Building the Walz

Well boy howdy, do the Demoncrats ever have a task in front of them! Even tougher perhaps than building something that would actually serve America, you know, they country they claim to love, namely, a border wall. No no, that’s not needed or wanted according to the Demoncrat party. No instead they’ve chosen to build the Walz. A third rate politician enamored with the Chinese brand of Communism.

I’m sure we’ve all heard how brave #TamponTim carried weapons in war. Oh? The hashtag? One of his major accomplishments besides allowing his cities to burn during the George Floyd riots to enact social justice for a drug addicted thief who once pointed a gun at the stomach of a pregnant woman during a robbery was putting tampon dispensers in the boy’s bathroom in schools. Boy if nothing else screams poor judgment, one would think that would! But I’ll see if I can up the ante.

Since we’re on the topic of the George Floyd riots, lets look at how the people #TamponTim is closest to dealt with the riots that burned businesses to the ground and saw many attacked by the likes of Antifa and BLM.

His wife Gwen kept the windows open because she enjoyed the smell of the city burning to the ground.

The wife of Democrat VP-pick Tim Walz said during an interview in 2020 that she kept her windows open for as long as she could so she could smell the burning of tires rioters set on fire during the Minneapolis-area riots in response to the death of George Floyd.

During the 2020 riots, cities like Minneapolis burned, costing hundreds of millions of dollars in damage. Gov. Walz has been criticized for his slow response to the destruction and violence by the left-wing protesters.

“We had more sleepless nights during the riots,” Gwen Walz told an ABC News affiliate back in July 2020. “I could smell the burning tires, and that was a very real thing. I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening.”

Well, perhaps his daughter is slightly less deranged than her parents? Nope.

Hope Walz’s Old Posts Spark Attacks From Conservatives

On May 30, 2020, Walz’s daughter, now 23, reportedly reposted and responded to an account on X, formerly Twitter, that urged all protesters to “GET OUT NOW” because the National Guard and SWAT were allegedly on their way to the scene of the Minneapolis riots. In the post thread, she insisted to protesters that the National Guard “WILL NOT be present tonight.”

Her reported post stated that “there is a lot of misinformation that is further spreading fear and chaos at the scene of the protests..the guard can not be sent in within minutes. it takes time for them to deploy because they come from all over the state. to be clear, the national guard will not be present tonight. just because someone asked for something doesn’t mean it’s happening right away or even happening at all. i don’t know about swat but what i do know is the guard will not be present arresting people tonight.”

And how about the radical jihadi Walz is so crazy about? Illan Omar?

Minnesota Governor’s Daughter Used Tweet to Deliver Intel to Looters and Rioters

Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter Isra Hirsi, retweeted a list of supplies for “comrades” who are rioting in Minneapolis.

Isra Hirsi is the co-founder of US Youth Climate Strike and her Twitter bio says she ‘hates capitalism.’

Isra Hirsi retweeted a post from Twin Cities DSA (Democratic Socialists of America): Want to help out your comrades protesting at the 3rd precinct (at Lake and Minnehaha?)

Golly gosh, gee whillikers! Just think of all the primo information his daughter would have to sell out the whole country instead of just a state full of innocent citizens if her dad is ever near the white house.

What did old Kamel-toe herself do during the riots? Did the former prosecutor and VP nominee strongly urge stiff sentences for those that rioted and burned the livelihood and hard work of innocent Americans to the ground? Did she object to the innocent people violently attacked? Naw, in true Demoncratic form, she sided with the criminals. Demoncrats are sometimes predictable.

She wrote entire blog posts asking people to donate to a fund that released murderers.

Vice President Kamala Harris promoted the Minnesota Freedom Fund, an organization that has since used donor contributions to bail out violent criminals, in a May 2020 blog post.

Harris encouraged her readers to help “the protestors on the front lines” of the riots following the death of George Floyd by donating to the Minnesota Freedom Fund in the blog post, first reported by the Washington Examiner. The Minnesota Freedom Fund went on to bail out multiple convicted murderers and other violent criminals in the years following the riots, according to court records.

Now we’ll hit the big one, the “weapons of war” comment.

As I’m sure everyone knows, #TamponTim didn’t go to “war”, he went to Italy and then misrepresented his service and his rank.

I’m sure we’ve all figured out that Kamala and #TamponTim would be bad for the rights of law-abiding Americans.

A resurfaced video depicts vice presidential nominee and Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz praising a Hitler-promoting Muslim cleric as a “master teacher,” after his campaign denied that they had a “personal” relationship.

Walz hosted the individual — Imam Asad Zaman — at an Islamic Center event in 2018, where he applauded his wisdom and expressed gratitude for the “lesson[s]” he taught him, according to an unearthed video obtained by The Washington Examiner and published on Tuesday. Zaman has publicly promoted claims that Hitler was a misunderstood hero and declared “[Palestine’s]… right to defend itself “the day Hamas invaded Israel on Oct. 7 and killed roughly 1,200 people.

Harris’ Walz Problem Just Got Even Messier

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, on at least five occasions as governor of Minnesota, hosted a Muslim cleric who celebrated Hamas‘s Oct. 7 attack last year on Israel and promoted a film popular among Neo-Nazis that glorifies Adolf Hitler, the Washington Examiner found.

The imam, Asad Zaman of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, joined other Muslim leaders in May 2023 for a meeting about mosque security with Walz’s gubernatorial office in Minnesota. Zaman also spoke at a May 2020 event to call for peaceful protests with the governor during the riots in Minnesota sparked after George Floyd’s death. In April 2019, the cleric delivered an invocation before Walz’s state address — just months after Zaman called for an end to a government shutdown at a press conference with Walz in January 2019.

Zaman, moreover, attended a May 2019 event that Walz hosted for Ramadan, social media posts show.

Walz’s ties to Zaman could serve as problematic baggage for the Minnesota governor as he campaigns with Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee. News of the ties also comes after a Washington Free Beacon report this week found Walz spoke at a 2019 event with an antisemitic scholar who has defended terrorism against Israel.

In recent years, Zaman has also appeared to equate Hamas committing terrorism to Israel defending itself. State records reviewed by the Washington Examiner show Walz’s administration has awarded over $100,000 in funding to MAS Minnesota.

The Muslim American Society was once described by federal prosecutors as being “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States,” court records show. The MAS, which the United Arab Emirates designated as a terrorist group in 2014, came under fire in 2019 after a video surfaced online of children at an event held by its Philadelphia chapter calling for the murder of Jews.

“We will chop off their heads, and we will liberate the sorrowful and exalted Al-Aqsa Mosque,” two young girls said at the event, according to the Times of Israel.

Vice presidential nominee Tim Walz gave an extreme Muslim cleric’s group $100,000 of public funds and has hosted him at official events as governor of Minnesota, The Washington Examiner reported Friday.

Asad Zaman has been a mouthpiece for Hamas for many years, publicizing its propaganda on his social media.

On October 7th, the day the terrorist organization invaded Israel, massacring 1,200 people, including infants, and abducting some 250 to hold as hostages, the imam said that he “stands in solidarity with Palestinians against Israeli attacks.”

And this is the man that Kamel-toe chose over the Jewish governor of Pennsylvania, a state she needs, though she may get it anyway. But, I guess considering where she got her “JOY” campaign slogan, that could have been uncomfortable.

No wonder she picked Walz

I’ve heard people ask did Kamel-toe even vet this guy? Did she know how horrible he is? I think that’s naive at best. Of course she did. She picked exactly what she wanted. A Jew hating radical communist. Just like herself. Someone that has no problem using tyranny to rule over innocent defenseless subjects. One would think the fact he abandoned his 87 year old mother who had recently had heart surgery during covid would turn her off. Cracked.com can be outrageous, funny, annoying, and even occasionally informative. This past weekend, they were disgusting genocide-apologists.

All German gun ownership was banned after World War I, but in 1928, Germany passed the Law on Firearms and Ammunition. It loosened gun regulations, but permits were needed, and all new gun purchases had to be registered. However, plenty of Germans, including Jewish citizens, just held onto their guns from World War I, so those went unregistered.

In 1938, Hitler further deregulated guns with the German Weapons Act, which exempted Nazi Party members from most regulations and lowered the legal age to own a gun from 20 to 18. At this point, they were essentially handing out firearms to whoever looked the least “exotic.”

The 1938 law did strip Jewish citizens of their guns, but that’s an indictment of targeting specific demographics, not gun policy. Even for Jewish citizens who held onto their guns, a couple rifles wouldn’t do much good when an entire army came to their doors. Remember, lax gun laws mean that the people who hate you have easy access to guns too.

The argument of Assarian, et al, is that gun control is fine so long as you’re only targeting despised minorities like Jews for extermination.

And, naturally, they misrepresent the gun laws of Germany of the time. Shall we look at the facts?

Pre-Nazi German conservative leaders passed a victim disarmanent law in 1928. The first fact is that the law was aimed at those upstart socialists and communists who were making trouble in the streets; those socialists specifically including the Nazis.

When the Nazi took power, they used registration lists (from the existing law) to disarm political foes.

On March 18, 1938, the Nazis passed a new law superseding the 1928 law, implementing handgun control. Essentially, only Nazi party members and allies could be lawfully armed. Jews specifically could not own firearms.

On November 10, 1938 — after Kristallnacht — the Nazis went one “better.” Jews were prohibited from possessing any weapon, “even clubs or knives.”

But the people attacking Jews and their property weren’t disarmed, so Cracked is cool with it; it’s not an “indictment” of gun policy in general.

Regardless of your stance on guns, saying that Jews could have stopped the Holocaust if only they’d had more firepower is sleazy victim-blaming…

I don’t claim they could have stopped the Holocaust in its tracks; that, despised Cracked, is a strawman argument. My position is that if more Jews (and gays, Rom, et cetera) hadn’t been forcibly disarmed, they might’ve had a better chance of resisting.

As they did in the Warsaw Ghetto. Armed with a few hoarded firearms and mostly homemade explosives, the Jews tied up two battalions (and hundreds of other troops) for a month. They lost, but a few escaped.

And I don’t think we should discount the possibility that others lived due to the Ghetto occupants’ sacrifice, because those engaged troops weren’t out rounding up other “undesirables.”

A few hundred Jewish combatants. A few horded and smuggled guns.

And they kept more than two battalions engaged for a month.

We should not discount the possibility that, with more and better arms denied by the Nazis and their allies, the resistance might have been even more effective.

I think I should also address this common leftist/socialist claim:

The Nazis were definitely fascists.

They were also definitely socialists. Take a look at their National Socialist Program:

“[T]he program championed the right to employment, and called for the institution of profit sharing, confiscation of war profits, prosecution of usurers and profiteers, nationalization of trusts, communalization of department stores, extension of the old-age pension system, creation of a national education program of all classes, prohibition of child labour, and an end to the dominance of investment capital”

Does that sound like something you might hear from self-acknowledged socialist Bernie Sanders, or Democrat Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

The Nazis were nationalist socialists (hence the name); fascist socialists. The socialists (and communists) they suppressed were merely competitors for the top slot, to be in charge. The only significant ideological differences between the Nazis and the supposed socialist was nationalism versus — Soviet-style — internationalism: “Our socialist country is better than other countries, and we’ll be in charge” versus “We want one big world socialist order, and we expect to be in charge.”

Of course the self-aggrandizing Nazis suppressed them. They expected to run their worldwide Reich anyway, eventually. They didn’t want any more competition than they already had on their plate.

I wonder if Cracked’s Steve Assarian, Mike Bedard, E. M. Caris, and Michael Battaglino would declare Antifa to be…

Gun control is victim disarmament, and it’s a lot easier to manage confiscation of war profits, prosecution of usurers and profiteers, nationalization of trusts, communalization of department stores when the victim is helpless. Memes comparing the Parkland students to Nazis have circulated at the fringes for days, but on Tuesday seemed to find a wider audience.

I wonder what gives people that impression.

Hijacking “Never Again” to promote victim disarmament as the Nazis did with the Weapons Law of 1938 (which has its own odd connection to previous US legislation)? I keep expecting to Hogg to froth at the mouth and bring up a “final solution.”

Or maybe it’s their attire.

I’d put off writing this column because I feel so strongly about the subject. If that sounds paradoxical, all me to explain.

I am an impassioned writer. Sometimes, when I feel strongly about something — when I’m angry — that is reflected in my writing to an extent I think is inappropriate for The Zelman Partisans. I try to keep the material with extreme tone and language confined to my personal site.

This time — because I’m angry, and the topic — it is appropriate to TZP.

I generally avoid Twitter and Facebook, for reasons of my own, so I don’t know just when the victim-disarming gun people-controlling fascists of the anti-RKBA movement adopted the hashtag slogan. I noticed it, and expected it to fade away when someone clued in the idiots. Around the time of the Parkland shooting it became impossible to miss. And either no clued them in…

Or it was exactly the message they want.

Scumbags in the major leftist media want you to associate this hashtag slogan with “eliminating school massacres.” Their clueless dupes go along. (I’m looking at you, David and Emma.)

Let me tell you about six million men, women, and children deliberately disarmed, herded away to concentration camps, and murdered. Seventeen million total “undesirables.”

Right about now, I’m sure the folks doomed to repeat history are smugly proclaiming that to be a right-wing gun-clinger lie, that the Nazis didn’t disarm anyone because the gun control laws were passed by the Weimar Republic. That conveniently ignores the 1938 — Nazi — law that allowed the denial of permits and licenses for Jews and other “undesirables.”

It ignores the 1938 Regulations Against Jews’ Possession of Weapons implemented the day after Kristallnach.

Common Core History skipped Kristallmacht? That was when the socialist Nazi government shuttered Jewish news and information sources, then allowed mass rioting and violence against those undesirable Jews. (Try googling “never again”, then try a search engine without the gun control spin.)

(I see Twitter, Facebook, and the “news” media has the blackout well in hand.)

Perhaps we should look back a few more years. The Reichstag Fire comes to mind: Someone torched the German parliment building; “communists” were blamed, and it was used as an excuse to pass new laws to suspend human/civil rights. Modern day victim-disarming rat bastards see every new high profile shooting — especially the ones the government should have been able to prevent (see Sutherland Springs, Orlando, DC Navy Yards, Charleston, Parkland) — as their own personal Reichstag fire to justify rationalize disarming the millions of people who didn’t do it.

Just like good little Nazis, pointing their fingers at the Jews… NRA… gun owners. Working to “make people free” of fear of gun violence.

#NEVERAGAIN is not yours to use to distort reality. It certainly isn’t your to use to reaccomplish the Nazis’ evil; disarming the undesirables all over again.

The Same Side of the Same Coin

I’ve been pondering many things about the incident at Charlottesville. So many people act and talk as though it was “right” vs “left”, or “alt-right” vs “alt-left”. I don’t believe it was any such thing. I believe it is one side of the same coin.

Really, who didn’t see this coming when they started in on the Confederate Flag? “Symbol of Hate” it was labeled, all discussion of “states rights” produced the glazed stare of a deer in the headlights, then heads would spin around twice and invective would flow. Since no one wants to be labeled a racist, and we should all know by now, it is only socially acceptable to label a white as a racist usually, though there can be exceptions. For instance, this is not a racist statement

Now some will chose to bow to the alter of political correctness and remove part of our country’s history, the “Stars and Bars”, which was never carried in battle. And I suppose people thought it would stop there? Have they never heard of shark bumps? I remember hearing a lawyer, Kevin Jamison, talk about how a shark will bump it’s prey before it attacks to see what it will do. If nothing, it’s dinner time. Criminals behave the same way in case you didn’t know.

So back to Charlottesville. Some interesting things here, as Doug Giles points out in some of the photos, the flags look like they were just unfolded from a box. Also that few Southerners would be likely to have anything to do with nazis, as many of them had Grandfathers that died fighting them, and memories go way back.

Next up for you consideration, is the man who killed Heather Heyer and injured 19 other people. While some claim he was “neo-nazi”, there has been evidence put forth he was a hillary clinton supporter, I know, none of these are getting capital letters, and a member of antifa.

Then there was the police response, or rather, non-response. Gov. terry mcAwful has praised the police for the magnificent job they did and for their restraint. And mentioned ad nauseam how out-gunned the state police were by the right. No mention of the weaponry on the left of course. He told how the police had found weapons the side he called “the right” had stashed around town. Except according to Virginia State police, they hadn’t. Ooopsie. One police officer has come forward and claimed they were told to stand down. There is a audio clip if you want to listen to it.

A police officer has said that the Charlottesville P.D. were specifically instructed to bring the radical left and right wing groups together to instigate violence and then to told to “stand down” once violence ensued in a deliberate effort to ignite a race riot.

It seems that antifa hasn’t been paid, you remember soros funded many of the “grassroots loot, pillage, burn, riot, assault, peaceful demonstrations” during the campaign season and whenever a conservative tries to speak in a safe space known as a college campus or university, right? I mean, the poor little dears get frightened when they see a name that scares them written in chalk. Universities are doing an outstanding job of preparing these children to live in the real world. But back to soros and antifa, he owes them some money. And if he’s wise, he’ll pay up. That bulldog slug of journalism known as #FakeNews changed the headline of a story about antifa being violent because antifa didn’t like it, and #FakeNews must have been scared they would be violent. So they scrubbed it.

Then if you want violent leftist, Missouri has the misfortune of having people that will elect something like Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal. First she tweeted that the President should be assassinated. Then after that drew outrage, she doubled down on stupid and tweeted a Holocaust themed threat at Missouri’s Jewish Governor, Eric Greitens. And folks, you just can’t make this stuff up. It was so egregious that even abc had to cover the story. Does it not make you wonder that people think this stuff is ok?

The howling left has not been happy about how President Trump responded to the Charlottesville violence. It wasn’t enough, it wasn’t the right words, it was/wasn’t _________________. I read an excellent column by Rabbi Prof. Dov Fischer

I just did something fascinating. I just watched the President’s entire 14-minute impromptu news conference at Trump Tower on Monday that sparked all the latest barrage of anti-Trump screeds from the left media that will criticize him every day, no matter what he does, augmented by the “Never Trump” Republicans and neo-conservatives who will not rest until they can re-conquer the political party they lost because of three terms of two failed Bush presidencies, followed by the two failed Presidential candidacies of Sen. John McCain and of Gov. Mitt Romney.

As he says, he listened to what President Trump said, not what the media said he said. His whole column is excellent. He looks back at some history and puts things in perspective.

Jack Engelhard points out to be a “good Jew” you must hate Trump. As always, it’s a column by Jack, so it’s good. Trump and Israel haters get religion.

So bottom line – hating Trump is required but there is more to it than that. Do you hate Trump ENOUGH? That is the question.

Jack also shares my opinion on what happens when you allow your past to be ripped away.

We don’t get to pull ourselves from our roots as if the good, the bad and the ugly never happened. Once we do that, we’ve handed ourselves over to the mobs who want the past, present and future only to themselves. The best of who we are is also at risk when we fall for the tyranny of forgetfulness.

See, then you end up with people who claim the Temple Mount has nothing to do with the Jews, and people that don’t know that Israel was Israel before it was Syria Palestinia, or even why that happened.

If you are compelled to tear something down, here ya go.

But here’s the thing, people think the left is on one side of the political spectrum, like communists and socialists and the right is one the other side of the political spectrum like nazis and fascists. Note that antifa takes their name “anti-fascist” in opposition to “deplorables” and anyone on the “right”. But they aren’t opposite ends of the spectrum at all!!! They are on the SAME end! They are the SAME side of the SAME coin! All the groups want big government and oppose freedom, the very thing they claim they want. They do not! The opposite end of the spectrum is anarchy! Do yourself a huge favor and watch this video. It’s so good I’m only giving you one video this time. The result of things like this in Charlottesville and Boston is to make it difficult for conservatives to openly assemble and express their viewpoint. See what you think, because I think it’s the same plugged nickel.

Never Forget

I don’t normally blog on Jewish history. I leave it to others, who are much better versed than I. However, when a friend posted this on Facebook, I simply couldn’t resist sharing.

It’s a reminder. Never forget that once you cede that your rights are merely privileges granted at the whim of a government, they can be taken away at that same whim.

Yad Vashem

I’m not really Israeli, I’m not Jewish, but I care deeply about Yad Vashem, and you should too. Why? Read on.

This was my first big adventure, after landing at Ben Gurion airport with it’s plaque telling when it was freed by the IDF on the 10th of July 1948 in the War for Independence.

The visit to Yad Vashem starts out in a theater. It has a looping film showing slices of life, conversation and music in the days before the madness began. It’s like being behind the lens of a camera that is panning a street. There are apartment buildings and you see people through the windows doing things like having dinner, practicing a violin, teaching, visiting. Then you might see a office building, or a factory. Through their windows you see people doing things. Eventually the panning shifts and you see country side with people working, children playing. Slices of normal life, the way life should have remained for them, but didn’t. Yad Vashem covers why it didn’t, what happened when it didn’t and the final “victory”, which it was, but at a fearful price.

The first of the displays talks about what life was like, before the nazis (nazis don’t deserve capital letters) really had power, they were just beginning to grow in their influence. How many of the Jews were professional people, like doctors, lawyers, teachers. Many if not most, I imagine, of the children went to school, like other children. They had families, lives and their synagogues. Slowly that began to change. Initially Germans resisted the attempts to vilify their neighbors that had lived among them for so long. It took hitler (he doesn’t get capital letters either)  a while to change people’s mindsets. When he first began to attempt to blame the Jews for all the ills Germany was undergoing, they didn’t buy in. Given time, and help they were not only willing to turn a blind eye, they did buy in.

I think if we look at where some of that help came from and what it was it could be very useful for us today. What is it they say? Those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it.

I guess one of the things that struck me about how life was “before” was the feeling of trust. The Jews thought they were safe. The Germans, Poles, and others were their neighbors. They had “coexisted” for a very long time. Co-exist is a lovely sentiment, makes a darling bumper sticker (or an advertisement for who would be an easy target when things go south) and if all parties were willing it would be wonderful. But history seems to show us one of the parties in the “coexist” will decide they don’t want to “coexist” they want to rule, or destroy another party, and they set about doing it. The rest of the museum deals with the result of the “coexist” mindset.

Some of the exhibits, many actually would have film clips you could watch. Some of footage shot during the holocaust, some of survivors, some of observers. One was of a woman that told of her Mother having made a hiding place in the closet and when the nazis would come she would shove them in it. The last time the nazis came she talked them into letting her get her coat. She opened the closet, quietly said “Good-bye girls, if I’m not back by night, go to the TenBooms” I have to wonder if that would be Corrie TenBoom, the author of “The Hiding Place”. Quite a book and a movie. She didn’t come back. Some of the people knew who betrayed them. It was their friends, and neighbors. People they had known and trusted for years. But why would these former friends betray them to such a horrific fate? The museum had some very compelling evidence how it could happen.

A very charismatic leader came to power using the slogan “Hope and Change”, whoops wrong slogan, hitler’s was just “Hope”. Hope for Germany. Germany had been in a sad state of affairs since the last war they started, their debt was crushing them. And Mr. Germany (who wasn’t really German) knew who to blame. The Jews, he was very upfront about his feelings, but the low info voters blew off the warning signs in his book Mein Kampf.  So hitler promised Germans he would provide ice cream, rainbow strew and free hitler phones to all when he was elected. He purchased a newspaper to spread his screed. Tyrants today do not need to go to such lengths as the print media is pretty well on board and does the screed spreading for free, as they’ve bought in to the ideology. Pretty much the same with TV, for those that get out of line and really are investigative journalists you can read my post on Sharyl Atkisson. Or perhaps study the late Andrew Breitbart. And, he had his new propaganda minister to help out. I don’t know if the media back then were willing participants, or if they were forced but you began to see “cartoons” of Jews handing out poison candy to unsuspecting children. In fact there is a whole collection of these cartoons. Some of them were used in schools, proving “common core” is really nothing new. You can see several of them here. http://www.calvin.edu/academic/cas/gpa/thumb.htm They sort of remind me of the way that cartoonist for the Kansas City “Red Star” portrays gun owners. I haven’t taken that rag for years, if they can’t report a story involving a firearm accurately after it has happened why would I think anything else they report is accurate? Vilification of Jews in cartoons was nothing new, it occurred in the middle ages as well, and the nazis happily revived some of the old woodcuts. I will tell you before you look, it’s vile, the only reason I’m giving the link is I saw a platter with that woodcut image in the museum. Yep, people served food on them, there were also plates so people ate off them.

The culture was changing that made it not only acceptable but desirable to isolate and vilify one group of people. An artist named Charlotte Salomon (Apr 1917-10 Oct 1943 Auschwitz) did a series of paintings that chronicled her life entitled “Life or Theater”. They showed the changes in life the longer the nazis were in power. Her family had been quite comfortable before all the “hopey-changey” stuff took place. Her Dad was a surgeon, which became one of the prohibited professions for Jews. Charlotte had gained University acceptance to the United State school of pure arts, but in time she refused to go as it wasn’t safe. She and her husband fled to France where she continued to paint. When the nazis intensified their search in France for Jews, she and her husband were found. They were sent to Auschwitz, she was gassed the day she arrived and she was pregnant. Charlotte had turned over her paintings to a trusted friend for protection. She told the friend they were her life, she painted frantically towards the end. There was a picture of a beautiful young girl, she had long thick auburn braids in the picture. The braids are in the display case below, still braided, still thick and rich in auburn color. The owner long ago murdered. Part of the piles of things collected in the camps, like hair, teeth, glasses, shoes, some of this was re-purposed for the German army. And piles of bones and bodies, lots of the bodies those things used to belong to. The jewelry of course had been confiscated.

My hands down favorite part of the museum was the section dedicated to the resistance. It was pitifully small. When you realize what the nazis did to the children of G-d, I suspect it might make the Egyptians look like a bad date. The weapons of resistance were pitifully few, and pitifully poor. I saw a rifle labeled as a pistol grip. Phooey! It was a rifle with the stock broke off. I’m sure it was easier to hide, but that’s all it was. There was one or two magazines laying beside it. Yes, there were a few other things in that section, but not enough. There should have been a room piled with magazines, rifles and all manner of things that had been used to defend the people. Two quotes struck me from this section.

Today it will be half a year since our destruction began [July 1942]. Had we but resisted then, at least as much as we resisted during the last deportation [January 1943], the Nazis would not have succeeded so easily in destroying such a large Jewish community. If the Jews had at the very least not gone of their own free will, but stubbornly hidden as they have been doing in the last few days – then the deportation would have lasted for months on end. One shudders to think that it required a quarter of a million Jews to give their lives, for the remainder to understand the reality of the situation and come to the right conclusions. I had coffee with a friend not long ago, we were talking about this. I said “If I were in charge, Yad Vashem would be a very different place. There would be rooms and rooms showing the different methods that were used to fight off an aggressor dedicated to erasing a section of the population off the face of the earth”. There would have been rooms showing the trials, and what happened to those that became tyrants and served tyrants. There would have been rooms dedicated to the victory celebration and one room to commemorate the six people that died fighting to save the lives of the innocents, because six people would have been all of the innocents that died. The death toll on the tyrant side would have been much higher.

So while the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto realized they were in a fight for their lives (finally) and news of the uprising began to come out, the rest of the world seems to have emitted a collective yawn. And so the poison gas flowed through the sewers, the tanks rolled in, fire spread and the people died. In recent times events have occurred that should make people sit up and take notice or at least open their eyes a bit wider in alarm, seems only to prompt only the changing of the channel to American Idol and people grab a coke with a smile. Putin rolls into the Ukraine and barry draws another red line in the sand. Isn’t it interesting that Putin is using the same excuse hitler did to invade countries? Well, when a country has ineffective leadership (at least in a positive direction, taking the country down the drain he’s a master at) you get things like the first lady holding up a sign begging a terrorist group to give back kidnapped girls. Yeah Mooch, that’ll do it.

Women in the camps didn’t have it any easier. They had to deal with things like Bloody Brigitte, she always struck till there was blood, she released her dogs on the prisoners. This sadistic German nurse spent time in prison for her crimes. I’m quite sure the prison she spent time in was much nicer than the ones she presided over.

There were also displays of pieces of medical equipment that could be used to determine if someone was Jewish, based on facial feature measurements. Now we don’t need those things, we have biometrics. They had helpful little “family tree” examples to determine the fate of someone’s life based on their grandparents.

I tend to look at patterns, and I’m seeing one. I’m seeing a pattern of a segment of a population being vilified by politicians, cartoonist ridiculing political and religious beliefs. Any attempt by the pitifully small remnant of a “news” media to point out the corruption is stifled. Anyone speaking out against it can look forward to IRS intervention to shut them down. And one party has called for the IRS to shut down political dissent. And yet from those espousing “tolerance” (but only for certain groups) are the very ones that push such policies using bully politics. You think people aren’t losing their jobs because of political or religious beliefs? Ask a pair of twin brothers that lost their new show on HGTV because it came out they were……..sssshhhhh, “Christians”. The same tactics have been tried against a store selling chicken sandwiches and a man that made & sells duck calls. WOW. So, HGTV pulled the new show. Darn, I will miss “Property Brothers”, but hey, they don’t want “my kind” of viewer,so I will oblige them, and their sponsors. You know, that’s the thing about a pattern, I’ve never bought a pattern for a shirt and ended up with a saddle blanket. They are worth paying attention to.

I was speechless.

There’s nothing I can say about this clueless, feckless twit that hasn’t been said already by the Internets. I’m just here to show you irrefutable proof that Moms Demand Action frothing lunatics are also ignorant of history.

And we know what happens to those who forget history.

Yes, the photo above was from an actual conversation one of the guys I follow on Twitter had with a Moms Demand Action leader!

It’s quite obvious Alison A. Martin had no idea who Josef Goebbels was, so she replied in the usual gun-grabber flippancy.

I’m betting that after a cursory Google search, she realized what she said. But in typical gun grabber style, she deactivated her Twitter account, deleted her other social media, and went into hiding, so to speak, rather than admit and own her mistake.

Cowardice, ignorance, and lack of personal responsibility… all trademarks of Bloombergian idiots.

Meet your adversary, and take the time to ridicule it.

And then fear for the future of this nation, if there are actually political activists out there who are so stunningly ignorant about World War II, the Holocaust, and the Nazis.

I thought this was an appropriate first post for the Zelman Partisans.
