable their ignorance.
They’re afraid of being questioned, of being called out on facts. Afraid of anything but basking in their 15 minutes of lamestream media adoration.
That they won’t even try to state their goals with clarity and specificity indicates that they know they are pushing bullshit. They even refuse to name a spokesman who can be held to account.
The cowardly little schoolyardtruant bullies enjoy their life of lies too much to bravely face a less accepting commentariat.
Their only real convictions are that they are entitled to abuse and accuse the innocent, to trample on rights, and cry when someone disagrees.
[And poor little David Hogg appears to be giving up on going to college…
…what with all those rejection letters. Perhaps those colleges saw your interviews and concluded that you’re not very bright, and likely to be a campus troublemaker. That your education to date is inadequate for collegiate studies. Possibly even, they realized that under Florida law skipping too many days of class makes you ineligible for a diploma, and won’t waste a college slot on a drop-out. Funny thing…
Back in the day, I applied to several colleges. I was accepted by all of them. I went to then-Southwestern at Memphis on a partial scholarship. And I wasn’t a “brilliant” young “victim” on whose words CNN clung.]

I got an interesting email the other day. It was warning about a scam that seems to be very well funded and quite sophisticated. The goal of it seems to be to tarnish the reputation of firearms trainers and Second Amendment activists and leaders.
The set up is a documentary that is being filmed by a group calling themselves “First Freedom Television”. They say they are working on strategies to keep communities safer in the 21st century. That an Israeli security expert will be taking part, and that the “documentary” will be shown in Israel. Apparently the people that they asked to take part in it are treated to very lavish accommodations, travel expenses are paid and a driver is provided.
The first report you can read in it’s entirety here and comes from Philip Van Cleave the President of the Virginia Citizens Defense League. He said partway into the interview and demonstration his spidey senses were tingling. He said he was shown a video of a 4 year old in Israel who had used a gun to stop terrorists in his school.
….the interviewer was making claims about Israeli schools training selected children to use firearms from age 17 down to age 4 (!) as a last ditch effort in stopping a terrorist attack on a school if the teachers and security staff had been killed. The children would have codes to unlock secured firearms in such a case.
When I balked at 4-year-olds being able to do that, he showed me an alleged newscast video on his iPad. The text was in Hebrew, but with an English-speaking narration, talking about how a 4-year-old boy had indeed stopped a terrorist attack at his school. The newscast said that he killed two terrorists using his dad’s gun, which he had brought to school in his backpack to show a friend, in violation of school rules. Israeli Premier Netanyahu was touting him as a hero in the video.
Hmmm, interesting. The last time I was in Israel I talked to a very interesting man about ordinary citizens in Israel being able to concealed carry. It’s not that easy. When he moved from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv he wasn’t allowed to continue carrying his weapon. In fact, it’s really not all that easy to get a concealed carry permit, or even a gun in Israel if you’re a civilian. Of course soldiers have them, but I remember during the last intifada that they were trying to loosen restrictions so more people could get guns and carry them. Residents in Shomron (Samaria) and Judea can obtain them easier I believe, but plenty of crime happens everywhere. Of course the criminals can seem to find them anywhere, even on Har HaBayit, the Temple Mount. So.
So perhaps the 4 year olds father is in the military. I don’t know that many fathers who would leave their service weapon laying around so it could be stuffed into a backpack and taken to school. For another where would he have taught the child to shoot? Ranges are not prevalent.
In a column from 2014, Moshe Feiglin of the Zehut political party pointed out Gun Control? Or Citizen Control? Then in 2016 he called for more citizens to be allowed to carry weapons. Give the Good Guys Guns. Hopefully Moshe will be Prime Minister soon.
From there the erstwhile filmmakers wanted Mr. Van Cleave to help them make a “safety video” for children of all ages. Which involved hiding guns in stuffed toys. And making gun noises.
Mr. Van Cleave feels to point of the video is to discredit and harm Second Amendment people. He said they seem to set up near gun shows and are good at hiding their tracks. He said they were very good an mental manipulation, and seemed to have everything well thought out.
The end goal was to get the victim to make a “training film” teaching 3 and 4-year-olds how to shoot guns hidden in toy animals at “bad” people, to sing little songs and make gun noises during the training to make it “fun for children,” and even teach little kids how to shoot a rocket-propelled-grenade or a squad automatic weapon at an approaching suicide bomber vehicle!
UZI-CORN?? Seriously, well, there was also “Puppy pistol”.
But the fun doesn’t end there, they are also advertising on Criagslist for “Patriotic folks” to participate in a training style docu-show for a TV series. Ammoland has screen shots.
But, back to Israel teaching 4 year olds to shoot rocket propelled grenades and guns….yeahhhh, only if you understand that Gaza IS part of Israel, AS IS Judea and Shomron. In fact, the disaster known as Gaza is pretty much what the two state solution looks like. You know, the one constantly in “humanitarian crisis”? Ok, that’s another story, they keep electing Hamass, ok, another story….
Why, Sheila, whatever do you mean?? I mean it’s not Jewish or Christian Israelis teaching their 4 year olds to kill. It’s the “piece partners”in the Gaza strip, and one has also been run in FA territory. Yep, summer terrorist camps for kids.
So, yeah, if you count the Muslims occupying Israeli territory, that are teachingtheir 4 year olds to kill. Ok, but you know what? That isn’t the side that this group represents itself as supporting. So this stinks. And from the people that did do interviews with this group, there is plenty that stinks.
So be aware. I keep thinking about that buffoon Michael Moore and how he tried to ambush Charlton Heston, this has that set up Soros, Bloomburg, Moore stench to it.
And as long as we’re on the subject of school safety…
I realize no sane person probably watched the cnn #FakeNews townhall for information. Entertainment purposes perhaps, comedic relief? But not really for information, because it is cnn, where they follow the script to the letter and expect their actors to do so as well. Even if they were real people who didn’t want to follow a script.
But here is some information I doubt they covered.
We know that Bucket O’ Chum had been reported to the FIB, we know that the police had visited his home 39 times, although Coward county’s finest says it was “only” 23. Well, ok, well, then.
We know that four of Coward County’s finest sheriff’s deputies coward behind their patrol cars with their pistols drawn when Coral Springs police officers rolled up on the scene. One of them, the only armed person for the school. Their resource officer was outside the building. Which of course, means Bucket O’Chum had a clear path. There was no one inside that could have stopped him, because they were keeping the children safe by being in a “gun free (except for the killers) zone”. Well, perhaps one of the deputies was a leader in the Hamas-related Council on American-Islamic Relations, he is also a Broward Co. deputy. He stays busy training the men in his local radical mollusk to shoot. So understandable why he would think the slaughter of the children is ok I suppose.
The motive was simple. The school system administrators wanted to “improve their statistics” and gain state and federal grant money for improvements therein.
It’s important to remember that this was not an arbitrary change; this was a well-planned fundamental shift in the entire dynamic of how teenagers would be treated when they engaged in criminal conduct.
In essence the thugs and criminals, misguided youth, little darlings got a free pass. And since statistics needed to continue to improve, bigger and more violent crimes had to be excused as time went on. Gangs quickly jumped on the bandwagon and began to utilize more school students for their crimes since the police most likely wouldn’t do anything about it. This came to light back after the Trayvon Martin shooting.
Which is most likely why school resource officer Petersen wouldn’t share information on Bucket O’Chum with social services or anyone else who might have put him in jail or sent him to a psychiatric ward.
Somehow, I don’t think cnn, msnbc #FakeNews or “First Freedom Television” #Fake Television also, will be doing a real townhall or “documentary” on any of that.
But above all, just remember, in a crisis, the police are just a cellphone call and only moments away….except when they aren’t.
Sheriff Scott Israel (ah, geez, really? That had to be his name?) and fast friends. Hmm, may have found the problem.
Broward Co Sheriff and buddies
In last weeks Parsha, in a commentary I read, the Rabbi quoted Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. He talked about how Moshe told the children Do not despise an Egyptian, because you were strangers in his land. (Deut. 23:8), but of the Amalekites Moshe commands, “Remember.” “Do not forget.” “Blot out the name.” In Exodus the Torah says that “G-d shall be at war with Amalek for all generations” (Ex. 17:16). The Rabbi raises the question “Why the difference”?
Short version, because the Egyptians had a reason for fearing the Israelites, they were growing to be many and to be powerful. They feared if they were ever attacked the Israelites would join with the invaders. But the Amalekites? They attacked the weak and stragglers that were of no threat.
When hate is rational, based on some fear or disapproval that – justified or not – has some logic to it, then it can be reasoned with and brought to an end. But unconditional, irrational hatred cannot be reasoned with. There is nothing one can do to address it and end it. It persists.
I would maintain that the anti-gun leftists, the Soros and Bloomburg groups are Amalekites. They will NEVER be satisfied with compromise on a right. They will just keep coming back and demanding more. No matter how many innocent people have to die they will just keep pushing the lie. No matter if they tarnish reputations, ruin lives or enable tyranny, they do not care because that is their goal. They hate the idea of self-defense, freedom, liberty so much they will tell any lie, allow any number of people to die needlessly to further their agenda. Blind hatred that cannot be reasoned with or bargained with. Nor should we try.
So what is your reputation worth? To the 2nd Amendment people who have dealt with this scam, whoever is behind it, their reputation matters. But they are willing to put it on the line to get the word out to warn others and protect them from it. To the Sheriff who was apparently in full virtue signaling, gun control mode who spent his time at the cnn #FakeNews townhall attacking the NRA and it’s representative, it is hollow, falsely built up reputation. He seeks to enhance his by doing nothing of value and causing harm. He knew at the time his deputies were outside the building as the children were being killed. Unless he is dumb as a box of rocks, it should have crossed his mind had a teacher been armed perhaps the carnage could have been lessened. None of that mattered. Blind unreasoning hatred. His reputation is dust, may the wind soon blow it away.
I spent Valentine’s Day at a state Capitol building. I was part of a group that was trying to network Israeli technology with American companies and possibly governments, as well as just inform and answer questions. We had different sections such as agriculture, technology, history, famous people, medicine, and defense. I had three different mini-lectures to give on agricultural innovations. We each worked up our own lectures. I must say the day went very well for us with many legislators and office workers stopping at our display, listening to our talks and asking questions. The Capitol building itself is very beautiful, a historic building of charm and elegance. I helped with the set up of the screens and the posters and after we were done I admired both the beautiful posters and the paintings on the walls of the rotunda. The walls of the rotunda are covered with paintings of scenes of history. One was of cattle being loaded and I really looked at that one and thought, sometimes a cattle car, is just a cattle car. I spent extra time looking at the ones with horses in them of course. We had enough to be on each of the four wall sections.
At which point 3 women and a guy (?) that was a pure double for obama’s pajama boy came marching in. They were all wearing red t-shirts and red tennis shoes with sequins. Yes, I did say all. Want to hazard a guess what their t-shirts said? Yep, Moms Demand Autopsies. The leader informed the leader of my group that they had a wall reserved. They were way late getting there. Our group had been there and set up with military precision, gee I wonder why that, oh yeah. I was working with former IDF.
She demanded “Do you have a wall reserved”? He informed her we have three. She then demanded HER wall, and stated slightly hysterically actually, they have one HUNDRED people coming! Our leader calmly shrugged and said we had four hundred. We picked a wall, took our stuff and reorganized onto three. We weren’t try to TAKE their wall, we just didn’t realize anyone else was coming. I of course am trying not to retch, thinking really G-d? Is that your idea of a joke? They did have more people drift in during the day, but when they took their big group photo together they all huddled together and someone went up one floor so they could shoot down and then crop it so it would look crowded. There were maybe 25 people. Usual MDA math. I wanted to ask them if they still hated Jews and point to the cattle car and ask why?
But it was a full and successful day for us.
When I got in my little car and sped toward the beauty of the rural area inhabited by my fur children I chatted via bluetooth with one of my girlfriends about our days, lives, horses, the usual.
Which is why I didn’t hear about the school shooting till I got home. I hadn’t had the radio on. It made having shared a rotunda with Moms Demanding Autopsies all the sicker. I was glad I didn’t know then.
So much of that could have gone differently. The school knew that Bucket of Chum was a threat. He had been expelled for making death threats. He had posted a comment on a youtube web site he wanted to be a professional school shooter. That was last fall. The poster of the video immediately notified the FIB who talked to him the next morning for 15-20 minutes, and nothing came of it. Guess the FIB was busy with other things. The school sent a e-mail telling staff not to let him on campus with a backpack. Was he on medication? Was he on the same Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) drugs used for depression that the Columbine killers were on?
You know what else this lunatic had in common with other school murders? Using the fire alarm.
– 1974 Olean High School Shooting, Olean, New York. A student lit a Molotov cocktail inside the school and then shot 14 people fleeing the fire alarm from the third floor of the school.
-1981- University of Michigan Shooting. A dorm resident threw Molotov cocktails inside his dorm and shot two students fleeing the flames
– 1998 Westside Middle School, Jonesborough, AK. An 11-year old student asked to be excused from class. He pulled the fire alarm and then ran outside to join his friend in the woods 100 yards away from the school. The two killers shot students evacuating the school.
– 2013 Carver High School Shooting, Winston-Salem NC. A student fired five shots (hitting one person) during a scheduled school fire drill.
-2013 Thwarted University of Central Florida attack. A student pulled the fire alarm at his dorm and planned to shoot evacuating residents. The student’s roommate physically intervened after the alarm was pulled and the would-be killer shot himself instead.
– 2014 Marysville, Washington. A victim pulled the fire alarm to trigger an evacuation while a Freshman student was shooting up the school lunch room.
-2016 Jeremiah Burke High School Shooting in Dorchester, Maryland. Three people shot during a fire alarm evacuation.
-2016 OSU Terrorist Attack. An Islamist terrorist targeted students evacuating a fire alarm with a vehicle and knife attack.
-2017 Thwarted Catocin, Maryland High School attack. Student planned to use school “emergency drills” to bomb and kill her fellow students
– 2017 Aztec High School Shooting, Aztec, New Mexico. Fire alarms triggered in the school from smoke of shooter’s gunfire. Conflicting instructions for both a lockdown and a fire evacuation led to confusion and likely more victims.
– 2017 Thwarted Shooting at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania High School. Shooters were planning to pull the school fire alarm and shoot evacuating victims from the roof of the school.
-2018- Yesterday’s Stoneman Douglas School Shooting in Parkland, Florida. The shooter killed 17 students as they evacuated a fire alarm
So I would say based on the current screeches from the victim disarmament crowd, we need to outlaw fire alarms. Yes, yes, I know many will whine that their fire alarm hasn’t caused any deaths, but it could! That fire alarm in your child’s school could suddenly all on it’s own one day go off and cause your child to die! Isn’t it better to be safe and outlaw all fire alarms? If it saves even one child. I think the media need to voluntarily surrender their fire alarms immediately. Followed closely by all Demoncratic politicians to set a good example. They don’t really need fire alarms any more these days. Everyone has a cellphone with them, they can just call the fire department. It’s not like in the old days when people might not make it to a phone, or the lines might be melted. In a neighborhood folks would see the smoke and most likely call it in, there is no need for fire alarms. Then they can wait for the fire department to show up and stop the threat, because in addition to turning in their fire alarms, all the media and Demoncratic politicians need to turn in their high capacity fire extinguishers as well.
Armed Student & Teacher
So let’s talk about that wait. What do they do while they are waiting. Waiting for what? For the call to go out to the police, because the Police don’t respond to fire alarms normally. Few police departments have that as their policy it seems. So tripping the fire alarm doesn’t call the police. Then you wait for the police to show up. And then you wait for the SWAT team to show up. And then you wait as people die. Why call the police? Because you want a good guy with a gun to show up and stop the bad guy with a gun? Did the school hire off duty cops or extra security guards? No. Did the school have a security guard? Yes, the football coach apparently doubled as a security guard. Was he armed? No. He died shielding students with his body because that is all he flipping had. He gave his life in an attempt to save theirs. WHY the heck didn’t he have a gun? Why didn’t he have the most effective tool to stop this deadly threat? This is something that should be incomprehensible to sane people. It’s like the attack on the IDF soldiers in Jenin the day before.
“The mob quickly surrounded us, broke our windows, and tried to injure us. It was absolutely a lynch,” the soldier said.
“All I could do was scream until someone came to rescue us.”
Yep, soldiers from the IDF had to wait for the Falestinian Authority Police to show up and fire their guns in the air to disperse the crowd and rescue the IDF soldiers. The cherry on top is the FA Police recovered the M-16 stolen from one of the soldiers and returned it to the IDF.
Abu Mazen’s Idea of “Peace”
How you ask, could this happen? Why didn’t the soldiers defend themselves? The M-16 wasn’t loaded. And with the left leaning IDF leadership, they are possibly told that defense of their own life isn’t a valid reason. I’m sure Elor Azariya would agree.
And this is the painful point. There are people so tied to their failed ideology, “guns evil” and “can’t be seen as aggressor” that they are willing to sacrifice innocent lives. Did the gun free zone work? No. Did the staff email work? No. Did having an unloaded M16 stop a threat? No. In both cases it was (reasonably in the case of the FA) good guys showing up with guns.
So back to Moms Demanding Autopsies, them hating Jews and cattle cars being cattle cars. Does such Jew hatred still exist? Cape Town Hates Israel So Much It Rejected its Offer to End Drought Crisis. Zero day, the day it is expected to run out of water, is sometime in mid-April. Israel offered to help in many ways. It was all rebuffed. They are willing to lose their way of life, and let people die rather than to accept help from Jews, from Israel.
Lessons?
The wait for a good guy with a gun is long.
Bodies don’t stop bullets or protect others from them.
Empty M16s don’t stop lynch attempts.
Sometimes, a cattle car isn’t just a cattle car.
Schools over. Yes, Valentine’s Day is suppose to be about love. Not everyone makes that choice.
Now that the victim disarming gunpeople controllers are dancing in the blood of innocents, screeching for “common sense gun laws,” let’s see what we know about the alleged asshole.
He reportedly bought his rifle legally, passing a background check.
That last point is important, because it sounds like he shouldn’t have… except someone may not have been doing their jobs.
The school district is pretty quiet beyond saying the asshole was expelled for “disciplinary reasons,” but students — and others — have a lot more to say
The school had specifically identified him in the past as a “potential threat”.
His school activities included fighting, and possession of ammunition (for which he was forbidden to bring a backpack to school). Multiple knives, too; as in multiple at a time.
The police responded to his home “Many times” in response to threats, harassment, and window peeping.
Despite the complaints, violence, destruction, peeping tom activities, harassment, threats, and numerous police responses, apparently no one ever bothered arresting him. Much of this appears to have occurred while he was a minor, but serious actions also occurred — before this shooting — while he was an adult.
He could have been arrested. And based on the sheer number of witnesses coming forward, I think he could have been convicted of a crime making him a prohibited person.
He could have been taken into custody and presented to a judge who could have ordered him into involuntary mental health treatment. That’s a two-fer: he would have become a prohibited person, and just maybe they could have helped him.
Yes, I’m playing “Monday morning quarterback;” ‘hindsight’s 20/20,’ and all that. But with a years-long history of mental health issues, threats, harassment, violence, destruction, weapons violations, expulsion, and police complaints, are my after-action observations unreasonable?
The victim disarming gunpeople controllers will say, “Yes.” They’ll blame the gun. They’ll blame the millions of gun owners who didn’t do it. They’ll screech for new laws that already exist (yes, someone already called for background checks). They’ll ignore the fact that several laws of the sort they promised would end violence forever… didn’t work.
Which just means they’ll demand still more laws. That still won’t work, when blatant threats like this guy go uncontrolled, and when the laws never really apply to the people committing the crimes.
Jews. Guns. No compromise. No surrender.
